    I first learned about Naija’s braids about 2 years ago and have been going there ever since! She’s a professional and she knows what she’s doing. She can do any style and works with whatever type of hair you have. I first had an undercut hair do and she was able to braid what I have and now it’s all long and filled in. In my opinion the best hair braider in Jacksonville!!!

    This was my first time getting my hair braided in Jacksonville and i decided to come here bc of the great reviews even though my friends tried to send me somewhere else! So glad I came!     I went and got some knottless braid done on 12/13/2024. My appointment was at 2pm I was done at 3:41pm. I had four people on my hair. This is my second time going and they have you in and out. They do a awesome job

    I LOVE MY BRAIDS!!! I booked with Nonso on July 29th and my knotless braids still look new and neat after a couple weeks later. I have an undercut hairstyle and the braiding session only took about two hours. A couple other ladies also assisted with braiding to speed up the process. The salon environment is very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be a returning customer. I could only give 5 stars, but this business deserves 10 stars. Highly recommended.

    I am new to the area and this was my first time visit. I sent a message inquiring about cost and availability and they replied very quickly.     Aug 25, 2023: I got butterfly locs. It only took about 3 hrs. It took 2 people to do my hair, sometimes 3. The shop is clean, spacious, and the people are friendly. My hair turned out beautifully! I recommend this business!Edit: Nov 27, 2023: I got butterfly locs again, this time instead of 1B I did 1B/T30 and I love it! Once again it only took about 2.5 hours, and the hairstyle is very neat and pretty. My hair grew a lot also and is very thick and healthy.

    Loving my braids! This was my first time getting my hair braided at Naija braiding palace, I was a little nervous. However, When I first walked in I was greeted properly, great atmosphere, the woman were amazing! My braids are very neat and the same size though-out my whole head. I am very particular on that.     They did my Senegalese twist for my l&d hairstyle and my experience was great. I was 37 weeks pregnant and they were done in 5 hours tops!     Naija braiding palace is the bomb! Im cautious of getting my hair braided because of my past experiences that caused stress on my edges. At Naija I have no worries. Everyone was courteous and respectful. The salon is clean. You dont have to wait when you schedule an appointment. They are fast because at least 2 people are working on your hair. The best part for me is that you can send them a picture of the style you want and they will do your hair. exactly like the picture.

    TOP TIER!!!I was able to call and make an appt. with ease. My stylist was professional and responsive as we communicated prior to the day of my service.Upon arrival I was super impressed with how CLEAN the salon was. Bathroom CLEAN! The staff was warm and welcoming as every patron walked in. The vibe was great and positive. My stylist Ashley was AMAZING!!!!! My boho braids were perfect and complete in 5 hrs! (I’m used to sitting for 10-16 hrs!!!)I have never been 100% happy with my hair until today! It was exactly how I envisioned.I can honestly say that my experience at Najia Braiding Palace as a first time client was EXCEPTIONAL!!! 100 out of 10.     I found Naija Braiding Palace through google. I called and was able to book an appointment two days later. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and polite. Prior to my appointment I washed my hair, and my blow dryer went out so I called to ask if my hair could be blow dried and the lady told me over the phone that she would charge me $20 to blow dry my hair.(I went out to purchase a blow dryer right after talking to her, but still didn’t have enough time to run back home to blow dry my hair, because I didn’t want to be late for my appointment.)I arrived at my appointment on time, and the ladies were finishing up other customers, and I had to wait, but not to long.The stylist that did my hair was very professional. She blow dry my hair, which only took a few minutes, because I had already detangled my hair and braided it off into sections. The stylist was gentle and my hair isn’t tight,which I love! The service was also pretty quick. I arrived at 12:00 and left at 4:30. (This included that short wait time and blow dry). The shop was also very clean. Overall it was a good experience and I looove my hair!! I got passion twist.The only reason why I’m giving a 4 star and not a 5 star is because of the $20 blow dry, but I definitely would still recommend them!————————————————————————**Detail of service provided: **I paid $180 for 18’ inch passion twist, plus $20 for the blow dry, hair was not included

    I first came here a little over a year ago to have my hair braided for my competition. It was going to be a temporary hair style but I loved it so much that I have come here every few weeks to have my hair braided ever since which Im glad because it has made my natural hair so healthy and full! I get knotless braids and they last a long time. I go more often than needed because I do vivid colors and like to change the color often. The ladies here are so sweet with amazing customer service!! They are fast and precise with all the hairstyles. They go above and beyond to make every customer happy with their hair. I recommend making an appointment because now everybody knows how skilled they are and are filling up their books so its difficult to get a walk in appointment. Best hair braiding place in Jax!!

    This braiding shop is the best I’ve been to i. Jacksonville and honestly the best I’ve experienced in SC and GA as well. The owner and staff are extremely fast and professional. Ive never had my hair braided so quickly. I was finished in a little under 3 hours for small-medium knotless box braids. The parts are clean, and hair is trimmed and dipped and moose was also applied. They also did my edges and made sure it was perfectly neat. The price is reasonable for waist length, it was worth every penny. This is officially my one and only braid spot and I recommend it to everyone.

    If I could give TEN stars, I WOULD!!!! They have definitely gained a new customer. From the phone etiquette, to the in person visit, to the actual service performed. First, I was almost an hour late due to the weather traveling from out of town, and once I arrived, they were all still very professional and sweet. The shop was extremely clean and organized, and they immediately started on my hair. With two braiders, it only took them 5 hours to complete my XTRA SMALL knotless braids. They are lightweight, the parts are clean, and they were considerably gentle on my head considering I can be sometimes tender headed. The price was very reasonable, and needless to say, I will be returning there for my next time I decide to have braids. Thank you Naija and crew!!

    I had a positive experience. the owner was very responsive when i texted and called. she gave me options which i love. they did exactly what I asked for and made sure I was happy. there was plenty braiders ready to braid and moved quickly. All the braiders was positive and pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the ladies. I booked the appointment for both my sister and I. when I got there they were ready to began. we both got knotless and it took around 3 hours and 45 min which was impressive. They completed my sister hair in 3 hours. I’m very impressed. it normally takes 6 to 9 hours to get these things lol. I wouldn’t really called this a complaint against them but rather a growing moment for myself There was one small thing i didn’t like but i think 🤔 it’s my personal preference is the razor cutting of the hair at the end i would have preferred just to leave it naturally as it is but that on me because i didn’t speak up like i could have to say leave it. However i would definitely return. this experience was beautiful and pleasant.

    Ive been going to this shop for a little while now and they have always been great, however after my appointment today I wont be going back. Ive gotten twists and cornrows from them before and have been a reoccurring client that washes and brings their own hair. My last few appointments have been for twists, specifically Y twists. The first time I requested this style, they did it! It was exactly as I wanted it! I also asked if they could do it with hair added!! I was only charged $100 and I have always tipped pretty reasonably, usually $20-$40 extra. I always ask the price prior to the appointment and come with money ready but the last time I went, today, 01APR23, I didnt ask for the price; assuming that it would be the same. My last appointment prior to today, they also did my twists a little differently and I could tell because I sat in the chair longer versus the first time I asked for these twists. The pictures I shared last time, she gave me a price range and I went with the $100/cheaper range because I like less twists versus more on my head. I assumed it was a miscommunication issue on my part, so I gave it another try for an appointment with clear intentions for 01APR23. Leading me to this review. I always include pictures of the style I want, and I thought it was pretty clear what I wanted. They proceeded to do my hair not as I wanted; by the time anyone realizes this (because youre facing opposite of the mirror) its usually too late to stop or some people do the other not so nice thing and walk out.I noticed it wasnt what I wanted again because I was in the chair longer, again, versus the first time they did my style right. We got to the end, I proceeded to pay after the person doing my hair asked me how much did the owner say?. I told her $100 because thats what Ive always paid. She then asks the owner, and she says $140. I brought in $125 because again, I tip pretty good since the prices were reasonable and inexpensive, at least for what I get. I had to go to an ATM to get out the rest and still gave her an extra $10 (this time only amounting to a $15 tip). When I returned, I asked the person who did my style, can you do Y twists. She then tells me, its a hairstyle for natural hair only. I tell her, you all once did this style for me and it looked great. She proceeded to tell me again, its a natural hairstyle only. As I was already disappointed at the price and the response I got from the style, after saying thank you and have a good night, I just left and left it at that.Reasons why I will not go back. If you no longer wish to do the hairstyle, inform me so that I could have found someone else and not wasted anyones time or money. Whether you remembered if youve done it or not doesnt matter much, I should have been informed when I sent pictures and specifically stated I wanted my hair that way. Again, normally I ask for the price but as a reoccurring customer, I assumed what Ive always paid. I have old emails of exchanges of the price and as a person who has been there plenty of times and even after the stylist asking if I want my usual style and me showing a picture of it, I assumed the same. I should have asked for the price because I always do, but, it didnt occur to me at all; so thats on me. My benefit of the doubt is that maybe she thought I paid $140 last time for the style itself. However, we also covered prices in previous emails. That previous appointment was my $40 tipping appointment even though it wasnt what I wanted; too many twists and not the style I wanted.I ask for specific things because of my job and my hair has to be a certain way so that it can fit within standards. The twist style she gave me looks great! Dont get me wrong, its just not what I wanted. This is a great shop and they do great hair!! They just cannot do my style.
