I’m so grateful that Ashley took her time with my hair and gave me exactly what I asked for! She not only listened to my concerns but also educated me about my hair’s health and how to care for it moving forward. My goal was to keep as much of my length as possible while getting rid of all the damaged ends from leftover bleach and heat styling. I honestly thought I’d have to cut off way more, but Ashley worked her magic and salvaged my hair—I’m beyond happy because I’m focused on growing it out!

Can’t say enough good about this place! The hairstylists are experts; a number of them actually travel around the country teaching others, which tells you how good they are.The whole vibe is super positive and welcoming from the moment you check in to when you leave. My experience at Sass started at the front desk, which was staffed by friendly and helpful peeps. I walked in and asked for the possibility of an appointment and the staff made it happen for me. My experience with Megan as a stylist was top-notch. She was friendly, professional, and when above and beyond to understand, my current concerns with my hair I left feeling as if a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders And felt like a new person. She did a fabulous job with my haircut. I have very straight hair and the cut was perfect. I will be a standing customer now

Marcello is a master! He works miracles with his color technique and hair extensions. He truly is a magician. I went to him with a botched color job and to have great lengths extensions removed and the hand tied wefts put in. He performed a total transformation. I am so happy and have received so many compliments. He is so passionate about what he does and it definitely shows through in his work. He also is very funny and energetic and it was actually fun to sit there and talk to him. I give him 20 stars and cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Marcello!

I needed a last-minute haircut and had heard great things about SASS. I booked online for the same day, and they accommodated me for both a haircut and brow wax. All I can say is wow! Madison worked wonders on my long, thick hair. She was knowledgeable and kind, transforming my scraggly mess into a healthy and beautiful head of hair! I also saw Tessa for my brow wax, and it was the most relaxing and comfortable waxing experience Ive ever had. I couldn’t be more thankful and I can’t wait to come back!

She was wonderful to communicate with in preparation for the class, and so hands on in helping every stylist that walks into her salon feel at home. And feel encouraged about joining an opportunity for growth in their careers.Ive been an educator for 7 years, and have traveled all over the country to teach. From start to finish, this education experience was a 10! The salon space is stunning and perfectly set up to effortlessly host education. I met Justine back in 2012 when I decided my hair was getting a little long and it needed to be cleaned up. Fast forward 12 years and Justine has been the only person to cut my hair since. Justine is so patient and always brings a good attitude, also she does a dang good job. Ive maintained several haircuts over the 12 years and Justine has done great every time. If I ever feel like the haircut really wasnt what I wanted, she will work with me to get what I want. Thanks Justine for the decade plus of excellence service!

For a long time, my wife has been searching for a hair stylist. She discovered Marcello on TikTok and was immediately impressed. She admired how Marcello interacted with his clients, listening to their ideas and sharing his own. Our son, who is slightly autistic, struggles with self-care, especially when it comes to his hair. My wife often has to assist him. Marcello devised a way to maintain our sons desired long hair while also giving him a manageable haircut that my wife could easily maintain. He even took the time to teach my wife how to style it when necessary. Gabriel couldnt stop raving about his haircut and the nice smell of his hair on the way home. Both my wife and eldest son plan to return to Marcello for future appointments. Our search for a skilled stylist has come to an end... thank you, Marcello!Note.... I forgot my wallet at home, and instead of having me drive all the way back home, they let me call my eldest who was at home to get the information. Great customer service, not everyone would do that. Much appreciated.

GO SEE MARCELLO! Everywhere I go I get compliments on my hair and tell them to go see him. Never had a stylist as good as him. My hair has never looked better and he is so great with helping lead you when youre not sure the direction you want. He does not miss! I’ve been going to Marcello for years for my color and extensions. He is amazing and so knowledgeable!Since getting my hand tied extensions with him my natural hair has actually become healthier and has grown longer than it ever would before. I can’t imagine going to anyone else now and never want to get rid of my extensions. He makes maintenance so easy and he always does such a great job that I am able to wear my hair however I want even with 7+ weeks of grow out in-between my appointments.The salon is also so clean has a great atmosphere!

I have been going to Marcello for three years and he continues to amaze me with his expertise and technique. He is the absolute best at color. Marcello always takes the time to talk about what Im wanting to achieve with the service and explains the process and products hes using along the way. I love how he always considers my hair type, my ability to style, and comfort level with maintenance when he does my color- but is still able to achieve the look I want. My hair is always feels so much healthier and looks incredible- the exact mix of brightness and blend I like- and it grows out so beautifully. I love the vibe of SASS too. Its sophisticated and upscale, but still manages to be comfortable, warm, and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend Marcello and SASS and am looking forward to my next appointment there!

Every appointment at SASS has been better than the last. I have found a home for all of my hair beautification needs here. The atmosphere is very very warm thanks to the lovely girl at the front, Mariclaire, and my experiences with each and every stylist I have seen has been super positive. The one thing that’s different about this Salon and others that I’ve been to in the past is that I feel comfortable seeing different people when someone’s not available when I need them, or maybe they’re on vacation, and nobody has a problem with it. There’s no tension and no awkwardness about seeing multiple people. The owner, Sophia knows how to nurture these young stylists and make them into Rockstars because that’s what she is!! That lady can cut some hair!! She can do it all actually! I see myself going to SASS for as long as they’ll have me.

I am 66 and have very fine straight hair. It was just above my collar when I went to see Amonda, whom I’d never seen before. She was delightful and took a lot of time to understand what I do and I don’t do in terms of styling (no products whatsoever). I explained I just always let my hair air dry, unless I’m going out. After our initial conversation, she suggested a pixie cut, and I just trusted her judgement. She was very meticulous in the cutting and using the razor to make it “piecy” and yet blend. Somehow she pulled it off! I love my new cut, and even better, she didn’t try to convince me to use or buy any products to make it look salon-perfect on my own. She heard what I said during our initial consultation, and I appreciate that consideration.

I rarely treat myself, but today I decided to get a facial. And let me tell you it was one of the best facials I’ve ever had. Not only was Tessa professional, and knowledgeable, but has the hands of a wizard. The massage I received by her was some of the best I’ve ever gotten. I had knots in my neck I could feel, and when she was done I felt like a million bucks! And the bonus was right when I left I started having people immediately comment on my glowing skin!! I am blown away every time I come here!!! I travel in from out of town (6+ hours) to get my hair done by Sophia and it is ALWAYS worth the drive. My hair feels amazing after a fresh hair cut and the specialty shampoo and conditioners they use. The color is phenomenal and rivals what you would find in a big city. I have NEVER been disappointed and have recommended SASS to anyone that will listen. The staff is incredible and so friendly, and the space is always up-kept and clean. I had an amazing esthetician in Atlanta and had been afraid to go anywhere in Jacksonville until I met Tessa. She has the most amazing skin, so I knew I could trust her with mine. I had the Sea C Spa facial and a lash tint. Once I got into her room I was transported to a world of relaxation! She did a series of masques and serums and checked in often to make sure I was comfortable. Everything was so relaxing, but also provided amazing results. My lashes look thick and dark and my skin is glowing! I struggle the most with oily skin and congestion and somehow she was able to make my pores look nonexistent. My skin is so smooth and refreshed. She is so kind and has a wonderful soothing energy. I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for an amazing, relaxing experience with real results.

If I could, I would write a novel about how truly amazing Madison Gavin is! But alas, we don’t have time for that. Before Madison, I had never known what quality hair care/treatment/products meant. She took my poor lost soul and absolutely transformed me. All stylist take a bare minimum class to get their license, but only a passionate, talented, and genuine stylist goes beyond that. Madison is constantly increasing her knowledge and skill set in cutting techniques, coloring techniques, and the different types of products out there and what hair types would benefit from them best. She doesn’t settle for less. Can you imagine going to your hair appointment with no cut/color in mind and just letting your stylist help navigate your decision? Most people couldn’t but I’m here to tell you that is how much my type A personality trusted Madison. She was honest about how certain cuts would look with my incredibly thick hair and how colors would turn out with my naturally dark hair as well as what up-keep would entail. She always perfected my look and NEVER made me feel like she was rushed/busy/overwhelmed in the 5 years she did my hair. In addition to this, she recommended products that I will never stop using (yay organic!) and was always able to answer my questions about them. She was great about educating me on how to use the products too because we all know stylists make hair care seem so simple! There’s a reason we struggle to make our hair look like it did the day we left the salon 😜. When Madison moved to Florida it took me almost 2 years to find someone I felt could match her skill set. And bonus! She’s funny and a great conversationalist! You won’t feel awkward or uncomfortable in her chair. To the people of Jacksonville, I am sincerely jealous of you. You don’t know the stylist gold that has fallen into your lap (unfortunately for me)! Check her instagram if you don’t believe me. Run, don’t walk, and establish with Madison so you never have to fight for an appointment for a haircut! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Wonderful experience and truly appreciated Sophias experience and knowledge. Her recommendations on how to manage my greying, over 60 hair was spot-on. I have been searching for someone who can treat older womens hair so that the result is genuine and makes sense. I arrived with very grey hair (mostly salt with little pepper). I had a treatment a while back that made some of my hair a very dull brown against the grey. Sophia kicked up the dark and allowed the perfect amount of grey to shine through.The balance I had been looking for! And the cut was perfect. I had gone in with an idea and she was very honest about how the texture of my hair might not manage that particular cut - made a recommendation and she was right.I will also mention that I had a lot of laughs. Sophia has a wit about her that makes it a joy to spend time in a chair for a few hours. The rest of the staff also are highly professional but fun and very talented. Would recommend to anyone searching for a fresh start but particularly for women who are older looking for an honest look that is age appropriate but does not age the face!

I am new to Jacksonville and was nervous to get my hair done and try a new place but I am so glad I found Samantha and SASS!!! I mentioned over the phone what I wanted (I had a blonde balayage and highlights months ago and wanted a touch up and more blending) and they suggested I come in for a consultation with Samantha. I came in so she could see my hair before hand and suggest what she would do and I told her what I wanted. I immediately felt comfortable in the salon and everyone was so nice! 2 weeks later I came back for my appointment and Samantha worked her magic, told her time and honestly it came out better than I expected and I’m so in love with my hair!!! It’s blended to perfection so it does not look streaky and brightens me up just how I pictured it without any harsh lines like I’ve had in the past. Tessa is a miracle worker. And I don’t just say that because I work with her. I had had two facials before meeting her and thought “why would anyone pay for this” they were painful and I broke out afterwards and never learned a thing about my skin or how to care for it. But after seeing Tessa for the first time I immediately saw the value. My favorite facial is the SEA C SPA FACIAL. I was getting compliments on my skin immediately afterwards and I was so relaxed I actually fell asleep. Tess has magic hands and the massage she gives is the greatest. She also has a super calm energy about her that just puts you at ease. She also knows her stuff. After using the GM Collin regimen she recommended and doing 1 facial a month, I no longer have to wear a full face of makeup to feel beautiful. I just put on my eyebrows and little bit of lipstick. But enough about me. The proof is in the pudding I think. With Sophia, its a curly girls journey to loving your hair.It has been six months and I have now started having my brows tinted by Tessa the esthetician at the salon. Tessa does a great job and explains the process and helps you with the confusing journey of beautiful eyebrows. Tessa also does not try to sell products or push additional sessions. I have started on their line of face products and I think this is due to being able to ask questions in a relaxing atmosphere and Tessas knowledge.I am considered a mature women and have been turned off by the youtubers promoting facial products for women over 50. I feel like they are more about their clicks and $$$ then actually trying to help.I am definitely enjoying the Collins products. I am trying the exfoliating powder and oil cleanser. I have been using Ashlee for eyelash extensions and Brazilian waxes for 4 years. I found her on Instagram by chance and sent her a message explaining my terrible experience somewhere else - she took me immediately, fixed me up and I never left her. She is an amazing lash artist!!!! The best in the business!!!! My Fills always last 3 weeks and I am always getting compliments. Seriously - Ashlee is amazing!!!! Justine at SASS is absolutely amazing!!! She’s done a Brazilian blow out for me multiple times and I can’t say enough great things about how amazing and frizz free my hair stayed! I also just recently had a wedding and she did a blow out for me! I got so many compliments on my hair at the event and wish I could have her do my blowouts every morning before work. Dont wait any longer. Make an appointment with Rachel. Now. Ill wait.....If youre a blonde, you know how absolutely difficult it is to find someone who can get the perfect tone and brightness. Rachel is a literal master of her craft. I was a client of hers when she was in Georgia and Im devastated she no longer works her magic on me. She knew exactly what I wanted ALWAYS. Not only is she top tier in coloring, but shes amazing at extensions too. I now live in IL and shes in FL. I have been to a couple different stylists here to try to achieve the same result Rachel gave me but no one can do it. Rachel was so sweet to even give me my formula so my stylist could use it but she still could not achieve what Rachel could. So, Im now mostly brunette with way less volume. Rachel is an artist. But also so much more than that!!! When you spend hours in someones chair, you really get to know them. Shes a true gem and has so much drive! She was constantly attending classes to obtain more knowledge and always pushing herself to the next level. I would recommend Rachel to absolutely anyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t say enough great things about Sophia and her salon! I was in town for my sister’s wedding so came in to get a blowout for the rehearsal. I also got a treatment that was well worth it - made my hair feel great and hold the style/reduce frizz. Sophia is so knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate. Super clean salon with a great vibe. She listens to what you want and she is honest. What makes Sophia stand out more than anyone I have seen before is that not only does she make you feel completely comfortable in her chair but she is an artist with hair. She is personable, genuine, dry-humored, fun and uber-talented. Sorry I get all wrapped up in the personality stuff but I cant help it. She is the best behind the chair by a long shot.
