    The hairdresser miss My was incredible. She discussed exactly what she was doing throughout the haircut so I liked the outcome. She was very informative about what to do with my hair for upkeep and I did not feel rushed at all. The entire staff was very welcoming offering drinks while I waited for the appointment and the music gave it also a good barbershop vibe. Everything in the shop was clean and I will be going back.

    I normally go to the Riverside location but I recently was in Southside and wanted to check out this location. Mike did an outstanding job cutting my hair and I will definitely be coming back to see him!House of Shaves is the only place I get my haircut anymore. Their cuts are always consistent, thorough, and high quality. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever found one stray hair uncut since Iā€™ve started coming to them.

    Hollywood did an awesome job on my kids hair, best cut hes had in a while. He has thick hair with medium curls, we often end up with it too short up too or too long on the sides, so we either wait longer than we should to let it grow in, or are needing a haircut too soon afterward. He got a really nice tapered fade with enough length to keep the curls up top; I would definitely request this barber in the future!

    Amazing first experience. 1st with a small explianation of the type of hairs syle i wanted he changed my appearance from hobo to CEO in 40 min. Light hearted and respectful i may never get golden girls song out of my head. I also brought my daughter with me and he attended to her needs for snacks and drinks like she was going to tip him big.     I would describe my experience at House of Shaves (southside) as top tier. Or as the kids call it now a days A-1. Jesse was professional, patient, and skilled with his instruments so much that it made me feel like my hair was in good hands.I walked in looking like I had been surviving in the woods for three years, and I walked out looking like someone who drives a fancy sports car (i dont.) The stylist, letā€™s call him The Michelangelo of Hair, greeted me with the confidence of a person who knows their way around both scissors and life. He took one look at my overgrown, shapeless mop and said, ā€œNo worries bro, i got you.ā€There was the time I left a salon looking like an electrocuted poodle, and another time when I ended up with a bowl cut so precise that monks asked me where I got it. But this time? This time was different.Snip. Snip. Snip. Hair rained down like confetti at a rigged football teams championship parade. I couldnā€™t see what was happening, but the concentration on the stylistā€™s face told me he was performing something akin to surgery.When it was all said and done. He whiped out his mirror and spun me around like a ballerina at the theatre! I looked professional but fun. Structured but relaxed. Like someone who gets invited to rooftop parties but also knows how to change a tire.My confidence skyrocketed. I even did my taxes early.Final verdict? 100/10. Life-changing.     Hollywood is an excellent barber. My son went from locs to a high top fade. My son loves his haircut and he has a boost in confidence. He canā€™t stop checking himself out in the mirror.     Was my first time here after some negative experiences with other barbers. The person giving me my cut, My, was super welcoming, open, and she made sure I wasnt bored at all my entire time there. I finally got a haircut that immediately looked really good without having to wait for it to grow out, which is good because I have prom within a week.     Price is right and Zach did a really good hair cut. My barber is in NY and I would fly back to get a haircut every time I needed one because I had a bad experience getting a haircut in Jacksonville.
