    I have had the great pleasure of not only working with Courtney, but also having her as my stylist for several years. Courtney is an exceptionally talented stylist and is an absolutely wonderful person and friend to have. Anyone that sits in her chair can expect to be treated with nothing short of exceptional service and will leave with a true glow. Courtney takes her craft very seriously and is the perfect person to see whether your hair is long, short, straight, curly, thick, thin, she knows how to work with your hair and she listens to exactly what you want. Ask her about keratin smoothing and its benefits, for a beautiful, low maintenance and high impact color and for haircuts of any length. And dont miss out on her blow dry, because its legendary. Talk to Courtney about books, ask her about the best places to go line dancing and ask about her ADORABLE dog. You cant miss the opportunity to sit in her chair, promise.

    Krys was my hairstylist and she did an amazing job. I had a pretty tight schedule but she managed to work with me anyway thankfully. My hair looked so vibrant and felt so soft. If you ever come here, please book with her because she cares so much and takes time to make sure you’re happy when you leave the studio :D I got so many compliments on my hair thanks to her

    Courtney was my stylist and did just an outstanding job. I had a very icy highlight and she brought my curls into a warm Carmel Honey summer look. She walked me through every step and truly took care of my hair and even listened to my own styling preferences.

    Such a wonderful experience! I’ve had a hard time finding the right salon/stylist since moving to Jax, and I’m so happy to have found Beauty Junkie. I saw Angela & she is a lovely human and did an amazing job on my hair. The salon was clean and the other stylists also seemed very friendly. It was a great experience.

    I had my first experience at Beauty Junkie since my hairdresser moved there recently, and it was great. I have mobility issues and it was extremely easy to navigate in the salon, very very clean, beautifully decorated, and felt like an early morning escape while I got something I really needed done. (A wash/cut/style) They also have no surprises pricing which was I felt very refreshing. Everything about it is very low pressure and easy going and as per usual, Taylor Grey hit the mark with my multiple issues hair, and then I was on my way. Already booked and ready for March. You won’t be sorry if you book with them.

    I cannot recommend Taylor enough! From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome and completely at ease. She truly listened to every detail I shared about what I wanted and took the time to ensure she understood my vision.     Taylor was amazing and so sweet, she is so fun to talk to. This salon was perfectly cleaned and nice and let me mention beautiful inside. It was very laid back, no hustle and bustle just straight me time. I love the payment process they have, you will always know what you are paying so there is no hidden fees and tips.     Great experience for a first time haircut for my five year old. Thanks Susan!!I also see Susan and I have fine wavy hair. Shes so good at curly cuts and I really enjoy spending time with her too.I’ve also seen Krys recently and she did a great job coloring my hair and gave me a trim too. She is super nice and knowledgeable. She trimmed my waves till they sat just right.Susan makes perfume and has them for sale there, along with good hair products, and other cool things.Check them out , it’s a great place all around.

    Kenzie Gwaltney did my hair and I’m obsessed!!! I had a vision for the color in my head, and she put that exact look ON my head!! The color is GORGEOUS!! It’s exactly what I envisioned. And I was struggling with the decision of if I should cut my hair short or leave it longer. She talked through it with me and I couldn’t be happier with the decision to leave it longer!!! Top of their game here!

Krys went over what I wanted one last time before starting, and then checked with me throughout and took in my input during the process while also making sure I understood what she was doing and why.     I’ve been to a lot a salons and hairstylists (often uncomfortable experiences) and this place is by far my favorite! I’ve had a cut/style from Lea and color/cut from Sylvie, both services were amazing! These stylists are truly passionate and kind and it very much shows in the way they work. The atmosphere is welcoming and the team is so encouraging. Will be recommending this place as often as I can.

    Susan is extremely talented and I absolutely love my hair again. I woke up this morning and my hair looked as good as it did yesterday after Susan styled my hair.     Julia at Beauty Junky is the absolute best! I have followed her for years, from Orange Park, to the beaches and now San Marco. If your hair is in need of help with cut or color- go see her. I have thin, fine hair and she never makes me feel like she has little to work with. She listens, and is super open to exploring change at your pace. I used to wear a wig but don’t anymore as she’s given me confidence back in my hair. She is soothing and has a wonderful kind heart!!

    Susan at Beauty Junkie was highly recommended by a neighbor I trust. The first time she did my hair I walked out thinking Oh no! She cut too much off. But as the weeks and months went by, my hair grew out beautifully. I like wash and wear and Susan created that for me in a lasting style. No when I see her I just let her do whatever she wants.     I am so happy to have found Beauty Junkie and Kenzie! She totally transformed my hair. I walked in with a hot mess of hair and walked out feeling like a new person! She was so sweet and personable and talented. I also very much like the way the salon has its fees structured by paying flat fees for the time it takes instead of an ala cart menu that can really add up and leave you with sticker shock at the end.I cannot wait to book my next appointment and get into some fun colors!!!

    Susan is an expert artist at her craft & all around good human! I wanted something that few others (and none in JAX) have ever been able to give me- effortless hair that fits my lifestyle.Having spent time behind the chair as a stylist myself, I knew that what I wanted would take experience and skill. She broke all the “hairdressing rules” in the perfect way cutting my wet curls with a razor; but the truth is, I stalked her work for a good year before I booked an appointment, so I knew I could trust her. I’m so glad that I did! She gave me exactly what I wanted & even threw in bonus undercutting that frames my face beautifully when it’s pulled back.     Kaitlyn was excellent with myself, my mother and my sister. She made us look and feel fabulous and at ease. We all have curly/wavy hair. She took her time working with our curls and listened to what we wanted. My mother uses a rollator and was able to move around the shop comfortably. Excellent music and interesting clientele. Bravo!

    I go to Kaitlyn and every time i go to her i come out not only understanding how my hair works, and the best ways to keep up with it in the most affordable way possible but also just feeling so beautiful! she does an amazing job, and i cant wait to go back to her! From vivid colors, to hair cuts?? she literally does the perfect job! She asks me questions about what i expect, and helps me out if my hair cant achieve it. Shell explain how it works, and what process my hair will need to go through if i want to change it! I recommend her to everyone i know, and anytime someone compliments my hair i always tell them about how amazing Kaitlyn did! im always so happy leaving the salon afterwards and i just cant wait to go back! Even if its a small trim, she makes me feel so welcomed and i really appreciate everything she does for me! shes literally amazing, and I recommend not only her, but the whole salon in general!

    Julia is a talented sweetheart. I was looking for someone who isnt intimidated by thick, long, curly, and coarse hair, and I found my girl!     Corrie at Beauty Junkie just did another fabulous color and cut for me and a precision cut for my other half. Ive been a client for over a dozen years, brought him one time, and now she has two more people who won’t let anyone else touch their hair. It took me over a year of trying other stylists when I first got here before I landed in her chair and emerged feeling great about my new, modern look. If I ask her to color or cut, she gets it and does it exactly. But more often than not, I just sit back and let her do her magic. I’ve watched other Beauty Junkie stylists with their clients too. Everyone goes away smiling because the salon is staffed with talented professionals. If Corrie ever decided to hang up her scissors, Lee would be the first person I would ask for an appointment as he’s got a sweet, easy-going nature and always aims to please. This place has that relaxed atmosphere that all salons should. That’s why we go. You not only look your best when you head out that door. You feel your best too. We’re definitely addicted to Beauty Junkie!

    Susan has been doing my hair for years and there is no one I trust more. She listens to her clients and keeps detailed notes so if you are like myself, and dont like to stray too much from a usual hair style, you know she will make you look beautiful from one appointment to the next. But if you are the type that likes to get adventurous you could not find anyone better to work with. I have seen some of the most amazing hair color come out of her salon. I get constant compliments on my hair, cut and color, as well.Her new salon is a fantastic extension of who she is as well. It is fun and eclectic, warm and inviting. Just like Susan.

    Susan has been my stylist for over 18 years and I cannot imagine placing my hair in anyone elses hands. She has an excellent eye for what will suit the need of each person, is honest about the expectation versus the reality, and will give pointers of how to maintain the style created just for you. She does what she loves and it shows through the experience created in her studio. Every product she uses for aftercare is sold there and she is always willing to help with recommendations of what you need or even may like. In addition, her studio is more than just hair. There is a perfume bar and several events she does to provide her clients with any beauty need or want they may desire. She also sells art! Susan is a true artist and will make sure you are comfortable from the moment you walk in. There is never a feeling of rush as you are her priority. Appointments are easy as they can be scheduled and changed online, and reminders are sent well in advance via email and text. Susan has taught me how to embrace my thick, curly hair and work with it. I have recommended many times and every person who has gone has been overjoyed with their results. I hope for another 18 years with her.

    I am so thrilled to find Jayme at Beauty Junkies on Edgewood (Murray Hill). He worked his magic today and tamed my very out of control hair.     I am new to the area but after reading reviews I decided to give Jayme a try. My experience today was wonderful. The shop was very clean. Masks were worn and everyone was super friendly. Jayme listened and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for. My hair is colored with hi lights and lowlights and glossing. His color was exceptional with a great cut. I will remain a loyal customer and tell everyone that Jayme is my hair guru!

    I have been with Jayme for almost 10 years. He is the absolute best at what he does. I have VERY color resistant white hair and Jayme manages to make my hair a beautiful color each month I see him. He works with me and listens to me and is very honest about what will and wont work. I know he has my best interest at heart. I always get compliments on my hair and people never can never believe its colored and not natural. I just simply can not say enough wonderful things about Jayme!!!!!!!! Here is to another 10 years!

    I have been taking both my sons to see Lee for several years. My oldest now 17, is on the autism spectrum. He has a some sensory issues, doesnt like the feel of hair on him as it gets cut. Lee is so cognitive of this issue for Jake. He always takes the time to brush him off as he cuts his hair. Lee knows right away if something is bothering him and will ask him so they can get to a good place with the haircut process. Lee will happily talk about video games and Brittany Spears (two of Jakes favorite topics!) to keep him engaged and distracted while he cuts his hair. Because of the extra time Lee takes with him, the hair cuts have proven to be a pleasant experience. As a parent this is the best feeling ever! Thank you Lee!!
