The kids really liked this place! They had plenty of chairs types to chose from, could watch whatever TV shows or cartoon they wanted while getting haircuts, and played in the playground while they waited for the other. A really kind and cool stylist who was really patient with the children. The place is very welcoming, is clean and peaceful. Highly recommended.

Love them so much!! I have 3 kids so getting something done with all 3 of them is not easy and takes coordination and although we had to wait a bit to get started, they’re service once they started working on them was great. They’re very sweet and patient and give the kids lollipops and balloons. The place is also super cute and the kids have so much fun while waiting and Bertha and the manager I believe are both super patient!

Our kid loves to get a haircut in this place!They have a playground area to entertain kids while waiting for their turn, there are many different themed chairs for the kids to chose their favourite while getting the haircut, and they could watch whatever preferred show or cartoon on TV to get a nice distraction during the haircut session.We always ask for Kacey as she is so good with kids and she has a nice style.. she is very patient and makes kids feeling super comfortable.There are multiple chairs and cutters so waiting times are never too long, you might want to make a reservation but they always accept walk-ins.Place is big and clean.Absolutely recommended

UPDATE: We got a call from the 88th St location offering to attempt to fix my son’s haircut after my review. We sat with Juliet, not only was she able to fix it but she was extremely patient with my 11 month old and made us both feel more at ease. We will definitely be coming back to her.•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••(Bird rd location) Our first time here because our usual spot closed down. I understand babies move around and it’s not an easy task however my son was left with multiple obvious spots around his head. The lady didn’t even try to clean him up. I’ve asked for this haircut every time and I’ve never had this result. And we had professional pictures set up for the next day 🫠

Bertica did an amazing job with my son’s haircut, my son has autism & he has never done so well with a barber like he did with her, he usually cries the whole time due to not allowing anybody to touch him especially his head/face area. but with her he didn’t cry at all. I have took him to other kid friendly establishments but this is by far the best. I highly recommend to request Berta. She truly was amazing with him. I will be returning for all of his hair cut needs! Thank you so much to the whole cookie cutters team!

Saw Casey for my child’s first haircut on Sunday early afternoon. It was quite busy when we got there with an appointment, and my child played in the waiting play area while the stylists finished up with several kids. They were pretty quick, and all were gone by the time my child was taking the chair. Casey was very patient and kind, and my daughter was very happy with the process and outcome. I was also explained that shampoo has to be booked separate as I didn’t realize this part, which was fine and now I know for t next time if I want that added. Casey even finished up with a simple style that put a nice touch. It was overall a very positive experience.

I love coming here with my youngest son to get his haircut. My son has fun playing while waiting or watching cartoons while getting his haircut. Casey is the best! Not only is she sweet, but she gives a great haircut to my son every time for the last 2 years. I make sure to go to her for first day of school, picture day, all the important events in his life. We are so happy with our experience there. My daughter loves to sit in the Frozen car to get her haircut and trim her bangs. They have a play area with a slide and a projector on the floor for children. At the end my daughter was given a balloon. Very friendly environment and the staff is excellent. She was very patient and kind and my 6 year old made a comment that she acted just as if she was her own grandma. Overall very pleased with our experience. Hope this business stays around for a long time! ☺️

We have been taking our 6 year old autistic son to various locations over the last few years looking for someone who is good with kids on the spectrum with little luck in the Kendall/Miami area. We finally found a place that makes the experience actually enjoyable. Cookie Cutters has it all, from the small play gym and interactive floor projection to the various tv shows to choose from during the haircut and, of course, the invaluable staff. This last aspect is what truly makes Cookie Cutters stand out. They have a spectacular hair stylist named Casey. She is both patient and understanding with our son and with us. We just had our third haircut with Casey and it was amazing to see him sit still and allow her to cut his hair. Every visit has been progressively better thanks to Casey. We cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Cookie Cutters and especially thank you Casey. You have made a very challenging aspect of ASD a normal every day event. You may not be aware of how rare it is to find a place like this in this town, which is why we are so grateful.

The location looks very clean and they took necessary precautions due to Covid19, also they have a monitor in front of the haircur chair, so your kid can watch Blippi, baby bum, mickey mouse, you tube, etc. Will definitely recommend this place

My mom took me here today! And it is like the best place in the world. The worker there is very gentle and very kind. They treat you very well and will adjust for you. They have fun little chairs to sit in and if you dont want to sit in those, dont worry they still have normal seats. You can watch tv there if you get bored and they have books for babies. There is a lady there named Casey she is very nice. They also sell ice cream. They also have a small playground and interactive game on the floor. My hair was nicely cut and it felt very soft. This place is awesome, and I would definitely go back here, and I shall!

I took my son to Cookie Cutters for his first haircut at 10 months old. He had a meltdown the moment the clippers were turned on. He wanted nothing to do with the haircut or sitting in the little car. Luvy managed to give him a beautiful haircut despite all the challenges. She is very patient and good with the babies. I watched other kids get their cuts during my short wait and they all had a great outcome. We were given a cute certificate with his picture and a lock of hair in a little bag. We had an amazing experience and our daughter was smiling and laughing with Berta. The haircut also looked extremely cute. Berta also gave us some styling tips to deal with our daughters unruly hair. We had a great experience with Luvy when I brought my daughters for a haircut. My youngest has ASD and it was her first time getting a haircut. Everything went much better than I expected and the haircuts were beautiful. I dont speak any Spanish and had no trouble communicating with anyone so I also thought that was fantastic. My daughter has asked to go back to the hair salon every day since so she definitely enjoyed the experience as well.

First time at this location. I found out about them because my normal barber for my baby went out of business. I really liked all the entertaining they have for the little kids to keep them busy. Also liked the fact that the kids each get a ballon at the end and the fact that they had several chair options for them. The place was very clean all around. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that they was only one lady cutting hair. They were two kids before us and two after so the place was busy for just one professional in my opinion. The longer we waited the more unease my son. Will I take my son again? Yes. However hopefully next time will be a better experience from beginning to end.

It was great! The place is super covid safe. They take all the precautions necessary. They sell ice cream and have an indoor playground! My only disappointment (and my kids) was that the chairs and decor were mostly for younger kids (car themes etc) but we did see two chairs that worked for the older ones like mine. We made an appointment online easy enough and got there a few minutes late due to traffic but it was ok. The first thing my 3 year old did was run to the play area. She loved it! Luvy was very patient and sat her in an Elsa car. We took pictures. I asked her for a bob cut/shoulder length cut and asked if I could keep the hair which she did tie and cut for me. My daughter was very happy watching Cocomelon and steering the toy car. She got a little fussy in the end but I helped hold her still while she finished up. It was $20 and her cute came out great. Once we were done Luvy offered her a balloon which was amazing. We left very happy and it was a memorable experience for us. I think it was more relaxed because there wasn’t anyone else waiting and it was just us. Overall I would recommend. I didn’t go in expecting perfection since my toddler moves a lot but I was very pleased with the results.

I took my 1 1/2 year old to get a haircut.. He is not a fan, but they made it so fun! Hairdresser Naile was so sweet and gentle while cutting his hair, and left him looking great.. This was the first place I took my son to get his hair cut. Being a 2 year old he is a bit fidgety. The hair dresser, Naile, was very calm and able to get the job done. He goes back every month to get his hair cut with her. I like the ambiance being so inviting to kids. I live in Miami Beach, but gladly make the trip to get my little guys haircut. Definitely recommend.

This is the review I posted on Yelp!First timer for my (almost 2yr old) sons 3rd haircut. I was unhappy with the last salon we took him to for the second haircut so decided to try a new place since hell also be walking a wedding at the end of March. My husband took a Monday off of work and we decided to walk in since we had never been and figured it should be fine since people are working and kids are at school.We were greeted by the sweetest Hispanic hairdresser, Naile! I loved that she spoke Spanish and made my son so comfortable! She took her time and gave him a balloon and a little firetruck. Little Baby Bum was on one of the little TVs. He didnt want to sit in the little car so he sat on my husbands lap. He did so great considering he doesnt love getting a haircut! He let her wet his hair and brush it. He cringed at some moments (but ONLY some)! I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she delivered!! Im ecstatic!!!When it came time to pay, she said if we buy a $20 gift card the haircut would be FREE (since it was 1pm on a Monday). You can use the gift card on the next visit or to buy any products/things from the salon. I said for sure Ill get the gift card! She even let him keep the little toy firetruck since he loved it so much. Ill be coming for the next haircut with her and for my daughters 1st haircut as well. So happy to find such a great place!!I totally recommend Naile for your chIlds haircut! I am beyond satisfied with everything!
