Iā€™m just dealing with everything going on with work she will come in with open hands very awesome personality come to find out the barber girl that I go to name hi hi she wasnā€™t there so the other girl that looks like a Barbie she took me right away and she gave me a shoulder massage hot towel over my face and it really brightened my mood up and I just want to recommend this to anybody thatā€™s looking for a good barbershop to go to They donā€™t hassle you about the price is going on in your personal business and itā€™s a drama free environment definitely welcome in.

    After searching high and low for a barbershop that fit precisely what I was looking for, a shop that I could really come to trust and enjoy, I found Floydā€™s 99 Barbershop. This process of finding the right shop did indeed take some time. That said, the ragamuffin on top of my head got pretty wild. šŸ˜ŠThe initial booking process couldnā€™t have been easier. Their extensive, well-presented website allowed me to view staff profiles, qualifications, specialties, etc. Iā€™m very big on personal interactions, so I loved that I could get to know a bit about everyone before going in or even booking my very first appointment.Long story short, I selected the classic ā€œFloydā€™s Cutā€ for the ragamuffin and decided to add on my lifeā€™s first ā€œClassic Shaveā€ by a barber. (Pro Tip: Iā€™m 45 years old ā€“ I now highly recommend every man treats himself to such an experience at least once.) After reading every one of the staff profiles, I kinda vibed with Rachel F. more so than the others, so I quickly and easily secured my appointment.First off, the shop has this absolutely awesome old-school gasoline alley industrial garage type feel to it. Right down to the fact that I waltzed right in through an open garage door on my appointment day. The front of house staff were cool, friendly and welcoming. Although I arrived a little early, Rachel F. was quickly there to greet me and welcome me back to her chair. We had a quick discussion on what I thought worked well for me (#6 clipper guard on the sides, but longer on the top since my hair is thick and I need it to lay down ā€“ Iā€™m not into the ā€œspikyā€ look that shorter cuts inevitably leave me with). Rachel F. took it all in, asked a few more clarifying questions and then got down to final details. I, truthfully, told her that Iā€™d leave the rest up to her skill and expertise. And let me tell you, oh my, she did not disappoint! And kudos to her for not once fearing the ragamuffin. LOL! After my appointment, when I got back in my truck, I snuck in a quick selfie and sent it to a few friends and family. The feedback was every bit as positive as I felt. However, weā€™re forgetting about the shaveā€¦Somehow, Rachel F. shined even more during the shave. She was efficient, her touch was light and very, very experienced. Although I booked the Classic Shave, she quickly recognized that my skin was reacting a bit sensitively to a straight-edge razor (Iā€™ve only ever used electrics in my life), so she only did the Express Shave service instead ā€“ a lower cost service. Thatā€™s, by far, the most fitting hallmark of a great shop that truly cares about their clients and just how extremely conscientious Rachel F. is with her work. She told me how my skin was reacting at each step, what she was doing to begin mitigating it and how I could build more resilience in the future. I could not possibly recommend Rachel F.ā€™s services more highly!From the first moment I walked into Floydā€™s 99 Barbershop, I felt like part of the family. From the well-themed garage feel, to the amazing art on the walls (Andy Warhol, from my own hometown, was featured!) to the affable, kind staff, to highly skilled barbers like Rachel F., this shop is utterly incomparable. I think the finest compliment I can offer is the fact that I was so vehemently happy with my first visit that Iā€™ve already booked another appointment for next week! If this is how they treat you on your very first visit, just imagine what your experience will be like as an established client. Iā€™m already looking forward to it; Iā€™ll be a fixture here for years to come.

    Needed a beard trim recently and stopped in to Floydā€™s. I am very particular with my beard and donā€™t trust too many people to do it, but Jason came through and exceeded my expectations. He was very personable and made the whole experience calming, relaxing, and entertaining. I can tell that he brings a lot of experience to the table, working with an array of beard and hair styles from young children to the elderly, and I could tell from the second I sat in the chair that I was in good hands.     Iā€™m gonna start this review off with Floyds is an absolute amazing place, they are very trans and queer friendly and Meg is the best person to go to for those in our community. About two months ago, she gave me a mullet that I adored, I absolutely loved how it looked on me and I got many compliments at work asking me where I got my haircut. I let it grow out for 2 months and i was way overdue for a trim. I booked an appointment on friday august 10th and it said she was booked out for the month thats fine ill take a chance and go with someone else. Horrible experience i should of waited until she had a next free spot. I was given Ronda, an older lady who absolutely ruined my experience. I asked for a mullet and this lady absolutely ruined my hair, i asked for 2 inches off of my bangs and she left me with so little bang i can not style them at all. She also almost nicked my ear with the clippers, Scared me so I jerked my head. What I have right now is not a mullet. I have no idea what it is, but I will never go back to her. I donā€™t know if her performance was based on being straight up homophobic or if she genuinely has no idea what sheā€™s doing . Any other stylist is better than her. Thank you for making me look stupid Ronda.

    Iā€™ve been going to Floydā€™s and seeing Jason for over 5 years now, and donā€™t have a single bad thing to say. Jason is a fantastic professional and has been able to accommodate any request Iā€™ve had in his chair, and has had great recommendations any time Iā€™ve asked.Along with the actual haircuts, Iā€™ve never had any issues with Jason or any of the shop staff with having to wait or missing an appointment time.     I have been going to Floydā€™s since I moved to Orlando over a year ago. It just happened to be the closest place to my house and I just happened to be paired up with Jason. Fast forward almost two years later and I have not gone anywhere else to get my haircut nor have I gotten my haircut by anyone other than Jason.Floydā€™s has a decent atmosphere and extremely friendly staff, but the main reason I keep returning is because Jason is an absolute master at his craft. Never in my life have I had my own barber that I keep returning to but I canā€™t help but keep coming back to Jason who never misses. In addition to the ridiculous skill this man has with a blade, he has unmatched humor and charisma that makes the haircut so much more enjoyable than either sitting in silence or having mundane small talk. I will never stop getting my haircut at Floydā€™s, thank you Jason!

    10/10 would recommend Keith. My son is very sensitive about haircuts and has a lot of fear around them after he got cut by a different person and Keith was amazing. He went out of his way to make sure he was comfortable and really helped relieve his fears. He did an beautiful job and my son is now saying that he trusts only Keith to cut his hair.My husband also gets his hair cut here by Kimberlee and always looks extra handsome when his hair is cut by her.

    Rhonda did an amazing job on my hair color! Itā€™s absolutely stunning and I couldnā€™t be happier with my results. I came in for a color consultation and she was actually able to fit me in that day. The color turned out better than I could have have anticipated.     Stacy P is the bomb! Not only is she a great colorist and stylists, she is a great listener! Iā€™m gonna say this twice ladies she is a GREAT LISTENER! I said it twice because if you have long hair and you want it kept long without too much being taken off or you want a partial highlight and you want it to look natural she listens .. There is nothing worse telling a stylist what you want and then doing something completely different. If you are new in town, had a bad experience or just want a change?     I moved to Orlando from the Tampa area about a year ago and have been looking around for a good barber. After trying a few places in the area and not being completely satisfied I came across Floydā€™s after a friend recommended it to me. Today I had Ryan B cut my hair and I can definitely say I will be regular costumer! Really nice guy and takes his time to make sure you are completely satisfied with your hair cut!     I originally went to the South Orange office but didnā€™t have such a great experience with Luis the last time even though Iā€™ve gone to him several times. I wanted to give Floydā€™s another shot so I went to the Curry Road store. Jonathan is amazing. He suggested a new cut and shaped up my beard and even sold me on a hair product. What a difference. Honestly loved the experience and have gone back twice already and planning to go back again after my cruise. Jonathan is full of energy and enthusiasm. He really listens to what you want to try and no attitude at all. I would HIGHLY recommend him. I left him a nice big time every time. Heā€™s worth it

    Havent been in a barber shop for years. Made an appointment at Floyds99 for a head shave and a classic shave, and what an experience!! Rachel W was my barber and she indeed raised to my expectations. Shes got what I call barber hands, that steady, smooth, no hesitation movement that shows that she knows what shes doing. Her attention to detail was exceptional!!!! In addition, I am not a talkative person, and Rachel W respected that. It was my first time at Floyds and I am going back.     I made an appointment ahead of time, which likely wasnt needed. My stylist, Hihi, was quick and accommodating. A quick adjustment was made during the haircut to snip a bit that always causes issues for me. A shoulder massage was included as part of the treatment. I left feeling rejuvenated and like a whole new person.

    Ive been to this location a few times (before as a walk in, and recently with appointments) and Ive always had a good experience. As soon as you walk in, you will see all the staff wearing masks, and even during my haircut, I was allowed to wear my mask for 95% of it (had to take it off during parts to shave the sides). Considering that I have several high-risk family members, I definitely appreciated them following those protocols.In regards to the customer service, the staff were friendly and inquired about the services that I would like. Ryan B was my barber, and he did a good job of both cutting my hair and asking about specific lengths and what tools he could use (for example, if it was okay to use a straight razor for parts). I appreciated his concern and the quality of his work.The only (slight) negative is that this establishment is slightly more expensive than my last barbershop, however, you certainly get what you pay for here.     Nice place to get a haircut. I get a fade and my barber does a good job. They use hot shaving cream for your beard which is cool. A little on pricey side but worth the extra money. Recommend a try out for sure.

Dude has attention to detailed, does really awesome skin fades, fades, shavesā€¦donā€™t matter. He kills it with a set of clippers or a blade. He also has an awesome personality and is a pleasure to chat with while getting a cut. Dont matter what the dude does..heā€™s a professional wrestler and a barber. Book him or be put on the list.

Staff is professional, salon is clean, environment is fun.     Delanie has been my go to hairstylist for about a year now and she always does amazing work. She treats her clients with respect and gives them the best service anyone could ever receive. If you know what you want from her and you bring in a picture she will replicate it exactly as you wish. 10 out of 5 stars for Delanie! As for Floyds shop location, I have only been there once since she moved from great clips. All I can say is I love the service and the extras you receive for getting a haircut, the employees are amazing and the products are top of the line!
