    Lisa is one of the most skilled folks to ever touch my hair and Im 67! She also owns super-hip Modern Man. I have very wavy and curly hair that few can tame. She is not cheap but incredibly talented. You will be lucky if you become a regular!And as good looking as a good coif can bestow! Lisa said: The good looking guys all get their hair cut here. Truth, not arrogance 😁

    This is a very cool place. John is my barber and he is exceptional. Tremendous precision and Care in your haircut, accomplishes the goal set forth. The environment inside is very welcoming and tranquil, and the best way to manage your haircuts is with an appointment. The pricing is competitive with other places, but the quality of your haircut cannot be beat! I highly recommend this place.

    This place is great. Excellent atmosphere and friendly, professional staff. Im not a social butterfly and the staff here put me at ease immediately. Great haircuts, reasonable pricing, this will be my go to shop as long as Im in the area. Just a great vibe in general 6 and the way theyve set it up, its almost like stepping back in time (in a great way). Youll see what I mean when you walk through the door.

    Best Hair Cuts I’ve ever received in my 63 years if life. Excellent attention to detail and extra services, hot towels, shoulder massage, anointed with oil before leaving. Great banter and fun. I feel totally pampered and looked after when I leave. Incredible Interior Design and Theming, I feel like I’ve stepped in to another time from the past - perhaps into a Jules Verne novel.     The owner cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. I really should elaborate, it was not just a haircut but a hair styling or how she put it; sculptured. The conversation was very enjoyable. The atmosphere is perfect to help you relax during your haircut.

    I just had the best haircut here at the modern man. The staff is a step above any competition in the area if any. Tara was the best .Im a travel agent and I get asked many times by customers, where should we go for food , resorts and barber shops . And I have to say this place made it to my very short list of go to places.I highly recommend The Modern Man Grooming.Me and my wife felt very welcomed by I believe was the owner. As a walk in 1 hour before closing ,we were quickly taken care of. The stylist Tara was awesome. We had a great experience and when the wife says she loves this place and we are going back, thats it Im sold.     Lisa and Tara are awesome!! Lisa who owns it set me up with Tara..Tara is sooo rad!!! She gave me one of my best cuts in years!! Im former military..attention to detail is key!! She didnt miss anything!! So happy I highly recommend...I recommend an appointment..thatsts how great they are!!

    Needed to find a place to get my son’s haircut before he started back at Eckerd College. Found The Modern Man on Google and called and left a message. The owner Lisa texted back quickly and we were able to get an appointment later that same day. John did a phenomenal job on my son’s hair(not an easy task for a teenager). I was able to get a haircut too. John did such a great job I feel like I need to fly back to Gulfport for all my future haircuts! Thanks Lisa and John.

    Highly recommended! Albert did not just cut my hair, he STYLED it. He gave me a new modern look exactly as I asked him to. He was excited as I was with my new look! Very attentive to detail, friendly and a great relaxed atmosphere in a contemporary salon.

    Ive been coming here when Im in townFor about 1.5 years. These young ladies are the whole package! Nice, highly skilled, creative, their skills are obvious via their relaxed and confident nature, and just all around highly skilled and Good people. I travelAll Over so I have many barbers in several states! I hold off to come here. Every time I am extremely pleased! The place is immaculate and overflowing with style, original and unique themed accruements! It truly reflects the name of the place! Great place, great people, great value, very accommodating schedule, making it happen, and I HIGHLY recommend them!     Im not from the area and had to play the old pin the tail on a decent barber shop in a unfamiliar city game. I dont know if there are other barber shops in Gulfport, but this one is definitely the best. It was a truly PROFESSIONAL experience and hair cut. The seriously cool theme and decor in there can only be overshadowed by the haircuts. Lisa and her right-hand-man were Legit. So much so that I just left my first and last google review ever.

    Husband called after reading reviews, it was a last minute thing. The lady Lisa who answered the fone was very kind & accomadated my husband to go get a hair cut. He was very satisfied,also being old school loves sraight edge shaves was happy for they do give them in this place. Awesome service & great atmosphere.     I only have great things to say about Modern Man Grooming Salon. When I retired, I decided to grow a beard...my goal was David Letterman. Tara was able to make me look from homeless to hip. Great people, fun experience...five stars.

    Amazing place, did a magnificent job! Although I have to get use to people commenting (positively) on my hair. Im just not use to that. Lol. Will definitely be going back. This is the second time Ive written this review because the last time it didnt save I guess. But this place is worth the effort to come back and make sure it gets the positive review it deserves.
