I have super thick super curly textured hair and I am VERY picky about stylists. New to the area, I called a couple places and finally found Neilie at KMS. Omg so my hair was long past my waist and the curls were messed up beyond repair. Neilie actually knows curls! People say they do and they don’t but SHE DOES! She stayed late fixing my hair and gave me the prob best haircut I’ve ever gotten tbh. I liked it so much, I called her right back to schedule getting it colored. Dude call this place for Neilie she seriously is amazing!

Kasie Saunders is a wonder worker with hair! I came in today for a cut and color, and I have never been more happy with the outcome of a salon experience than I was today with this one. She placed my highlights perfectly and with a lot of attention to how my hair naturally falls. She cut it beautifully with the ideal amount of layers suited to me.The ambiance of the salon feels very cozy yet glamorous with handpainted black and white portraits that her (also talented) daughter painted. A glass of wine is included in the visit as well.Unfortunately I live in New York but I would HIGHLY recommend KMS Hair Studio to anyone in the St. Augustine area. Be sure to make an appointment!

Neilie was amazing today! From start to finish, the experience was positive. She first spent time talking through what I wanted to do with my hair. She was professional and I loved the insights she shared on my hair color and what I could do to improve the texture, color and overall look. I scheduled an appointment while staying in St Augustine for a vacation with my mom. We had a small scheduling hiccup and the owner was extremely accommodating and came in on a Sunday to complete our services. It was very impressive that she took the time to see us even though she knew we would not become regular clients as we do not live locally. She did an amazing job and really took her time and accomplished exactly what we asked for. We will definitely be back to visit her when we are back in St. Augustine next year. Highly recommend 10/10!

Full disclosure: I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my hair! Stylist Neilie is the absolute BEST when it comes to cuts and color!! She also offers a phenomenal hair care line, which I purchase regularly. She cuts my entire familys hair and we all have very different needs. She really listens to her clients regarding their wishes in style and color. She is also an absolute BLAST to be around and I always leave her salon with a huge smile on my face!

I went to KMS Hair Studio looking for a whole new look/cut. I went to the studio in person and met with Neille. She was able to fit me in the following day. She was funny, professional, and extremely talented. She asked me for thoughts on what I was thinking. She thought about it. She said she had a vision and went to work. My husband was with me and watched the process. We both were in awe of the turnout. She is a master at color and cut. I left there dancing. I was extremely happy with the outcome. She is nothing less than amazing! If you are looking for a new look with great color she is the woman for you.While I was there kasie, did two different cuts/styles on a few woman and she also has big talent. The cuts and styles were stunning.These two woman have great talent and you can’t go wrong with either one of them.

This place is top notch! I walked in right before Christmas to schedule an appointment. And the schedule was full for weeks. Neilie was so nice she had me come back at the end of her already booked schedule and stayed late to color and cut my hair. We were there until after 9pm not once did I feel rushed or like she didnt want to be there. She was so nice, she talked with me the whole time and made me feel very comfortable.My hair was a mess, horrible split ends that were traveling right up my head, dry, frizzy. I absolutely hated my hair. One visit with Neilie changed everything. My hair is so soft and feels so healthy. I am doing things with my hair I havent been able to do in years! I love every bit of it. I will never go anywhere else again. I cant say thank you enough! Ladies if you feel like your hair needs some love, run to this salon as fast as you can! I visited Nelie at KMS salon yesterday.I had a Fantastic experience.As a sufferer for years with scalp psoriasis, hair appointment were not always a pleasant experience. A week of redness, itching and inflammation along with $200 a bottle of prescription shampoo always followed my visits to other salons.Then I found Nelie, at KMS. She was everything I could have wished for.Full color & highlights & haircut . Absolutely,No redness, itching or inflammation. The products Nelie uses are quality as well as all natural.I recommend Nelie to everyone. She is an amazing stylist. Don’t hesitate to ask for Nelie, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is fantastic, and Neilie especially has given me the best haircuts of my life!I have really, really thick black hair that nobody ever seems to know what to do with. Neilie is the only person Ive ever gotten a haircut from that looked amazing for literally months afterwards. By far one of the best experiences I’ve had at a salon! I got my hair done by Kasie, she did my hair exactly how I wanted it, colored it a bright cherry red and cut off at the dead ends. I have been going to Neilie at KMS Studio since she moved to this location. The space is cool yet homey and comfortable which is what feels best to me when getting my hair done. They always offer you something to drink and I love having a glass of wine while waiting or in the chair. The other clients are friendly and will chat if you are interested. What has impressed me is how Neilie effortlessly works on such a variety of clients and hair types. My hair is fine and short, I have seen her do amazing things with color, with cuts, straight, curly etc.. She uses really great products that make your hair feel fantastic. KMS and Neilie are another little gem in St. Augustine!

She did an amazing job matching the color I have (some shade of red) and is very no-nonsense, with excellent service.Bonus, my hair is ultra baby soft because of the products she used.Support small businesses! I went to Neilie to get my highlights done and she is AMAZING !!! I have naturally curly puerto rican hair and it is so difficult to find someone who knows how to take care of it properly and Neilie really impressed me! She gave me exactly what i asked for and with my hair being so difficult for many people, Neilie had no issues and made me feel so comfortable. Neilie also has such a great personality and made it feel like I was getting my hair done by a friend. While I usually dread sitting in a chair for hours getting my hair done, Neilie made it an enjoyable experience and made the hours there feel like minutes. I am new to the area and had my hair cut by Neilie at KMS Hair Studio. I will be back for sure. On fun and funky Anastasia Blvd., the somewhat rough exterior of the salon hides the cool and comfortable studio inside. I was offered a beverage, and sipped my wine while Neilie finished up her client’s short bob. Stylists and customers exchanged easy conversation and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place during my short wait. Neilie took the time to listen to my preferences for a cut, which does not always guarantee you’ll leave with what you want. In Neilie’s case, she hit it spot on. I left with my shoulder length hair reshaped into soft layers that encourage a wave and my overgrown bangs cut just right. Neilie is very relatable, pleasant and easy to talk to. The cost is reasonable for a really good cut and you’ll be glad to have found this salon and stylist.

I tried several salons after moving to the St. Augustine area from Atlanta. Look no further because Neilie is THE BEST. We always start with a chat about what my goals are (am I looking for change, what is working or not working caring for my current style, etc.) and I love how she listens. She offers advice when I am indecisive and makes suggestions about what will work best for my hair type and shape of face, etc. Neilie is a true artist in the way she cuts hair - experience and inspiration are her guide. She takes the time to refine and really make sure you get exactly what you wanted. I have a short spunky style with beautiful color while my daughter has long layers and curtain bangs. Neilie does it all. Not to mention she asks what music you want to listen to and is happy to have a great conversation or let you enjoy some quiet time - whatever your mood. NEILIE solved my year long hair problem. Color and highlights can take on unflattering shades due to the sun and hair styling products. Ive been living with a mess for over a year and have been to colorists from Boston to Rhode Island to CT. I found NEILIE by looking at reviews and took a chance as I had nothing to lose. Her skill is spot on creating a color amazingly suitable for my skin tone, eyes and hair style. If you are within driving distance of 100+ miles or more then making a trek to see her will be time well spent!

I have followed this creative, talented hair artist for 5 years and am delighted she is now in a salon in my neighborhood - but I would follow Neilie to the moon.Neilie restored my hair from some pretty harsh home treatment this past year and she has me looking gorgeous!Neilie color techniques -highlights, lowlights, blending and toning - are natural looking. Neilie gives the best haircut to be had for curly, unruly hair such as mine. The products that Neilie sells are not offered elsewhere in this vicinity - her shampoo and conditioner have eliminated the need for any other product on my dry hair. No more frizz! Thank you Neilie.
