    Both myself and my adult daughter have recently had total hair experiences at *the* salon. Every stylist - and the owners - were very knowledgeable about their products and the differences of our hair.Celeste squeezed me in last minute. In my short 20 minutes with her, I learned that Ive been *not* taking care of my hair and scalp my entire 52 years. Incredibly knowledgeable about the products they sell.Lily graciously gave my daughter a brand new look (short notice again and on a Saturday). My daughters hair was past her bum. Now its just below her shoulders. It looks so healthy. Her words: Played with the hair cut more and absolutely love it! Lily did a phenomenal job!. Again, so very much knowledge!

    You ever go to a hair stylist and ask them for their opinion only to receive the vague response, What ever you want, sweetie. UGH, its the worst! Im so glad I found T.H.E because that NEVER happens. They are professionals and will help you decide on the hair color or style thats best for you. My two favorite stylists are Bryan McSweeney and Alexis Collins but Im sure any stylist at T.H.E will not disappoint. These guys work as a team, Ive seen two hairstylists work together on picking the right color and style for a costumer; not because the stylist was inexperienced, they were able to combine their knowledge to the benefit of the costumer.

    Celeste worked magic on my hair, bringing it back to life after a long period of box dying it myself. She gave me the cut, color, and dimension I wanted when I visited her a couple months ago, and the touch up appointment was just as great. My hair is so healthy now. Within minutes of sitting in Celeste’s chair, I knew I’d found the right stylist. Not only did she understand what was wrong with my cut, she was able to correct it.     My stylist was Lina Delgado and she was AMAZING! She not only took her time listening to what I wanted but also came out with the results I asked for. It took me almost 3 years since living here to find somebody who could do my hair right! She was easy to talk to, made you laugh, and was nothing short of amazing professionally. The price was great also! HIGHLY recommend her and this studio!

    Had a wonderful experience overall! Gretchen did an amazing job of taking my coppery-orange locks and turning them into beautiful blonde and blended highlights. She was so nice and gave me tons of information on products that would work for me. Also, the customer service I received from Ben is note-worthy. He called me two hours before my appointment to make adjustments to my appointment time for my convenience, which I appreciated tremendously! Despite the long drive required from me to get there, they have earned my continued business.

    I was visiting a friend here in Florida and decided I wanted to change my hair style. I called this salon and they fit me in the schedule. Emily was my stylist and she was amazing!!!! She gave me the exact cut I was looking for. She was so sweet! I really enjoyed visiting with her and she was very knowledgeable about the products I needed for my hair! I would highly recommend this salon. I’m just sad she isn’t in Louisiana.

    I just moved from out of town and was so pleased to have found this salon. Great service! They offer you a drink when you walk in the door and during your appointment. My stylists name is Haley and she did an awesome job with my cut, color and highlights! The website clearly lists pricing, and any questions I had about my root touch up cost was answered before getting started. I’ve already made future appointments and don’t see any reason to look for a different salon or stylist.

    I had the BEST experience at this salon. Not only was Brian an amazing hair stylist, but the other stylists there were so kind and accommodating. They frequently discussed my hair and shared ideas and suggestions. Its a beautiful salon with impeccable customer service. I spoke to Ben on the phone several times and he was so helpful!!! Ive gotten so many compliments on my hair since my visit, Im blown away. I will certainly be back to have my hair done by Brian again.

    Absolutely the best salon I have ever used. Mary, the pedicurist, is the best in town. Stephanie does a great job conjuring an easy to maintain but very stylish hair do out of my thinning hair. But they are not the only ones who are very skilled and go the extra mile to get you what you want and what looks best for you. And the managers really work with you on schedules and reschedules and are very professional. Try them and youll keep coming back.

    Total hair experience is a true SPA day experience! The staff is very friendly and professional. I relocated from Georgia and was very concerned about my next stylist as when you find a good one, its very hard letting go. Tricia is my stylist and is AWESOME.. she truly cares about your hair care needs! The whole family now goes to Tricia. Gen and Patrick are a hoot.. very glad that I found the Total Hair Experience true to their name!!

    Total Hair is a warm and welcoming place. Oh they are thoroughly modern in their decor and pristine surroundings and up to date, of the minute hair styles and treatments. I love Gretchen she does my cut and color and from the very first time she has been right on. She is so patient (I am a little afraid of change),knowledgeable, and spot on with color plus she is just a real sweetheart. This is an awesome place!!!

    I cannot say enough good things about Lily! I have been getting highlights for 5 years elsewhere, and never gotten exactly what I wanted. I showed Lily what I wanted and she got me there the 👏🏻 first 👏🏻 appointment 👏🏻. She was so good and so sweet. Definitely recommend her!

    Absolutely would recommend this salon to any of my friends and family. My stylist Alyssa was very helpful and understood my natural blonde look that I was going for. I am very picky when it comes to my natural blonde hair and she did a phenomenal job. The staff was very hospitable and you can tell there always keeping up with the latest trends. A++

    So, let me start out by saying, my experience at T.H.E. was not great. I had been there before but this time (after over 3 hours) I left sore, exhausted, and scalding mad. There were some communication issues related to billing and services and some issues with the way my bangs were cut.When I got home, I was HOT with anger. I felt very much over billed and slightly taken advantage of. I called and left word to have the manager, Melody, return my call. She did and was patient and professional, despite my very obvious anger. She explained the itemization and billing. I insisted on a partial refund and she said that was not their policy (understandably so) but that she did not want me to be unhappy and offered me a credit for the services I was not aware of when I returned for my next service.I feel this was fair and, in hindsight, very much appreciate her accommodation.Now, in regards to my hair cut and partial highlight... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have never received so many compliments for a hair cut/style and I have had MANY. People cannot stop telling me how awesome it looks. It is also the EASIEST style I have ever had to manage. Fast drying and I have never been able to get my extremely thick and wavy hair so straight. The partial highlights are natural-looking and it looks amazing with my angular face shape, an issue I can rarely get addressed with a stylist successfully. CELESTE is the only stylist I have ever seen here and I will not see anyone else going forward.T.H.E. clearly values loyalty and knows what they are doing. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning and recommend CELESTE (and all of their staff) for anyone looking to get something amazing done for their hair.

    I hadnt been to a salon in a while and I was a little apprehensive at first; some salons can be very closed circle. That was not the case here. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The salon its self was very professional looking and clean. Haley transformed my battered ever graying mom hair into something dignified of a professional woman like I am. Im super pleased with the results and look forward to becoming a regular.

    My daughter and I were in Jacksonville, Florida, for business related matters, in January 2017, and we stopped by a local hair salon, where we met Bryan McSweeney. We were so impressed by his dedication to his work, his focus of attention, and his ability, as well as his willingness to take the needed amount of time with his clients, to ensure that they were happy with the end result of their experience. In fact, we were so impressed, that we chose to return to see him on our most recent visit to the area. Fortunately for him, and my daughter and I, as well, we were told that he had relocated to a new Salon, which is The Total Hair Experience. We made an appointment a month in advance, for the date of our next business trip, and my daughter and I are both very happy with our experience with Bryan. We chose to drive an extra hour away from our business destination, in order to see him. That makes a total of 5 hours that we drove, for our appointment with Bryan. He takes his time with his clients, he has an artistic eye, and he is worth the 5 hour drive. Im very happy with my new look (bangs are a big step for anyone) and I have no regrets. I feel more confident, and as if Ive turned the clock back several years. Thank you, once again, Bryan.

    I WAS A WORKING HAIR STYLIST FOR 38 YEARS; TO SAY I AM PICKY IS PUTTING IT MILDLY. WHEN GOING IN FOR MY NEW HAIRCUT, I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT HOW THE END RESULT WOULD LOOK. I WAS SET UP WITH KAYLEE WALTERS. I WANTED A VERY ADVANCED HAIRCUT SO THAT IT COULD HAVE GONE BADLY. I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN IT CAME OUT LOOKING SO AMAZING. SHE HAS GREAT HAIRCUTTING SKILLS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HER CONFIDENCE AS WELL; BECAUSE WHEN HEARING I WAS A STYLIST FOR MANY YEARS, MOST STYLISTS CAN GET A LITTLE NERVOUS WORKING ON MY HAIR. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KAYLEE!

    Best Hair color, ever, by Annie. This was my first experience at Total Hair. The spa is immaculate and everywhere I looked, everyone was walking out looking fabulous. Usually I wait until I go to California or New York to have my hair colored, But now I can drop in anytime.Annie even worked around my schedule to accommodate me.You will not be disappointed!

    I am a male that went to the salon today for my first time. I arrived 30 minutes before closing, mind you today was New Years Eve, and Benjamin thought they could have enough time for a cut. I was offered a drink while I waited. I was brought to Patricks station where we talked about how I wanted the cut. He was very friendly and patient with my requests. I had a hair wash and cut that didnt feel rushed given the after-open hour. I tried the salon because I was tired of driving to Avondale just for a cut. Overall, I highly recommend them and enjoyed my hair cut. I think it turned out great. Very professional staff and environment. 10/10, would get my hair cut here again.

    Total Hair Experience Salon is one of the very best in Jacksonville. They run on time and have prompt communication. My stylist, Stephanie, creates magic with color - her cuts are spot on. One feature I love the most is the mini -- the salon offers a root touch-up in the visible areas, allowing you go get more longevity out of your color while saving a little money by extending the time before a full color. Points earned for services can be turned in for discounts, too. A customer first salon, that has you leaving feeling sassy.

    The ladies and gentlemen who work here are very nice. I went in to get my hair done for Christmas and Emily did a great job. I really wanted to do something different and fresh and she was super accommodating. She helped me pull off a balayage color with layers and a bit of a shag cut. I LOVE my new hair thank you Emily!

    You wouldnt expect a wonderful salon to be in the same plaza as publix but it is truly the best experience. Service prices are a la carte and standardized so youre never overcharged and they use and sell high quality hair products. Also they give you wine while youre getting your hair cut. Honestly Ive gotten the best hair cuts of my life from Cameron and even though I go to school in Miami the attention to detail and price cant be beat so I only get my hair cut here in Jax. Salon is clean with a tasteful and modern design.

    Great place and great staff. Very friendly and helpful. I was always nervous about going to the salon and hated going, but this place changed my outlook. They offer you a drink while you wait, a little added bonus. Many services are offered, and all at reasonable prices. Products are also sold there, and the receptionist is very helpful in choosing products that fit your hair needs. They also have free samples for some products.

    I have very, very thick, wavy hair but have only ever been to salons like hair cuttery and only ever been disappointed.I decided to treat myself to a better experience. I got an appointment on a Friday very soon after I called. My stylist really knew what she was doing and offered to de-bulk my hair to get rid of a lot of excess thickness that wasnt doing anything for me but weigh down my style.I had asked about this service at other salons after reading about it online but was always dismissed by other stylists. I am starting to think they just werent comfortable or didnt know how to do it. Not the case here. I finally have the style I want and feel so much lighter!!!I researched the prices online so I was not shocked when it was time to pay.I paid $85 for the wash, cut/de-bulking, blow out. I also purchased one of the products used and my total was $101 before gratuity, which I was HAPPY to give.I recommend this place because, while it is a higher end experience than your average chain, it isnt a snooty place. The stylist didnt force a lot of small talk but was friendly. I was offered a beverage when I came in and everyone seemed relaxed and happy enough to be there. An aesthetician came around and introduced herself and gave a brochure with her services but was not pushy at all.

    I recently had a WOW experience at The Total Hair Experience Salon. A few weeks ago I fried my hair by over coloring at home (which is a bad idea, leave it to the pros) I woke up yesterday morning totally disgusted with my hair so being new to Jacksonville I used Google to find a salon that might be able to fix my hair. I came across Total Hair experience online and saw they had a great star rating and a very informative website. In addition they offered an extensive menu of services and quality products. I called to schedule an appointment I explained my situation and Ben (they very nice gentleman who answered the phone who is also the owner) sympathized with me and to my surprise they were able to get me right in same-day! When I arrived I found a very upscale looking and comortable salon where I was greeted warmly by name and introduced to Melody, my stylist. She spent the time to listen to my plight and assured me she knew just what to do. She treated my hair with a product solution tailored just for my hair type and to my amazement transformed my dry, damaged, over-processed hair from a haystack to silk! She was very easy to talk to, offered me a water, soda or glass of wine (I needed that to calm my nerves for sure) and gave me what I can only describe as the best haircut EVER. I have spent tons of money in fancy salons and not recieved this level of care and professionalism. When she was finished with my hair I couldnt believe how incredible I looked! My hair looks and feels healthy and soft with the perfect cut and the best part is an instant, noticable difference- bye bye damage! Ben and Melody then suggested the haircare products that would help me not only to maintain the look and health of my hair but to restore it and were extremely knowledgeable about their line of products. They helped me choose a hair care regimen that best suited my needs and explained how to use the products. I can not say enough wonderful things about the salon or its staff to give them the praise they deserve. Ive already scheduled my next appointment and I will continue to trust only the Total Hair Experience Salon with my hair again. Thank you! Thank you Ben and Melody!!! You made me feel like family! (And I look great again!!!)

    I love this salon! It looks like a salon in New York as its so trendy and chic. the staff is friendly and welcoming. They serve wine and beer as well as waters if preferred. The stylists are top notch and well trained. I love that they are Kerastase certified which is a very difficult thing to achieve. Very clean and flexable with your schedule. Highly recommended!

    My hair is known for just being long and blah and very dead. I naturally have curly hair so I constantly heat up and damage my hair with all sorts of products and heating tools to straighten and or curl. I wish I had a before pic to depict the transformation. Annie Tran did an AMAZING job on my long layer and caramel balayage do! I was so happy to start this year off with such beautiful and renewed hair! I always come out of this salon feeling like a new person. Everyone is so friendly and talented and its the only place I know that sells kerastase products which does WONDERS to your hair!     I only gave this place 5 stars so you guys could see my comment....my wife just got back from this salon and she told me they charged her 65$ just for a haircut!!! They only charged her extra because they had a senior do her hair. She was not told this in the beginning and was not informed at all till after the cut. She even called in advance and asked for a price estimate....they said they couldnt give her one that the stylist charged differently. On top of that she went in for a color (blonde) and they told her it would be a process she she is now red in which she understood. But 65$ for a haircut? Crazy! My wife will never be going back there ! Ever! And if thats what you charge for a senior to cut hair you should let your customers know ahead of time ! Very displeased!

    Bryan did such an amazing job with my hair! I wanted to go back to being platinum blonde after a few years of letting my natural dirty blonde hair just grow and occasionally getting a few highlights. Unlike other stylists I had seen before him (who told me that it would be a long 6 month process of highlighting and slowly gaining more blonde), he listened to me and talked with me to ensure we were on the same page about what I wanted and how he would get me so blonde in one day. He did exactly what I wanted and it could not have turned out better!
