    Went to Rose Darling salon today, it is by far THE best experience I have ever had. From start to finish, Lisa was very attentive and explained everything she was doing from start to finish. She took her time to understand my goals and my lifestyle on how I wear my hair. Not only was my service amazing but the salon is extremely clean and beautiful. This salon is a true gem , Lisa is extremely talented beyond measures. Their hours are very accommodating for everyone. I left feeling like the best version of myself and already can’t wait for my next appointment.

    Finding Rose Darling Salon was a total blessing!!! Coming from Austin TX, where talent seemed to be over flowing, I never thought Id find something or someone equivalent here. But I was wrong!! Lisa is crazy crazy talented. She takes the time to hear me out before she does anything and then she executes with precision and beauty! I feel lucky to have found her. I had originally thought that Id wait to get my haircut every time Id visit Austin but I dont feel that way any longer. Lisa is my new fairy hair godmother. The feel of Rose Darling is also so chic, in one of my favorite areas of Jacksonville.Lastly, I have very curly/wavy hair and Ive had long hair all of my adult life and decided I needed to cut it all of.     I have been to Rose Darling 3 times now and my service with Darien is always amazing. Shes always reachable ahead of time and talks through the service with me on the day of to make sure I am comfortable before she does anything. I have been highlighted by her now, glossed, and cuts of course and I have been so pleased every time. I would totally recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist!

    This is probably my favorite salon I’ve been to. It was professional yet i felt very comfortable being there, my stylist was wonderful and my hair turned out just perfect! I made sure i tipped her well and left soo happy! About a week or so later and I’ve gotten many compliments and am still in love with this cut thanks to Darien❤️

    Lisa has been my go-to stylist & colorist for two years. She makes hair magic happen whether Im going for balayage or all-over color. Lisa takes time to understand your routine to create a seamless lived-in color and cut that works for your lifestyle and (wildly) looks just as good as it ages. Ive gone to other salons where I feel like I need to see my stylist/colorist because my hairs looking a bit expired... I only ever see Lisa because I *want* to see Lisa. Subtle balayage? Check. Red rose dreams? Check. Beachy blonde? Check. She is able to create a depth of color that should be on display in an art museum. Book her now.

    I have never ever prebooked my appointments and I do here. Christian is extremely talented and learns your hair so it can be cut and styled easily. He listens to what like and tells you the truth. He does not promise you that your hair will look like or do something that it just will not do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND💯!!!

    Chris and Lisa have created the most beautiful, inclusive salon. The moment you walk in, you are greeted with smiles and a cool beverage. The salon is filled with laughter, and you can immediately tell the stylists are treated well and enjoy their jobs. Not only is the environment fabulous with details like trendy decor and comfortable chairs, but each stylist is so talented as well. I implicitly trust Lisa with my cut and color and she has never failed me. She is able to serve up looks from trendy to timeless. Rose Darling is a MAJOR gem in the San Marco community.

    This is the best salon I’ve visited. I’ve always been a little intimidated by hair salons and because of the negative experiences I’ve had, I used to avoid them at all costs. I took a gamble over a year ago with Rose Darling, and now there’s no looking back. The salon itself is gorgeous, stylish, and cozy, and knowing how much love and effort was literally poured into it makes it that much better. Every time I’ve been here, I feel so welcome and so heard about my concerns and desired outcome. I’ve had phenomenal service from Lisa, Christian, and Darien on separate occasions. I leave happy and more confident every time I visit. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a new salon, or taking a dive and visiting a salon for your first time. These artists can make your hair dreams come true. You won’t regret it.

    I’ve been going to Rose Darling for almost one and a half years. Lisa has taken me from brunette (previously dyed) to my natural dark blonde, and all the way to a very classic blonde with highlights. She is always so sweet to me, as are all the other stylists at the salon! Lisa will be doing some highlights to my hair for my upcoming wedding, and I’m so excited.     The owners, Lisa and Christian, are absolute gems! I get my haircut by Christian and he has always done such a wonderful job..     I have never quite found a colorist as talented as Lisa. Cant speak for any of the others but Lisa was actually recommended to me by another colorist who admired her technique while I was on a business trip up in Boston. That alone was impressive. Ive been going to her ever since and my hair feels and looks as vibrant as it did when I was in my 20s. She really listens to you and helps you to make a sound decision about your haircut, style or color.. or life choices. Whichever you prefer. :)

    Lisa is hands down, the best stylist and colorist I have been to! Lisa and Chris have truly created such a wonderful salon in Jacksonville. Prior to Rose Darling, I had been trying to achieve a balayage that required less maintenance, without any luck. The aesthetics are simple and welcoming, I adored it.During my color consultation, Natalie helped me decide what color/tones would work best with my skin and natural hair color, as I was flexible and open to suggestions.     Had my second appointment with Christian today, and it was even better than the first. Left feeling like my hair looked terrific, which is exactly how you want to feel when you leave your hairdresser. Am moving about 40 minutes away from Jax, but will definitely continue to make the trip to Christian and Rose Darling salon. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

    This review is long overdue. I have been seeing Lisa for my hair for years but there was a break for a while when she moved to Florida again and I hadnt yet realized she was coming back to NYC every so often. Now that I know, I will never go anywhere else again. I will go to Lisa wherever she goes (well, traveling NY to FL was a little tough) but you get the picture. She is a hair magician. I have hair Id consider meh but I always feel like a goddess after I have my hair colored and cut by Lisa, and I dont know how she does it. Shes also a gem of a person - truly sweet and extremely interesting and fun to talk to. I tried some other salons in NYC and just never found a person who was as lovely and as talented as Lisa. If you live in Jacksonville and you are not going to Rose Darling, I ask you - why not?! You are wasting your time because eventually if you do go there, you will just be full of regret you didnt go sooner. Trust Lisa, shes the best!

    This is seriously the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! I wanted a drastic departure from how I usually do my hair, but Lisa picked up what I was vaguely putting out there and gave me an amazing take on the hair I wanted that fits my lifestyle. This appointment was such a relaxed, comfortable, personable experience, and San Marco is so astoundingly lucky to have this gem of a spot with such talented stylists. Thanks for the do, and cannot wait to catch up again in a few months.Update: I’m still coming to Rose Darling, and every haircut is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! It’s been a lot of fun trying out new shorter haircuts every six weeks.     Lisa’s cut and colored my hair for the last year and I can’t recommend her enough. As someone who is very conscious of hair health, she’s mindful about technique (especially if you’re going to be going lighter) and explains your options to you clearly so you can decide how you want to proceed (surprisingly not as common amongst stylists as you’d think!). I am super picky about who I get my hair bleached by and Lisa is definitely a pro.

    If you need a salon, go here! I am not playing. Its beautiful and relaxing and the people are so nice! I am so, so happy with my hair cut.Christian did it.     Natalie was AMAZING! She did exactly what I wanted when I asked for a red balayage. She educated me on everything I needed to do to maintain it and it keep it vibrant. She also gave me so much advice to care and style my curls. If you need a curly hair stylist then Natalie is your girl. She has the best tips for caring for colored curly hair and I feel I can trust her with anything we want to try without breaking my curl pattern.

    Came in for a quick trim as I couldnt get into my usual stylist at a different salon before I went on vacation. After sitting in Christians chair for 5 minutes, I already knew that this was going to be my new permanent salon. Even though I came in just to get my dead ends cut off, I showed Christian a picture of a haircut I wanted to get in the future after I grow my hair out a bit more and he told me exactly what he was going to do for my trim to get my hair looking healthier now, but what he was going to do for my hair to prep it for the haircut I want in the future. Most other salons Ive been to wouldnt care about your future haircut, just what you want done that day. Christian is extremely knowledgable and it truly a hair artist. I cant wait to come back and sit in his chair again for more haircuts and color appointments. 20/10 recommend coming here.

    100% the kind of salon that becomes a home base for hair care permanently. The staff is very focused on making sure all questions get answered, that they can always fit you in, and that they stay on the same page with what a person is asking for.Coloring can be an expensive and time consuming endeavor for the long-haul. I wouldnt spend money on it if I wasnt sure it was being carried out at its highest level.By far the best salon in Jacksonville Ive experienced, and Ive been to several. These are the kind of stylists and colorists a person follows for a lifetime. Highly recommend both to those who dont know what they want, and for those who are very sure of it. Youre in good hands.

    Lisa is to be trusted with your hair. I am not one to spend a lot of time on my hair but she made it fun and easy. When I started seeing her I had very long purple hair, which before a corporate interview she took to my natural brunette and chopped off 8 inches. We then turned around a few months later to start the journey to platinum. And I mean journey! so Much time and effort went into getting the hair of my dreams, there were nights we shut down the salon, I’m talking 7+ hour appointments, and she never made me feel rushed and was always positive.
