    Randy is awesome! Best barber experience in Gainesville. He accepted me as a walk in when I called 10 minutes prior and I had the best haircut I’ve had in a while. I explained to him how I wanted my haircut with specific instructions and he delivered. Other barbers in town usually miss details and I have to go home and fix or finish it. I love it my haircut here. I will be back as a regular customer and recommend this place to my friends.

    My first experience was generally good but they were packed (good sign!), 40 min to close - I called ahead to make sure it was ok. When I walked in I was vaguely greeted and no one mentioned I was supposed to write my name on the clipboard so I was the last to be called instead of second to last. Regardless, Kenneth was my barber and he did a great job, really great looking cut and he knew exactly what I wanted with barely having to ask. I’ll be back but make sure to have an appointment next time!

    If you look at the reviews, youll notice that Randy’s name is mentioned several times. But, none of them truly capture his excellence! Randy gave me an excellent haircut, precisely as I wanted it. He attentively listened, asked questions, and charged a reasonable price. Additionally, he was friendly, polite, and personable!

    Ive been going here for 2 years and its always been pretty good. Some of the barbers, like Ken, are really good. Others are not, so make appointments if you like one. Taylor was my favorite for 1.5 years, but she just left!

    I drive from Hawthorne to West Gainesville just to get a quality haircut. Well worth the dive! I left today with one of the best haircut that I have had this decade. Try them out, I suggest you call ahead for an appointment.

    As retired military I have and my son go to the shop for the last 6 years. Has always provided good service until 3 week ago the person next to Randys chair, from the get go at 1:10 pm do you have an appointment; I was looking for Gene I stated no and without hesitation we are close he could have been more courteous. Will not judge the shop for one bad apple but will not tolerate an outburst or disrespected by this person again or will find me a new place.

    I came in for a walk-in, and was seen within a few minutes. The hairstylist did a great job giving me a fade haircut. She was very efficient, the price was very fair at $18, and she kept checking in to make sure she was cutting it the way I wanted. Overall, great experience and Id definitely recommend this barbershop. Ive walked past it years, and finally decided to go in.

    I have been getting my hair cut at Randys for about a year now and so far I have never had a bad experience. Also, I dont normally schedule an appointment, which means that I have gotten my hair cut by just about every worker there, and they have all done a great job. What is even better is the fact that it is not expensive and you dont normally have to wait long because they have quite a few workers. I would highly recommend this barber shop to anyone in the area.

    Ive been going here for 7 years now. Never had a bad haircut. Great people, great haircut, and an unbeatable price. Ive had my hair cut by about every employee over the years and theyre all good. But shout out to Nathan. Nathan is my main guy and hes treated me like a customer and like a friend for years. The man has good conversation and gives a great cut. Randys has more than earned my recommendation.

    I have gotten my haircut here 4 times so far and haven’t been disappointed yet. I have never made an appointment yet I have also never had to wait. A different person has cut my hair each time and they all seem to be skilled in their craft.Edit: I removed a star because I got two more very terrible haircuts here from one of the people. I didnt catch her name, but was very disappointed.

    Went in for my first time at Randys and saw Bob with an appointment. He was very attentive and gave me exactly the cut I wanted! He really talked me through the cut which made the experience much easier.As for the actual place, the location had plenty of parking when I went at 2:30. It was very relaxed inside and all of the hairdressers seemed pleasant and relaxed. Also, they have a student discount! I will definitely return here!

    I needed a haircut on a Saturday morning. I went to several places that were either super busy or appt only. Alyssa was able to get me in at Randys immediately between her scheduled appointments. She was great and did a great job. Theres a giant, red $18 for haircuts on the window, so I was a little surprised when it was $25. I know some places charge more for fades or any haircut that has a name other that haircut, but I didnt see a list of prices anywhere. Maybe I missed it? Either way, she faded me up well and in short order. Ill prolly be back to see her.

    True professionals at this barbershop. All the barbers that Ive seen do great work, and are very personable. The price is amazing for a standard cut. $14 for a standard mens haircut is very hard to find these days, especially considering how good of a job they do. one small tip, they get very busy so I would suggest making an appointment before you go.

    Me being dissatisfied with my older barber led me to search for a new barber. I google searched and saw that Randys Barbershop had 20+ reviews. I was told that it was wise to make an appointment and was nervous that I wouldnt be able to get one before my trip out of town. I asked for 3:30 pm which was all booked so I decided 4 pm was fine. I was told that if I wanted to head over that would be fine, I might just have to wait a while. Without Google reviews I wouldnt have ever known they were that hidden gem Id been looking for. I walked in the door and was greeted by a gentleman, whom Im assuming might have been Randy. I found out they took cards which excited me since the three prior did not. I go to sit down and Im asked if I have an appointment. My appointment was for 4 and I was there at 3:10. I immediately was waited on by Isabella - the most gorgeous barber Id ever seen. I told her about my hair tendencies and gave her control of my haircut. All I have to say is she put me to sleep with her technique. Perfect haircut - I wont go anywhere else or let anyone else cut my hair. $12 cuts.Pros - Everything I could have hoped forNegs - Truly a 5 star experience

    I’ve been around the area and have tried at least one or two barbers at many shops here. I’ve never had someone hit the cut spot on like Nate did here. Kudos.Update: Just had a cut with Michael. Another clean clean job at this establishment. I’ll be making my way around the shop with the other employees, but it’ll be hard to get past Michael. The man is all business. Your conversations will be kept only within making your haircut vision come to life as he goes along which was very fine for me. Very skilled in his trade. I’ve always had barbers who hovers around your head as they cut, but this man cuts in third person flailing his arms around the tools he’s using with a sharp eye on exactly what he’s cutting. You can tell he’s very focused in his work when he get flustered with a phone call comes in interrupting the wave he was riding on with whatever he’s doing to your head. You can physically see him hop off the mental surf board through his eyes when he’s interrupted. Can’t wait who I get next.

    GREAT PLACE! Walked in around 11am on a Tuesday with my son and were taken back right away. My son can be difficult to cut however at Randys they had him chatting and laughing through the entire cut. When it was dads turn (my turn) they set my son up on another chair with a lollipop and my phone to watch a movie. Even when cutting my hair they still continued to talk and help keep him entertained..... AND IF THATS NOT ENOUGH, the haircuts were very sharp and well done. A++ quality. Great business with talented barbers. The search for a good barber is finally completed.

    This is hands down the best place for a man to get a haircut in Gainesville. Kenny will give you a fade like youve never seen. Everyone is super friendly and capable and the atmosphere is relaxed with the decor of a classic barbershop. 10/10 would recommend.

    I have only been here once out of desperation to get a haircut when everything else was closing or was closed. Let me tell you...I didnt know what to expect but I wound getting one of the best haircuts Ive had in a long time. The girl doing my hair took her time and was extremely attentive to all the little details. Will definitely visit again and yall should give them a try at least once and see for yourself.

    I have been getting my hair cut by Randy since 2002 and my sons (9 & 3) go to him too. Besides being great at cutting hair, he runs a clean shop. They take appointments and accept walk in customers, but his shop is always hopping, so I recommend an appointment.Basic haircuts cost $14, which is a recent increase from $12. He doesnt increase his price list frequently, in fact, I think this was the first increase in at least six years.

    Love Randys. Theyve got talented barber and Im always proud of my cut. But, when I was in their today I saw a female employee drop either a comb or clipper attachment right in front of me and then proceed to pick it up and, without even attempting to disinfect/clean it, started using it again on her client. Also, I was in the chair for ~30 minutes today and this same lady blew through 3 haircuts. I already think that my guy Pat does an extraordinary job in such a short time frame but I highly question the quality that is possible in about 10 minutes. Like I said, love Randys and will continue to go there, but I will damn sure not let that lady touch my head.

    Got my hair cut by Randy while living in Gainesville for one month. He did a fantastic fade, did not rush, and made good conversation. Great attention to detail and clearly takes pride in his work. The shop was clean and nice, very short wait time, and great price for the quality. If youre trying to find a new barber, look no further.

    Highly recommended!! I have been getting my haircuts from Randy for several years, even while he was at Kutters Millhopper before he had his own place. Now with two locations and a handful of great staff at each, he has built a no frills (but polished) and trustworthy business. Prices are reasonable (basic cut for men is $12) and the cut is always clean and detailed. Although I always ask for Randy, Ive seen the work of his other staff and can vouch for their quality as well. I will be a customer as long as they and I are around!

    Ive been in Gainesville for three years and have been to multiple different barbers in the area. Top Notch, Haile Village Spa & Salon, So Sharp. Ive Tried a lot of different barbers around the area for my Undercuts and my Pompadour haircuts. I can say they are fair on there prices and Michael Does a great Cut, Ive had my hair cut by one other barber in the shop and it was a good cut, however, I continue to schedule with Michael for a reason. The guy is fantastic Barber. This guy truly cares how your hair looks when you walk out the door. Has a great attitude, always on point with the styles, and just actually cares to know you. Great shop and I will continue to go to Randys as long as Mike stays around to cut my hair while I live here.

    I walked in around 1130 and left at 1200. Randy himself gave me a cut. There was a semi busy store with wonderful staff. I talked for a bit but was never pressured to have a conversation. You can make appointment or walk in. I gave a list of what was bothering me and Randy listened. He was amazing at answering my questions with a full answer not just the minimal.     After living in Gainesville for about 4 months, I struggled finding a barber that could do a simple fade without one problem or another. I visited Randys, and Michael does a fantastic job. He definitely puts the time and effort into each haircut to make sure you dont walk out with any uneven lines or straggling hairs (something that most other places in Gainesville couldnt seem to get right). I really appreciate the effort he puts into making sure that you walk out the door with the most precise cut. All the staff at the office is always friendly and courteous.

    Ive been to about every place a guy can get a haircut for under 20 bucks and this is the best place in Gainesville. I usually go to Sports Clips, but there isnt one in Gainesville so I had to find a local place. They did a great job. It was 12 dollars and they knew exactly what I was talking about when I told them what I wanted. The place is clean, the people are friendly, and they work quickly so you can get on with your day. If you are a guy and need a good haircut, this is your place.

    I absolutely recommend Dara if you want a great haircut, friendly conversation, and oh that relaxing warm lather shave of the neck is perfect! I look way better with a fresh haircut from Dara. She always remembers exactly how I like my hair and our conversation picks up right where it left off from my last visit. Dara has been my barber for many years and many more to come.So... if you like looking your best and you need a friendly, professional barber, call or go in and ask for Dara. She somehow manages to make even me look good!

    I’m a freshman at UF and I needed a place to get my haircut so I decided to check this place out. Overall great experience. Walked right in and got a hair cut. Overall atmosphere was clean and the lady who cut my hair, I believe her name was Dara did an excellent job. Will be going back

    These guys are the real deal. They were fast, courteous, and did a remarkable job. He even used a straight razor for the hair on my neck, NOT electric shears. A straight razor!!!! It blew my mind, to say the least. If you need a hair cut for a formal occasion like I did or just a regular cut done professionally, GO TO THESE GUYS. I go to school at UF and cant afford an expensive haircut so I normally either cut it myself or go to a franchised place. But for $12 This is wellllllllll worth it. Coming from a first time customer, I will absolutely come back. Seriously the best barber in Gainesville.
