    My daughter had a beautiful experience at this salon. She is very tender headed and cried at the start of her appointment. So, I asked the salon owner to be gentle with her. Long story short, when I picked her up she was all smiles. They were easy on her head. She loves the style, I love the style, and all of this in under 5 hours. ⭐️

    Highly recommended.If I could give more than 5 stars I would.I went to this braiding salon last week for the second time and as the first time i was totally satisfied. The braiders was friendlyI had a hard time choosing the proper color for my extension but the braiders were very patient and helped me find the right color that fits with my skin tone.I was done in less than 5 hours for boho knotless waist length.I will be back for sureBest braiding place in Jacksonville.I had my hair done this week and its looks absolutely gorgeous. I bring my own hair but unfortunately was not enough and they offer me the extra curly hair for free.Braiders are lovely specially Miss Cherie.Thanks for the good serviceI will be back for sure.Absolutely recommended

    A hidden gem! My original appointment with a different stylists was canceled & after years of going to private stylists, I decided to try an African braiding salon again. So glad I did! I called & Cheri immediately answered, gave me a time, price, and confirmed my appointment. I arrived and waiting a while, which I’m okay with, but would prepare for if you’re in a hurry. And is totally normal for walk-ins. The service was quick with about 3 stylists at a time. Cheri went out of her way to make me comfortable and the tv was entertaining. I will be coming here regularly! My knotless braids are perfect.

    Do NOT get your braids done here. I drive 2 1/2 hours to get my hair horribly done at this place.When i initially called for a quote for small BOHO knotless braids i was quoted $250 by Cheri but when i got in the salon she told me it would be $400. I told her i was not paying that because thats not what i was quoted. I also had an appointment at 10am and Cheri did not start on my hair till about 10:30. She did a little bit of my hair then 3 other girls helped but it was a DISASTER! My parts are very small in the front and very large in the back. The parts are VERY CROOKED in the back. One side was very full and the other side was very thin. It took a total of 11 hours to do the hairstyle that came out horrible. BOHO pieces have been falling out everyday PLUS they are NOT knotless. They definitely all have knots. The actual braids are also very big for the size boxes that they made in the front. I would NEVER come back here again. And i would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.UPDATE: my hair was redone to my satisfaction and walked out a happy customer. Parts are all straight this time & i have no complaints.

    Absolutely amazing!!! I got small knotless boho braids , almost to my waist.. first of all my hair looks amazing. Like I can’t believe how beautiful my hairs looks and two. My hair was started at 9:30 and I was about the door before 1:30pm. I don’t think I have ever had my hair done so fast. Good environment. Felt very comfortable and Cheri was able to make me look so good. I will be back. She will now be my go to braider!!!

    Very professional service!!! Ms. Cherie is the best I have beeen coming here for many years and I am never dissatisfied. Prices are affordable and her work speaks for its self!!! When I set an appointment she is always on time, everyone in her shop does very good hair and the customer service is exceptional!!! One of the best African shops in Jacksonville I will recommend her or any of her stylist to anyone!!!! Her shop is also always open for walk ins for last minute people like myself and they hardly ever turn down anyone who has a walk in!!     Pros:I was in a Jam, and Cheri and her staff came through. Long story short, I only needed my crown redone. The lady who usually braids my hair had no availability for the time that I needed. Desperate and On a whim I walked into Cheris shop. I explained to her what I wanted and she told me that they would be able to take me, and they did. My crown looks wonderful. They did great work! I will be returning for more work. Especially since they took me as a day of walk in. I would from now on book an appointment.Cons:The only con that I have is that while I was getting my hair braided a meeting was called for all the stylist. Which left myself and 2 other clients waiting in the chair for the meeting to end. I wished they would have waited until the clients were gone to have their meeting. It wasnt a long meeting, but I just feel like they should have had that after we left. Overall though I did have a good experience.

    This is probably the best place to get your hair braided in Jacksonville Florida. I am avid customer and come every 1month and a half to get my hair touched up or braided. The staff are very professional and nice. The customer service has been fantastic from day one. I have read the preceding reviews below and most of them are not true. The truth is that Cheri African hair braiding has competitors that are trying to destroy her business so they hire people to post these nasty comments about the business so that potential customers will hesitate to come get their hair braided but Turgenev is that MAJORITY OF THESE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE LIES!!! Ive been a long time customer of cheris and I am not speaking from a biased perspective because I focus on their performance and how they treat their customers almost every month but they dont realize it. I can testify that Cheris is the best place to get your hair braided because I visited the other hair braiding salons in jacksonville and truthfully, Cheris by far the best in terms of customer service,the quality of work done, and the amount of money charged.I always love my hair and I get compliments on it almost 10 times a week. PLEASE, dont hesitate to go get your hair braided at Cheris African Hair braiding!Ignore these negative reviews because they are not true and rather very skewed. I can testify that 98% of Cheris customers love their hair and so will you. So go get your hair braided at Cheris today! Trust me, you will not regret it!

    This young lady has been my hair for over 15 years and I highly recommend her shop to everyone that ask me where I get my hair done. She has my kids their friends and families hair for many years. When every I refer new clients there is no hasation to schedule an hair appointment. If you need early morning mid day or night appointment I will my bottom dollars that Cheri and staff will make it happen. If you dont believe me try them for yourselves. I love these ladies any hair you can think of can be done.Just ask anyone you see with nice braidsthst are the same size with same length am sure Cheri or staff has braided their hair.     When I met up with my girlfriend yesterday, let me tell you that her hair was a straight mess. I can’t blame her though, her job has been pushing her like crazy and it has been a moment since she got it done. I knew it and I definitely know she knew it too. However what caught me off guard was when I saw her today. She had a new style that I have never seen on her before and she pulled it off well. She was looking so fine and she seemed so happy that I took her out to dinner tonight. All I have to say is thanks for hooking my girl up.

    Let me start by saying that I really loved the way Nadia did my hair .Cheri the owner was not in and Marie refused to do my granddaughter hair, I know if Cheri was there that wouldnt have ever happened..Nadia made up for everything that seemed to go wrong as the day went on..I only can day that Marie will reep what she sows..I wouldnt give her my money ever if she was the last braider on earth.. Im not going to let one bag apple spoil the great experience I have every time I go to Cheri..I just hope Marie does not cause get to lose her shop..She is rude nasty and doesnt care...I still love my hair ..     Today I got plats in my hair these plats are so neat and last for along time in my opinion cheris hair hair braiding is an amazing hair salon place.The person and people who did my hair were amazing and respectful to there costomers.These Africans are only respectful but there are caring I know this because they polite and ask if youre okay and many other politful things like that.Cheri and her co-workers are never rude they treat others how they wanted to be treated.These Africans also have television unlike other hair places this hair place only shows appropiete TV shows on TV.These Africans are exspically caring towards all children and are never mean or physical towards anyones children in opinoin cheris hair brading is the best hair braiding place in the whole wide world.I thank cheris hair brading because they were able to be there for my little sisters to be able to get there hair done.I recommend to every out there to get hair done from her,because every customer comes out with an smile.
