I had the pleasure of meeting with the owner Deserea and her team. Walking into her salon I knew I was going to be pampered. I could tell she has style andshe has grace. Although Deserea was with a client, she was able to set me up with Micheal. He gave me exactly the style I was looking for.Desera has exceptional services, excellent pricing and super clean surroundings.I went in an ugly duckling and walked out a beautiful swan. I’m always apprehensive to get a haircut because I feel like my requests are ignored but he talked me through every step and made sure it was okay. I got a terrible haircut from a previous stylist in the first picture. Deserae was able to fix my hair and color my hair to get a beautiful blonde. Her products are absolutely worth it and make my hair feel strong and silky. I love going to her!

I recently went to this salon for the first time after finding it online. My appointment was with Vito, and he was perfectly on time. The salon was very cute and homey, and immediately welcoming. My hair was very long, and I just wanted a little length taken off and some layers. I am not very experienced with hair - I do not style it or anything. Vito was very kind, and wanted to make sure to get approval on everything he was doing before he did it, which I appreciated very much. After the cut, I did not get a blow dry, so my hair was still wet when I left, but I liked how it looked. However, upon getting home and my hair drying, I did not like how it looked. There was a pretty noticeable length discrepancy, and it looked choppy for lack of a better term. I wanted to get it fixed, but I felt bad going back and asking to have it fixed. So I just called the salon, and spoke to Vito, and told him what happened. He was COMPLETELY understanding and told me to absolutely come back so he can make it to my liking. When I walked back in, they were very welcoming once again. I never felt uncomfortable going back to have it fixed. We got to talking, and realized that since I do not style my hair, the layers would always look choppy. We determined that what I actually wanted was my hair cut at one length and then texturize it, so it is not completely straight at the bottom. Vito again took his time and walked me through everything he was doing. He checked with me several times throughout the second haircut, until we were finished and I was completely satisfied. Vito was completely competent and professional during both haircuts. He clearly takes his job seriously and cares about his clients. I will absolutely be back to this salon for my haircuts in the future, and now I know that layers are not what I want.

This place is just amazing! For the past 15 years I have ONLY seen Deserae. I have all of my trust in her when it comes to my hair. She takes the best care of it. Her welcoming soul makes you feel right at home. I truly love her and her work. I have gone from natural brown to extremely blonde for years, no damage, then to strawberry blonde and now back to dark brown. She is a true artist and my hair has always been so healthy thanks to her and her products. I will never see anyone else for my hair need for as long as I live!

I decided to write a review because of my continuous wonderful experience at The Powder Room. Before writing this review I read some of the other reviews. I was floored reading the pettiness of some of these reviews. If one has a bad experience, you dont keep returning. You should clearly be concerned about who does the horrible work on your over exaggerated unnatural lips. Another thought, if you think a business owner is asking for excellent reviews... that speaks volumes about you as a person.Enough about petty, mean and angry people. My experience has been unequivocally delightful. Desi is a breath of fresh air. Always kind and polite. The salon itself is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. Vito does my hair every time flawlessly. Hes a master colorist and stylist. His skills are perfection. When getting pampered at The Powder Room expect professionalism, kindness, pleasant conversation, soft music, a wonderful overall ambiance and experience!!!! The experience is NEVER rushed and you are NEVER ignored. Once you sit in the chair expect to be pampered!!!My heart goes out to those who cant escape their angry lives and enjoy this experience!!!

I had a full panic attack when my trusted stylist of ten years informed me she was retiring because that meant I would be on entire “mission” to find another who I could not only trust with my very long, thick locks, but also a colorist with a trendy style, knowledge, and competence. I found all of that and more at The Powder Room with the lovely owner Desiree who is not only super talented, but really listens and cares about what you want to achieve with your hair goals. I am super picky and meticulous when it comes to my hair and this is the first time in my life that I can actually say a stylist executed every area of my desired outcome for my hair! I am so happy and relieved that I found this place (which is super clean and has a relaxing, exhilarating vibe we all want when getting pampered). Highlights/haircut and little girls hair cut.Everything came out absolutely perfect and we had a lovely experience with Des, she’s a great hair stylist and person. Im pretty particular and my highlights are fabulous. The foil was taken out of my hair sooo softly before the shampoo and that never happens. My five year old wanted bangs and this isn’t the first time she wanted them, but it was the first time she let someone actually cut them. My little girl was extremely happy with her experience! Not only is the owner of the Salon Deserae very knowledgeable but she is also an artist. My hair color and cut and style is the best I ever had from any other Salon. I also felt very safe during the Covid Pandemic-the salon is extremely clean .I went into the salon Saturday October 21,2023 to get my hair Angled and Face Framed by Vito. He was AMAZING! My hair looks Beautiful and has Beautiful Movement now. The owner Deserae runs a Top Notch Salon with Top Notch stylists and I would highly recommend this Salon for all.

I got my hair done by Deserae and she did such an amazing job. My hair was so bleached and damaged but she completely transformed it to a healthy, natural color with gorgeous subtle highlights. She also did an Olaplex treatment and my hair is so strong and healthy again. The salon itself was such a nice environment. Deserae was so kind and friendly, and her salon smelled amazing. She is extremely knowledgable and skilled at what she does. She uses healthy, plant based products that are not harsh on your hair. She also played great music and made me an espresso coffee. I have been a client of Deserae Elizabeth for over 13 years. I first became a client of her’s when I was going to the renowned Yellow Strawberry at the old Fashion Mall in Plantation, FL. So naturally when she opened up her own salon I followed her to Deserae Elizabeth Hair Studio. I model for a living, so naturally I always have to look my best and would never let anyone but Deserae touch my hair. In fact, when I moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend college, I flew back every few months just to have her do my hair because no one has ever been able to do my color blonde like she can without using bleach or toner. The stylist I went to in AZ really damaged my hair and Deserae completely repaired it and it is thankfully healthy again. She has worked on many of my photoshoots and modeling events doing my hair and makeup as well as other models. I have referred so many of my friends and family throughout the last 13+ years including my mother. My mother doesn’t go to anyone else either. As my mother was getting older she was experiencing hair thinning and brittle, damaged hair and Deserae completely turned that around for her. I have never seen my mother so happy with a stylist in all my life. She always had something negative to say about her experience with other salons and stylists but after her first visit to DE Hair Studio, she had nothing but positive responses. In fact, she continues to travel from West Palm Beach to have her hair colored, cut and styled by Deserae. Whether it’s a deep conditioning treatment, highlights and lowlights, coloring my roots, putting in full extensions, a haircut, or any styling (curls, up do’s, blow out, etc.) using only the best products in the industry and being fully stocked with Kevin Murphy hair products, DE Hair Studio is always up for a challenge and far exceeds my expectations every single visit.

I had a 1pm appointment on 10/22/20 @1pm, referred to this place by a friend of mine. I usually go to barbershops for my haircuts, so I was a little hesitant to try out a new place. Nonetheless, I am beyond happy that I gave The Powder Room & Desarae (my hair stylist) a try. Customer service was superb! I was offered double expresso w/ pumpkin creamer & even some delicious hard candies from Cracker Barrel. I used to be a barber, so I dont just trust anyone to cut my hair. Desarae not only knows how to use clippers, but she is also a magician with the scissors for up top. I got a 2 on the sides, then faded into scissor work and texturing up top. Most barbers are only good with electric clippers, Desarae is expertly trained with clippers and scissors. Her resumé and technical knowledge is impressive. The building is new and pristine, the internal decor of the place is homey and welcoming (white & pink). After my haircut I was pampered with a rinse and shampoo massage which is something you will not get at a barbershop. Men, give her your business, she is positive & upbeat. Great conversations while I was there as well. 5 stars all the way. Only con was that the parking was a bit confusing given 1-way access, but that is no big deal, if you are a 1st timer just arrive to the appointment a tiny bit earlier to be on the safe side. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY A 35 YEAR OLD MALE.
