I have been a client on and off for years, I have moved away to big cities like Atlanta, however, no top salon can touch what Volume One offers. My new stylist Taylor is the best I have ever had for color, cut and blow out. Hurst is a genius, he hires the best and provides ongoing training to make sure they are cutting edge. The salon is relaxed, they validate parking and lots of great places to walk for lunch or dinner after.

Seriously one of the best salons I have ever been to! It is a super cute place in downtown Pensacola. This was one of the best hair color and hair cuts I have received in three years! Without a doubt obsessed with Courtney! I have never had such a fantastic experience getting my hair done! Extraordinary personality and really knows what she is doing! Her balayage work is something that I lust over and is flawless! I cannot imagine letting anyone else color my hair. She is an extremely knowledgeable color specialist that understands the integrity of the hair is most important. I love my hair transformation and it’s extremely healthy since we did it over time. I constantly get compliments on it! I recently moved an hour away but will be making the drive for my next appointment. I always feel safe in her hands! I just moved from California and I was looking for the best salon here in Pensacola and I have found this Volume One Salon number 1 on the web. I did called and made an appointment. And the hairstylist who helped me was very friendly, professional, super excellent and the bomb. If I will compare her, she’s like an army Swiss knife. Because she’s excellent in everything she does. When I arrived at the salon, I showed her what hair color and style for my hair, but she advised me the best style and color that will look good on me. I’m super grateful that I was able to experience working with her and I’m in love with my hair. I can’t say enough about how great this place is. I called with a hair “emergency” and the receptionist was so kind and went above and beyond to get me in for a last minute consultation with the AMAZING SCARLETT. She saved my hair. Couldn’t love Volume One more ! THE BEST SALON I’ve EVER been to. I’m a mama, and work over an hour away so let me tell you that makes me a low maintenance hair girl! I’ve been seeing Tasha who recommends what is going to look best and work best for me. Absolutely love this girl. She makes coming to the hair salon feel like you’re at the spa with your best friend. She brings you coffee, talks to you for hours and tells you you’re pretty. Every time I go to see her I leave feeling refreshed and beautiful. If you’re not seeing her, you need to be.

Courtney Northington is exquisite! She has a strong sense of creative direction, she listens well and fully assesses your skin tone/facial structure, asks what sort of events you will have coming up, and considers your long-term goals and hair health. I went into Volume One salon for a haircut and was randomly matched with Courtney one night, then ended up leaving with a brand new hair shape and color! I was so pleased with how she communicated with me and was very considerate of my personal style, as well as the price point I was willing to go to. I cannot recommend her enough. She is thoughtful, quirky, easy to talk to you, and you immediately want to become friends with her and her bright energy. At the least, consider scheduling a consultation with her. You won’t be disappointed!I will be married in April, and looking forward to an incredible up-do. She also started phasing me to blonde in a slow healthy approach as to preserve the integrity of my hair.

The way she educates her clients as well as her apprentice(s) is unmatched. She’s so good at what she does & is always taking conscious steps to get better. She CARES & is so passionate about hair & the whole process.. and it shows! In addition to Sarah, the atmosphere & energy at Volume One salon is the best I’ve ever exeperienced. I’m a military spouse that moves around every few years. I cringe at the idea of trying to find a new salon every time we move. Before we moved to Pensacola I had been researching salons that use Goldwell products for hair coloring as well as smoothing treatments. There are only two salons in the area that provide keratin treatments and I definitely hit the jackpot with volume one; especially with Kenzie. Not only did she exceed my expectations but volume one has quickly become my favorite salon that I’ve ever used. I even brought my 8 year old to the salon to receive a chlorine hair treatment. The salon was extremely accommodating! I’m dreading the day we have to PCS in 2024 and start this process over. If you are used to a high end salon with extremely expertise talent , Volume one is for you. Ask for Kenzie!

I had my hair cut by Kat B. She is wonderful. I have an issue trusting stylists and have gone without a haircut for about a year since my prior beloved stylist left Opulence for a military move. But I know Kats in laws and they convinced me to give her a try. I LOVE my haircut! She did exactly what I was asking and it came out beautiful! And she is all around pleasant and fun. Ill be going back for sure!

OMG! Alexx is amazing! 🤩🤩She has colored and cut my hair for a couple of years so when my 6-year old wanted her hair cut, I immediately called Alexx. Alexx made my daughter feel comfortable and talked with her extensively about how she wanted her hair to look. I can’t say enough good things about Tasha and Volume One!! January 28, 2022 I went in for my regularly scheduled visit with Tasha. I was right I’m the middle of a horrible month and as soon as I walked into Volume One my mood was lifted. The atmosphere and staff are just so welcoming and go above and beyond for you! I arrived about 15 minutes early and while I waited for Tasha I was brought refreshments and checked on regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. Once I was seated in Tasha’s chair that’s when the real magic happened! She knew instantly that I needed something fresh, bright and uplifting. I left it completely in her hands and she decided to brighten up my face framing pieces to tie in some of my older balayage and my ends. It was subtle but so powerful! The entire time I was in her chair I was waited on by other staff and Tasha patiently listened to me while I vented about every problem I was facing. Let me just say one of my favorite things in the WORLD is when Tasha washes my hair and gives the most amazing head message, it could heal any bad day!! After the hair wash I got the Beyoncé treatment! A couple stylists stepped in to help dry and style my hair as I have very long thick hair! It went so quick and really made meFeel so special!! By the end of my visit my mood had done 180 and I felt so amazing I was considering going out on a first date with someone (I looked that good)!! And to top it all off, they offered to snap a few amazing pictures of my hair for me, and let me tell you there is no bigger confidence boost than having some amazing stylists and even some by-standers walk by yelling words of encouragement to you while you “model” you’re new look. Truly this visit was one of the best experiences I have ever had anywhere!!! All of my visits have been too notch at Volume One, but this was worth telling the world! I hope this helps someone who may be having a hard time find their way into this salon so they can have their mood/life lifted too!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Tasha and team!!! I love this salon. I found them when looking for a stylist to do my bridal hair and I’m so thankful a friend recommended them. Their wedding coordinator was so helpful and patient with me. Communication was clear and timely. Karla cut my hair and styled mine and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding and I’ve never been more pleased with my hair. My hair is thin and I’m never happy with it but Karla is a magician and I felt so beautiful on my special day. My bridesmaids all loved her and their hair too. I have to also give kudos to Alexx who did my keratin treatment. She was so nice and informative. I already scheduled my next appointments with Alexx and Karla both. Alex always does an amazing job whether I am getting a blow out, hair color or cut. If my schedule would let me I would come every week, but I do come twice a month. Every appointment I’m treated with friendliness & professionalism every visit.Sometimes when I can’t get in to see Alex due to my schedule they never make me weird about seeing someone else, & every time I see anyone else they treat me as if I am their regular client too! The entire staff is always super sweet & recognize their clients. I have been to places where your treated as if you have never been seen before & no one likes that feeling! Even if it’s my first time or 100th appointment I’m treated with professional kindness that makes me love getting my hair done.

She put so much work into blending my hair as well as glossing and color melting that made me want to cry, I felt like myself again with the length of my hair! My appointment included a cut and color and I have gotten non stop compliments on it since my visit. The hair salon assistant, Monday, also did a good job helping Alex. I am a college student on a budget and this was outside my normal price range for a hair appointment but the results were worth every dollar and I will definitely be back to see Alex again.

Originally I started with some pretty dark brown hair that we took to a bleached blonde and eventually to the grey in the first pic. The whole process was very smooth and I felt taken care of the whole couple of hours for each appointment. Courtney of course made me feel even more at home by making sure I had anything I needed while waiting for my hair to dye. I included the second pic to show the color after it’s faded, and it still looks good! I came to Volume One after having an awful experience at San Carlos. Kim Nelson was my amazingly gifted stylist at VOLUME ONE. This salon gave me astonishing results. I was impressed initially at the efficiency. Instead of sitting in the chair for hours, she knew exactly what she was doing and how to do it. Foil and cut in an hour and a half. She gave me the best cut and color of my life. She modernized my cut, made my hair appear thicker, took away the brassiness, the frizz, and brightened my color with dimensional color. I waited over three hours for my wife to get a baylayage. They offer water, a variety of teas and wine. I never asked for any because I was nervous... My wife left this place with the best haircut and styling shes ever had. Easily worth the time and money. First time I was here there was a cool dog I assumed was the mascot. Wasnt there the second time. (Its a superb salon.)

Ive been going to Katherine Velez for over 5 years now, and I tell everyone who asks about Volume One that I have NEVER left this salon unhappy with my hair. Shes an actual hair MAGICIAN!!! Katherine, and all of the VO staff, care deeply about the people in their chair, and you really feel like family. Is it pricey? Yes; however, I know and feel confident that Im walking into a salon where everyone is trained, coached, educated, and CONTINUES to work on that education. Some people walk into VO frustrated that they arent getting Super Cuts prices, but the quality of work coming out of this salon is really unparalleled.

I had Kenzie Green do my hair and let me tell you, THIS GIRL GAVE ME THE A1 TREATMENT. First off, she greeted me at the door and immediately offered me any beverage I could have possibly imagined. She was so attentive, and she took her time fixing my ugly orange hair. She did such a good job, and there was nooo way fixing my orange hair was easy and putting it back to the exact color brown I wanted, but she did!! If I could leave a 100 star review I would. This girl is the bomb and I’d reccomend her to any person who lives in Pensacola!

Very professional and polished hair salon. Though both hairdressers were pleasant, I wasn’t happy with my first cut. I was going from long to pixie hair and ended up with uneven spots. Nonetheless, I went back in to get it fixed and the second hairdresser got me closer to what I was looking for despite the original error. Overall, I’m giving them five stars for a professional attitude and, in the end, a very polished hair cut. Thanks!

First of all, this place is so cute! the staff is so sweet and jamie is a literal doll! from the moment i reached out to jamie, to the moment i left the salon, i was well pampered and taken care of. jamie listened to all of my wants and i just trusted her 100% to fix me up- she did!! she gave me an entire new look with a beautiful layered cut that frames my face perfectly. she even helped me with specific questions i had regarding hair styling and other troubles. highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

I had never gone to a salon before, but ever since Karlas shears descended on my head I have not gone anywhere else. The staff are very friendly and I love chilling with the dog as I wait for my appointments. I have never received a bad haircut here, and even if they cut it so it wasnt something I was totally expecting, you still dont end up with a bad hair day :) highly recommend it here!

This process was slow because my hair was so damaged from years of 80s abuse. It took TIME to get this look. If you want to do it right AND you want to have healthy hair, it takes several sittings to get this gorgeous color. People always ask about my hair when Im out and about. Im originally from Texas and thats where I had my hair done 3 weeks prior to visit here at Volume one. There was a slight mishap with my hair...it was colored way to dark and it was waaaay to brassy. Obviously I didnt want to drive back to Texas to fix it so I was referred to try Volume one and my original consultation was with Gabby and she was very kind and understanding to help figure out how we were going to fix it but she unfortunately wasnt going to be in town for a while and I needed it fixed NOW so she referred me to Elliott.Elliott was soooooo AMAZING! He was so nice and talked me through it all. He picked the best route for color correcting my hair without completely bleaching everything! He also was very calming during the process. I honestly dont know how to thank him! My hair was pretty bad before to the point where I didnt want wear it down but now I cant style it and wear it out without any problem. PLUS, it was CHEAPER than the original hair coloring I got in the FIRST PLACE.This is truly a special place. It definitely stands out in the Pensacola area. Im from Austin, Texas and this place reminds me a lot of my home. They really could just pick it up and drop it in that city and no one would even notice. Very modern, yet cool and laid back...its filled with very DIFFERENT stylists which draw in very DIFFERENT clients and that just makes this place that much more special. So, thank you again Volume One and thank you so so much Elliott! I wish I had a way to tell you that a bunch but I hope I said it enough during our appointment. Definitely would recommend this to anyone!
