I had the most wonderful loc installation service. After my consultation a few weeks ago I returned for the install. Sodjina reconfirmed exactly what I wanted, gave me a wonderful wash and then got to work! I have very dense hair and she made sure to part extremely neatly, she even used measuring tape to ensure each layer was precisely the same. I am recommending this salon to everyone I know and I can’t wait for my first retie appointment.

Mukisa Locs is a well run salon and everything from the initial consultation, to the booking, to the timely appointments were well executed.The salon is spacious, clean, and a good vibe with good entertainment to help pass the time of initial installations.Jennifer was professional but friendly and accommodating, and created a very relaxing environment.I am thrilled with the outcome of my microloc installation with extensions. The grid pattern is neat & precise, my hair is full and voluminous, and Jennifer and her assistant were dedicated to getting my hair done in the days we planned for.She gave great followup tips & guidelines and facilitates a seamless customer experience.I have no regrets choosing Mukisa locs to begin my loc journey and I am confident they will flourish under Jennifers diligent care.

It has now been a whole year since I have been going to Jennifer at MukisaLocs and I must say this was the best decision I’ve made. She is knowledgeable when it comes to microlocs caring for the health of the hair! I really appreciate that the most. She communicates well with her clients and the salons atmosphere is everything! It’s always a good time when I get my maintenance, if you are looking for quality loc maintenance, I would highly recommend Mukisa Locs!

Ive been following Jennifer on social media for years while living in California. After recently moving to Tampa, Florida, I immediately contacted her for a new set of loc extensions. Love, love, love my Havana twists! Theyre neat; theyre not tight yet still secure. Theyre just perfect. It has been a struggle trying to find a stylist that is both professional and knows what theyre doing, and I am beyond pleased to have found that and more with Jennifer. Finding Jennifer was nothing short of a miracle, not only is she an exceptional stylist shes a very special human being..so uplifting, kind, and caring.I had locs years ago and had to cut them. However, I knew once I got them again I needed someone exceptional to help me maintain them, exceptional is what I got in Jennifer.I was drawn to her knowledge and passion for healthy natural hair. However, her professionalism, passion, and the magic she works with my locs is what keeps me returning!If youre looking a great stylist, look no further! Let’s me tell you ladies/guys about my personal experience with MukisaLocs. After doing extensive research I purchased my extensions with MukisaLocs. I have thick hair and I’ve always been in love with thick locs. So I purchased medium size locs with MukisaLocs and booked my appointment. The wonderful stories you read about MukisaLocs are sooo true. I mean her level of professionalism and knowledge about loc to part ratio are impeccable. She and her husband are soo sweet. Mukisa is also very clean her salon booth is very neat and comfortable. She washes her hands every five minutes. I mean literally if she touches the remote control she is going to wash her hands before touching your crown again. She took very good care of my crown and the extensions. She takes her time with each individual locs. The results I have I fell in love with immediately. My hair looks amazing. Like when I say Non-detectable. I mean I don’t even know where the attachment starts. This investment I will never regret nor feel shame about (bc you know how some try to make you feel about extensions). This is my journey and I’m on cloud 9. I receive complaints about my locs all the time. I feel confident and secure and that is most important to me. This experience has truly been a blessing and I thank God I found Mukisa. She is the very best !

*UPDATE*- I had a new set of loc extensions done by Jennifer and they are gorgeous! I highly encourage you to order a sample if you are on the fence about ordering from Mukisa Locs. I wish I had done that my first time because I would have seen the difference in quality between hers and others. They are study but very soft. The way that they are made (truly handmade) makes them look very natural, not just in look but also in movement. I know this because I grew my own locs and had them for 15 years before cutting them. These are as close to home grown locs you are going to get.Jennifer also takes her time to get the installation correct. If your stylist is flying through your install, there might be an issue down the line. I have styled my hair in up-do, curls, buns, and twist-outs and havent had an issue at all. My locs dont have weird puffy looking roots or anything. I love everything about them and highly recommend Mukisa Locs for loc extensions, installation, maintenance and for her new haircare line._______________________________________________________________________I spent a whole year planning and researching loc extensions just to have my install botched by another stylist. I was in an SOS situation and in dire need of help when I booked a consult with Jennifer. She spent over an hour listening to my tear-riddled story with an incredible amount of empathy. I knew she would make everything better.Jennifer took the old loc extensions out with minimal loss of my natural hair. Her technique was painless and fast. Then she gently washed, conditioned and detangled my hair with no pain and again, hardly any hair loss. The icing on the cake was the reconstructive hair mask to help strengthen my hair after the trauma of the poorly done install. My hair was back to its normal self after all the TLC.Lastly, Jennifer applied a leave-in, sealed with oil and plaited my hair. I honestly never in my 45 yrs have I had such a fabulous experience with a stylist. Jennifer is truly gifted at what she does. Shes also the most professional. Its rare to find a stylist that responds to their messages in a timely manner but Jennifer does. Shes on time, doesnt BS, is upfront with her costs, doesnt change them at the last minute and is reliable.I will be giving loc extensions a try again soon but I will definitely make sure to have Jennifer make and install them. After what I went through, I dont trust anyone else to touch my head.Thank you so much Jennifer for fixing my hair and lifting my spirit. Youre the best!

I ordered loc extensions and the estimated order production was 8 weeks. I received them in 4 weeks! They came in a blue silk bag (inside of the shipping package). The locs are SO soft, smell amazing (I assume they used some type of oil on them) and overall they look great! Let me tell you...you will not regret ordering from this company. If I ever need anything else, I WILL order from them again!

As you know ladies and gents, the natural hair journey is no feat, and comes in many phases, failures, and triumphs.After a long and hard search, I found Mukisa Locs. WHAT A BLESSING.To be clear, I live in an area that is overwhelmed with hair care, natural, locs, bundles, braids, lace fronts etc. There is no shortage of hair help for sure. BUT, after numerous consultations, reviews, and research, my search landed me out of state.In my area, maybe a loctician had a nice style, but their aura was off. Or, the technique was flawless, but the communication splotchy. Or simply when meeting for a consultation I found that although knowledgeable, I would only be a numbered head in a beauty chair. My desire for myself was to have my hair (and my spirit) evolve, needing a true professional to assist. I mean, think about it. When you have someone in your hair - washing, twisting, binding, combining - even breathing and moving in your innermost space, you want to ensure their hands AND their soul are clean, right? As you can see, not picky, but I was looking for the one and I found it.Each interaction with Mukisa Locs has been nothing short of professional. From the virtual consultation, to emails with questions, and even in person for the appointment - THIS IS A FAMILY BUSINESS OF LIVE, PROFESSIONAL, AND LOVING INDIVIDUALS, AND IT SHOWS.Important to note, I drove over 20 hours out of state, booked an AirBNB, spent much on gas, and took time off of work for this appointment. Let me tell you - the appointment was completed in the time frame allotted with no crazy hidden cost or random last minute fees. The space was VERY clean abiding by COVID-19 standards with staff wearing masks. I was accommodated and made to feel comfortable. Staff were prepared for my arrival with tools and hair prepped. Plus, the conversation was quality, relevant, and SNATCHED !!! There are no small business horror stories here, only Gods truth. I got what I came for and left feeling like a beautiful queen with a head of professional, full loc extensions.I invested in myself for this next level of my hair journey, and Mukisa Locs delivered. All the other positive reviews ring true; I have experienced the Mukisa Loc Love firsthand. Do yourself a favor and book with them. Dont wait. Dont hesitate.
