I have found my braid shop and if youre looking for one in Central Florida Theresse African Hair Braiding is the spot. Just got my hair braided Thursday and she did a wonderful job. Super fast and very professional. My hair came out beautifully and very neat. Cant wait to go back for my next style.

Hidden gem! A friend of mine recommended me to this place and I’m glad she did. At first I was a little skeptical after reading some of (older) reviews and previous experience with another African braider but I decided to give them a call. I called on a Friday to schedule an appointment and the owner Theresse was able to quickly get me scheduled for the following Tuesday for small plaits/box braids. Upon arrival, Theresse greeted me and informed me that another braider name Angie would be braiding my hair since she was busy braiding another client’s hair. Once seated in Angie’s chair, I was able to pick which size plaits/braids I wanted. They do have a ring of braid sizes so that you can visually see the various sizes. Once I decided on the size, the owner gave me a price and I agreed. Angie started working on my hair around 10am and wrapped up around 6pm with minimal stopping (not that I wanted her to continuously braid since I believe everyone deserves a break while working). The most important thing of all was that Angie DOES NOT braid tight at all!!!! Once everything was done, I could blink my eyes and rotate my neck from left to right! She was even kind enough to ask me if I wanted her to grip my edges in which I opted not to. I plan on returning around week # 5 or 6 for a touch up around the perimeter of my head for a cleaner look. I would highly recommend Angie as she is very skilled and efficient! Although the owner Theresse has never braided my hair, I have heard great things about her from my friend that also goes to this salon. As for Angie, she is awesome and highly recommended!! I will be returning in the future.

Used to braid my hair with her and love her work. Popped in to get crochet hair( this last visit). She has a variety of hair products. She is very sweet. She gifted my daughter pretty Ribbons when I told her she was turning 3.

Theresse was ready and waiting when my daughter and I arrived. She promptly started on my hair and the stylist who braided my daughters hair arrived shortly after and even apologized for running a bit late (which wasn’t that late at all)! Theresse and the ladies were both professional and pleasant. We also had great conversations while they were braiding. No time or money was wasted with our visit!! We are completely satisfied with the finished product and will definitely be returning.Thank you

Im surprised at negative reviews. Ive been getting my hair braided here for at least 3-4 years. The owner braids very neat and I have never been let down by the quality of work from the other braiders. Pros: quality, you get what you ask for (they will let you know up front if they cannot do a style), fast braiders, and they dont catch your baby hairs as much as I have had from other briaders ( = less breakage and a healthy crown). Cons: Once in all the times I have been going they did arrive late, but only by 5 minutes. And they are not always warm and bubbly. They are not mean, just not bubbly. But that has never bothered me as I attribute that to fatigue from hours of standing and braiding.
