The stylist was there before my appt and was very professional. Before she started twisting my hair I told her exactly what I wanted. She listened, explained to me what she was doing with my hair, did a few a strands and made sure I liked the size and length before she continued. It turned out great! I read some of the previous reviews and was a little worried but Im glad I went. Clean place, professional stylist, and reasonable price for my hairstyle.

I recently moved in the area and was desperately looking for a place to get my and my daughter’s hair braided. I stumbled upon Upscales Hair Lounge. I spoke with Nicole, told her my dilemma and she worked hard to ensure that myself and my daughter were taken care of. She was beyond amazing. When I arrived to the shop, the stylist (didn’t get her name) was so polite and welcoming. She gave me a sew-in and I am so pleased with the results. Later on in the evening, I brought my daughter in to have her hair in box braids, that stylist (didn’t get her name either 🤦🏽‍♀️) was also polite and welcoming. I would recommend this salon to everyone; and I am grateful that my daughter and I have a place to go to get out hair done!

Just left Upscales about an hour ago, and honestly I cant say enough about Tameka and the whole salon in general! Everything was clean, the bathroom was clean, Tameka was on time, she was friendly yet professional. She worked fast!!! I got my whole head braided with extensions in less than 4 hours!!! What??? Thats unreal.It honest felt like I was just chilling with a friend. The conversation flowed so naturally, my head didnt hurt when she was done, she answered my questions about hair care with ease. I am so impressed..Seriously, I am really impressed. I will definitely be going to Upscales again. So happy with my experience here.

Amicia is AWESOME. Shes very attentive and listens to directions very well. Im always going back to her. First time getting braided and I got what I wanted. Clean shop, and organized. However getting a hold of them to make an appointment is difficult at times. The ladies preform a great service but you have to answer the phones.

Came in for box braids and within three hours I was done. Tameka is amazing, fast and wonderful and she can braid let me tell you. Best experience I have had in a long time. Definitely will return !!!

Great hair salon! First time getting braids. I have Filipino hair and my stylist did a great job.She made me feel comfortable and was pleasant to talk with. Highly recommend and I will be going back.

I went to this salon for the first time last week to get my dreads fixed, mind you I did them myself so they were horrible like I jacked my hair up, but the owner Nicole HOOKED ME UP!!!! I will only go to her for my hair needs from now on!!! This place has a great homey and relaxing atmosphere! Very very nice place and so much talent!

Moving from Brooklyn, I wasnt sure if I would ever find someone to do my hair the way I am accustomed to. I am SO glad that I stumbled upon Upscales. Nicole is amazing and super thorough. And also very funny and nice. Which is what you need when you are sitting for hours getting braided! She slayed my faux locs. I cant wait to go back.

Was my first time going to the salon it was clean and the staff were very nice. Iesha did my quick weave and she was very professional, nice and diD my hair great!. Looks amazing. Really felt welcomed. Definitely will be back
