    My family and I are from Boston and new to the area. I was looking for a place for my boys to get their dreads done and found Shaggy Locks on Google.     Had a great experience getting my dreadlocks maintained here. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the loctician really knew what they were doing. My locs look clean and well-kept, and they gave me great advice for keeping them in shape between visits. The products and techniques they used were top-notch, and I could tell they take pride in their work.     My first experience in another place was awful. Then I look through the internet and found Shaggy. I called him and he told me to go right away. As soon as I entered I thought: THIS IS THE PLACE! Is clean, he is very professional, fast, and he explained to me how to take care of my loc. He also offer me a product to maintain my loc, he gave me a bottle of water, a hair charm and a Bible. I feel comfortable; like home! I came out looking and feeling better than when I did when I went in.

    My daughter had not had her hair done in quite some time. She is very tender headed and doesn’t like getting it done. She also had some locs that needed repair.     Shaggy isn’t just a Master Loctician, he’s a loc magician! He wrestled my locs (mats🤣) for about 5 hours today…. Needless to say, he won! I started my journey playing with dread extensions that I purchased, then made my own dreads with synthetic hair, all during a time when my mother was sick with cancer. During that time, I wanted to chop all my hair off & my husband didn’t want me to do it. Since I had tossed around the idea of having dreads for years, when my mother passed I decided to commit to having a half head of dreads. It will feed my husband’s need to keep my hair long, remind me of my mother (she saw me with a full head of extensions) and I will always go to Shaggy to maintain them. Shaggy rocks. He knows what he is doing with type A1 hair. If he can tame my matted beast, he can do any kind of hair type. I was super nervous that it would hurt since I’d never let anyone else touch them and they are 8 months mature, however Shaggy knows how to handle them & it was virtually painless!     I went to get my locs done I had a lot of new growth in the top of my hair and some of the locs was hanging on a string 😆 but shaggy repaired them for me my locs was a lot of smaller locks he hooked me up made smaller locs into a bigger ones then he interlock them. He did an excellent job. I also enjoyed our conversation about religion. If you need your locs maintain he is the one to go too to take care of you.

    I went to this shop on Thursday for a consultation with the owner for repairing my locks. He told me because I bleach my hair that the bleach/dye process weakens my locks. He repaired a lock to show me what he could actually do. I decided to use his repair service ($$$) and he was able to begin working on my hair that evening. He does an interlocking/crochet method to fix and repair your natural locks. The complete process took about 6 hours and I am loving my locks again. I posted before and after pictures because a picture is worth a thousand words. He did a phenomenal job repairing my hair and I am loving my locks all over again. He DOES NOT use any gels, beeswax, heavy products, clamps and dryer, etc. to keep locks looking freshly done. He is a true loctician and I have already booked my next appointment in 6 weeks to keep my locks maintained. The cost is so worth the final outcome. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! A definite spiritual experience!!!

    Feed your soul and your roots here. Not only is Shaggy a master loctician, hes also an evangelist with extensive knowledge on scripture and spiritual development. Hes knowledgeable on many subjects as well, so while you get your hair right, you definitely wont be bored. He works quickly, so you wont waste time either. Hes one of the quickest workers I know for locks but speed doesnt cost you quality. Hes thorough. My hair requires crocheting and interlocking, in order to stay tightened, so I was used to being in the chair for hours, but shaggy finishes, in about 1.5 hours max and I have a lot of hair. I highly recommend this place!

    I had the best experience since I started my locks. His ability to reattach dreads is beyond five star. At shaggy locks the atmosphere is above any other shop Ive been too in two decades.     I’m extremely satisfied with the outcome of my service. Shaggy has been doing this for a long time and it shows in his work. I had A LOT of loose hairs and a few of my dreads had weak roots but he fixed all of that. I’m also very happy that he was able to tighten my roots exactly how I wanted. I was worried because I’ve had my dreads for almost nine years and haven’t had any maintenance done besides my own so putting them in the hands of someone else was nerve wrecking.     I went to shaggy locks after calling a few places for loc extensions. Not only did he take me the same day for my consultation, but took me the same day two weeks after my consultation. I have to say Im truly happy with his work considering the fact I only had about an inch and a half of length in my hair he added the extension and they look very natural.     Been following this gifted artist for well over 4yrs and I must say I’ve never seen one disappointing picture except when customers have their Before picture taken with their hair not being touched for at least a month or two.     Very clean and professional. Covid 19 safe . My boyfriend went to get his hair done for New Years Eve and it’s the best I’ve ever seen his hair look .     I came to shaggy to get my locs started. I was a bit anxious on how my hair would turn out, because it was starting to lock on its own. Didnt know too much about the locking process, so shaggy give me a little hair locking 101 which put me at ease.     Best place and Master Locktician in the area. I have had my locks for 13+ years and have had 6 or so different stylists for different reasons.By far the most experienced I have met. With the 11+ years he has been doing locks the man simply knows how to do everything from getting your locks started all the way to repairing old damaged locks, and even extensions to make a uniform look.The shop itself is neat and tidy. One swivel salon style chair for one client at a time. With seating room for 2 (maybe 3 people)

    Great locktician and great person, he spreads nothing but positive air. He’s a true master locktician for sure.     I hated my husband’s dreads. I wanted to cut them off. We spent so much money with other people who did not do a very good job.
