    Snowbirds and have been getting Erica to colour my hair for past 3 years. Also take visitors along. Erica is so friendly and it really feels like a fun day at the salon.     Just returned from Smart Style haircut and style with Erica Abana. I wasnew to the area and found Erica quite by accident. But I’ve been a loyal customer now for 3 years. She listens to what I want, she carries on a great conversation and I’m always happy with my hair when I walk out! Her hair washes alone are amazing !

    I was initially worried to come into a salon without doing much research as a woman with curly 3c hair (which translates to curly thick hair for those who are not familiar). However, I was pleasantly shocked by Candys professionalism and attention to my hair texture. I explained that although I wanted a blow out, I wanted to minimize hear damage to my hair for when I transition back to wearing it naturally. She understood and was very thorough when blowdrying my hair, making sure to apply heat protectant as needed and minimize the additional heat needed from a flat iron—she shared with me that she herself has a naturally coily hair texture, but tends to blow dry for convenience, it was nice knowing she had her own experience with textured hair when she was doing mine ! Overall I was very pleased with Candy ! She was also incredibly kind, attentive to detail, a great listener, and maintained a respectful conversation. Most run of the mill hairstylists would complain if they had to do hair like mine—but she is far from run of the mill ! If you want an experience in the salon that is nothing short of excellent, book with Candy !

    The stylist, Candelaria just gave me the cutest haircut.a Pixie haircut!! I have followed “Candy” from another salon to Smartstyle for a total of 13 yrs. She is the best!!!!     My stylist left the area just over a year ago and the replacement never seemed to listen to what I wanted. Id given up and was just letting it grow and putting it up with no style at all.     Pleasantly surprised!I know, I know, I know. Hairstyling place inside Walmart, not what I bargained for.And especially coming from New York.But I will say this. I walked out of there, not in tears, but pleasantly surprised.My hair was below shoulder length. Closed my eyes and took a chance on a never tried before, above chin length, blunt Bob, and not a tear was shed.Carmen was my hairstylist. And she was definitely what I call, a detailed person. She did such a great job, I gave her a 30% tip.As to why I went to Walmart to begin with, it goes like this. Other stylists in the area, just for a blow dry, they charge $40 and with all the tourists here, it’s hard to get an appointment.Carmen was the right person at the right time. Choice of going to Walmart, ugh, that’s a whole other story!Prices at SmartStyle varies depending on hair length and services. For my service, the price was $34 and that included the hair professionally blown-out. Here in Florida, cut is one price, then to have the hair blown out, another charge.For Carmen, appointment is recommended.

    I want to take the time to let ppl know something.Im not from USA,but I moved to Florida. I visited lots of salon on west coast,Miami,central Florida and up north. Honestly this was the only salon that really have people that knows how to do their jobs. Even with COVID going on they took all the precautions to provide the services. This salon its a piece of gold on service,quality and knowledge. My styler its Gabriel Carrion. He goes beyond his way, this guy knows about color,cut and style and really understand my hair since Iman island girl my curls are very stubborn.I thank all the staff,Erika (she helped me to make my appointment) and Gabriel for do such miracle with my gray hair!Thank you guys YOU ROCK!KEEP IT UP!

    I went I to get over a foot cut off. My hair turned out great! They layered it perfectly and the framing my face length is exactly the way i wanted.My husband also went in to get a trim and the did great on his too. He wanted it shortened around his ears so it wouldnt bug him, but the rest as long as possible because he is growing it out. They made it look good instead of choppy like some places.

    I always have Erica cut or trim my hair. She always is pleasant to talk to and does a great job! Whenever Wal-Mart customers ask me about SmartStyle I tell them to request her if she is working. If anyone wants to get their hair done there, go see Erica. The other stylists are very nice too, like Gabriel, but Ive never had him do my hair, but thats only because I have Erica! LOL He always seems to be styling or cutting someones hair, so my bet is he is great at what he does as well. Try them out, you wont be disappointed.

    Everyone has to go shopping! To be able to get your hair done at Smart Styles inside Walmart is great. Go in sign up and they usually can tell you how long it will be. If more then a few minutes you can browse or pick up your non perishables, park your wagon and get your hair done. Finish shopping with no waisted time.You also can go on line and make an appointment ahead of time. The ladies do a great job listening and doing your hair just you want.Try it I know you’ll like the convenience!
