    I have been looking for a hair salon since I moved to Tampa a couple months ago. Somtimes it is hard to find a good one that suits you when you start living in new place.If I couldnt find the good hair salon I had to cut and color my hair by myself.I am Asian with wavy to curly hair that is damaged from repetitive self bleach. Alicia was very confident and full of knowledge, she revitalized my hair and brought back my curls again! Im also impressed with her dry cut techniques which makes it easy to manage my hair at home. I will definitely go back to her again to get pintura highlights. Thank you so much!

    Alicia has been cutting my hair for years and is the only Deva Cut specialist I trust with my curls. I used to hate my curly hair and tried to “manage” it with silicone and oil products that greased it up and weighed it down. From my very first appointment with Alicia, she taught me how to love my curls with the right products, styling methods, and care. I continue to come back for her expert guidance and styling.     Went to Alicia for the first time a little over a week ago and she did a fantastic job on my hair. I had never came out of a hair salon loving my curls before I went to her. She gave me products that worked for my hair, an amazing haircut, and taught me how to do it myself. I will be back to cut my hair with her. She was in a rush the day I went to her and she still managed to give me exactly what i wanted and I left more than satisfied with the services provided by her!     I have been coming to Alicia since Dec 2022. She is the only person I’ve been coming to for my trims and cuts and I have noticed a vast difference thanks to her and her guidance in the health and maintenance of my curls. This last visit with her in January 2024 I left noticing and realizing that patience does play a big part and left happier than I ever have.     I have been solely going to Alicia since 2017. She is amazing! I had been to other curly hairstylists in the area and was left disappointed at the cut and color. Every time I leave the salon now, I absolutely love my cut! I have gone from long to short and it has looked good every time. I recently did pintura highlights (natural color for over 10 years) for the 1st time and it looks so good! My family complimented my hair as soon as they saw me.     This was my first experience with a “curl cut” and it was the best decision that I made for my hair!     I’ve been using Alicia since 2018 after following her on Instagram for a while. I’ve been so happy with her services, I even got my mom hooked onto her! She helped my mom to discover her curls she didn’t even know she had all these years! Alicia is very knowledgeable about curl cuts and products that help to nourish the hair and help with styling. She is laser focused when a client is in her chair, which I appreciate. A good curly cut is not cheap, if you’re wanting cheap go to Supercuts. Alicia is a professional that takes great pride in her art, and I know I’m also paying for her years of practice it took to master her trade and knowledge! I also feel like my curly cuts last longer, usually 5-7 months before I need to go back. Whereas with other stylists I felt like I needed a trim every 3 months. So I have no problem paying for quality to maintain my healthy hair. Finding a hair stylist can be very stressful. Most of us have all had the experience at one point or another of a bad hair cut/color experience. I’m so happy to have found Alicia because I know when I sit in her chair, I’m in great hands! I’ll never have to stress again 😊

    Despite years of trying out different products, I have always struggled with undefined, frizzy, and dry-looking hair, so I finally decided to make the investment and go to a curly hair specialist-- Im so thankful I did, and Im happy I chose Alicia! The transformation really was 0 to 100; she helped make my curls more hydrated and defined than ever before.Alicia was recommended by a fellow curly-haired friend and, after looking at the transformation photos on her social media, I went ahead and made the appointment on her website, which was very easy to navigate. Throughout the appointment, Alicia made sure to explain what she was doing, what kind of products she recommended + tips for taking care of my hair, and answer any questions I had. I came in with my hair already cut fairly short (a previous cut I wasnt happy with from a few weeks prior) and was worried I would have to lose the little length I had, but Alicia gave me an even cut with the soft layers and kept the length like I asked! She sells products but doesnt push them on you; I decided to buy and try products from her because I really liked the end result. Since my appointment (two weeks ago), I have been working on re-learning and establishing my curly-hair routine following her suggestions. She even helped me post-appointment with some questions I had.Im really excited to have re-started my curly hair journey with Alicias guidance!     The picture with my black hair is my before. I went a full year of straightening my curls and my hair was very damaged and dry. I went to Alicia to revive my curls shown in the second photo and add some pintura highlights to my curls. My experience with the pintura highlights was amazing compared to the last hair stylist I went too. My last hair stylist killed my hair and Alicia’s treatment and techniques for pintura curls really brought my curls back.I honestly think if you want to start your curly hair journey you should definitely start it with Alicia!

There are dozens of local places in St. Pete I could go to, however they pale in comparison to Alicia’s skills, so I gladly drive half an hour to see her.Alicia is the curly hair whisperer. I love how she only uses clean, Innersence products too.     Alicia Torrens cut my hair, and let me say, it is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten hands down. My hair had a complete transformation from when I first walked into her studio to what it looks like now.     First timer! But definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had. I usually dont like going to salons since I always end up with something I didnt ask for.     I went to Alicia for my 15 year old daughters hair. I had tried EVERYTHING under the sun on her hair and nothing made it look good. I bought the Deva Curl line because of a friend. We used it but it still didnt look like right. When we finally went to see Alicia...I cant explain how much she taught us and how AMAZING my daughters hair looks and feels. She helped me identify the products in my routine that were not cgm approved and products that were wrong for my hair type.     Alicia is great. Very knowledgeable. She takes the time to teach you and show you proper techniques that are unique to your hair needs. Her salon is very clean. And she offers a variety of products that she uses for retail. I highly recommend her.

    Alicia did amazing!! I gave an example picture of the deva cut I wanted and even though my curl type was different she gave me exactly what I wanted! Its so freaking nice I love it. She cleaned each chair before and after I sat in it, was very timely and made sure she checked to see if I had questions throughout the whole service 1000/10 💜

    I got my curls cut by Alicia Torrens & it was the best decision for my hair. I went in telling her that I don’t like wearing my hair down to leaving with the most confidence in the world! She is very understanding & will work magic on your hair!

    Super knowledgeable about curls. I have biracial kids, and I took my 14 year old daughter for her 1st real curly cut and tutorial. Did a lot of research and came across Alicia. Took a chance and very glad I did.I pride myself on the fact that I really took care of my kids hair all these years and made sure to use the right products, etc. I knew something was missing and I was missing a step for their natural hair as their hair would dry out next day. Let me tell you.... Alicia immediately showed me the difference between oil/butters vs water based products and how they worked. I was amazed! It does kind of make you feel a bit defensive, but in no way was she rude at all. I had to accept the fact the fact that I just didnt know. She even had me video her while she was using the products so my daughter could do it herself at home. My daughters hair looked so well hydrated and nice afterwards and today it was so easy to manage and it still looks super hydrated! Plus side, she didnt have to rewet it this morning or add tons of conditioner to it. Just used a little refresher spray and voila!Im extremely thankful for her.

    Absolutely amazing! I was hesitant at first because of the price but it was definitely worth every penny. I learned so much about hair care do’s and don’ts. I loved the cut. She took her time and made sure to ask first exactly what I was hoping for. Even after me telling her, she would still ask again throughout about anything she was going to do. I felt comfortable, clean, and most importantly came out feeling happy and beautiful. I would highly recommend her. Her assistant was very knowledgeable as well and did a great job on my wash and dry.

    I moved to the FL area, and needed was in desperate need of a trim, but was to scared to just go to any Hairstylist due to bad experiences. I reasearched the web, and came across Alicia. The first time I went to get a trim with her, I was very happy with the result, so I continued seeing her and still am. She has magic hands, is very knowledgable, and is there to help you with any concerns that you have with your hair. I wll always go to her, while living in FL.

    I had my first cut with Alicia today. She was very knowledgable, and honestly the cut was worth the money for the time and attentiveness she spent going over proper techniques, products, and the cut itself. Fully recommend! This is one of the best cuts I’ve had.

    I actually cried when I looked in the mirror ... what else can I say? Tears of joy and relief that I finally found a hair stylist who not only embraced curly hair but actually had the expertise to specifically/uniquely inspire my curls--wake them up--bringing life to my hair crazy sounding?
