BEST KERATIN TREATMENT EVER! I can’t say enough positive things about my entire experience. Jo was so welcoming and professional. I’ve had many keratin treatments in the past but none as smooth as Jo’s. He really took his time and delivered a high quality treatment. I HIGHLY recommend his services . You will have a great time and won’t be disappointed:)

I moved to Key Largo and put off getting my hair done for about 8 months because it is so hard to find a new hair salon. I came across Joe via Google and booked an appointment based on good reviews. Now I can write a good review myself! I got a cut & highlights and was more than satisfied with how it turned out! I have pretty long hair and I love having lots of layers and Joe gave lots of layers and explained exactly how he was cutting my hair. My blonde highlights also turned out amazing! I showed him a picture and he did exactly the color I asked for. This will definitely be my new hair salon in the Keys!

I was in Key Largo for a few weeks before crossing to the Bahamas via sailboat and would be there for a few months so wanted to get my highlights freshened as close to departure as possible. Found Joe via Google (is there any other way to find a service these days?), arrived at his salon and, given the eclectic decor, thought my conservative style might not jive with his. Boy was I wrong. Joe is a master of the art regardless of the clients style. Hes a seasoned pro with an impressive background and an amazingly professional, highly-skilled manner. Ive had my hair done in some of the best salons in NY, Boston, DC, and London and Id return to Joe before going anywhere else. Needless to say, my hair turned out beautifully! Thanks, Joe!

Made an appointment for cut n color with Joe having no idea what to expect. Walked out with the BEST haircut I’ve ever had. My hair looked great no matter wind conditions or getting out of bed. People complimented on my hairstyle and said it made me look younger. As for color, he recommended I leave it alone since I want to transition to natural gray. Just the advice I needed. Wish I lived near Key Largo so I could have Joe as my permanent hairstylist.

Joe is phenomenal! He is exceptional with both women’s & men’s cuts. His techniques are old & new school, with a personal touch. The salon atmosphere is right up my alley with punk & welcoming vibes. Joe did an amazing job with my trim. He also talked to me about the difference between hair breakage and new hair growth, which really set my mind at ease. Not only this, but he explained the process of cutting my hair, which showed how knowledgeable he is. Great conversation as well. I will definitely be back.

My experiences have been amazing at Up Your Hair salon. Joe took care of me by recommendation from a friend and it was the best hair experience with color and cut that I have ever had. I like to remain with the long hair and he was able to work with me to keep it long but not short but that’s easier for me to care for still long but easier following an accident I had which restricts me blow dryers etc.... I have been going weekly to Erin 🍀🍀🍀🍀 and she has been spoiling me with shampoo and blow out which I highly highly recommend. I know she does more but I haven’t had that experience with her yet since I started with Joe for the first time at the first experience at Up Your Hair. Nicolle who is the coordinator of the entire place, is the sweetest happiest face I get to see in the entire team works so well together and are so accommodating that I ended up bringing one of my daughters to Joe after I had such a good experience. She loved him as much as I did and her hair turned out absolutely gorgeous just like mine. Now the next plan is to have my next two daughters come from college and have the team at Up your Hair take care of them the way that they’ve taken care of me and my eldest daughter. If you ever need a recommendation this is the best I can give one because the entire experience was so good. Joe & Erin listens to every thing that you say about what your goals are for your hair . Many stylists do not do that so this was very unusual that they took the time to really listen to both me and my daughter. Looking forward to more experiences there; don’t plan on going anywhere else for as long as we live here. Five stars all around

My only hesitation with writing this review is that once word gets out it will be hard to get an appointment!I moved to the area a few months ago and tried one other salon in Key Largo for a haircut. The owner cut my hair but was more distracted by everything else going on in the shop that I could have been a mannequin sitting in her chair and gone unnoticed.COMPLETELY different experience with Up Your Hair. I was immediately greeted with a hello and friendly smile (first impressions are very important to me) by Caitlin. And even though Joseph was wrapping up his previous client, he came over to say hello and check things out (since Im a new client) just before I got under the sink. Again, very important.Next, Joseph asked questions and actually LISTENED before taking the first snip. I have slightly curly thin hair cut in long layers about shoulder length, and have been trying out a side bang. Its been months since Ive had it cut Joseph was terrific about explaining what he was doing and getting everything back in shape.He also gets the wash and wear lifestyle and didnt insist on blowing my curls out straight like so many stylists do. Why do you do that, stylists?!! Its going to last 30 seconds out in this humidity!The ease of booking an appointment online was just one more added bonus.I promise you that Im not related to Joseph or Caitlin, I found them through a Google search (even though I live just over a mile away - never saw their storefront!). They are a small business doing things right, and I really wish them success. Ill definitely return!

This was one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had! I have naturally curly hair that I like to keep in a short, fun, flirty style and Joseph gave me a perfect cut! He was knowledgeable about modern styles in addition to being friendly and kind. I highly recommend this salon!

Chris cut my husband and my hair. He gave us great cuts. The complete staff was very friendly and personal. I asked for a different style and Chris worked with me to make it just what I wanted. I will tell all my friends about them and highly recommend!!! Also colored my hair and came out great.

I was WAY overdue for a cut and needed something done before the holidays. On a whim, I called to see if they had anything available for a walk in. The amazing Darla was able fit me into her schedule within minutes of my call. I was impressed from the moment that I walked in and greeted by the friendly professional staff and offered fresh coffee and homemade cookies! I walked out feeling like I have found my new spot with one of the best cuts that I’ve had in years. Very reasonably priced and will definitely be back!

What an unexpected surprise for a “tourist area.” Up You Hair has it going on! Joe’s color job and shaggy cut was the most perfect ever! He knew exactly what would work for my fine wavy hair! Nails by Courtney or Caitlin are top notch.Highly recommend!

Hands down by far the best Salon !! Joe & his stylists are amazing!! The best Color & Cut Ive ever had!! He just did a Vitamin C treatment on my hair (everyone should get one!) & my hair has never been healthier, soft & bouncy like virgin hair again!! If youre looking for a Salon, look no further!!!!!

Very professional and extremely talented team. I booked a foil, color and cut while traveling through the Keys over the holidays. The owner; Joeseph was attentive and helpful about creating the look I wanted. He understood the special challenges of red hair and highlights to it. The end result and blow out were impressive. I wished I lived here so I could make him my full time stylist!

Brooke is amazing! She did the best set of highlights and low lights that I have had in years (and I have been to a TON of salons over many moves and travels!) Have tried other salons in the area after moving to the Keys and this was by far the best experience. Highly recommend.

Seems that I should try to make an appointment. My husband ,Lee Wilson raves on about it. Ive been to(Tiffanys) have my hair done ( cut) for approx. 20-22 yrs.) My hair is way past my shoulder blades and about 6 inches of that is about 6 different lengths and the rest need not be said. A great hairdresser would know what needs to be doneI am getting to old to deal with this hair. Dont seem to ever have the $ to do it. I live on small S.S. check.
