I called and spoke with Eddie over the phone for 15 minutes and could immediately tell how incredibly knowledgeable he was. When I came in for my appointment, he took his time explaining the process, his recommendations and suggestions. He has such a kind personality and made it such a pleasant experience! I left with my hair looking shinier and healthier than ever!! Will definitely be back!

Stubborn Hair is an incredible salon! I’ve been seeing Eddie for over a year after moving to Miami and he is the best stylist I’ve had. Eddie combines amazing barbering and cutting techniques which I’ve had a hard time finding as I’m very particular about how the top of my hair is cut. Eddie does it perfectly! He pays attention to the details, listens to you and also makes really good suggestions. Always an amazing experience when I go to Stubborn Hair. The salon is a great environment, clean, well maintained and bright. I highly recommend this salon!

Absolute best salon experience I think Ive ever had. My hair looked incredible walking out of there. Eyad is an artist. Unlike other salons, he actually listens to what you want. I wish I lived in the US just so I could get my hair done there regularly. There are so many fake or coerced reviews on Google with other businesses, but this is the real deal. The girl who was ahead of me walked out of there looking incredible as well. Just book it.

I’ve been getting my haircut with Eyad on and off for a couple years and even when the distance is inconvenient I always seem to gravitate back. I’m always very cautious about trying a new hairstylist because of my chronic eczema, but Allex made me feel so comfortable from the moment I sat in his chair. His attention to detail is incredible—he really takes the time to ensure every cut is perfect.Beyond his amazing skills, his personality is just as incredible! Every time I go to him, it feels like a physical and spiritual transformation (seriously, lol). Came in for a icy white permanent toner with root shadows.I got a demi permanent toner with a blue tint, and root shadows were not possible without taking another appointment. Even though, I was asked 10$ more than advertised.Hairdresser was nice but tried multitasking, doesnt have enough time per visitor. He probably spent more time drying my hair than anything else, and Im not fan of blow drying.Since the toner didnt work on the roots I asked for a trim of yellow roots, which he did, that was nice.Next time Ill make it very clear Im looking for a PERMANENT toner with root shadows before taking an appointment lol 🥲EDIT: I came back for a haircut, and gotta say that hes very talented at that!

You will NEVER be disappointed coming here. Giving you my most honest review - 1. Eyad runs TOP-NOTCH service and has one of the most beautiful spaces (high rise, best view of Miami wynwood/downtown AND balcony where you can sit outside when you’re waiting for color/highlights to work their magic). 2. He gave me the best haircut that my friends will validate how much I get stopped asking who does my hair?! I don’t change it now bc I get guys and girls stopping me … one led to even a short term relationship when the guy’s first line to me was “I really like your hair.” 3. ATTN blondes - he will do it perfect. He knows this as I was upfront and said for one quarter I needed to get my hair done elsewhere to save a bit $, NEVER will I do that again bc I hated who did my hair and I was the prodigal child that came back and said I can’t ever leave him. He fixed it and made it better than before. 4. You pay exactly for his talent. His staff too are great / he was busy one time and I NEEDED a touch up before an event and availability I had to go with another artist in his salon. He instructed him precisely how I have my hair colored and I could tell at the time I arrived for that appointment, he was well prepared and I was so pleased. 5. Are you still reading? You cannot beat Allex and his super knowledge of hair for a complete transformation - the right colour, cut, blowdry, even eyebrows. Open on the 7th floor to east, south and west views of all of Wynwood, so you get plenty of light to see your hair, whether colored or not. I was looking for a new hair stylist for months- I moved to Miami two years ago and previously had the same hair dresser for 7 years. I tried out a couple of salons in the area and all were fine but didn’t really feel like I found my ‘person’. I found Stubborn Hair online and scheduled a consultation. For reference I have dark natural hair but i love having blond ish hair (as blond as Asian hair could be). First, the space is gorgeous. It’s a loft space with lots of natural light. From the moment I met Allex - he was great. He asked me lots of questions of what I wanted, what my goal was, if I had a reference point, what my previous hair dresser did etc. Everything about the consult was a collaboration. I loved that he was willing to ask questions and ask what I wanted before letting me know what we should do. I say we- because truly was our decision on what we did. He laid out the plan of what we would do, how long it would take and how much it would cost.I made an appmt for the following Sunday (and yes ladies - they are open on Sundays!)Allex did not disappoint- the color of my hair came out amazing, my haircut looks so fresh - and the whole time, he kept me informed of what he was doing and what was coming up next.It’s hard finding someone that can take natural dark hair to light without damaging the hair let alone finding a stylist that is this collaborative with their clients. Needless to say, I think I’ve found my hair ‘person’.

The salon manager Ksenia is very welcoming and sends reminders prior to your appointment.The salon is on the 7th floor and you have to check-in at the front desk before you use the elevators. The process is simple. The building doesn’t offer valet services but there’s plenty street parking.I will defiantly keep on coming back for top notch cuts and the amazing grooming experience.

I had my second appointment with Allex today, and I was blown away once again. Allex truly goes above and beyond! The first time I had my hair done with him, I chose his salon due to its proximity and assumed it would be a regular blowout. It was NOT! It was the best blowout I’ve ever had. From the products he used to the attention and care he provided, I was honestly amazed. My hair looked incredible, even in the extreme Miami heat. He offered me drinks and snacks, and we had great conversation, making the time fly by.The second time I saw Allex, he was just as amazing. I had a less than stellar experience at a salon nearby and I ended up calling Stubborn Hair after finding some pics online to fix what the other salon did. The receptionist was great and understood exactly what I needed and booked me immediately.I met Anthony at the salon and gave him the rundown - he found a solution to get me back to feeling good about my color and also suggested some tips to keep it looking fresh. We decided on combo of lowlights, highlights, and a gloss. It looks so good and I am only upset I didn’t find this place first!Eddie came over after a quick chat with Anthony and asked if I wanted a haircut (yes!) - he was able to fit me in and I look like a new person with an amazing color and cut. It was my first time getting them, and while I think they did them fine, I woke up with some buyers remorse. Truly amazing experience. So I have extremely weird curly/wavy hair that is extremely stubborn to comb, brush and just control in general. When I arrived, I explained to Destiny that I need help to make my hair look better and still look. She took and brush a little to see how it was natural and knew immediately what to do. She asked me what type of style I prefer as I usually like to have a comb over due to my job but then let loose after I’m out of work. So she suggested we take off some from the back and clean it a little while even cutting forward to gradually leave the hair still long at the front and manageable. Anthony is an amazing colorist! He has not only been able to fix a bad highlight job and make my new color my most favorite look yet, but he takes the time to understand what you want and also gives his expert opinion on how he can tweak it to an even better look. I have fine hair and Ive never been able to trust a colorist to keep my hair healthy and looking amazing while being super transparent and honest on what he recommends and why. Ive referred all my friends to him and they had just as good of an experience!

I have been following Eddie and the team at Stubborn Hair around Miami for the past five years because I never want anyone else to do my hair ever again.I get Keratin treatments three to four times a year to combat the Miami humidity and Eddie has been able to keep my previously frizzy, heat damaged, curly hair sleek and incredibly healthy. My hair has never been so long and strong in my life.I have biracial hair that’s soft, frizzy, and curly and Eddie has been the only one in Miami Beach who actually has known how to properly manage it.The team is always 100% on time, super sweet, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. Came here about 2 weeks ago after I attempted to bleach my hair at home. I came in looking like a hot mess. I never felt judged or got a lecture--everyone at the salon just wanted to help find a solution.Anthony was my stylist and he is amazing. The color correction took a while and yes I felt a little antsy BUT it was 10000% worth it because 1. Anthony was able to fix even the most stubborn (no pun intended) patches and blend my hair to perfection and 2. The texture was only off for about a day! Anyone who has gone bleach blond knows it can be really tough on your strands. After a few days my hair felt silky smooth and I didnt even have to cut it. They use high quality product that doesnt damage your hair.The location is convenient, the studio is nice with great views, and I felt extremely taken care of (they made sure I was comfortable, offered food & drinks, etc).The pricing is fair and they are up front about it (no surprises!)Thanks again to Ksenia, Anthony, and Eddie! The best salon experience Ive ever had!! Eyad is amazing and really takes into consideration what you want and what your hair can handle. I came in with a overly warm balayage hoping to go blonder, and this man did the impossible. Not only is my hair now blonde, it is also healthy and has beautiful dimension and shine. Its something I didnt think would be achievable in 1 day. I’ve gotten my hair extensions done for 10+ years at various salons in LA and NY. After relocating to Miami, I was looking for a place where I could get new hair extensions. I am so happy I found Stubborn Hair!By far it’s the BEST HAIR EXTENSIONS service I’ve ever had. The salon owner Eyad is meticulous and a professional at what he does. I have gotten the service done twice and during the months I have had them on, NOT ONE single piece has fallen off – which is AMAZING and means that he’s bonded each piece really well (I get the I-tipped extensions). At previous experiences, around 30-40% of the pieces would fall off before my next appointment.At Stubborn, Eyad will help you buy the hair, match it to the color you have or the color you want. The quality of the hair is amazing too (which means you dont have to buy new hair every time). After all pieces are in, he will give you a haircut and style it. Usually the extensions last me around 4+ months (all depends how much you take care of it/brush it regularly and how fast your own hair grows, etc). People are shocked when I tell them I have hair extensions because they look so natural. Also, as a bonus, they are super nice and easy going.I could not be happier with Eyad and Stubborn Hair.See you soon!

Zuhair gave me a hair cut a few weeks back, he is brand new to Miami. I am getting married in a few weeks and was worried. Zuhair calmed my nerves and really listened to what I wanted. Finally after 15 years of living in Miami I found somebody who actually knows how to do my hair right!I’m blonde and I have super fine Eastern European hair.No one in Miami seemed to understand how to cut or color it perfectly except Eddie! Eddy is the man! Ive been going to Eddy for over 5 years now since I moved back from NYC and London, cities that are obviously known for style and do not settle for mediocrity when it comes to haircuts. I went once when he was stationed on South Beach and became a disciple. I now live in Houston and still get my haircut when Im back in 305. I have longer hair so I get scissor cuts. I can say this - his haircut stay amazing from day 1 until the next cut. Thats hard to do in my experience.Not only are his cuts amazing, hes a truly genuine person who smiles and laughs all the time. I went here today in needs of a root touch up. I am asian and have natural black hair but have it fully dyed blonde. It has probably been 3 months since i last got it bleached. The place i went to for my initial bleaching left me with a patchy lift, some parts were platinum other a full blonde. Anthony and Destiny quickly assessed my hair and went right to fixing it with the goal of platinum blonde in mind. The environment is super comfortable, Anthony was very informative about the process and what to do to keep my hair as healthy as possible. Destiny was super she made sure i was comfortable the whole time and overall super friendly. Definitely going here anytime i need a touch up or when i want a hair color change. They really think of the customer during the whole process keeping my hairs health as a top priority.
