    I believe the right people come at the right time. I have used the same “hair professional” for twenty years. I felt I was ready for a change. Sometimes that isn’t easy, especially when it comes to our hair. My first experience with Nathaniel for my consultation I knew I was in the right place. No one has ever asked me about my hair routine and he made me understand more about my hair and how to take care of it. At my first hair appointment I fell in love with my hair all over again! 😆 So glad I took a chance with someone new and am looking forward to seeing my hair change over the next year.

    Nathaniel is the king of extensions!!! I went in without knowledge of upkeep, and the importance of it. He did a great job moving my extensions up, and then taught me proper maintenance for the health of my hair and longevity of the extensions. He is able to make your hair look AMAZING and make it healthier at the same time. Its clear that hes worked in the business for a long time and has a wealth of knowledge regarding all things hair! I cant recommend him enough.The salon was clean and sophisticated. The overall experience at LaFera Salon is exceptional.

    I had my hair done by Nathaniel and I’m in love with my hair again.Not just he trimmed the way I wanted, he also taught me how to grow it faster, healthier, and how to style it, basically a mini class! I received an amazing and relaxing scalp massage and I felt in heaven!     I’ve been looking for a stylist who knows how to deal with my thick, wavy, colored hair without it looking brassy or fried and I’ve finally found him! Nathaniel not only did an amazing highlighting job but was able to educate me on how to maintain my hair with the right products. He took time to hear what I do and what I use on my hair and then taught me on what hasn’t been good and what has been good. He also knows what looks good on you and what is actually realistic versus saying this is what I want and leaving disappointed. I think if nothing else every one needs to book just one appointment with him for the learning aspect alone that’s purely based on your unique hair.

    After moving to the area from a larger city. I was extremely nervous about finding someone who could do my hair and unique red color. Nathaniel was recommended by the salon I used to go to. He is awesome! I feel so fortunate to have found him. I had tried several different salons in the area that didn’t work out. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented.     I am highly impressed! Nathaniel saved my haircut! Unfortunately, I went to Ulta beauty and trusted someone there and they literally messed my hair up so bad. I had a shelf on the front right side of my hair!😵‍💫 I’m not sure how he managed to blend it so well, but he did! He also helped me with how to take care of my hair so I can continue to grow a full head of hair. Great products, great service, great vibe,and great place. He also makes a couple of his own products I have not tried the clarifying shampoo yet, but the leave in conditioner is amazing and I have an oily scalp so it’s very difficult for me to find products that I can actually use on my hair that work.

    I just recently started going to LaFera, and would definitely recommend to anyone. I have very curly hair, and got a bad color job at a different place, and Nathaniel was great at fixing the color and giving me a wonderful haircut!     Nathaniel has taught me more about my hair than all my other stylists combined. He knows hair very well and doesn’t just do it, he also wants his customers to learn how to best take care of their hair as well. I was impressed with how he colored, cut, and styled my hair, and I can be difficult to please. I know he specializes in blondes and extensions, but I’m a redhead by choice with thin hair, and he does an amazing job with my hair, too!

    Nathaniel was in my family’s destiny and I am so glad I pursued! From our first haphazard phone call to this morning service, I sat with him and was taught so much about my hair, that after 27yrs no one has mentioned. I am grateful for his flexibility and insight.     Nathaniel took time to get to know me and my hair. Which I have never had in an extension specialist before. He was able to place them so they blended and will work for my crazy lifestyle. I am not the ideal person for hair extensions being in the ocean surfing all the time, but instead of letting me trash my hair he taught me how to save it. Which will save me so much money and help my hair become healthy. I’m so grateful to have found Nathaniel!

    What an amazing experience it was to meet and be educated by Nathaniel! I have never had anyone teach me that taking care of my hair is just as important as taking care of my skin.     This was my first time going to LaFera Salon and Extension Bar. This by far has been the best hair stylist I have been to. Prior to booking the appointment he took the time to speak with me over the phone to discuss my current hair situation and my goal. He asked me to send him pictures to see what my hair looked like before going in. He is very realistic and doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear. With that being said he did my hair better than what I imagined or wanted. He gives you good education on how to take care of your blonde hair and how to make it last. He is very very good. Highly recommended girls!!

    When I came to this salon I had major issues with extensions. Nathaniel has done wonders with my hair over the last 6 months. It’s healthier and my extensions look fantastic.     La Fera Salon represents the peak of professionalism. The interior is clean, welcoming, and vibrant, and I’ve always left feeling 10 x better than when I arrived.     I have been a customer of these stylist for at least 10 years. Their new salon is beautiful and I had my first visit there yesterday. My safety and the safety of others were their first concern. They spend time evaluating my wishes and my hair needs. They are very professional and really keep up-to- date on the newest styles, methods, products and hair trends. I traveled 300 miles to visit this salon yesterday . So I really love them! I made an appointment for next month.

    Nathaniel is an expert with extensions, color and damaged hair. Ive had extensions on and off for years and have been to good salons in Europe and the US, but noone has ever known as much as he does about extensions. He takes the time to give you info and instructions. If I would have found him sooner, I would not have damaged hair now. He is by far the best in the area for extensions and color as well as for saving very damaged hair.

    I’m so glad I found this salon and Nathaniel! He takes his time to talk about what you want and what steps you need to get there, he cares about the health of your hair and won’t do something that it can’t handle and he really seems to have a passion for what he does. I always walk out of there 110% satisfied. He’s also just a great guy and it’s nice to spend a few hours chit chatting with him while he does my hair. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

    I am getting married in just over a week. Nathaniel brightened up my blonde, cleaned up my cut and we did some beautiful extensions! I couldn’t be happier with my hair!     Will not find a better vibe in the hair industry than at LaFERA Salon and Extension Bar. As a growing photographer I looked at who was making moves in the market and came across Nathaniel Mark LaFERA on the gram and saw the work he was doing freelance.So I reached out cause I knew my partner in crime was having trouble finding someone to listen and show her how to care for her hair. She didn’t just want a stylist she wanted to learn how to get her hair healthy!When she went the first time Nathaniel knew right away that years of bleaching and highlighting her hair had taken a toll. He began the process of taking the hair back to a natural color before rebuilding the process.Most hair stylists have their own agenda and don’t listen and often my wife would be frustrated getting rushed out of a salon with a bad hair do just so the salon could get to the next client . Not here! The salon takes care of their clients and listens, helps, and provides that personal service that having your hair done should be.We are both very happy every time we leave the salon. Not only does she look great but we are always learning something! The salon is amazing having converted the place from its previous owners. The character is there and the family has put a beautiful touch on the decor!So in Jacksonville if you want to get yourself hair feeling great and looking healthy get in to LaFERA Salon and Extension bar!You won’t be disappointed.So good my sequel is now a client as well!!!!!

    Nathanial cut colored and styled my hair for me on Friday and it looks better than it has in years.
