    Researched curl specialists and found Kristin. I have been straightening my hair forever and now that I’m living in Florida, I wanted to wear my hair curly. My visit with Kristin was very educational. She went thru each step with me, explaining why it was important. Since my visit, I’ve been getting better at getting my curls to look the way Kristin styled it. She was really helpful and I would highly recommend her!!

    I have found evidence of real magic in this world. Kristin possesses a knowledge that can only be described as magic. She took my straggly hair and made my curls what I thought was impossible. Defined and bouncy and gorgeous. Not only did she make this happen, but she also TAUGHT me to do this on my own! She fully assessed the situation, told me exactly what I was doing wrong just by looking and listening to what I said and then taught me how to better care for my hair. To top all this off, she doesnt product shame either! Even though she uses professional products, shes down to earth and doesnt make you feel bad if you dont use the most top shelf products. She will make recommendations but is just a normal woman who KNOWS her craft. She makes you feel like youve known her a while, is very comfortable to be around and I dont ever want to go to anyone else! Ive posted one before pic (Its pretty obvious which one is the before, but I put it last) and three after pics to show you what shes capable of. She is amazing and worth every penny. Thank you Kristin for being such a caring professional!

    When you first go to Kristin you not only receive excellent services, but you get an education on how to care for and style your hair. (I was doing so much wrong, which would’ve eventually resulted in thinning hair.) My hair always looked good, but I was in tears at how beautiful my curls were at the end of the appointment. Now my curls are thick and lush on a daily basis! Additionally, she is a delight, has great products (but doesn’t push them), and has scheduled my cuts at 12 weeks when I usually go every 8.

    I recently moved to Port Charlotte & was terrified to find a new stylist that knows how to work with curly hair. Kristin was initially not taking on new clients, so I was forced to test the waters. I recently checked back & was very happy to hear she was accepting new clients. I received a thorough scalp exam and a long overdue education on caring for my curls. Until moving to FL, I rarely ever left my hair curly due to it looking dry and frizzy!     I recently moved to Florida and was in dire need of a new hairstylist. I have not embraced my curls in a long time and was ready for a change. After researching curly hair experts in the area, Kristin came up several times with excellent reviews. I messaged her even though she was not accepting new clients. Kristin was responsive and said she may have a cancellation at some point and she got back to me when she did have a cancellation. I am so in awe of the transformation in my hair. She is extremely knowledgeable and told me what she was doing every step of the way. I would recommend Kristin to anyone looking for a new stylist. She is top notch!!

    Obsessed! I’ve always wanted to embrace my curls, but just never could figure it out on my own.     I finally found the Wizard of Curly Hair and her name is Kristin! This woman is amazing. I’ve never been to a hairstylist who knew so much about hair and scalp as she does.     Kristin brought my curls back to life! I went to her for a much needed curly haircut after I had a lot of postpartum hair loss and breakage and she was able to make it completely unnoticeable!     Great experience with Kristin. Her salon space is intimate, so you dont have to shout of a room full of hair dryers. She asked lots of questions to fully understand what I wanted and what kind of time Im willing to put into styling (which is almost none...). She took the pictures I brought and coupled them with what she learned from our discussion and gave me a flattering cut that I can manage on my own!

    Kristin is a curly hair expert! I have very difficult curly hair with many different textures and curl patterns. She is the only person who I trust to cut it (I even just flew to FL for a haircut). She takes her time to make sure that my hair is even and will remain even beyond leaving the salon.     Kristin is amazing! She does great cuts, styling, and especially color. I will not find anyone as good as her! I have dark, thick hair and I wanted to go lighter. Kristin recommended to go lighter gradually so that I don’t damage my hair. She also did Balayage so that the color blended well with my natural color and I did not have to up keep the color. I have been going to her for the past 5years and only stopped because she moved down to FL.

    Kristin colored and cut my hair for many years when she was in New York (about 14 years total). Over the years, my style and preferences changed and it was always easy to communicate with Kristin about the direction I wanted to go in. More accurately stated, she could make sense of whatever vague idea I was poorly trying to convey. While I often received compliments from others on my hair color and cuts, I was always equally complimented that many people didnt even know I colored my hair until it came up in conversation. Thats because Kristin always paid attention to making sure that she colored my hair in way that when it grew out, it looked as natural as possible. She worked hard to make my hair color last as long as possible, so I could go further stretches between coloring. Especially during the years I was a full-time student, that really helped me to be able to still color my hair professionally but stay within a budget. I also want to mention that Kristin is one of the easiest people to talk to, which matters when you have to spend a few hours in a chair getting your hair done. Going to get my hair done was relaxing, and that was 100% because of her ability, professionalism, and warm personality. I really miss her and if she ever comes back to NY, I would like to say Id be first in line to see her but I know I would be competing with many others that would be running for first dibs back to her chair.

    During the COVID lock down I let my hair grow. When it finally grew 8 plus inches I wanted my hair cut to donate for cancer wigs.Kristin was my stylist in NY and now we both live in Florida. I drove 2.5 hours to get my hair styled by Kristin. I sent her pictures of the styles I was thinking of. She reviewed them and we decided on the very short cut. She did a great cut and I 💘 it. It has been a few months and my cut is still looking good. Kristin is an excellent stylist. You will be pleased with your experience with Kristin.

    I need to start with I’m a platinum blonde who is naturally dark brown. That’s important in hair. I went to Kristin because I wanted to be blonde again. The first time you sit in her chair she does a lengthy consultation. After much conversation and her learning my hair’s history she said we had to do it gradually and not all at once like I’d hoped for. Turns out my hair would have probably broken off at the scalp it was in such bad shape. She told me she couldn’t in good conscience do what I wanted. But she came up with a game plan. She got me lighter gradually over a few appointments. She taught me how to care for my hair and what products to use and gradually she got my hair in a healthy enough state that I could finally be platinum again. My hair is healthier as a platinum blonde than it ever was naturally. She also offers a service I had never heard of before called a silent service (I think that’s what it’s called) and she does your hair without chatting. She said some people just want the time to chill and relax without the conversation. I’m not one of those people so chatting with Kristin is always a pleasure. I always look forward to my appointments with Kristin.

    First of all, this girl knows her craft 👏🏼 Get on her book. Good things happen to those that wait 👏🏼As a former stylist, with challenging hair texture/density, along with my first full on FL summer & homes well water, my Irish fro was not adjusting to its new environment at all.I mistakenly trusted a random referral (we had similar hair) & stopped in for quick simple cut (well, for some anyway...) that resulted in a traumatic butchering. Im not exaggerating. I didnt leave the house for 4 days. Managed some doctoring of my own & began the frantic on-line deep dive search. And there she was 🤩I remembered seeing Hair by Kristin C as a curl specialist when I first moved down & realized that after years of heat styling &/or Mom top knots that maybe I should embrace my texture & go back to my favorite 90s wavy bob.Immediately messaged Kristin with my backstory & she promptly replied on a Saturday morning (unheard of in this industry) & saved me from my own devices lolShe is in high demand & I understood that I would need to be patient as a new client. I couldve stayed there all day just to learn more.Normally I wouldve been anxious about my blonde, or a dreaded Karen cut, not even an afterthought, once she literally used her fingers to bring back waves that I hadnt seen since my early 20s.Just as I was leaving, her next client commented and ultimately my fiance when he got home from work. All he could say was: Baby... Lol Friend said I was giving Marilyn vibes.     Kristin is a great listener. She takes the time to hear you and what you want and then she tells you what she is doing for you every step of the way. One of my favorite aspects about sitting in her chair is that she I understands that some people are scared to go short and she is supportive of that choice. I always feel comfortable in her chair!

    Kristin is wonderful, both as a person and as a hairdresser. She came to me highly recommended and then shortly, I was recommending her to everyone, including my sister and neice. She always listens but is also honest and tells me what she thinks. I always love how she does my hair, both cuts and colors. She had balayaged, highlighted, lowlights, and glazed my hair. All were very well done. I no longer color the gray and she was a HUGE help in the transition so I didnt lose my mind. She has made excellent product recommendations and always LOVE her cuts. Love her! Highly recommend!

    I was new to the area dreading trying to find a new stylist like the one back home. I saw Kristen on FB and she was also new to the area so I thought why not? Help a newbie build her book. I connected with her immediately! She really listened and understood what I wanted. I have curly hair and she knows exactly the correct way to cut. She has a great personality and a very kind person.     Kristin is prompt, professional, thorough and accommodating. I hate sitting at a salon for hours, and she could always get me in and out quickly without sacrificing the quality of her service. Over 15 years, I would go every 6 weeks and I never had to wait. She always listens to exactly what you want and she won’t begin until she’s confident you’re on the same page. Highly recommend!

    Kristin cut my in New York do almost 10 years. I have short hair and not all stylists are great at cutting short hair. She always gave me a fantastic haircut and used the razor on my hair which I loved. I regularly got compliments from perfect strangers about my haircut—who doesn’t like that?!
