HK salon is a great addition to downtown Hollywood. It has a beautiful chic interior design and a very chill and welcoming vibe. I’ve been going to Teresa a few years now and no longer trust anyone else with my color. I was traveling out of state and hadn’t seen her in a while, but came in with an idea of what I’d like for my color which was really grown out and she achieved EXACTLY what I had envisioned! She also gave me an amazing dry curly cut and is well versed in curly/textured hair. I highly recommend booking with her, you won’t be disappointed.

What a wonderful experience - Teresa is just an absolute star! Not only is she a beautiful person but she really knows hair, she gave me some great advice on what to do with my shedding issues and how to improve my hair quality. She also went above and beyond and did an eyebrow tint on me unprompted. Its rare to meet hairdressers like her who are that skilled but also humble and genuine. I am so happy to have found her. HK is a lovely salon as well, super Zen, super convenient for parking and well run. Highly recommended.

I came in today to see Rikki to help me with another stylist’s work that I had done last week. I came in asking for her professional opinion as I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the previous stylist’s work. Rikki gave me her evaluation and walked me through everything we needed to do to get it to the look I was hoping to attain.She gave me the price before hand which is nice. A lot of salons just surprise you at the end. Two hours of work and I was left with beautiful, blended hair. It felt and looked so much better than I came in.I felt very comfortable with Rikki and felt like she wasn’t just rushing through the appointment. It felt like she took all the right steps to get my hair looking great. Will be coming back to see her again. Highly recommend this salon.

I’ve gone to HK Salon a couple times to get color in preparation for my wedding and Teresa is a master with color! She’s done my hair perfectly each time be making it darker like I wanted but keeping the highlights I already had. Leading up to my wedding she checked the color a few weeks ago prior and then did a root touch up three days before. I couldn’t be happier! Everyone here is friendly and professional. They give incredible service and I would highly recommend especially if you want amazing color!

I cannot emphasize enough the AMAZING work Rikki, my hair stylist, has done with my hair. I am new to the area and took a chance on this new salon to color my hair. I feel so blessed to have had Rikki work on my hair! I have very thick, frizzy, curly hair that was bleached blonde for 10+ years. My hair is NOT easy to style or color whatsoever. Rikki revitalized my hair completely. She gave me a new color that I have been wanting to try, trim, and Keratin treatment. She has completely transformed my hair. Rikki is so talented I even drove from Hollywood to Miami Beach HK salon for follow up appointments with her if she had availability there on a day that worked best for me. My hair is visibly stronger, healthier, shinier, and even longer since going to her for the past few months. I STILL every week get a compliment on my hair by someone random at work or out. 100% recommend going to get your hair done by her you will not regret it.

Had a great experience with my new stylist Sylyse! He was highly recommended to me by my daughter-in-law. When I sat in his chair, he listened intently to me as to what I had envisioned but was never able to achieve through other stylists. He gave a few suggestions and we went from there. Needless to say, when I left there I couldn’t have been happier. Between the highlights, lowlights, gloss, and shaping my hair and blow-drying it, I was so pleased with everything. Sylyse is incredibly talented, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds with my hair and my new stylist.The salon was inviting and refreshing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I just recently moved to Hollywood from Miami and have been struggling to find a stylist. I decided to give HK Salon a shot, walked in and was greeted by a lovely woman at the front desk and was booked with an appt. with a stylist named Teresa. I am UBER bitchy about who cuts my hair and have always leaned towards gay men to do the job so I was hesitant. I gave her a brief run down of what I wanted and she took it from there. She took her time, understood the dynamics of what my hair does and pimped my wig. I have found my new solan and besty in Teresa Avins. Sylyse has been my hair stylist for the last 9 years. He is a color magician and helped me transition from a horrrrrible dark purple/black experience into a beautiful blonde baylayage over the course of a few years keeping my hair strong and healthy. I never once had any breakage. It looked so natural people actually thought I was a natural blonde! Even though I no longer live in the same state as him (and haven’t for the past 2 years sadly) I have coordinated trips with him when I visit my family to make sure he can still do my hair. He even helped me fix damage that happened when I unfortunately went to someone else and smoothly transitioned me back to a brunette (again without damage!). He’s truly the best stylist I’ve ever had and I’m SO glad I found him! He’s also just an amazing person and has texted me specific details to ask new stylists since it’s not always practical to fly back east every few months. I will fly to Florida for this man and I couldn’t be more jealous of anyone who gets to see him regularly. I’ve referred all my friends, cousins, sisters and even my mom to have him fix the color in their hair and give the most gorgeous cuts. I trust him completely to keep my hair healthy and make me feel like a queen each time I leave the salon. If you have a chance to work with him, you’re in the best hands ❤️

I have been going to the HK Salon in south beach for years! They finally brought another location to the Fort Lauderdale area and I had to get my hair done there to test it out! Once again, they never disappoint. Rikki retouched my color and Pablo cut my hair. I now have a perfectly round white bob that is healthy, fun and cute! They really knocked it out of the park! I know every time I go in there, their number one goal is to make sure my hair stays healthy and beautiful. They are super attentive and the new location is so cute! It feels a bit more spacious. Will be returning in 6ish weeks for a touch up!!!

Sylyse is a magician. Ive known him now for more than 20 years and have followed him from city to city (Philly to New York) because his talent with hair is only outdone by his heart. From color to cuts, he is perfection in execution because he has an artists eye and always knows the exact fix. Most recently he worked painstakingly to bring about hair regrowth for me after having two kids. My hair is healthy and shiny and Sylyse has the touch that made that happen. I would trust him with anything and there is no doubt that Ill be traveling to sunny Hollywood to get some more of his magic.

Sylyse is the only person Ive allowed to cut my hair in probably 15+ years. He keeps my bangs trim and laying perfectly, is extremely adept at adding texture and movement to my hair, and I always leave his chair feeling like my best self. I cant speak highly enough of the time and attention he gives duringe very single cut.

I have naturally curly fine hair. I wanted to bring back the bounce and get a shape up.I went in and saw Hini. He is definitely a curl expert!He talked me through his process and explained what he was doing and ensured me he wasnt taking off length (Im trying to grow my hair) but explained he did need to clean up the cobwebs to make my hair look fuller.I was shocked at the results, after having color and dead ends for admittedly far too long, if forgotten just how curlyband bouncy my hair was, needless to say he saved my hair, and brought back the bounce.Im in love with my curly hair and so happy to have it back and healthyTo all my curly girls, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!Will definitely be going back
