Emily is absolutely fabulous!! I had a touch up before leaving on vacation and it was almost better than my initial session of coloring my hair. I cannot recommend Lauren (Lo) highly enough! She is an absolute expert when it comes to blonding, always achieving the perfect shade with stunning dimension. What really sets her apart is her incredible skill with curly hair. She knows exactly how to work with natural texture, making sure my curls look healthy, defined, and full of life every time I leave her chair. She listens carefully to what I want and consistently delivers beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands blonding and curly hair, Lo is the one!

Emily Cashion is a phenomenal stylist! Her attention to detail is beyond her years. She is the first stylist who paid attention to the whole experience and was gentle! This salon offers complementary espresso which she so kindly offered to me. I couldn’t recommend a stylist better than Emily Cashion :)

Kimberley is the whole package! Not only are her hair coloring and styling skills excellent, Kim is also patient, she listens & understands one’s concerns & desires, and provides great feedback & suggestions. Kim is professional, kind, and relatable. You will always be pampered in her chair. When I sit in her chair, she always manages to make me forget about my worries and makes me feel like a queen! Oh, and the cafecito is 🙌. Kimberley is truly gifted! I can’t wait for my next hair appointment with her!

I honestly was attracted to the ambiance at first, but Emily Cashion did a fabulous job on my hair! We went super short and she taught me how to style my hair before I left. She was so fun to talk with and I look forward to seeing her again.

I followed my hair stylist to this salon, and it is beautiful. Andie Swanson is my hair stylist, and she is very good at her job. Shes very kind and thoughtful. I have health issues that make it difficult for me to get my hair done, and she makes sure that I am comfortable. My mother in law gets her hair done by her now. The salon is very unique inside and clean.

Brenna is amazing! She has cut and styled mine, my daughter and my sons hair! The kids love her (their teenagers and are very particular about their hair). They love their new style and Brenna finds a way to connect with them..and listens to what they want! We will definitely be back to see her! You should definitely go see her for your hair needs! Shes just amazing and talented!

Had my hair botched by a different salon so I let it grow out, then came here to get it fixed. Brenna did an amazing job. She was so personable and understanding of my situation. She showed good understanding as to what I was looking for and she was able to slay my hair. I finally feel pretty again.

Whether you’re there for a cut or the coffee VMZ is doing it right. Atmosphere 10, Friendliness of staff 10, Cuban Coffee 10000000!!!! Eric provides a calm and chill experience for your cut. Not rushed or messy. Vanessa is extremely courteous and friendly and all staff were so nice. If you’re considering trying a new barber, hair stylist, or more this is a place to commit too. Thanks again for the hospitality and my god the coffee was amazing!!!!! Probably could have ran two marathons and still have plenty in the tank for another one. Thank you VMZ.

From the moment I entered salon, I experienced a friendly and open atmosphere. Everyone was working hard, but also having a good time. Workers and customers alike. Kimberley has done my hair several times, and is a very gifted stylist. Everyone else has also been very pleasant and welcoming. I would recommend her and the salon to anyone.

Ive had atleast 6 visits since my initial review and each visit has been hands down the best. No complaints whatsoever, and Im a picky individual. Im very particular and being new to the sanford area, it took me a while to finally decide on a new place to take a chance on. Im glad I took a chance on this salon. As soon as you walk in, youre hit with a calming atmosphere and everyone is really kind. Eric is the first master barber to cut my hair and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. He ensures he understands what youre looking for before getting started, provides honest feedback and is always meticulous about the little details start to finish. I also love being able to schedule my appointments online, and weve started on time for each of my visits (bonus points my book). Everyone is incredibly friendly and theres never any of the typical drama you tend to see in other hair salons. If youre looking for a new look or a simple clean-up, I highly recommend VMZ Barber and Beauty.

First timer and I Absolutely LOOOOOOVED Brenna!! She made me feel like a princess 👸🏻, really listened to what I wanted/needed, and most importantly, she DELIVERED!! I needed just a trim to make my ends look healthier without sacrificing much length, and I can’t even tell my hair is “shorter.” 100% recommended. Also, very friendly people! 10/10

Got my haircut, bread trim, and eyebrows done by Eric Mendez, best haircut I’ve gotten in a LONG time (potentially ever honestly). He really listens to what you want, delivers with a super clean cut, and is genuinely such an approachable and fun person to talk with. Couldn’t recommend him more! I cannot say enough good things about this place and it’s owner. It is such a cute salon, I absolutely love the interior design of it. I couldn’t stop looking at all the little details. Vanessa’s love and talent for what she does shows through in every corner of the salon and her work. This was my first time meeting Vanessa and it was as if we had been great friends. She is so friendly and welcoming, there was never any awkward silence. She listened to everything I said I wanted (most of my previous stylists didn’t do that), and she told me what she was doing step by step. She explained everything and gave me genuine recommendations. Needless to say, I love my new look and I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

Ive always had a balayage/ombré combo and let it grow out for over a year before getting it corrected. I dont change it up much since Im low key and dont really experiment with my hair. When I saw Lindsay who is absolutely fabulous, explained everything, provides examples and recommendations while being so patient and accommodating. Will be getting more touch ups now that Ive found her and the salon and wont go anywhere else.

Incredibly nice salon with extremely kind staff. Briana worked a literal miracle with my hair- Im a life-long natural brunette & have always wanted to be blonde. Went to chain place a couple weeks ago & ended up with a pretty *questionable* look. She fixed it PERFECTLY, & I now have beautiful, natural looking blonde hair. She was meticulous, listened to exactly what I wanted, & did a freaking unbelievably amazing job. I seriously cant say enough good things about this business.
