The hairstylist was great at explaining to a tween how she was frying her beautiful hair with flat ironing. She also explained how to properly care for her hair. This was great, the kid getting educated by a professional, since sometimes tweens arent listening to parents and grandparents. Lol

The coloring process was fine and I like it. I had gone in ahead of time to inquire as to the price of coloring and was quoted $66. However, when I went to the counter to pay I was quoted a explosive price of $119. Duh??? How does this happen???? Dave did take a few snips but he did not cut most of my hair. My bill was almost $50 more than I was quoted. I will not be returning to Smart Style. Unbelievable!!!

Like everyone else amid this pandemic, I desperately needed my hair done. To make things worse, I’m new to the area and really don’t know who’s good or where to go. I was at Walmart day before yesterday and saw the salon had opened and thought why not. Laurie was my hair stylist and I am thrilled with the color, the cut, the service and the entire experience!! The salon kinda had a Steel Magnolia vibe to it and everyone was wonderful. I would happily recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality work at great prices. ❤️

I would recommend going to see Laurie, she was wonderful!!! Will definitely be going back to the salon just for her!!! I barely waited to get in and was done in less than a hour. Today, she was the only one working and was booked to the hilt. Somehow she worked me in between customers. Sadly, she had an earlier customer who made unreasonable demands for her daughters thick hair. Does corporate listen to its employees? On Friday November 15, 2019 I decided to have my hair trimmed here at the Smart Style Hair Salon, which is located in the Palmetto Pointe Marketplace in Port Orange FL. The wait wasnt that bad, just over 10 minutes, only because I had to wait for someone who checked-in online, of who wasnt even there yet. However, the wait time was OK anyway. I was called by Jinie, who was very pleasant, and kind as well. She started off by introducing herself, then asked me what it was that I wanted her to do today. First, let me start by saying that my hair is VERY important to me. I have had very long hair for many years, its a lot of work, but I love my hair very much. I said to her I was in there to just trim it, but then asked her opinion about how much she thought was dead & split at the end. Of course, I admitted it had been several months since I had a trim, so the amount of hair that was split and needed to be taken off to look better was quite a bit. I asked Jinie to use her own judgement, and show me how much she thought needed to be taken off to make my hair look healthy again. Unfortunately, a trim wouldnt cut it!! Jinie told me that I would need to have at least 8 to 9 inches cut off to look healthy again, of course I panicked!! But, like I said, trusted her judgement and asked her to go ahead with it. The 1st snip is always the hardest, LOL! But I felt better about it since it looked a ton better afterwards, and it felt great as well!! She was very precise, and went over my hair a few times to make sure it was cut exactly straight, and even on both sides of my head, (something that I VERY much appreciated, and let her know as well). So, thanks Jinie for making what could have been a disaster, a great experience!! I would recommend her for sure!!

At the time, I was battling a serious episode of depression, and had several huge knots in my hair.
