Took my 2 yo son here for the first time this week. Ms Liz did a great job making him feel comfortable. He loved sitting in the Spider-Man car, wearing the Spider-Man cape, and getting to watch his favorite super hero on tv. Ms Liz informed him before she did anything and let him touch the clippers to feel their vibration before she got started. His haircut turned out great! Though he looks too old 😭 He even got a balloon, a lollipop, and a few trips down the slide before we left. Overall, a great experience and we’ll be back!

We have been going here for a long time and just wanted to take moment to show some appreciation for Miss Liz who has made getting a haircut for our boy the most easy going process now! It used to be filled with screaming and big alligator tears. However, her calming demeanor and her way with kids has made this such a pleasant experience for us now. I can’t explain the chairs, the decor, the individual media, the play area, the products, their attitudes, their professionalism and skill with moving children and their focus on their duty as well as each child’s experience. It was a pleasure for my child and his very first hair cut as my I as it was a joy to watch ALL of the children come in and out and be so happy in times that are scary and unknown.Thank you so much!

This location earned a two star solely based off of the politeness of the stylist. My son had a haircut appointment scheduled for 11:45am. We arrived about 5 minutes early. We waited about 45 minutes before his haircut started. There was only ONE hairstylist working….. she was super busy and that definitely showed in the cleanliness. Very much NOT clean. My son is 3 years old and Autistic with extreme sensitivity around his ears so he definitely cry’s and moves a lot but eventually calms down. The stylist was patient, as patient as she could be but definitely rushed my sons haircut. I’ve been to another location where they took there time with my son and his haircut came out AMAZING. This time it was the complete opposite. If there wasn’t going to be time to provide the haircut I was paying for.. his appointment should have been cancelled. When I got home and was able to actually look at his hair, I wanted to literally cry by how butchered my baby’s hair is. His line up in the back is completely slanted and taken up inches further than where his hairline actually is. Nothing is leveled. I’m sure the stylist could have done a better job given different circumstances but this was a huge waste of my hard earned money and a really big disappointment. I could have done a better job myself.Update: 4/20. I was contacted shortly after the review and was offered to come back to fix my sons haircut. I just wanted to wait for his hair to grow back, so I was offered a complimentary cut. Which is why I went in today. Everything was perfect. Sheree did an amazing job and was super patient while my son had his meltdowns. Even with her taking her time, she was done super quick with amazing results. His haircut was exactly what I asked for. You could see the HUGE difference from his last haircut even though the same thing was asked for both times. We will back!

The reviews from previous parents made me a little nervous about taking my son here for his first haircut. I got lost and was unable to arrive until 10:45am for my appointment at 10:15am. The staff was amazing. Kristen made my sons first haircut such an enjoyable experience, that he acted as if this wasnt his first time having his hair cut.

Zaira is amazing! She has been cutting our grandson’s hair since he was a toddler, he is 12 now. He is on the autism spectrum and did not like haircuts. Zaria was particularly aware of his autism and has spent years developing a relation with him. He now ask for haircuts with Zaira. We love her!!!

This place was very friendly, they took us right away on a Saturday as a walk-in. The inside is very vibrant and kid friendly with a toddler slide and plenty of adult and kid magazines. There are TVs at each station playing various kids shows. There were different themed seats for each station like a plane, Princess car, Lighting McQueen or firetruck. The hairstylist Lorenzo did a fantastic job and was very meticulous.

We loved Cookie Cutters! My four year old needed her first haircut so I wanted to take her to a place for kids. Morgan did such a great job on her hair and was very sweet. My daughter picked her chair (a pink princess car) and even got to watch her favorite show on tv while she had her haircut. Morgan braided her hair at the end and gave her a spritz of glitter spray too. We got a certificate for a first haircut! Wonderful place and inexpensive!

Today I took my special needs 3 year old son to get his second haircut. We saw Liz and she was absolutely amazing. My son was freaking out and having a meltdown for most the experience and Liz stayed cool and calm and tried to console him all while still cutting his hair. She made a suggestion for an adorable cut and executed it well (despite my son losing his mind) and it looked so cute! We will be 100% booking an appt with Liz again.

I absolutely love this place. We have been taking my son here for a long time. He is also special needs and they are so great with him. We have never had any issues at all and have used different stylists each time! I highly recommend this place. If anyone has issues than maybe they should help out with their kids a little more like I do when I go maybe you wont! Ya know get off your phones and actually pay attention to what is going on around you!! This place is incredible as are the people who work here!!

Great customer service. I hadn’t been there in a few months, and took my son for a haircut last night. I didn’t have an appointment so I had to wait for about 2 hrs until there was an available spot. Everything was perfect.Stephanie did a great job with my son’s hair, took care of all details even when it was late and they were about to close.Also, I have no words to describe how sweet, professional and caring the girl in the front desk was. She worried about keeping the kids entertained and treated everybody in the nicest way all the time.Great staff members. 100% recommended!

We just moved into the area and needed to find a closer location to get our kids hair cut. This place did the perfect job of keeping it fun and exciting for kids! The staff was very friendly and patient with my kiddos who are not a fan of having their hair cut. Cute table with toys and a little slide to keep the kiddos entertained while waiting. I had THE best experience here today with my 2 year old son. He is a shy kid that startles often. We are from out of town and missed his regular haircut appointment at our home salon. He ordinarily sobs his way through his scissor haircuts and has to be held down in mommy’s lap.Our experience at Cookie cutters could not have been more different. Our son got his choice of fun vehicle seating, and the stylist was so kind to him as he took a while to choose between plane and race car. She asked what he liked to watch on tv and set it to his favorite show. She brought out the clippers and I was sure a tantrum would begin but she patiently explained what was going to happen to him and he let her get to work. She talked to him while she worked and kept his attention. After a while, he became a little fussy. Very calmly, the stylist gave him a lollipop and continued to work this time using scissors. At the end of his beautiful haircut she presented him with a balloon. One of his most favorite things in the world. The entire experience was just magical. I’m so sad we don’t live here because we would be here regularly. Cookie cutters made a usually very stressful errand a super fun experience!!

The wait was less than 5 minutes and he played with the balloons and playset/slide in the entrance. He could pick his own seat and even got a complimentary balloon on a stick when done. Thank you ❤️Unreliable, I was ready to finally get my son his first hair cut and prepared myself to get his long beautiful curls cut, and was looking forward to getting the babys first haircut package. I came right at 10 for my set appointment, 1 gal was working. My 2 year old was getting very fussy and antsy, come to find out the lady who the appointment was with wasnt going to come until 11. Very annoying stressful expirence for nothing. The one gal working was too busy to cut my sons hair. So we left.

Theres only two words that can describe Ms Kristen, SUPER WOMAN! : ) She did an outstanding job! She was quick but very careful, perceptive, mindful, and just an all around lady. Haircut turned out absolutely adorable! They were able to reschedule me for the same day at a later time with no problem. It was so affordable! Everyone was nice and they’re so patient with kids! My daughter’s stylist spoke Spanish, which was a plus since I’m bilingual. The entire salon was clean and full of stuff to keep kids happy during their haircut. Definitely coming back!

The staff were extremely friendly, and our son had a great time playing before his haircut. He was excited to pick his chair, and I love that they let him choose a cartoon to watch during the cut to distract him. He also loved the balloon and lollipop reward after. Overall, it was an awesome experience, and well worth the 40min drive from our house. I’m so excited a branch is being opened closer to us, because I will definitely be taking my son back for his next cut!

I love how my boys were able to choose their “car” for their haircut, and there was educational television on for them to watch. They had an indoor little play area with a slide that my kids were really excited about. The hair dresser who cut my youngest’s hair was also very patient with the fact that he has to constantly look around, and moves his head a lot. She was still able to give him a great cut, and both of my kids got balloons and suckers at the end, which is great incentive for them to try to stay still for the haircut. The salon itself was also very clean as well, which also made me feel very comfortable. Everyone I encountered during the experience was very friendly and professional, and patient with the children who were in their chairs, which will definitely make me want to return! Thank you for such a great experience!

They are amazing! I took my 1 year old son there for his first haircut. Jessica did an amazing job! She was super patient and very kind towards my baby. They even played m sons favorite songs!!! The haircut looked amazing and I love the fact that they give you a picture and save some baby hair for the parents to keep. The chairs are also super fun! My son sat on a blue airplane chair and he loved it! If you have children this place is definitely highly recommended!

I haven’t been able to get my son hair cut in months, he has autism and is sensitive to haircuts, however they had tons of things to keep him busy and was able to cut his hair I was greatly satisfied! Although my appointment was at 1pm, I called at 12:59pm because my gps had me going the wrong way and stated that I was going to be 1 or 2 mins behind, the lady on the phone then told me to hold so she can check if they can still get my son in which made no sense, so she then said it was ok, I get in the shop there aren’t any kids there and wasn’t there the whole time we were there! But the hair cutting part was great I just didn’t appreciate that phone part..

A friend told me about this place and how great of a deal she got for her son‘s first haircut and what came with their package! I scheduled an appointment the next day for my sons first hair cut! They were punctual, took us on time the place was very clean the staff was very friendly. My son unfortunately wasn’t in the best of moods and screamed the entire time, we felt horrible but the staff was so nice to us and sweet to him eventually after the haircutting part he was super happy that he got to ride in the race car and get a balloon! They were able to snap a really cute picture of him smiling and print off a certificate for a first haircut along with the lock of his hair (first curl)! I can’t rave about this place enough for the value and what you get I will recommend to all my friends and use for future always!

I brought my twin boys here and they absolutely loved this place! Fun, friendly, inviting environment, and the stylist who cut my kids hair was both very skilled and very good with them. One of my sons is very sensitive and she worked well to accommodate his needs rather than upset him like many other haircutters have done to him in the past. The staff is also very nice and work well together... Will definitely be back!

This was my sons very first hair cut and I can say I was second guessing before even walking in, but as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms and made comfortable right away, the cars at the station were so cute and helpful to make my son comfortable, I was also informed on the ways to go about cutting his curly hair the right way, everything was done to my liking, my son was happy the whole time and we left with smiles. The patience our stylist Terri had for us was amazing. I will definitely be going back for his next hair cut 😁

Excellent place to take your kids for a haircut. I brought my daughter here who usually puts up a fuss when she gets her haircut, but she loved the fun environment and the stylist was so wonderful with her. She also got to watch her favorite show while she got her haircut, which really put her at ease, and she was given a lollipop and her favorite color balloon (pink) to tie it all off! Very nice staff. I learned that this is a family run business, too. When my son is a few months older I will surely be bringing him here for his babys first haircut!!

Took my son in for a long overdue haircut. He’s got sensory issues and is mostly non verbal in social settings so haircuts are difficult since strangers are touching his head. Kristen was quick, kind, and efficient and kept him calm and distracted as much as possible. He looks amazing and we will be back.

Best place in Jacksonville! My son’s first haircut was at Disney and I didn’t think anyone could one up them. Well to my surprise Cookie Cutters did a fantastic job on my 2 year old son. He was very entertained. Laughing with the stylist and everything. His haircuts looks exactly how I wanted and he walked out with a lollipop in one hand and a balloon in the other!!! Super fun. My fiance and I expected him to freak out but even during the part where she used the clippers he was calm and still. We will definitely be bringing him back. Wonderful place for a first haircut and they are open Saturday and Sunday!! My son rode in the airplane and loved every minute of it. Ree did a fantastic job she is an amazing stylist and has the perfect demeanor for kids. She checked with me several times to insure his hair was just right, I wanted to keep it babyish but not in his eyes. She was so patient to wait for the right moment to get any little hairs and made us all feel welcome. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Also with a first haircut package you get a super cute certificate printed with your baby’s picture and a lock of hair on it!

We took my son for his very 1st haircut, I was so nervous he would scream the place down, but Cookie Cutters is so perfect for kids! My son was so distracted by all the cool cars and all the bright colors, they put his favorite show on the TV right in front of him and he hardly noticed he was getting a hair cut, his hair stylist was awesome and really made us feel comfortable... Not to mention Cookie Cutters does the cutest 1st haircut package that includes a certificate, pic of the 1st haircut and lock of hair. Very affordable and such a fun experience! I brought my little boy here for another haircut. Aura did a wonderful job as she did when we first came in February 2020. I’m always pleased with the service and cleanliness of the salon. My children love picking a special vehicle to sit in while they have their hair cut. I personally don’t appreciate the TVs in front of each station because we just aren’t a TV family, but I can certainly understand how it would bring a temporary distraction for a nervous or antsy child. My children love getting a special balloon at the end of our visit. No tears for us! This is truly a wonderful place to take your child for a speedy and exceptional haircut!

Took my almost 2 year old son for his first haircut today! We had Jessica and let me start off by saying this place is great!! Love the atmosphere for kids and keeps them interested!! I LOvE that they had the little TVs at each booth and the cars as seats!! My son sat in the little blue plane and loved it!! I would highly recommend Jessica!!! She made sure we were completely happy and had the haircut we wanted!! She went above and beyond to make sure his first haircut was enjoyable for him and us as first time parents!! I took my (now) 2 year old for her first and second hair cuts here. It is a great atmosphere designed to keep kids entertained. There is an indoor jungle gym for the kids to play on while they wait on their appointment. Each of the stations are armed with a plastic car for the child to sit in. The stylists are FAST, which makes things go more smoothly. My childs hair was trimmed up and the stylist gave her a unicorn braid with glitter hairspray. My daughter was thrilled and so proud. Easy $20 to spend.

The whole staff is amazing. Even during the pandemic the service was top notch. The owner and stylists are so nice. Zaira did my daughters hair cut. She was patient and kind to my wiggle worm and the cut was perfectly even,which was not an easy task I promise! She styled my daughters hair too with a finishing spritz of glitter hair spray to go with her unicorn braid. The other stylist, I didnt catch his name, he tried to give my girl a balloon and she just wanted the stick it was on. She told him it was a magic wand. 🤣 ♥️The owner was such a nice guy. He offered a certificate, complete with a photo and lock of hair! It was our first haircut so I got the keepsake and it will be a wonderful memory to frame. Had an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this place. My 5 year old is extremely scared of hair cuts due to a bad experience (lady cut my sons ear) he had at a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COMPANY several years ago. So we have not been able to get him a hair cut for almost 2 years. I honestly have tried every place I could think of and came across this place. Connie was our hair stylist and did exceptionally with my son. She spoke to him where he could understand everything that was going on, made him feel safe and make it fun! The hair cut, for the first time in 2 years was a complete success. He went from screaming at top of his lungs and fighting to just sitting still during the whole process. Connie really made a huge difference in this whole experience for my son. I cannot thank her enough for making him feel safe again. Love this place!!!! As long as we are in Jax this is the only place I’ll take my son for his cuts with Connie. Thank you for such a phenomenal experience!

I believe the stylist name is Liliana she was kind and very patient with my boy. The young girls at the front desk are nice to parents and kids too. I did not like the manager she was rude and had an attitude approaching me asking if I had checked in at the front desk as this was a last minute haircut. If I am told I can be serviced I will sit in the chair not worry about checking in again that makes no sense, regardless of what system they use to check in clients you should never be rude to a customer. I will never bring my kids back here there are plenty of places we can go. I understand people have bad days but cmon you should never treat customers with such Attitude. It was clear the manager didn’t care much for the additional expensive haircut service they were about to get oh well their loss. I hope she doesn’t treat her workers with such arrogance and disrespect. Liliana was such a nice lady and gave my kid his best first haircut.

I came to get my son’s second haircut yesterday. I bought the first haircut package the first time and received a printed and digital (sent to email) certificate at the end. They took his picture after the cut to put on the printed and digital certificate which I thought was a nice keepsake for his first time. Yesterday, the second cut went great as well. Jessica did a fabulous job hearing what I wanted for his cut and cut it exactly how I wanted it. She gave my son a balloon and toys to play with and put on a show for him as well. He also got to pick his favorite vehicle to sit in for the cut. Jessica was personable and made the experience great. I will go back to her every time! I also enjoy the little play area in the front of the salon which my son loved too.

Took my children to go get haircuts for Easter. Staff was all very welcoming and friendly. We speak Spanish so we’re super delighted to know they spoke Spanish too. We’re very attentive to mine and the kids request. All three of them got different styles of hair cuts. And my daughter even got a French braid with hair color, which you can buy. We purchased hair color spray for all of them. Very attentive to make sure it didn’t get on their clothes. Definitely my go to haircut place. Each station has a TV, offered balloons and lollipops- everyone was happy. Especially mommy- thank you for creating an environment that reduced the “drama” of getting a haircut.

I just want to say that we had the best experience at this salon. My four-year-old daughter loved it. Aside from my daughter loving it, I also saw something that made my heart very happy. While we were there, a child with autism was getting his haircut. The ladies at the salon were so patient and understanding and it was very nice to see. I teach children with autism at a school in Jacksonville and it was heartwarming to see how everyone interacted and how the ladies were so loving and understanding.

My husband took my son here, and when he came home I was initially not so impressed—BUT, given the circumstances they did an excellent job. My son hates haircuts, and the last time we did it one of us had to hold him down while the other cut and it looked horrible. According to my husband, my son screamed and cried and ultimately had to be held down by his dad while the cut his hair. The stylist, Daniel, was kind and non-judgmental. The hair cut is decently even, and will grow out nicely. We are very happy.

Make an appointment before you go! We came from Savannah to get my daughters hair cut and didnt realize we needed an appointment. We ended up waiting a while, at least 30 or 45 minutes. With that being said, the ladies who washed and cut my daughters hair were wonderful. Very sweet and did a great job on my daughters hair. We will use them again but make sure we have an appointment next time.

Fiona has cut my son’s hair twice and I have loved it both times! She is great with a busy toddler and even had him stand for part of his haircut. Both times he was unsure at first, but Fiona was able to make him feel comfortable and entertain him, while giving him a great hair cut. We will not go anywhere else 😁 The place is also clean and looks inviting to children and parents.

Sure, its a little more expensive to get the kids hair cut here, but they are on top of it!! Short wait, excellent service, etc. During the haircut, my son was given a lollipop and they put on PJ Masks. He barely even noticed he was getting his hair cut. They give a balloon when theyre done too, so that was great incentive for my son to sit still and let them work so he could have his balloon. Very cute environment!

My kids got good haircuts and liked the place, the stylist was very good with my difficult daughter. Kept her happy and smiling. Environment is very cute! But really only good for tiny kids, nothing to appeal for school aged kids, but I think it was meant for the little ones anyway.

Always a great experience. We came back for my 3 year old “back to school” haircut. My one year old was able to join him and play in the kids area and sit in a car next to him to enjoy! Fun experience for all! The stylist was excellent as well :)

Wonderful place for your children to get their hair cut. My son loves going there. They get to sit in cute chairs that are cars to drive. Watch a show if you want. Then when leaving they get a balloon and lollipop. My son actually looks forward to his haircut now.We had Wonda and she was wonderful. Precise, kind and quick. My husband said it’s the best haircut our son has ever gotten. He’s 4 years old.

Cookie Cutters has been so great with both of my kids! I love the chairs that he kids can enjoy while getting their cut and the TVs to keep them entertained. The stylists are super friends and patient, too. Even when my son is having a total meltdown, they try to calm him down and still get the job done. Love it here!
