Ashlee is an incredibly gifted stylist. She has an amazing intuition with haircuts and color/highlights.While traveling Ive worked with other stylists and Ive found none that compare to her skills. She is the absolute best! She is also so funny and easy to be around.She was great with my kids too.The Hive salon has a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I look forward to my next appointment!

I love getting my hair done here! Ashlee is so talented and has knocked it out of the park with my keratin treatments, highlights, and cuts. Everything about this place is welcoming, and parking is very easy as well. Youd be in great hands with anyone at this salon!

Laura and the team at Hive are incredibly talented! She always listens closely to what I’m looking for, whether it’s an updo, new hairstyle or a trim. She also taught me how to finally manage my wavy/curly hair in the Florida heat. Couldn’t recommend the salon more!

Cassandra has done my hair for 2 years now and helped cure it of years of heat damage that it’s the healthiest it’s ever been! I always LOVE the colors she does on my hair, pics are recently from my wedding two weeks after a color appointment with her and I couldn’t be happier with how it looked! She is always a joy to see and the Hive is a great atmosphere, 10/10 recommend!

Update: Ive been going here for almost 3 years and still absolutely LOVE the Hive. Its a great group of creative stylists and a fun atmosphere. I still go to Laura and yes, she is still priceless!Laura is priceless! She is helping me recover from a bad haircut I got before I moved here without all the awkward stages. The color is fantastic and exactly what I wanted. I can not say enough good things about her skills. Plus, shes a wonderful person to talk to 😀

Cassandra has been doing my hair for a while now and I cant say enough nice things about her. She takes time to really understand what look youre going for, is very honest about what cant and can be done and is very knowledgable. I always leave with great hair and a good experience. Plus, shes super nice! The salon is adorable too.

This place is a little gem in St Pete. Ashlee and Laura are both really pleasant to be around, and incredibly talented. I always absolutely love my cut and color, and I recently had extensions done by Ashlee. Theyre perfect!The salon itself is so cute and welcoming. If youre looking for your new salon home, or you just really need your hair done while youre in town, you cant go wrong at The Hive!

What a fantastic salon!! The space is beautifully chic, and the team makes you feel right at home. Scheduling is a breeze, the scalp massages are phenomenal, and I am over the moon happy with my cut. I’m in the process of growing out my bangs, and Cassandra knew just what to do to make new curtain bangs pop. The ladies are incredibly knowledgeable about products, treatments, and different hair types, and ask all the right questions to give you the look you need for your lifestyle. Not to mention the energy in there is so enjoyable!! Thank you for a wonderful experience; I’ll see you soon for my next appointment!

I loveee this salon! growing up my parents only ever took me to generic areas like super cuts before school time (and i always hated it). i grew out my hair to my waist and in march decided it was time to cut. i recently went back to trim because i loved it so much and i cannot express how good the experience is! i was remembered from my appointment 6 months ago and they were even lenient with rescheduling due to dental work! as long as i’m in the area i’ll always choose to schedule here. always really nice and a fun time

The Hive is the best hair salon in St. Pete! I get my haircut by Ashlee and she always does an amazing job, not to mention she’s hilarious and a great person to be around. I’m so glad my friend referred me to this place. The pre-haircut head massage is the best!

I moved to Florida about 11 months ago from New York, I am use to going to high end salons.After trying several salons with bad results. I thought I was doomed to have to fly to NY to get my hair done. I was at an event when I met Laura and asked her who did her hair. I was ecstatic to learn she was a hair dresser. I made an appointment and never looked back.I got hair extensions and color. I love it and it was the best thing I ever did to invest in myself. Easy to maintain and affordable. I never told her what I wanted but she did exactly what made me look beautiful was the most amazing wonderful experience and I will never go to another hair dresser in Florida. She is a high end hairstylist with reasonable prices and you always leave her salon feeling beautiful!!I recommend several people to Laura and Ashlee. Every head of hair they touched they transform into sea of beauty. They both are incredible hairdressers with years of experience and are color experts.You will regret it if you don’t try them!! Both these ladies are amazing and have wonderful personalities as well!Alanna Campbell

I have had the pleasure of having my hair done by Ashlee, Laura and Cassandra as we have known each other for years. I cant recommend all three of them enough. The most talented girls I know!The salon is tops. Most comfortable chairs, chill atmosphere, you feel at home.

I moved to St. Pete a few months ago. My best friend back home owned her own salon and took extra good care of me, so I was anxious about letting a stranger touch my blonde. I tried another salon about 2 months ago and had a tragic experience with another stylist... she destroyed my hair. I had multiple professionals agree. Laura got me in and fixed my hair to a PERFECT icy platinum blonde. She took extra care not to damage (more) my fragile strands. She was extremely detail oriented and knew what she was doing for sure. The salon is super cute and relaxing. Laura and Ashley are both very professional and friendly. These girls know what they are doing!! Would definitely recommend!!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would ☺️☺️☺️

I am not a person who frequents the salon, as I find many times the experience feels very cliquish and uncomfortable. The minute I walked through the door I felt very welcomed and I loved the atmosphere. I walked away with a hairstyle I absolutely love and I will not be going anywhere else! Lauras talents are Epic! Shes a great stylist and a bright spot in any day. With curly hair that grows in random directions - picture a rough guinea pig - Laura is the only stylist Ive ever found who could tame it. Thanks Laura! Love your place!

I had my hair done at The Hive Salon last weekend and Im still obsessing over it. Cassandra was wonderful! She listened to exactly what I was looking to have done and did it perfectly. Laura is amazing and has the biggest heart ❤️! She and I work out at the same gym. I have a friend who has recently started chemo and started to lose her hair. I asked Laura yesterday if she might be available to come to my friends house today for a small gathering to shave her head. Not only did she not accept payment for her time and service, she refused the tips collected by our friends and insisted that they were applied to a “fun” wig fund. She made the entire experience so beautiful!! Thank you, Laura!

What a great shop. Not only was it adorable but my haircut was EXACTLY how I expected it. I have stubborn hair and Cassandra did not fail. I was referred here by a friend and she recommended all the stylists. The price was higher than most, but I will continue to go back thanks to Cassandra’s skills and personality!

Ashley does the best highlights I’ve seen in my life. She is so detail oriented that it looks natural only way better then what you were born with. I have long somewhat ombré highlights that she maintains beautifully. She is also a fantastic makeup artist!

All I can say is WOW! I flew in from North Carolina to be pampered by Laura based on a friend’s recommendation. After months of neglect during the quarantine, did I need it. While my hair now looks gorgeous, with perfect blond highlights, what’s even better is how I feel on the inside! After moving to St Pete I tried soooo many hair salons until I got to the Hive. I loved the vibe and the sense of a local shop. Ashley understood exactly what I needed and was able to fix my hair after a few homemade quarantine cuts. Im excited to have found my salon in St Pete and Ill definitely go back as soon as I can.

I am at a loss of words for how amazing this salon is. A stylist at another company ruined my hair. She turned it purple, gray and gold ( I am a blonde and just wanted to be a bright blonde). I had an important business meeting and was panicking because everyone was booked. I called Laura and she was able to get me in with Em.They both were so BEYOND helpful, on time, supportive, sweet as can be, personable AND knew what to do to fix my hair. What I also liked was while Em consulted on what we can do to get me to the color I want to be she didnt push me to have it done that day. She suggested to give my hair a break and come back when I was ready for my coloring again. Anyone who puts the wellbeing of my hair over making more money has my business for life.I walked in there looking like a cartoon character, literally mortified but walked out beautiful. I cant wait to go back. The salon itself is so adorable !!! LOVE everything about my experience with them.
