    I’ve been looking for a hair stylist to give me exactly what I wanted and after a few, I started to lose hope that Tampa didn’t have any or that I would have to drive farther. I started looking again and came across a few of Laura’s hair cutting photos of exactly what I wanted and I called Monday and got an appointment on Friday with her.I arrived at my appointment and Laura let me know that she was behind on schedule and that she would be with me right away. I showed her one of her photos along with some face framing that I wanted done and she blew it out of the park! She gave me exactly what I wanted and was such a sweet and gentle soul. I can finally say I’ve found my new hairdresser and she’s only 15 minutes from me! Thank you, Laura!

    If I didnt have to leave the state, Laura would be my hairdresser forever.Ive never had a hairdresser so welcoming and caring. From the moment I sat down, Laura really listened to what I wanted and gave me amazing suggestions tailored just for me. Her haircut was so detailed – you could tell she truly cared about making me look and feel great. She even took the time to teach me about my hair, and showed me how to style it at home. Words cant express how much effort and genuine care she put in.The salon is fantastic from start to finish. Friendly staff greet you in a beautiful and clean space. Appointments are easy to book and always on time, and the overall service is outstanding.I honestly dont see why anyone would go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment. You wont be disappointed!

    Had an appointment with Anastasia today for color. The salon is so clean and comfortable. Anastasia did a fantastic job covering my roots. She was communicative showing me the hair colors and making suggestions. The shampooing was very relaxing and gave me advice on products she was using on my hair without trying to sell them to me. Loved that she used toner for additional shine. Definitely made another appointment with her. Highly recommend this salon and Anastasia.

    Had a wonderful first time experience with Emily today. She was very kind, easy to talk to, and did an amazing job with my hair. I showed her pictures of what I did and did not want, and she was able to give me exactly what I pictured. The salon was very clean and the other staff were very friendly. I will be coming back for my next hair cut! Highly recommend!!

    I had a fantastic experience with Ana. I was hesitant about getting my hair cut for the first time as a male with very long hair, but the work she did was phenomenal and she gave great advice. The price was great too, I was very pleasantly surprised. Also I almost fell asleep during the wash on account of it being so nice. Very friendly people doing excellent work.

    Amazing family run business!! You become a part of something special while you’re here. I see Anastasia and she is so talented. It is hard to find someone who can work with long, thick, coarse Asian hair, and Ana makes my hair look and feel perfect every time.

    I had my first appointment to get my hair styled for a photo shoot and I will definitely book with them again whenever I need a service like this! I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment time but they attended to me as soon as I walked in. Everyone was so nice and receptive to what I was looking to get done! Emily styled my hair exactly the way I wanted, took her time and perfected the look. My hair is not the most cooperative especially when it comes to curls, and because of that I was worried they wouldn’t hold through the day until when I would be taking maternity photos. Because of all the work and thought Emily put into it, they did hold up and looked perfect for my photo shoot! They made me feel good while I was at the salon and my hair made me feel confident for my photos. It was also nice how fair priced the services were considering the time it took to wash and style my hair! Absolutely would recommend Shear Impressions to anyone!

    This is where my son got his first haircut at 4, and he was smiling the whole time. This stylist did very well with him and gave us the cut we didnt even know we needed. He received compliments for weeks. I tried to go back here not too long ago and requested the same stylist, but she was gone.

    Update: June 2024Tami did it again! Im so in love with my hair! She truly knows what shes doing. She is so sweet to work with!     I’ve gone here three times. My first two times were for haircuts in a v-shape with Christina. She is very experienced and ensures she understands what you want. I always left extremely happy with my haircut. This previous time I got a balayage. I had gotten one a year and a half ago from a different salon and Christina did an amazing job not only with the color but blending what was already there from my previous balayage. I highly recommend.

    My search for a new stylist is over. Laura, the owner, listened so well to exactly what I wanted for my highlights even though I forgot the term babylights, and perfectly lightened my long roots as light as she possibly could before applying a custom color that came out wonderfully. I was so happy they had Olaplex to prevent breakage during and after the process.Laura even stayed late to give me a trim and style so I could really see the dimension in the color. It was a very fun experience, and I was amazed to learn that her husband and children work with her, so its truly a family salon. I wasnt surprised to learn that Laura was trained by Tony and Guy, as shes quite talented and knew exactly how to cut my fine hair (which can be tricky).I used to work in salons, so my standards are a bit higher than the average person, and I did look at others photos and reviews here to see her work before choosing to schedule with her. The pricing is what youd expect for Lauras level of skills. I recommend her to anyone who can afford her. I wish I had found her a decade ago!

    So glad we found Shear Impressions Salon. Our son was looking for a refresh for his mullet and had a bad experience at another salon. Laura carefully explained what her plan was after hearing our wishes and reviewing the pictures we brought as guidance. She was quick to put my son at ease and make him feel like part of the process. In the end we changed direction on one piece of the haircut based on her recommendation and boy was he glad he did. His mullet turned out amazing and the smile on his face at the end was priceless. Well be going back and bringing friends with us. Amazing experience, professional, but caring staff.

    This salon is AWESOME!! I was afraid to try somewhere as Ive had bad experiences in the past, but we couldnt have been in better hands!! My daughter had blonde highlights put in that turned out beautiful as did mine! Also, they knew so much about their trade as just after a few minutes with my hair they knew what was wrong. I had avoided moisture shampoos because I thought they would make my hair greasy, but they found me the right product (Pureology Hydrate) to both protect my highlights and combat dryness and my hair has never been better! Would HIGHLY recommend!! 😍👏👍

    Laura took the time and met with me prior to my service so that she could see my hair and offer me solutions/ options to help me achieve my goal of transitioning to gray. On the day of my appointment she again took the time to explain the process and to make certain that this was still what I wanted to do.     By far the best salon I have been to! I have been going on and off to shear impressions for about 3/4 years now. Richard does an amazing job with cuts and colors. He takes his time and pays close attention to detail. I’ve tried other salons and have never liked how my hair turns out after. He’s been the best stylist I’ve seen in Riverview/Tampa area. I highly recommend him or anyone he recommends.

    The salon is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. My hair is extremely fine and thin from weight loss and bleach that left my hair a brassy yellow color. It had been cut in a chopped up, Frankenstein-like pixie with very short bangs. My stylist today was Laura, the salon owner. She took a long time discussing color with me, and going over my options. The color we selected is a beautiful soft ash blond that came out looking just like she said it would. She also trimmed my hair and styled it into a look that will eventually be like Princess Diana wore. Amazingly, it is approaching that now and appears about 3 times thicker. Laura gave explanations every step of the way, and taught me how to replicate my style at home. I had a great experience and am thrilled with the result. Thank you Laura.

    Came here for the first time today desperately in need of a haircut, and left feeling like a million bucks! I was a bit nervous, as I have very thick and coarse (Asian) hair that a lot of stylists don’t know how to deal with. However, Richard did an amazing job and put a lot of care and effort into cutting each strand of my hair. I don’t remember the last time I received such a thorough haircut.     Finally someone who listened. Emily is great! This was my first time at Shear Impressions and I was able to get a same day appointment which is great with my busy schedule. Emily took the time to listen and even to give me a detailed consultation about their extensions, even though that wasnt part of the appointment. Best of all, she didnt chop of all of my length as so many have done int he past. She took the time to only cut what absolutely had to come off. Very happy with her, I will return!

    I forgot the name of my stylist, but I specifically asked for someone with experience with curly hair and she was awesome! She listened and cut my hair to what I wanted. I would say the only thing I wouldve liked is for her to apply some leave in conditioner to my hair afterwards or something to reduce the poof, but I did that at home on my wash day and it looked exactly how I wanted. I will be returning, and I recommend!Pricing was $30 for a male trim with a shampoo wash.

    Love love love! I have gone to Alexis for about 4 years & I refuse to go to anyone else. She has gotten me from my dark brown hair to full blond, pink hair, back to my natural dark brown, & now dark auburn.     I absolutely love the amazing staff! Since day 1 of coming here so that Laura could fix my hair that was damaged by another company I was welcomed in with open arms and with faith that it will all work out!     Yesterday was my second visit. They are so accommodating and Laura is very talented. I have a bad neck and we worked around it together. They made me feel at ease and that it isnt a big deal. My hair looks fantastic. Laura is very busy. So much so that Tammy is doing my hair next month because Laura is booked. Back with her in January. Already made my appointment! Left feeling like my hair was an asset and it felt great. Shop itself is lovely and well appointed. You should definitely consider making an appointment at Shear Impressions.     Amazing service. Tami was amazing, knows what she’s doing. I usually don’t trust people with my hair but Tami walked me through the process of everything we were doing to my hair and made sure i was happy.     Thank you so much to Alexis at Shear Impressions.I stumbled upon SI last year after going almost 3 years without any services to my hair due to the pandemic and having 2 babies. Last year Laura (the owner) worked her magic on this mommas hair and brought it back to life! Going through career transitions, I didn’t get to make it back for another service until today. Her daughter (Alexis) recently joined the team after working in cosmetology for years in St Pete.Alexis was just as amazing as Laura. Gave me exactly what I wanted. And made this momma feel beautiful again.Not to mention, the shop is so cute, I love that it is a family business, and the music was a vibe.     Had an appointment with the owner Laura today and to say I was impressed would be an understatement! I came in wanting brown hair with blonde and I had old red left in my hair. She was amazing from the second I sat in the chair. She explained everything to me and told me it would be difficult and a process but she would still have me leaving fabulous. We had great conversation and I left with the best hair cut I’ve ever gotten and no red in my hair! This is a family run salon and so welcoming. I watched her daughter do many clients today and she was just as talented as her mom! This salon I feel truly cares if you leave happy and enjoys what they do. ! FIVE STARS.

    I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am on so many levels with Shear Impressions Salon The first time I ever walked in their door I knew I had found the right place with the right people. The salon is so clean, well organized, beautiful decorated, and the music is great. Everyone there is so friendly, loving, and supportive. Laura Maes is a very knowledgeable and talented hair stylist as well as a beautiful person. I’ve been going there for over 6 months and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.     Laura is just wonderful! She walked me step by step through the whole process of coloring and cutting my hair. I’ve been on quite a journey with trying to get my curls back after years of heat and color damage.     I had not had my hair cut in a year and it was a dead, frizzy MESS. Laura fixed my out grown ombré by toning the outgrown blonde and added some darker colors as well. She gave me beautiful layers and I walked out feeling so much better about myself. Laura really took the time to listen to what I wanted and used that information along with her professional expertise to give me what I ultimately wanted (even though I know so little about styling that I didn’t really know where to begin in the process of reviving my frizz ball of hair).     First time coming into this place and it was a really nice set up. I got a cut and over all color with Richard. Really knowledgeable and friendly. My experience was overall great, from walking in the door, to getting my hair colored, hair washed and then cut. Atmosphere was relaxing, definitely felt very welcomed.     Back in April I made the mistake of having someone come to my house to do highlights in my hair . Needless to say the lady had no idea what she was doing and turned my hair every shade of orange . I desperately walked into Sheer impressions and Laura took care of me right away.     Laura did a phenomenal job cutting my 2C/3A curly hair. She was very knowledgeable and is Deva certified! I looked into other salons in the area that cut curly hair and they were charging $150+ just for a cut. This salon was a much better price and still had all the expertise on curly hair.     I have never had such excellent service. I feel as if they really care about the outcome of their service. Family owned and it shows as they are very personable and warm. They take the time to really listen to what you want. I went very short compared to the hairstyle I walked in with and my stylist wanted to make sure I was comfortable so she cut it a little longer so I could try on my new style first. I was very relieved after the cut because it was a dramatic change. They are a bit pricey but I would actually pay more for the service I received as you have to live with the style you walk out with for a while and they get it right. I absolutely LOVE my new cut and will be returning to get it a little shorter as my stylist said I could do so in 2 weeks if I wanted. She wanted to make sure I was comfortable with the current length first. In addition, I have already booked another appointment for highlights. Cant wait to return. Well worth money spent. This is my families one and only hair salon from now on.

    This salon is amazing and so is Alexis! I have been very hesitant to get my hair done since I moved to Brandon. But I am very happy I did my research and decided this was the place to try because I will be going back for all my hair needs! My hair looks and feels fantastic. And the prices are very reasonable! Alexis explained to me everything that she was doing and why she was doing it which is great. And she was fun to talk to! I showed her pictures of what I was thinking and asked for her thoughts and the results are amazing. I asked her for a trim but to try to keep as much length as possible and she did exactly that, somehow she trimmed everything to look and feel healthy but doesnt look one bit shorter! I usually try to wait as long as possible to get my hair done, but I cant wait to go back!

    I took my daughter to have her hair cut at Shear Impressions and it was a GREAT experience. She was going for a drastic change, long hair to VERY short so I was worried. The entire staff at SIS made us very comfortable. They are very friendly, honest, professional and knowledgeable! All of the changes that Laura warned us that my daughters hair would experience (shock) have but because she took the time to explain this to us ahead of time it has made the transition from long to short less scary and much easier for my daughter (and me). The cut is great and looks beautiful!!! My daughter has not stopped smiling since we left the salon!!! She cannot wait to go back and visit again. She just turned 14 and says she has found her salon.     My hair is manageable and even after Laura worked her magic yesterday! I now have an even, classic, layered bob that will be easy to grow out. This is where 20+ of experience really shows and shines :-). I arrived at the salon with crazy layers and uneven hair after several other hairstylists had missed the mark. I was anxious about getting yet another haircut...Laura assessed my situation and was assertive about her recommendation because she knew what I needed. She also listened to me and took my hair texture and routine into consideration. Initially, I was resistant to the idea of cutting 1 inch of hair (my hair is already short) but her logic made total sense so I went for it. She executed the cut with confidence and precision.     I had the best salon experience with Tami Vomaro ! She is not just insanely talented and sweet, but she is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to hair!!     Today I walked in for a haircut and I was thinking about getting some color done. Chrissy took great care of me! We talked about what I liked for my hair and then she instantly had a vision for something wonderful. I could really trust her expertise on what would look right on me.     I recently moved to Riverview and was super nervous about finding a new hair salon. It has been a while since I have had my hair done and I knew it needed some love! I read the reviews on Shear Impressions and decided to try it. My stylist was Christina and I cannot say enough good things about her!! I went ginger/copper today which is very different from my blonde/brunette colors. Christina was amazing! She took all the words I said such as, “lighter than this… darker than that… but not to dark… also not too orange”. She understood completely. Even when I got nervous while the color was on my hair she was like “don’t worry trust the process”, boy was she right! I AM IN LOVE WITH MY HAIR. From cut to color! I haven’t stopped looking at it.     First client impressions, the place and hair stylist was great! I was a bit hesitant about going here because I had never been but my feelings quickly changed when walking out.     I’ve finally found my salon and my stylist!!! Laura came highly recommended by a friend of mine about 1.5 to 2 years ago. I have had a lot of bad hair experiences over the years; it was nerve wrecking when it came time to have my hair cut/colored. For my first appointment, I decided to start slow with just a cut. I came in with a few pictures of what I wanted. Laura and I discussed my options based on the length of my hair, its texture, and even the shape of my face and length of my neck.     I just moved here and I went to another stylist at another salon and I asked them to just cut off 4 inches and they completely messed up my hair. I looked online for a salon close by with good reviews and the reviews were great for this place and they were not wrong! So I called Shear Impressions two days after my first botched hair cut. I called Friday morning and they were able to fit me in later that day! Laura was great and completely fixed my botched hair and saved it from disaster.     My first time going to Shear Impressions was this past Saturday. I had been wanting a change for a while and finally decided to find a trusted stylist using Google, of course. I made my appointment last week with my stylist, Alexis and they were able to get me in Saturday afternoon. Alexis was very friendly, super educated and knowledgeable, and very professional. She was ready when I arrived, she listened to my wants and gave me appropriate advice. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted when I got there but Alexis truly guided me through the process and recommended that I get a cut with layers to accentuate my features. The whole experience was comfortable, pleasant, and convenient. I was in and out and the final product was just what I needed. I’m not lying when I say I left there feeling rejuvenated. 10/10 would recommend Alexis. This is my new home salon.

    I’m in love with this place! My hairdresser from another salon retired and I needed to find a new hairstylist (and one that was closer to home too.) I scheduled an apt here with Alexis. She is so sweet and very easy to chat with. The vibe here is really relaxing and peaceful. Alexis knew exactly what I wanted with my hair and this is by far, the best hair cut I’ve had in a long time.     I would highly recommend this salon. Ive been taking my daughter here for awhile and have always loved the work they do on her very thick hair. I decided to try their extensions. The price was lower than other salons in the area and the quality is outstanding.     I went in as a first time client (because the reviews were so great), and I will go back to Alexis for as long as I reside in FL. She gave me lowlights to tone down my previously heavy highlights/grow-out and to add dimension.     After going to several salons around the Valrico/Brandon/Riverview area and dealing with stylists that either don’t know how to do a Brazilian Blowout besides reading the side of a bottle or aren’t experienced enough to be a “qualified Master Stylist,” I am happy to have finally found the salon that every woman is looking for. Laura was extremely accommodating, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the Brazilian Blowout. She is very attentive and made sure I was going to leave happy. Laura and her husband, Richard, do excellent styling and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a salon they will want to come back to.     I was displaced to a Tampa Hotel as a result of Hurricane Ian. I have short hair that gets a few spikes on top. Worn this way at my advanced age because I have 11 cowlicks. We were headed for a 7 week vacation so I was extraordinarily particular about my cut. I picked Shear Impressions due to its proximity to our hotel and the number of rave reviews. I also needed the old age perpetual facial waxing. I am soooooo glad I happened upon this place.Tami was gentle and slow with the waxing … no pain!! And my hair cut is awesome. Were I not leaving Florida, I’d return here in a heartbeat! Simply can’t say enough.

    My experience there was amazing! I actually didn’t feel that nervous cutting my short for the first time . I am very cautious when it comes to hairstylist touching my hair.     Alexis was fantastic. I felt very welcome and comfortable while there. Trying to hide the grays can be a challenge and she did it flawlessly. The compliments are non stop.     I went to bleu salon and they didnt cut my hair right so I googled reviews and this place Shear Impressions had nothing but good comments and reviews so I booked an appointment with Christina and she gave me a long Bob and it was great! She took her time and made sure it was done right. The owner even lathered me up in a deep conditioner while I waited for her to come in early. Excellent experience and excellent customer service! ***Update*** I went back for the 2nd time to Christina and got a little different of a cut and again I was very happy! I have definitely found my stylist!! :)

    I have trusted Christina A. with my hair for years. Ive been every color you can think of. Ive had ombre, highlights, baby lights, balayage, smudged roots... Every time I change my color she does an excellent job and uses the right products to keep my hair safe during the process. Ive never had a better haircut in my life. Shes honestly the best!     Just went back to Salon recently to get my hair dyed w/highlights & had Brazilian Blowout done again both by Richard. It had been about a year since I last had my hair done this way & if I can help it I wont go that long in between again ever. They didnt have the shampoo & conditioner in for Brazilian Blowout, but Richard recommended getting Pureology which I did & I absolutely love it. Its just as good as Brazilian Blowout if not better. I love this Salon & I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. Love u guys/ladies your awesome.

    🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I have lived in the area for a little over a yr & I had a hairdresser I liked but she worked fairly far away & was hard to get into so I was looking for someone in Brandon that was AMAZING, I got a referral on a local FB group for another salon in Brandon & schedule a haircut for NYE & when I went in I liked the salon & the girl ok but she HACKED my hair BAD, my hair had not been cut in 5 mos bc I was growing it out some & looking for a new hairdresser, the last girl who cut it (at yet another salon) did great on the cut but not so much on my color so I wasn’t interested in going back to her....So yesterday (NYE) after getting it cut (at the other Brandon salon) then getting in my car and seeing my hair @ 3pm I panicked & I called Shear Impressions after a google search said that it was nearby & it also said they were open, I was completely desperate bc I couldn’t keep my hair how it was...I literally left that other salon with my hair in a pony tail which I’ve NEVER done EVER BEFORE....& all I have to say is PRAISE GOD for Laura & Shear Impressions, she was so kind when I called & she told me to come in she would help me....I’m not gonna lie, I almost didn’t go out of fear of it being messed up worse & the thought of having to pay more money for a second haircut (the girl that messed it up was contacted and didn’t even offer part of my money back but offered to re-cut it...ummm NO 🤬)I am SOOO glad I went! Laura was AMAZING & worth every single penny that I pd for that “Second” haircut....she & the gentleman that was in there working were both so kind & understanding & that messed up, hacked up, haircut ended up being a complete blessing bc I found my hair salon home....My hair has not looked this good in yrs!!!     For the past 5 years I have ONLY been going to Christina Azmitia to get my hair done. And I live in Chicago. This is saying a lot.Every time I visit family in Tampa I book an appt. with Christina, simply because she is the absolute most PATIENT, friendly, talented, communicative stylist I have ever had cut my hair (Im 30.)Do you want to just relax/chill and nod off while getting your hair cut and not feel awkward about it? Or do you like to chat while getting your bangs trimmed? Either way, Christina is awesome. I have definitely fell asleep in her chair, and we have also gossiped the entire time.Did I mention Im also notoriously picky about my hair? I am the person that cries after getting my hair cut because the stylist trimmed too much, or gave me round angled layers instead of square. Christina asks questions - clarifies before doing anything - that is BIG! BIG!!!!Bottom line is: Highly recommend her service. Five stars. *two thumbs up*. Especially if youre particular about your locks - book an appt.!

    Christy was so nice and she knew what to do! I got my hair done 1 year ago and I hated how it came out... But christy knew what to do with my “virgin” hair and I can’t wait to be back.     We relocated to Florida from Minnesota and had 3 cuts at this place. The 1st was my wife going in alone for a cut, wash and style for $55, which was reasonable and fine. The 2nd time was for both myself and our 3 year old boy and the cuts were fine again, but what surprised me was the pricing. The owners daughter rang us up for $65 for both cuts. There was no pricing listed so it was hard to know what the pricing is. Anyways just thought that it was quite spendy for 1 adult and 1 Child. I got a cut and shampoo and my kid just got a cut and style. On top of that I tipped $10 because I tip for good service.
