FOLLOW-UP: Still had a VERY bad previous experience, but as I stated Matt Parma is an AWESOME barber here. My issue was waiting and no communication. I am changing my 1-star review as this issue was addressed just several hours later via a phone call from the owner who is addressing it in-house and also offered my next haircut on the house. Unsure if I will use it as I did find another great barber recommended to me by some of our athletes at another barber shop, but if I do try 18/8 again I would easily go back to Matt. Appreciate the owners quick response to my issue.ORIGINAL POST: Been here about 4 times before, always a 5 service. Kept coming back even though the prices are much higher but today I had a 4pm appointment. Told they are running a few minutes late. 430pm havent been told anything by the people at the front desk and still waiting so had to leave. No apology and seemingly didnt care that I had wasted 30 minutes waiting.

Really just overall bad, I know they give great haircuts here and I’ve heard Will is fantastic but mine is just really awful. Uneven all around, didn’t really do near what I asked, paid 75 dollars to not even get much done and somehow there “wasn’t time” to do my beard which is probably because the haircut took 55 minutes. I do not have enough hair to take 55 minutes and my hair is pretty thin but instead of making it look good like it usually does after a haircut it’s just very sloppy and has horrible blending. I did not pay for the beard before hand which is my fault but I said I would pay while there to add it. Really sad and unfortunate because I know others have had great experiences but I won’t be coming back.Update:David reached out following my review and was extremely understanding of the situation and offered me the chance to come back in for a complimentary haircut. I decided due to his kindness I would try it again. Best decision I could have made. I saw Matt this time and he did a fantastic job. My haircut this time around was perfect. The service was great, the cut was great, and he also did an amazing job with my beard. Additionally, I believe Will, who I had the time before, is also a fantastic barber and we just had a misunderstanding on what I wanted last time around. Overall, I can tell this place takes pride in their work and their reviews and I will definitely be coming back.

If you want the best of the best then you’ve come to the right place. If you’re not then that’s okay too but this is definitely your high-end gentleman’s spot for a great haircut. After moving from the Boston area quite some time ago I was really nervous about finding a place that would be as good as the who used to cut my hair. But I can remember the first visit like yesterday. I was greeted by Jordan, who immediately made me feel comfortable and worry-free. I knew right away she knew her stuff. She’s kind, funny, a local with lots of great knowledge of the area, but most importantly one of the best when it comes to men’s hair. She’s always up to date on the newest trends, but if you’re like me I don’t like much change. Shes good at that to and always remembers what I like. My son and I have been seeing Jordan every month now since we moved to the area and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I almost don’t want to write this because she’s so popular as it is but I make sure to book ahead of time. You won’t be disappointed! Make sure to tell her Freddy sent you!

I always see Genevieve who is so pleasant, an excellent stylist, and feels like a friend every time I see her. The Salon is always in tip-top condition. Clean and a warm and welcoming reception area while you wait like I do because Im always early. Its worth the money you pay. Parking is simple and plenty of places to grab a bite if youd like.

Had a wonderful experience with Dayana! When she washed my hair it was almost like getting a massage. She took her time and was slow and deliberate. It was wonderful. And then she was very patient with me while I was trying to explain what I was looking for. Got a great cut! I have been to other places and have had very disappointing experiences. I keep coming back to 18/8. If there was a negative to point out its the fact that every time I go I pay for a neck or scalp massage before the shampoo and they never do it. But thats just nit picking.

Ive been getting my haircut with Nadya for over 5 years, and have always had a phenomenal experience. I have thick, curly hair that I find difficult to manage - Nadya not only mastered it from day one, but keeps me looking sharp with every haircut. I dont let anyone else touch my hair!I moved over 45 minutes away a few years ago, and the service, care, and attention to detail that each haircut gets is above and beyond anything Ive experienced elsewhere. The staff is always professional and friendly, and every visit is enjoyable and pleasant. The commute and cost are well worth the experience.Highly recommend!

Let me start off saying everyone was very nice. That aside the hair cut I got there was on the same level as something you would get at sportclips. The price I payed to get the haircut I received was not proportionate. I explained to Laurel that I was looking for something new and fun and only had a few months to wear the new hairstyle she would give me. The only thing I specifically asked for was higher and tighter on the sides when she blends it. So guess what was the only good thing I got. The rest was a safe slightly more textured top with no real changes or quality hair styling. Just disappointed with the quality and results. Felt like I could have given myself the same haircut by mistake.Edit - Owner called me up and offered to fix the situation. I came back and Will knocked it out of the park. Was night and day. Love the hair cut and glad I let them fix what happened.

Ive been visiting 18/8 since I moved to the area in 2018. On my first visit I was randomly given Nadya as my stylist and have been returning to her ever since. Her attitude, professionalism, and skill are second to none!The establishment overall is extremely relaxing, with friendly service when you walk in, beer on tap, and 5 star service across the board. I recommend 18/8 and Nadya to all my friends and will continue to visit as long as I live in the area.

Ive been coming to 18/8 since we moved to Florida back in July 2018. We had a similar mens salon in NYC, John Allans, where I was a member for years. Everyone is friendly and professional. Ive had cuts from a few of the stylists. You cant go wrong with any one of them. My favorite and go-to is Nadya. She is a breath of fresh air with a sweet spirit. Its like having a friend cut your hair. She makes me more handsome than I already am every time! 😀

UPDATE:After speaking to David, we managed to get this issue corrected. I was able to rebook my next appointment with Ramon who took time to cut my hair. He did an excellent job and made sure I left completely satisfied. Even though my first experience was not the best, management team did whatever they could to correct the issue. It shows trust and ability to take ownership of a problem. Would recommend going here!PAST REVIEW: Booked an appointment with Anthony and paid for executive haircut. Seems like he rushed through it. Cut my hair too short despite the fact I mentioned it few times. Plaid for executive but didn’t get the massage I paid for. At $80, you would hope that they atleast don’t rush through your hair as your the last client. Don’t recommend.

Last Sunday February 9th 2020 was my first time getting my haircut at 18/8 Fine Mens Salon. I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist and she was very helpful. The wait area was very well laid out with a choice of beverage. Design of the facility was well thought out and it gave me the feeling that I was being served by professionals. I didnt have to wait long and the service was outstanding. Not only was the quality of the haircut very good but the styling of my hair was also beyond what I expected. After moving to West Palm Beach, it has been impossible to replace my Barber, until I met Claudia at 18/8! Claudia is very personable and she made me feel like I was family to her. She is an artist with the scissors and clippers. I’m new to Palm Beach Gardens and called 18/8. Alex answered, she could not have been sweeter. She got me in same day. I explained my expectations and she said, I totally have the right person for you. Spoke with Nikki, she listened and she more than nailed it. I never looked better, my wife said I looked 10 years younger. Also met Sunshine, very cool vibe and saw how great she cut the man she was working with. I called the day of to book an appointment. They were able to book me within the hour. Was on the fence with some hair cut styles and they helped me pick on and cut it perfectly. They aren’t your typical rudimentary cut. Niki was professional, sweet, and talented at her craft. Going back in 4 weeks! Would highly recommend for someone who wants a great haircut!

They have a very nice waiting area equipped with coffee, soda , water and draft beer 🍺. From the moment I walked in I felt like I have been going here for years. She knew who I was and offered some cold beverages, for kids and ADULTS. Massage, hot towel, cold beer, the whole 9. Feel like a man, getting treated like a women. Thats the best way I can describe it. I have had Claudia do my hair the past few times and she is my new go-to girl. My wife LOVES my hair, and I wear a hat a LOT less.

Went to get a haircut after 2 months of college. I had a complete mop of hair on my head and was in desperate need of a haircut. When I entered the customer service was immediately amazing and the wait wasn’t long at all. They were able to do exactly what I wanted and when I wasn’t sure what I wanted they even gave suggestions. I came out looking like a new man and I was given free chocolate covered strawberries :). Definitely one of the best hair places to go to.

Didn’t have the best experience as far as the haircut went with barber I was given. Customer service is great though, Dave went above and beyond to remedy problem and offered a refund as well as a free return visit to correct issue. I will let you know how that goes if I decide to return. Im sure they have younger barbers who do awesome work but unfortunately I didn’t receive one and left unsatisfied with initial results. I barged into 18|8 the week of 11/8 after a different stylist seemed to have cut my hair with a helicopter. As soon as I crossed the threshold, Sunshine turned white (and if you’ve ever met her, you know that would be hard for her), because my hair had been butchered so badly.I had a near bald spot on the side of my head (which I am not bald) and the back of my head looked like it was cut by a blind man with his hands tied behind his back. I was getting married in a few days. My heart was broken.Sunshine sprung up out of her seat and rushed over to me. She immediately made me feel better. She quickly explained what she could do, and set proper expectations. Stating that it wouldn’t be possible to completely fix it, and that she would do the best she could. That bit of honestly held a lot of respect for me, as I knew she wasn’t going to sugar coat any of it.I was starting to feel relief. Even though I could feel how sad she felt for me. Certainly she was the right person to fix this.Buzz... zip... a snip here, a snip there.... she was an artist. Truly getting a grasp of the nuisances of my hair line and all the different lays. She cut confidently and swiftly. Not apologizing for any of it. She was on a mission. She knew what she was doing...We talked about her art, and my wedding. My wife... it was like I knew her. As some of the other employees gathered around, to check my progress (and I assume to make sure I hadn’t off’d myself), my heart was at ease.As I sit in Positano, Italy, on my honeymoon, I am writing this, filled with gratitude, looking out over one of the most truly magnificent landscapes in the world. I feel great and am happy to say that I’m not wearing a hat. I am eternally grateful to Sunshine.

My barber/stylist was Quincy and I really like him, and his professionalism and his skill. My hair and beard look great. The service was really cool. I enjoyed the products used. The straight razor detailing deserves special mention.Unfortunately I can only give Four Stars because the shop is so far from where I live, and I dont know when I am going to be able to come back. I wish they had more locations. Where I live all I have is Supercuts or regular barber shops where they charge twice the price as Supercuts for the same service I would get at Supercuts.A final note on pricing at 18/8. No. I did not find the Salon, expensive. Actually, I thought my service was going to cost a cool $100. It didnt. 18/8 turned out to be very reasonably priced. No more expensive than any other Barber Shop, of course a bit more expensive than Supercuts but that is to be expected!!

I have tried the usual places in town (Vintage, Busters, etc), and have enjoyed my time, but it wasnt the Primo experience.I found my new Go To for some time.Last weekend I walked in (my standard modus) to the 18/8. I was greeted by a friendly staff member (I believe her name was Denaye) and escorted to a clean, pleasant waiting area. I was greeted by my stylist Quincy who escorted me back to his area. I explained to Quincy that Ive got a difficult head of hair/beard to cut (thick and unruly - if done improperly it looks like a motorcycle helmet). Quincy was the consummate pro. Pleasant, endlessly engaging, not to mention funny, he provided one of THE best haircut and beard trim Ive had in YEARS!I have FOUND the primo experience I was looking for and am on the books with Quincy when I am back in town next month..Nice work Quincy!Scott McGlone
