My hair is growing in from many years of coloring. Not sure yet what I will do with that, but I needed a great haircut. It was a little past my shoulders, and much of it was frazzled. I saw Joanna at the Edgewater location in college park. She was very helpful and gave me plenty of time to discuss what I wanted. Joanna is a professional, and she made me look and feel like a new person. My hair is fabulous, and has body I hadnt seen in a long time. I am thrilled with it, and everyone is giving compliments. The salon is clean and gorgeous. It has a warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff is awesome. Joanna showed me around first, and they offer facials and other great services. I based my decision to try them on the other positive reviews.Matthew Michaels is my new favorite hair salon! Thank you Joanna!

I’ve been going to this salon for 5 years and it’s just amazing! The products are great, the costumer service is amazing (wine, tea, snacks included) and just amazing staff. The employees speak cheerfully about the owner, and I’ve never left disappointed.I’ve had a variety of the stylists and they are all really great! What I love is that you can choose the level of experience of the stylist you like (or according to budget) and each person has their own unique specialties! I’ve brought friends and they then their children. Such a great place if you’re willing to save up :)

No one had a negative thing to say about Joanna in the results. Everyone raved about this stylist.I found her at this comfortable, really great, welcoming salon: Matthew Michaels Salon Experience in College Park. Everything that others have reported in their good reviews about this great salon are accurate and dont need repeating. My review is really about the stylist.Joanna is an exceptional, experienced hair cutter, stylist and colorist. She even has a strong following just for coloring. The skill set that sets her apart from her peers is working with curly hair.Joanna has terrific skills as a stylist for curly hair and when those skills are combined together with a Diva Cut you always have skillful, accomplished, expert, and very professional results.My hair has never looked better!Recently we moved to the West Coast of Florida about 2 hours away from Orlando and Joanna. I still have my appointments with Joanna. The drive is worth every minute it takes. I wouldnt think of changing away from Joanna.

I have been a client of Joanna for years. She does an amazing job with high and low lights. I always love how it looks! Also, the keratin treatments she does works like a charm for the Florida humidity! She is extremely knowledgeable and has guided me through the times I have had issues with my hair( thinning, etc) . She also is great with her recommendations for products that actually work! I would highly recommend Joanna as a stylist!!

He provides the most wonderful customer service and makes your appointment all about you and your relaxation. Hairdressers really do double as therapists and should be paid for this as well! Lol He never overbooks and is always able to work with me and my complex schedule. He helps me feel good about myself and takes awesome care of me. I def would highly recommend him!

I LOVE LOVE this salon. I am a super picky person when it comes to hair! Calee my hair stylist is super sweet and knows her stuff. She worked with me and explained to me all my options very patiently. Ever since I have been getting my hair with her I get so many compliments on my hair. Not only is my stylist Calee the best but the salon is so calming and welcoming. All the staff is super friendly and it feels like a family as soon as you walk the door. This salon is definitely a must try .. trust me you won’t go anywhere else.. oh FYI they also give you a little massage 💆🏻‍♀️🥰🥰🥰

Every once in a while I decide to do something unique to my hair to cheer myself up and this time was a PHENOMENAL experience with Johnathan Moore. I first reached out to him and asked if he could do pink hair... yup, you heard me, pink hair worthy of a real life fairy or mermaid! Johnathan was game for the challenge and we communicated extensively so he could make certain I knew what sort of pinks could be achieved with him and to make certain my desires lined up with this. Yall, he straight up CREATED the actual formulas for each of the 4 different pinks he painted into the strands of my hair. 😱 He was such an artist!Prior to my appointment, he was up front about the fact that this would be a longer process and during it he was polite, a wonderful conversationalist, kept me updated on the timing of each stage, and made me comfortable with sparkling waters and snacks. I was there for 5 hours and enjoyed the entire experience! The best part.....my hair came out even MOORE (see what I did there 😉) FANTASTIC than I had even dared to hope. My gorgeous pink hair makes me feel such joy each time I look in the mirror and thats what a great hair stylist can do for you. They can recharge your self confidence and pull your joy to the surface. 😁 Johnathan gave me that experience and I couldnt be happier with the result!! I HIGHLY recommend him and will use him in the future for sure!

Natalie is so kind, shes funny and easy to talk to. She always helps me decide how I want to change up my look, and I know I can trust her to tell me the truth. Its very obvious that the rest of the team is just as amazing - I did have a poor experience with a receptionist, and Matthew actually called me himself to follow up and make sure that I was okay afterward. This one by far is the best and Natalie is so professional knowledgeable and friendly. She knows what shes doing very detailed and precise cut. My first time into the salon was just as salons were opening up after being shut down for Covid-19. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the salon and professionalism of the entire staff. I came to the salon looking for a stylist that knew how to work with my thick curly hair. Johnathan was perfect. He took the time to listen to my concerns and problems with my hair. He cut, colored and styled my hair just the way I like it. He recommended products that would control the fizzy in the Florida humidity. Love everything about the new place, starting with the location in such a charming neighborhood, the ample parking, and the warm, inviting entry. Great changing room, and getting to the heart of it, the stylists have a great area to work in, and the shampoo area is spacious. I havent had opportunity to try the facial experience yet, but time for that in the future. Of course, I couldnt ask for a better stylist than Willie and assistance from Peyton is always a cheerful bonus. So relaxing to share a bit of fun conversation with fellow stylist and guests as well! I’ve been going to Matthew Michael’s Aveda salon in Winter Park for three years now. And fell in love with Willie’s work ever since. He is a true professional and makes my hair look fabulous every single time I visit!I recently visited their new location in College Park and loved it. I am so impressed with the service I received today. I found this salon and Shelley Simonazzi by the excellent reviews online, and I was not disappointed at all. At Matthew Michaels hair salon, I found the best stylist I have ever have. Michael calls his clients guests. They present a warm and welcoming place. Their sanitation procedures are over the top. Michael does require face masks, but he will dab a fragrance on your mask. How good lavender and peppermint smell. And the salon is cavernous, so I am more than 20 feet away from any guest. If you want the best hair, you need to visit Michaels salon. It has a soulful and loving atmosphere!

The stylist Shelley really helped me feel comfortable she’s so warm and friendly ...I decided to go for a cut and style that first day and felt comfortable enough to go back a week later for highlights - she helped me come up with a cut and highlight that would help ease me into having hair I’d enjoy .Shelley suggested some hair products that have kept my hair soft and shiny. It’s clean in the store and lots of precautions are taken seriously. Your temp is taken upon checking in.I felt pampered and so relaxed . I have been going to the Winter Park location for the past 3 years and was so excited when they opened another excellent salon in College Park! The stylists are professional and talented, I learn new tips for styling my hair each time I go, and I always walk out feeling great about my hair. This salon is so professional and relaxing. I’d probably just come for a shampoo if I could because it’s just pure heaven. Nicole cuts my hair and she does a great job, not often do you vibe so well with a stylist that they not only cut your hair well, but cut it so it grows exactly as you want it to. I am thrilled with my experience at this salon. I was in town visiting family and spontaneously decided it was time to get my hair cut after a year of growing it out. I called and got an appointment for just a few minutes later on the same day. It was easy to park and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I could tell that many precautions were being taken to protect the health of the staff and the clients. The waiting area, salon, and restroom were all clean and everyone worse masks.Then I met Joanna. She did a thorough consultation about how I usually cut and style my hair and gave me excellent advice. Even though I didn’t come prepared with a picture or even a clear idea other than “short”, Joanna was patient, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. She gave me several suggestions to suit my low maintenance and active lifestyle and we settled on an exciting new style for me. Joanna was very friendly and we chatted while she worked on my hair. She also gave me many pointers about how to keep up the style and recreate it at home.I also had my eyebrows waxed. Usually I am very red and puffy for several hours after, but Joanna must be an expert because it was much more comfortable than usual and I didn’t have any of my usual post-wax pain. Also, I have a scar on one eyebrow that I have always thought made it hard to do my eyebrows nicely, but Joanna showed me how to work with what I’ve got and maintain the look at home. Joanna was so incredibly helpful and generous- she even took my picture and let me charge my phone for a few minutes before I left!Checkout was quick and I loved that I could leave a tip with my card (yay contactless!). Because of how luxurious and skillful the haircut was, I expected it to be more expensive than usual (but still totally worth it!) but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was comparable to what I typically pay at my salon at home.I’m over the moon about my new haircut! I didn’t know exactly what I wanted but this is definitely it! I don’t live in the area but I would highly recommend the salon to anyone, and if ever I need to get my hair cut while traveling in the future, I will look for Aveida. Thank you, Joanna!

Came here as soon as legally possible to get my roots done and hair cut. I was so grateful to get Shelley as my stylist - She has an amazing vibe and did a great job getting my hair ready for our return from Quarantine. Was really impressed by how the salon prepared for all the new policies due to COVID. This place is amazing if youre a guy looking for a haircut or anyone looking to get their hair done. They have aroma scents that you smell and they give a neck massage and when you go to back room to get hair shampood they put hot wet towel over your face and give you a head massage. It is pricey for a haircut but you will not get that stuff anywhere else and if you found a place probably would be even more. I always go to Nicole who is an amazing stylist and very friendly person. Everyone there seems really friendly and I highly recommend this place. I wont go anywhere else. Ps. Since the pandemic they dont do the aroma scents or neck massage so hopefully virus goes away soon and they can resume them.

So I only put 5 star because I have not gone, I am a 16-year-old teenage woman and I have always wanted a change in my image I have gone to 4 different salons here in Orlando and it has been a little difficult because I only speak Spanish in short in these salons they have damaged my hair because I asked for a cut they told me that if they could but they left it horrible to a point that I even cried and this to this day affects my self-esteem finally I have finally decided to try to go to one and together with my mother we are gathering money to be able to go to this salon to see if I can finally recover my self-esteem, I do not know when I have the money to go but I will comment here how it was and I will be 100% honest so that no one is afraid to attend this salonIm sorry it wasnt my intention to harm the living room, so now I put 5 stars
