I was referred to Heather by a friend after a botched balayage I got done somewhere in Orlando. Heather was absolutely amazing, she walked me through everything we needed to do to get my hair how I wanted it. She also was able to squeeze me in before my ski trip which was so great! She was very gentle and worked so fast. It was an amazing experience and my hair looks absolutely stunning I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The prices are very reasonable and everyone in the salon was very nice! Heather was great, I was in tears after seeing my beautiful hair fixed. I just had a haircut/color (above the shoulders) with Anna today. I have to say she is absolutely the sweetest lady and I love my visits and chitchat with her. A few months ago she did nothing short of a miracle job managing a situation where I pulled out a bunch of my hair by taking out my own hair extensions (so dumb). I was absolutely devastated and in tears when I got to the studio. She calmly listened to my concerns and then confidently gave me a big chop that evened out some VERY scraggly, ugly ends and totally turned my massive mistake around. My hair has never felt softer or healthier in my entire adult life. I left my visit SO relieved and feeling better about my hair thanks to her.Today she totally nailed the color I had in mind with very little reference material to go on. I am so thankful for her patience, sweet confidence and gentle touch (I have a very sensitive head!). I really look forward to having her as my go-to stylist from now on!

Anna W did an excellent job with my hair! I walked in with very dry damaged thick frizzy hair and opted for a treatment with wash/blow-dry and style. Anna worked on my hair with no judgements; she listened to what I was looking for and fixed my hair with a lot of care making me absolutely love my hair and style. She even gave me tips on maintaining my hair with no push on buying products. Excellent customer service, thank you so much Anna!! I am looking forward to being there again for future services.

I just want to start by saying if you’re looking to gain some trust back into going to the salon and having an amazing experience, Ashley is your girl! I was very nervous going into this appointment just because all my past ones have not went the way I wanted. The final results either weren’t what I asked for or were just not great. That was NOT the case this time around. Aside from the absolutely gorgeous final product the entire appointment was so much fun, exactly what you would want in a hair appointment. We chatted almost the entire time, we laughed and Ashley was genuinely such a fun person to talk to. She made my experience fantastic from start to finish. I would recommend her to anybody looking to be blown away with her talent and to just have a fun little hair day! 10/10🫶🏼 Also such an adorable salon, GREAT vibes!!!

When I first moved to Jacksonville, it took me a second to find who would do my hair and on about the 4th try I found Heather. My hair is very curly and most people do not know how to respect the curl. Heather does that and more. I have been seeing Heather for years now and she is outstanding. She has taken me from blonde to brunette to red, back to blonde again. She is extremely knowledgeable and is thoughtful in her consultation. She sets expectations and then exceeds them. She makes adept recommendations in products and hair tools. She both understands my very curly hair and then when I want to blow it out too. I trust her, without a doubt. And heavily rely on her guidance to help me make up my very indecisive mind. She has not steered me wrong yet. Beyond her hair expertise, she is just a delightful human being. She has an infectious energy and I look forward to our visits.

Heather Brooks is amazing!! She has been doing my hair for years, and we have been through many hair adventures together. Whether it be massive color or style changes Heather is always up for the challenge. During our consultations Heather is very kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest. She is happy to help you transform your hair but is realistic with you about the journey it will take to get there. There are no surprises with Heather doing your hair, she is open about her thoughts and plans and sticks to them. Heather is truly the best around and I trust her enough to go in and say have fun. After reading reviews, I made an appointment and saw Halle last night. I went in with a few photos for inspiration, but pretty open to any and all suggestions. I have also had the same hair cut for a very long time. Halle listened to my thoughts and concerns and she worked her magic. To say I love my new look is an understatement. Every friend, family, or colleague I have seen since has commented on how beautiful my new look is, and I could not agree more. If you want to do something different, but not sure what, go see Halle and she will work her magic

I had my hair appointment with Caroline today. I waited 2 months to get an appointment with her because (based on google reviews) I wanted someone with great coloring skills to do my hair. She did not disappoint at all! The wait was totally worth it. She fixed the color inconsistencies/flaws that my last hair stylist left and did an amazing job with the blond highlights I’ve been wanting to have. She also expertly lightened my base and blended my roots to flow seamlessly with my lighter colored highlights. I will definitely be going back to see Caroline in 3 months. She is also not only good at what she does but she is very friendly and fun to talk with!

Cathy is the absolute best at highlights! I had about 5 inches of grow-out (medium brown natural hair). This was after ONE session. Just wow! My hair is soft, shiny, and BLONDE. Cathy is such a wonderful person and is so incredibly nice. I can not recommend her enough!!! She books up fast so you usually have to make an appointment at least 2 months in advance. She’s definitely worth the wait.

When I first met Halle, I was super nervous, to hand over your trust, she is great, Fantastic, to be honest! I have seen her a couple times and walked away always satisfied. This year, for my birthday, I took the plunge and changed my hair color, again super nervious, I put my trust in Halle and she took every precaution, we talked about the different types of coloring, all over, highlights, etc. she helped me decide what would look best and she did not disappoint, I could not be more happier with my new hair. I’ve been coming to this salon for many years and have never left unsatisfied! In general, the salon is always so clean and organized and the vibes are always immaculate! The front desk staff are some of the most helpful and kind that I have ever experienced.I have very fine, curly hair and have gone years without knowing how to take care of it. Recently, I went and saw Ashley, who, at first, took time prior to the hair cut appointment to sit with me and come up with a plan, and started recommending me products to use (which work GREAT!!)The day off my appointment, I actually had to call the salon and let them know there was a possibility that I would be late, and they were so quick to answer and were great with helping me communicate with Ashley!During the actual appointment, I was so impressed with her! She took so much time to sit there and talk to me about what I wanted and what I was comfortable with, and once the cut was done, she spent such a long time going over how to style my curls and how to make them look good. I was honestly shocked at how well she was able to get my curls to look. It was easily one of the best hair cuts I’ve ever had!

I’ve been coming to WCHD since 2019 and Heather Brooks has been my go to girl! She is so beyond talented and you can tell she has a passion for what she does. She’s AMAZING! Went in for a roots retouch and highlights service. Amy took her time addressing my concerns and gave me some really helpful suggestions. I will definitely be a regular in this salon. They all wanted to know who and where I got it done. I told them I live in Jacksonville and the shop I go to is WEST COAST HAIR SALON. Love this salon! It is difficult for me to find a trustable hair salon with amazing stylists but this is truly a place filled with talented people.I got a balayage done with Natalie who is new to the area and she did an amazing job. When we moved to Florida the hardest thing was finding a new stylist. I was lifelong friends with my girl back home in Cali, so she knew my hair better than I knew my hair. I was extremely nervous going to a new stylist. When I went in for my first appointment with Lindsey my anxiety was immediately calmed, she has the warmest personality.I went in for a haircut, to remove a lot of the grown-out bleach and vibrant color I had. Her level of professionalism, dedication to continuing education (she’s often taking her time off to attend conferences on the latest techniques), and interest in the chemistry behind the various dye processes she uses to achieve any number of looks ensures significant versatility in her domain, meaning she doesn’t just produce 1 style for all, but works with the client to understand their desired look, and has an extensive repertoire of procedures to choose from to achieve said request. Lastly, she’s careful to guide the client towards treatments and procedures that ensure health of hair.   I can’t imagine going to anyone else.

This is THE best hair salon in Jacksonville. I am so glad I found this place. I first found my hair stylist Caroline on Instagram. When I went here for the first time, Caroline made me feel at ease. She is so sweet, genuine and hilarious! She is an expert on hair color, and a true gem in the hair industry. West Coast Hair Design always has made me feel welcome, has super sweet and friendly staff, super clean workplace and the salon uses the best top of the line products. Wow. I walked into my appointment with Amy Ron ready for a major hair change. After an excellent consultation where I felt she really listened to the look I was hoping for, she cut off twelve inches of hair! This was my first dry cut and I cannot speak highly enough of Amy’s skills in this area. She created beautiful layers that framed my face and achieved exactly the look I was hoping for. She educated me on some recommended products (in a completely non-salesy way) and taught me the best way to curl my new hair to be on trend. Start to finish the best hair experience I’ve ever had! I appreciated the hair consultation questions before my appointment. Important questions such as products used, last time balayage was done, how often do you use heat to style your hair, etc etc.Natalie did balayage and a haircut and I have never been happier with the outcome! She spent time in the beginning of the appointment to really get to know me and my preferences as well as what I wanted out of the appointment. She is extremely knowledgeable in her work! PERFECTION IN COLOR AND CUT! Caroline R. is amazing! She took me from a pixie over the ear hair cut to shoulder length hair with NO growing pains. That is a feat in and of itself. Come the day of my appointment, Natalie was so communicative about what she was doing, and even when as far as reviewing the ingredients of products I currently use and suggesting new ones. Throughout the years, I have lived all across the state and would always hold out on returning home/driving around 3-4 hours to to get my hair services completed. I was terrified about letting someone I didn’t know touch my hair. After finally settling down in Jacksonville, I couldn’t fathom making that drive time and time again. This began my research. I searched for the best of the best and finally came across Lindsey Long. Seeing her positive reviews and her gorgeous work, I knew she was the one for me. I had a bit of a wait, but I figured that what’s another few weeks when I have waited this long. After visiting Lindsey, I understand why she has such a wait time. She listened to all my questions and concerns and was patient in explaining the whole process to me. With my busy work schedule, I was only able to make it in later in the evenings. Lindsey stayed past closing with me (while pregnant!) and perfected my hair. Not once did she complain or rush the process. I look forward to my appointments with her (which I now book well in advance) not only to come out with gorgeous hair, but to catch up with this fun loving artist.

I truly cannot express how grateful I am that I found Natalie at West Coast Hair Design!! Before my visit to West Coast, I had a badly botched balayage and was so unhappy with my hair. Not only was the balayage itself done poorly but the overall color and tone of my hair was not even close to what I wanted. I wanted a cool ash blonde balayage, and was left with a brassy orange color to my hair, with huge chunks that were so badly blended. I booked a color correcting consultation with Natalie and was instantly put at ease. Right off the bat she was so kind and reassuring and answered my every question and concern. I showed Natalie the same pictures that I had shown the previous stylist, and Natalie gave me multiple options on how we could achieve the results I wanted. I booked an appointment with her for a gloss, root smudge and tip out hi-lights to fix my hair and I am absolutely amazed by the results!! The results are so far beyond my expectations I was speechless when I saw the final result! I walked out of West Coast more confident and happy than I could have imagined, after having so many bad experiences with other salons. I can’t express how happy I am with my hair, it’s the exact color and look I wanted! I have no idea how, but in a single session Natalie was able to completely correct the tone and blend out my hair beautifully! I feel so confident with my hair and so happy I have found a talented stylist that truly listens to their clients! I already have my next session booked with Natalie and I won’t trust anyone else with my hair from now on! After reading lots of reviews, I chose this salon because their reviews seemed the most authentic. I had my colour and cut done by Cathy, and am extremely happy with my results. She was able to get rid of the red tone and bring my hair to a lovely natural color. I’m super happy with this salon, the staff are nice and it’s very clean. I gave the salon 5 Stars because they have experienced colourist and are extremely qualified. I highly recommend this salon, they are on the same level as stylists in NYC.

Brooke is AMAZING. She provides great service! She’s also the sweetest. I’m so happy I found her, she makes my hair look amazing and always makes my hair look exactly the way I want. Anna Carter is absolutely wonderful! Not only is she an incredibly talented stylist, but she also has the best personality. Talking to her is like visiting with an old friend, and she listens attentively to what Id like. I hope she sticks around because I dont intend on seeing any other stylist! Everyone else at West Coast Hair Design is friendly, too. The location is great and the salon is beautiful.

I’d give this place a million stars if I could! Today was my first experience here and my stylist was Anna Hendrix-Carter. She read my mind as to what I wanted and I am beyond pleased with my new hair color and cut. She is also very personable and made me feel comfortable right from the start. I’m very particular about my hair and Anna exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

This salon has the years in business and talent to back it up. When I moved from New York City to Jacksonville I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a great stylist and colorist. All of the helpful front desk women set me up with Heather Lucas and in 15 years of coloring my hair no one has nailed it like she has. Heather is very professional, friendly, and most importantly she is a rockstar and hair. I highly recommend booking with Heather Lucas for a cut or color at West Coast hair design.

I LOVE coming to this salon! Everyone is always so welcoming and nice. Lindsey Long has been doing my hair for years now and I always walk out loving my hair. This positive review is a few months over due but Anna Carter gave me the most amazing transformation/hair cut that I have been in love with ever since I left the salon!! She transformed my long straight burgundy hair which I had been keeping up with myself and which had no dimension. We took me back to my brunette root color and gave me a layered haircut with two framing front pieces. I have never loved a haircut so much before in my life and I definitely felt like I was in safe hands with her. I would highly highly recommend and will most definitely be returning when I decide to go for a balayage one of these days. 😇

Ive never written a review on anything before but this one is warranted. Im from Chicago so I was super nervous figuring out where to get my hair done. Ive used black box dye most of my life and have had a difficult time no matter where Ive gone really feeling great about the results. Amy knocked it out of the park, she gave me the best color and cut experience Ive ever had! I am so happy I found a stylist I feel good about and trust with my hair.

Had the most amazing experience From beginning to end with Heather. The consultation experience with her was unlike any other in terms of depth and detail. I truly go to the best salon in Florida! The salon is staffed with the most professional stylists. My stylist,Anna Edwards, is spectacular at hair color and very intuitive to my concerns! The owner, Linda manages to take care of her clients and then also make you feel at home. Also, important to me is the cleanliness that is demonstrated every time I have an appointment. I researched salons for about 6 months.I am picky when it comes to my hair, as I suffered for almost 3 years from post partum hair loss after I had my youngest son. So my hair was a touchy subject, I also had bad experiences in the past getting my hair done. Its been 3 years since I had a cut so I just had super long locks. I had an appointment with Heather I asked for a balyage and boy did she deliver!!! Ive never felt so amazing! I love my hair and it changed my perspective on myself. She even taught me how to style my own hair and what would work best for me. She did a phenomenal job, Thank you Heather!! :) note the whole staff was absolutely amazing and the maintenance of this cut is very affordable :)
