    Wow what an amazing experience! Roxy cut and styled my hair, and I have never gotten the curls that Roxy was able to style under all my frizz. Not only was the final output amazing, the whole process was very positive and I have recommended Curl Whisper to all my curl friends. Roxy took her time to teach me about my hair, from products, to styling, to how to maintain and make my hair styling last. I have been to plenty to curl experts before, but Roxy took the cake. The salon itself was also very nice and clean, which I appreciated, everyone was very friendly.

    This salon is GREAT. Everything was so clean and everyone so friendly. They don’t only cut and wash but they teach you how to care for your curls. Stephanie was AMAZING. I took my 12 yr old daughter and she was so patient and explained everything to us in detail and taught her a routine to care for her curls. Her hair was dry and dull with damage and she brought them back to life. She was VERY knowledgeable & professional but sweet and patient all at the same time. I highly recommend her she was exceptional.

    I had an amazing experience in The Curl Whisperer today with Andrea. As a wavy woman who loves her hair, I’m normally a bit scared to cut it with someone new to me. Today I arrived a bit shy, but Andrea walked me through all the process with care, a huge smile, and all the patience in the world.I highly recommend her and the curl whispered.     UPDATE: Did my WEDDING HAIR with NEYDA for my Wedding in Jamaica Feb 1,2025. I did it Tuesday & it lasted until SATURDAY. I was in the pool & everything. I would trust no1 else to do my wedding hair but them- i wanted my hair naturally curly, because curly natural hair is formal & beautiful for special occassions !!Best curly hair salon Ive ever been to. NEYDA is the BEST- hands down. She transformed my hair and I really do feel so confident in my hair. I have recommended them to everyone. I went for the first time a week ago and I was INCREDIBLY impressed. I have zero complaints, except I wish they existed all over the US, in all states.I will literally fly to Miami to get my hair done here. I live in North Carolina currently.They believe in the mantra that I do, which is , to embrace wearing your hair in its naturally curly state.This place is such a niche, I could just go on & on.I dont trust anywhere else with my hair and nobody styles it like they do. I went once to Neyda & I will be going back to her onward.Neyda loves what she does. It shows. I drove 1.5 hour from Fort Lauderdale for this appointment in rush hour traffic, taking the express way to make it to a 9am appointment & it was WORTH IT.I called to let them know I was stuck in traffic. The receptionist was extremely polite from the get go, informed me of all the polices, answered all my questions- their customer service is SUPERB imo.Luckily they were able to still see me, but again they COMMUNICATED at every step of the way. Before she put in any product, she told me, she even suggested I take pictures of it, she guided me along what she was doing to my hair at each step, she made me feel very comfortable and just actually confident going to a salon to style my natural curly hair. I got the finger coiling done & my hair felt SO LIGHT- like it had never before. I still get compliments & its been a week later. Strangers stop me asking me what products I use, how I got my hair this way & where. I told them NEYDA lol. She TRANSFORMED my hair. I never thought my hair could FEEL or LOOK like this. She didnt try to sell me like some annoying hairdressers do, and because of this, it made me want to come back and do more! She educated me on my hair, all while not being pushy or judgemental or lets be frank- seeing my curls as hard to manage or not as pretty. Neyda is an absolute asset to the Curl Whisperer. Again, my only wish is it was in the state I live in and not only in Miami. Every other salon either wants to blow dry, silk press, keratin treat my curly hair or only color and cut it. The Curl Whisperer is certified in 4 different curly haircuts ( no other salon Ive seen like this- probably only in NYC & I’ve been to deva salons in NYC & curly whisperer is superior to me) , color - which they are experts at also, and styling as wash & style or finger coiling. Everyones hair at the salon looks amazing- which is a great tell tale sign.Listen, if you have naturally curly hair- dont waste your time - go to them. They are the only salon that Ive been to in my life that knows how to style my type of curly hair. Every other salon else damages it or complains or doesnt know what they are doing. Plus they are SUPER AFFORDABLE. I will be back every time I am visting south florida. There is no other place like the Curl Whisperer.     I’ve been coming to the Curl Whisperer for over a decade now. Silvana and her team are professionals who take care of their clients well and educate us on how best to take care of our hair outside of the salon. Over the years I’ve gotten a variety of curly cuts, treatments, and colored my hair. I’ve always been extremely satisfied with the services I’ve used.My hair is so important to me, especially after I lost patches of it from stress and health issues, that I place my trust in Silvana as she’s always made me feel taken care of and beautiful. She was the only stylist I trusted to give me bangs (which I love)! I’ve also had Ariadna and Neyda take care of me, both of whom also did a fantastic job and made me feel great 🥰

    Front desk staff and management were very friendly and professional. My wife had an appointment with Samantha Suarez and wow she came out amazing!     I was hesitant at first because of the price, but you pay for more than just a haircut. I was given tips on how to best care for my hair and the best products to use. Pamela was informative and great. My curls have never looked better. Definitely worth it!

    No one has ever cut my hair as good as the boss ladies at Curl Whisperer. They really know their stuff and don’t use a generic haircut on guys like the cookie cutter barbers in town. If you’re a dude with curly hair, you best save your money and just get the best haircut of your life here, cos let’s be honest: no barber in town has a single clue on how to style curly hair. Always worth it and I always leave feeling like I just got the best haircut of my life.

    I was nervous going here because natural curly hair in the past was shunned when walking into a salon. But, I grew tired of maintaining my Lucious tendrils myself. Upon arrival, the setting is everything I’ve been searching for. It’s an Upscale designed salon with upscale service. An assortment of beverages from tea to coffee to a mimosa are offered. Sam listened to my regimen likes and dislikes. Educated me on really thoughtful tactics for my curl type. The end result was spectacular and shocking. All the trauma I’ve experienced with my African American curly hair to now experiencing such a warm nurturing educated place like this I am leaving happy and definitely returning. This is my new salon for curly hair. I recommend this place 1000% too all my mixed African American girls in miami this place knows what they’re doing.

    As soon as I walked in, the receptionist greeted me with warmth, attentiveness, and a genuinely inviting demeanor. I was amazed by the number of curly-headed clients in the salon chairs, and many of the stylists were curly girls as well.Despite Roxany being a junior stylist with straight hair, she did not disappoint. As soon as we discussed my desired shape, I felt comfortable. I’ve had curly cuts before, so I had an idea of what to expect. For reference, I have a 3b curl pattern with hair past my shoulders.I was honest about previously cutting my own hair and my willingness to trim where needed to achieve bigger hair. Roxany walked me through what would be covered, set expectations, and assured me that if we needed to cut more or make adjustments afterward, we could. I never felt like I couldn’t speak up, ask additional questions, or that I was being pressured to buy products.I likely would have purchased some, but since I was flying back to NY, the sizes weren’t TSA-approved. However, Roxany suggested I take pictures and explained how each product was used. In the end, the $140 was well worth it.

    Such a nice salon and great experience for my daughter. Very educational and was teaching her how to people take care of her curls based on her kind of hair and desired outcome like definition. The location is up a narrow staircase so if it’s your first time you can get lost. Would recommend having more product inventory. Was unable to leave with product in hand. Overall great experience and worth the cost!

    I love the Curl Whisperer so much. All of the workers are so kind and the atmosphere within the salon was great. I got my hair cut by Steph and got highlights done by Pam. They were amazing and so educational. They made sure I knew everything there is to know about hair care. I will definitely come more consistently because of them. I love my hair and will 100% come back to those two stylists.

    If you have natural curly hair and want to rock your natural hair this is the place to go. If you are transitioning to your natural hair, this is the place to go. This place is so much more than a hair salon. The ladies there are specialists styling, cutting and treating curly hair. They use great products and teach you about them. Not only will you get the exact haircut you need and want, but you will learn to style and treat your hair, and you will learn about the products that are good for your hair and you can also buy them there. It is a school of curls. Not to mention the enviroment is great and you will totally leave this place happy with the way you look and relaxed.My stylist is Roxany and she is amazing, gentle, caring and really understands what your hair needs. Most importantly she respects your wishes about length. This is the second time I cut my hair with her and I will not go anywhere else ever again. I have found my people!

    My first time going to a curly salon and I will most certainly be going back! I take fairly decent care of my curls but this place was so educational throughout the process, it informed me that I could be doing better. Received a dry cut, gray coverage, wash, and style. My curls have never been so light and bouncy and shiny like they were! Its a bit pricey in comparison to a general salon, however this is a specialist, and youre paying for specialist work and knowledge. Totally worth the price in education alone! Everyone there was fantastic!!!!

    I had haircut with Ariadna and it was the absolute best salon experience i have ever had. She was so kind and knowledgeable, she taught me so much about my hair and completely transformed my curls. I love the cut she gave me and the choice of products she used that i will now be using. It was my first time meeting her and at the end of my hair appointment she gave me a hug, such a kind and unbelievably talented hair stylist and Im so grateful to have found her!

    Always leave very pleased. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ive gone with different stylist every time (my choice for last min availability) and Im always pleased with the results and the education they give me on my curls. This time I went it for a cut (which included a wash) to add volume and shape my curls. I added a before and after pictures.

    I traveled from north Florida to get my haircut done at the curl whisperer. What a beautiful salon! They offered me complimentary champagne, wine, coffee mimosas… like what!!!! I was so excited, then my stylist Samantha came over and started my consultation and carefully and patiently explained the whole process. She answered my questions through out the service and gave me the hair of my dreams! I love this salon and Samantha!

    This place is amazing. Silvana C. is remarkable. Im a natural, kinky, curly girl with combo 3c/4a-b mostly but there is an unruly patch of 4c that drives me batty. Silvana understood and walked me through the steps I need to add/change in my regimen for care. She trimmed my hair the devacut way and Im completely happy. Even though she has straight hair, she is knowledgeable about my type of hair and I trusted her implicitly almost immediately. She recognized I didnt have enough growth for the years Ive been natural and is helping me correct those issues to improve length retention. Im grateful I found her. Her product prices are competitive with online, so I bought them there. Im a client as long as I live here. Thank you!

    First time visiting the Curl Whisperer (South Miami). They are all amazing! I loved Roxany she was nice and gave me an amazing haircut. I loved that Roxany and Sharon were telling me how to properly take care of my curls and recommended products based on my hair needs. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I will soon come back!! :)I went again, but to the Coral Gables location to get a hair updo for my sisters wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Emily. She is nice and thanks to her I look gorgeous.

    I came Curl Whisperer for the 1st time a year ago. I wasnt really sure what my hair needed but I thought they could help me.It was a great experience and I was 100% sold on getting curly cuts from then on.Unfortunately I tried a different hair place for my second curly cut and I wasnt happy.I went back to Curl Whisperer for them to fix my mess and learn more about styling my hair.Im so happy with my cut and the whole experience.The drinks, the consultation, the atmosphere!     I cannot say enough about this salon. I took my stepson here from out of town to get a special cut from them because I heard that they are the best, and without a shadow of a doubt they definitely are. They turned his crazy wild hair into a tamed and clean cut haircut. He truly left there with a much higher self-esteem and he had a self confidence that I can’t even speak of.

    My Favourite curly hair salon in Miami! I hava been three times they were who I went to for my first big chop, my first hair cut after growing my hair out, and I recently got a consulation for colour and a balayage with them! Everyone working here is so professional and kind and are always making sure you are comfortable! I got my first hair cut after growing my hair out with Ariadna I came in with a few photos from pinterest of girls with a similar hair type to me with the hair cut I wanted to go for, Ariadna ensure I received that every step of the way and explained how we would reach it . I also love that when they style your hair they tell you the products they use + how to use then to get the effect they give you! which is a plus for me! In my most recent visit with them Iwas taken care of by Neyda in which she is truly a Master with dyeing my curls . For my consulation and visit I had pictures of the effect/ balayage that I wanted and how I wanted it to look and she did just that! Truly a wonderful experience every time I am here !

    This salon was where my true natural curly hair journey begun. I was taught how to wash, cut, style and care for my hair. The salon isn’t exactly cheap but the time, expertise and the care they share is well worth it. My mom and sister have also gone. I credit them for helping me completely regain my curls after years of chemical treatment and heat damage. Amazing place!

    Lovely place and clean. It took me some time to find because I didn’t realize it was up a flight of stairs and not on the ground level.Staff is very friendly and professional.My stylist was Johana and she did an excellent job. My hair looks and feels incredible, I can’t stop looking at it and playing with it!

    Pamela is my go to. Always always perfection when she does my hair. I’ve been seeing her for a few years now and I drive 45 minutes each way just for her. It’s so tough to find a great curly salon but this is the one. So glad I found it. It is always clean and welcoming. I highly recommend.

    Amazing! I had a wonderful experience with Yanisel. She was patient, detailed and professional. The whole staff is very attentive and you can tell they enjoy working together. Facility is clean. This experience was for me and my daughter and I left completely satisfied. Our hair was in such great need of this TLC. Their products are wonderful. You can definitely tell the difference right away. They also train you on the products and routine that you should continue with at home. I definitely recommend this to any one that has either wavy and curly hair. Great service! Thank you!💇💆🤷❤

    This was my first time at a curly salon. I’m so glad I pulled the trigger and went. Elisa was wonderful and informative. She was patient and answered all the questions I had. I got a Rezo cut and my I have never been so happy about my curls in my life. Waking up the next day, my curls looked even better and I did not have to do any refreshing. I will definitely return.

    Such a wonderful place very comfy and homey feeling. The stylist there are very knowledgeable and experts at cutting curly hair. They have all the products even probably more products than you ever imagined existed for here and especially curly hair. You must make a $30 deposit to hold your reservation. My son grew out his hair for 3 years but a lot of it towards the ends were dead since he lives up and Rhode Island the winters are brutal. My fiance and I took Him to the Crow whispers and we were not disappointed.

    Loved this place. I was welcomed with a robe and a water. They spoke to me throughout the entire process about how to properly wash and hydrate my hair, why certain products were good or not, and debunked a lot of the curly myths I thought to be true. I learned a lot from these ladies and my hair has been curling better ever since my cute. They made it look very symmetrical and I cant wait until it starts growing

    I loved the Curl Whisperer. They were very accommodating as soon as I got there and I was seen almost immediately. I have been to salons where I have been told I couldnt get a certain haircut because of my curly hair, but not here. I felt so welcomed and the staff genuinely wanted me to learn about my curly hair. They talked me through each step and allowed me to take notes. In the end, I loved my final results and have implemented what they taught me into my hair care routine. I will definitely be going back to the Curl Whisperer.

    The curl whisperer salon helped me understand my curly hair. I have struggled and ironed my hair for over 40 years. They not only cut my hair but patiently taught me how to style curly hair. It has made my life easier and less stressful. What impressed me the most about this salon was my mother who was visiting from GA. Wanted to try the curl whisperer. The stylist could have easily cut her hair and taken her money but she examined her hair and told her that if she cut it, she would cut the curl out, that her hair was straight at the hair shaft but curled as it got longer. She said any beautician could cut it and it wouldnt be as expensive. She wouldnt even accept a tip.

    ALL I have to say is that I left that place yesterday in joyful tears!! Yanisel cut my hair. She made the experience wonderful and gave me a lot of valuable hair lessons. I left knowing how to correctly shampoo and maintain my hair. The price is steep but its worth it. My hair came out 10x better than I expected. I wear my hair down a lot, and my curls were starting to lack but with her guidance my curls literally bounced back! This is now my go to.

    When I walked in I thought there is no way this hair could be fixed! Well, this has been an experience to write about. Yanisel is amazing! What she can do with curly hair is a miracle! She cuts, diagnoses and gives you step by step instructions on how to use the products - not just using them and thats it! No! She actually tells you HOW TO USE the products so you dont go out and purchase purchase purchase!     My whole family is curly. We went there for consultation first and how honest and informative the consultant was very refreshing.     Phenomenal haircut and attentive staff, but my hair color came out so incorrect I honestly want to cry. It was my first time getting my hair colored and it’s turned out to be such a distressing experience.EDIT: I sent an email about the haircolor and the owner was super nice and helpful. She and my original hairdresser met me a couple weeks afterwards so that I could say exactly what I wanted and how we could fix it. They were both so wonderful about it, completely makes up for my initial frustration from my first visit.

    If you have curly hair and you fight with it constantly, then you have to schedule a visit with the Curl Whisperer. She has worked magic on my hair. She explains everything that shes doing and shows you step-by-step everything that you should do to maintain your curls. Shes so knowledgeable! I have not gone back to a regular salon. I have had curly hair my whole life and I got it from my fathers side of the family... so clearly my mother didnt understand how to tame the beast or where to take me to have the beast tamed.I used to always get my hair cut by people who work with straight hair, as this is how people are trained to cut hair. Wash it, detangle and SNIP SNIP SNIP 5 INCHES OF HAIR OFF AND THEN I LOOK LIKE A POODLE the next day because of course... my hair shrinks. Not to mention every time I got a haircut, every single hair stylist would say Wow the person who cut your hair last time did not do this evenly... and then again... and again.. and again.. Oh my god then WHO does know how to cut my hair evenly? Apparently everyone is terrible at cutting my hair? This makes no sense...This was the first time I got a hair cut and didnt get 4 inches chopped off of my length. They really gave me beautiful layers that framed my face wonderfully. I was like Finally! People who understand my hair!!! Everything they said and did made me think WOW they really do get me!The process: They cut your hair dry and crazy looking with bed-head and all. Then they wash, detangle, put product in it, and then diffuse it. After all that they cut it again so it has a perfect finished look. Im definitely going again.

    Where have you been all my life??? I have tried just about everything with my wavy, frizzy wild hair. I gave up on blow drying it years ago and I have used every hydration deep conditioning creme, gel and oil you can imagine. But come to find out, it was not the products but the techniques that I was doing wrong. They really took the time to teach me and answer my questions. I left the Curl Whisperer a true believer! This place has not only given me the look I’ve been searching for but has given me the freedom to know I can look great without all those chemicals or hours of blow drying!!     I have medium length 3b curls and have come here twice for a DevaCut and left very satisfied. Yanisel (now a senior stylist) and Arianne (jr.stylist) are great at cutting curly hair and offer helpful suggestions throughout the process. It took about an hour and a half for a cut and I had to arrive with cleaned, loose, dry hair. (once the main cutting is done they will shampoo and condition as a second step. I cant comment on the salons other services such as hair coloring) The salon space is cozy but with plenty of room to move around and they offer tea/coffee during your wait. Parking is either on the street or in a large parking garage a block away ($1-$2 per hour). The salon is on the second floor which doesnt seem obvious out front with all the construction going on.
