    I went here after losing my Aveda stylist of years. Sadly the next stylist that did my hair fried it, requiring significant cutting of my hair. Jeanmarie went above and beyond! She had to correct prior damage of poorly applied highlights and a horrible cut. She artistically performed magic, and never seemed rushed. The outcome surpassed what I had expected. I am so happy to have found these wonderful people! Great energy as well.

    My first time at The Mix Salon won’t be my last. The entire staff seems to be outstanding. Today, Erin gave me the royal treatment with the best cut and color of my life. My husband just keeps saying wow!!! She changed my whole look from a tired teacher to spectacular summer! And that head massage she gave me when she washed my hair was unreal!! I just about fell asleep. Wow, what a great experience. Thank you Erin!

    Love ❤️ The Mix Hair Salon in Deland!What a gem! Jean Marie and Magda do my hair and they are simply amazing! Love my hair again! Love Aveda products! When lucky cat hair closed downtown I just never thought I would find a high-end very nice salon in Deland and finally I did and I’m never going to leave! I highly recommend!

    I’m so thankful that DeLand has an Aveda salon with such a talented staff. I moved here feeling anxious about finding someone to continue my color and hair care needs. What a gem I discovered! Kyrsten is my colorist/stylist and what a talent she is! Highly recommend The Mix and Kyrsten for their professionalism and expert care. The entire staff is always warm and inviting.

    Erin is the best hairstylist I have ever had! She knows what questions to ask so she can give you exactly what you want to fit your style and lifestyle. She also took the time to teach me how to style it myself! She is so skilled and so talented and takes so much pride in her work. She is a lot of fun and makes getting your hair done fun and relaxing experience! And the head massages are AMAZING!!!!

    I just got my hair colored, Highlighted and trimmed and a blowout by Kristin Miller and I am so happy and excited of my results! She is a very sweet girl and so talented. She takes her time and communicates with you through her process. I Highly recommend her. The Salon is also a very pleasant environment and you can tell all the workers and owners work as a Team. I am a licensed hairdresser and a former Salon owner myself (retired now ) ;) so I know what it takes toEstablish this . So if you’re looking for a new Salon and stylist . This is the place and Kristin is the stylist😊

    First time going here, and I had an incredible experience getting my haircut by Erin Lambie! Ive always been nervous of getting a haircut, as my hair is longer, and I am not sure what to always tell the haircut person. From the moment I walked into the salon, which was very clean and welcoming, Erin made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and even gave me some great suggestions on how to enhance the style I was looking for.Erin was very passionate about her trade. The result was a haircut that truly exceeded my expectations and left me feeling amazing and confident. I highly recommend Erin to anyone looking for a skilled and personable stylist - I will definitely be back!

    Ive been going to The Mix Salon for more than 10 years now. I love Aveda products. Jean-Marie does a fantastic job with my color and my cut. Shes always happy to change it up when I want something different. Everyone there is very friendly, its always a great experience going there. I highly recommend her and her salon.

    I am so so so so happy I decided to give this place a shot. It was easy to book and when I called the salon Sue answered like we were old friends! The place is gorgeous and clean which is a must for me! I had hairstylist Jamie and she worked wonders on my hair. I originally planned to go honey blonde but her recommendation to try copper color was a game changer! I absolutely am in love with my hair and I can’t wait to see how my hair journey progresses!     If you go here I recommen going to Erin she is such a sweetheart! I normally dont have the best experience getting my hair cut at salons some dont listen to what you want and end up cutting my hair horribly, however Erin really listened to what I wanted and even talked me through what she thinks would work better. my hair came out amazing because of her I cant thank her enough.

    Kyrsten was amazing! I was going in and chopping off a lot of hair and gave a general idea of what I wanted and one photo of what I did not want. She went above and beyond with her thoughtful approach to my hair! I have finally found a stylist that is not only highly skilled but also someone who took my individual hair and created the perfect new look!

    I love this place!!! Wendy greets you with a smile and a friendly conversation that makes you feel at home. Kyrsten is my ❤️. Love her and what she does with my hair. She is AMAZING at blending colors to look natural. Such a soft hand and gentle listening spirit. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. Rates are reasonable, and the service is outstanding. If you need a regular salon look no further than this hidden gem in downtown DeLand.

    I had been bleaching my hair at home and it had gotten very coarse and dry, like straw. I went to see Erin and she did my bleach and color to perfection while also turning my straw into silk!!!!

    I was a new client (never been to this location before) and let me tell you I was extremely impressed! My massage with Kathy took away 10 years of stress I was carrying in my neck and back (with a lot of issues stemming from it) and now I feel like a million bucks! The owner did my eyebrows and was very gentle in the process, I hardly felt a thing! My hairstylist, Tiffany was amazing, she did a wash/cut/style for me and gave me exactly what I was looking for! A+ service and staff is warm and friendly, I couldnt have asked for a better day! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    After 32 years of going to the same Salon in Ohio, I was understandably nervous about trying a new place after we moved. After my experience at The Mix, I know that this is where Ill be for another 30+ years! The staff were wonderful, and Jean-Marie was terrific. She matched my color perfectly and gave me a great haircut. She listened to my wishes (and fears) and couldnt have been better!

Magda, my stylist, is amazing and has been through all of my hair stages right along with me❤️. Randy the owner is fabulous and is dedicated to keeping his salon trendy, clean and organized .     This is a fantasic salon. I love how nice and welcoming everyone. Theyre always super happy to help and they want to make your experience great. My hairdresser is Jean Marie and she makes sure to cut my hair to the length I like (and helps maintain my curls). Its the best, to me. And I go all the time!

    A day at The Mix is always amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly, cheerful, and professional. I always go to Jean Marie for my haircuts, she is extremely talented and kind! My favorite part is definitely the complimentary warm lavender hand massage from their massage therapist. All of the products they use are Aveda and of the highest quality. I always leave The Mix feeling beautiful and relaxed! I definitely recommend this lovely Aveda salon for all of your beauty essentials. You wont be disappointed!

    I am very picky with my foil highlights and low lights. Not too chunky or streaky. Jen has been a miracle worker with my color. Even after I screwed up my hair during Covid19 quarantine with a horrible DIY touch up that turned orange, she knew just what to do and didnt even laugh LOL! Phone and front desk staff are always friendly and efficient. Thank you!
