Hairstylist Ruth from the salon formally know as Sonias Hair Design now going by the name of Lisettes Beauty Salon left my hair looking AMAZING as always 😍. The 40 plus years of experience she has as a top tier hair stylist ALWAYS takes the time and dedication to leave my hair color and style looking spectacular. I found Sonia by complimenting a stranger’s hair who was walking by. She knows what to do with my fine hair to make it look fuller .Always keeps the time of the appointment and does not make me wait. her demeanor is upbeat and professional . I love my hair and my husband does too!

Love this place! I have been going to this salon for years. Sonia, the owner, is awesome! They are always friendly & accommodating. My boys love getting their haircuts from Sonia, my stylist Karen is outstanding & my daughter likes to use both Karen & Nancy who is also great. Honestly everyone there from the stylists to the manicurist, to the cosmetologist & the ladies who wash your hair, they are all fantastic you cant go wrong here & you wont be disappointed.

This was my second time at this salon with Ruth and she knocked it out of the park. The photo is about an hour after I left the salon. I got a wash, cut, blowdry, and style in about an hour. My hair feels healthy and they didnt weigh it down with too many products.With my fine hair curls pull out easily but these have stayed in all day. My cut was finished at around 12:30 and its currently just after 5 pm and Im still rocking a nice set of curls.

Sonias Hair Designs is practicing way better COVID protocols than my parents very well respected doctors office, Spine and Wellness Centers of America (SWCA). Crazy times, right? Youd think your doctors office would practice better safety protocols than a hair salon.Sonias - I parked, I called them from the comfort (and AC) of my car to let them know I was there, they called me when they were ready, they let me in (only me, not me AND my mother or sister or best friend or my third removed cousin), and they took my temperature before letting me in.SWCA - My mom walked right in with my dad to a waiting room packed full of people. No one took their temperatures.Sonias - All of the staff at Sonias were not only wearing their masks, but they were wearing them properly, covering their mouth and nose.SWCA - The receptionist was wearing her mask only covering her mouth despite the fact that she was in close proximity to all of the patients.Sonias - They kept me 6-12 feet from other customers and staff the entire time I was there.SWCA - They packed their patients into the waiting room like sardines. They were 3 feet apart side by side and less than 1 foot apart back to back.Sonias - If theyre running late (which has happened once in all the years Ive been going there), they call me and let me know so I can choose to come in later or reschedule.SWCA - When theyre running late, they dont call you. You get to sit in a waiting room packed full of people for an hour, then sit in an exam room for another 45 minutes, and then just go home without even getting to see a doctor.Sonias - Every time Im there, they are cleaning CONSTANTLY. Every surface, every chair, the floor, the doors, all door handles, EVERYTHING.They wouldnt let me sit in a chair until they cleaned it right before I sat in it (and I saw them cleaning the hairstylists chair and the shampoo chair I sat in as soon as the previous client left but they even cleaned them again before I sat it either of them).SWCA - In the hour and 45 minutes my parents were there, they cleaned nothing in the waiting room at all. Not once. Thats a public area where all the patients can see whats being done or not. If theyre not even cleaning that, Id be terrified to go into one of their exam rooms.Its a sad day when I feel safer and more well cared for at my hair salon who are not medical professionals than I do at a doctors office. It just goes to show how much the owner, the stylists, and all of the staff at Sonias cares. Thank you guys for caring and putting in the extra time and expense to take care of all of us clients!!!!

I had an amazing experience at Sonias! I live right around the corner and I called for an appointment. Sonia the owner answered and was able to fit me in within an hour and a half after calling. The ladies were so welcoming.The shampoo lady I had gave me the best head message Ive gotten in a long time! I didmt catch her name though. Ruth gave me an awesome cut and color, Im in love ! Ill definitely be going back!

Looking for a place to get your hair done, look no further because Sonia Hair Salon is the place to go! Ive been going to Sonias ever since I was a kid. What I love the most from this specific salon is the way everyone makes you feel from the moment you walk in, their staff is extremely friendly + they know what theyre doing. I always get my hair done with Ruth & my facials + wax with Belkis. I honestly feel like their prices are fair & the service you receive is impecable! Thank you Sonia Hair Salon for all that you do!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Sonia is a skilled professional. I have services there 3 different times and Sonia has kicked it out of the ballpark every time. I love the vibe, the services, the staff - all of it. Highly recommend. Great place.

Very clean and well organized !! Fair prices. Sonia cut my hair and did a great job. She was able to fix the disastrous haircut from Supercuts. Eli was effective with the Mani / Pedi. Good place to go to.

The best salon in Miami. My go-to has been Ameerah for too many years to mention. Debbie is also outstanding. You cant go wrong by going to Sonias. Sonia is always present and runs a great business. Everyone there is friendly and make you feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door.

I have been getting my hair cut by Cindy Paula since 1979. I followed her to Sonias Hair Design on Sunset because she is that good! Cindy and the management team at Sonias salon are always professional and courteous to me.I have to admit that I’m not very adventurous when it comes to styling my hair. As personal injury lawyers, my colleagues and I have to maintain a clean and conservative appearance when working in the court room (…besides, the thought of me sporting a Mohawk is both downright hilarious and frightening). That’s why I’ve always gone back to this place and to Cindy for the last 30+ years. They make me look professional enough when battling it out with insurance companies in the courtroom but cool enough to not get picked on by my grandkids.Every time I leave there feeling good and lookin’ good. Thank you Cindy!

Wonderful place to go to for a haircut because the ladies are friendly, outgoing, and they all do a good job on my head of almost impossibly straight hair. The facility is clean and modern, and once in a while I even get some Cuban coffee!
