    I have been going to Alex for a few years now and I have loved every haircut shes given me. Weve done a variety of styles from long layers, a side shave/undercut, short cuts, and blue hair. I have loose curly hair and am super low maintenance with my styling. She always gives me a cut that is perfectly tailored to what Ive asked for, while also taking my habits (or lack thereof) into consideration in order to guarantee that it works with my lifestyle and hair texture.Her salon is a bright and welcoming safe space filled with local art. Alex is a joy to be around and our appointments fly by because they are filled with such great conversation. I always leave feeling bubbly and confident and so grateful to have found her!Hands down my favorite stylist ever!

    Amazing! 🤩 Alex truly cares about giving you the hair you ask for. She took the time to listen and learn my curls. She made me feel so comfortable in her space. A solo salon with no other clients or employees around is an experience you really have to experience yourself with Alex. I’m done searching for a stylist, because Alex is the best.

    Alex knows curly hair! I came in ready for a big chop and she explained which length would be best, according to my face shape. She brought my curls back to life and I absolutely love it.

    Through the years I have had a difficult time finding a hairdresser that was good with curly hair. Now I wonder “Where has Alex been my whole life.” She takes a lot of pride in her work and strives for perfection. I can always feel how important it is to her, I am happy with my hair. An afternoon in her Salon is like visiting a favorite friend. I always leave feeling relaxed, beautiful and loved.

    Literally drove 2.5 hours and it was so worth it ! Love my hair and the whole experience! Alex explained every step of the process and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! Such a great experience and stylist! Thank youuuu

    If you have anxiety and trust issues with hair salons, Alex is your GIRL! Her space is private and very comfortable. Alex creates an open and trusting environment by encouraging two-way communication throughout the entire process. She regularly checks in throughout the service to ask clarifying questions to ensure you’re constantly getting what you want. She has a reputation as a curl specialist, but she is amazing with all hair types. I have thin, fine, straight/wavy hair and she always knows exactly what I need.

    Alex had the technical knowledge of someone that has been practicing for 20+ years! Additionally, she takes the time to listen to your wants/needs and gives you honest feedback and sets realistic expectations. I left my same hairstylist after 16 years (due to moving) and was a bit skeptical. She picked right up where my last one left off and nailed it. Would highly recommend.

    I had my first appointment with Alex today and I couldn’t have asked for better service! She immediately made me feel very comfortable and listened to my preferences/concerns about my hair.     I was so hesitant to even step foot in a hair salon after my last after a traumatic visit to one. Alex was super mindful of my new tender boundaries. She didn’t pressure me into anything, she was so authentically kind and fun to talk to. And she even prefaced her prices ahead of time which I am very grateful for, she just has all one price so. Long live Hairy Alex! She’s magic! …And also funny. :) excited for my next appointment.

This year we started blonding it which I was nervous about but Alex has kept my curls looking and feeling healthy throughout the whole process.     Alex is SUCH an amazing stylist, she meets your needs and comfort levels in anyway possible and is open and honest with products she uses, along with everything she’s doing to your hair. As she’s walking you through your appointment, she set realistic goals for how you replicate the style she’s providing you with, and what you can do at home with the products you have. She’s honestly the best, I look forward to every appointment I have!

    Amazing experience!!! Alex did wonderful things to my hair. I love stylists where I can describe what I like and then they figure out how to make it work for me and that is exactly what Alex did. My hair had been looking ROUGH after a year and a half of covid and Alex made me look and feel gorgeous! I also appreciated the covid precautions she took. I will definitely be going back.     Alex Horne has been cutting and coloring my hair for the past 4 years.
