    Wow, I have lived in Sarasota for almost 40 years and was recently recommended Summer at Intrepid. I wish I had found her earlier, she listened to my concerns about my limp, fine, aging hair and completely transformed my look... I feel like a new person.     Ashton is amazing and incredibly fast. Start to finish -- balayage, cut and treatment took under 90 minutes. And I LOVE my new do! And Melissa, the owner, is wonderful, personable and all about customer service. Lastly, the location is fantastic and the decor cant be beat. I love my new hair home!!! Thank you team Intrepid!

    I am almost 50. Just went thru a toxic break up. Damn near lost my faith in humanity (sorry so depressing). Today, I went to see Melissa and Debra @Intrepid. The experience made my whole month. The genuineness and love there is real!!!! Not too mention my hair looks fabulous!!! Thank you so so much!!!

    WOW, AMAZING, PHENOMENAL... These words dont even come close to my experience with Melissa at Intrepid Salon. She was great, everyone in there was so great and personable, it was clean and inviting yet comfortable. I cant even begin to find the words to express my gratitude. Just having a baby and not being very hair savy she set me up with a clean low maintenance hair cut and highlighted so perfectly I just want to scream with excitement. Thank you Melissa for making me feel like a million bucks!

    I was looking for a safe salon to visit during the pandemic, where masks would be worn. I found Intrepid and was impressed with their care and concern for their clients.This little gem on Siesta Drive has become my favorite place to visit while visiting Sarasota each winter. Well worth the drive from Venice or Bradenton as well.I dont think five stars is descriptive enough for the talent and skill of Melissa and her staff. The compliments on my hair and nails start literally when I leave their door! Stephanie is an amazing nail tech, and Ashton is definitely an expert on blonde! I just get my hair trimmed when it is highlighted, but I have overheard some great advice on haircut styling from Melissa, Ashton, and Summer. Kenny is an excellent assistant, gentle shampooer, and has great advice on places to visit if youre new!Deborah is expert at her front desk job, and can schedule all your appointments from now until forever! Call her today. I promise you will be glad that you found Intrepid, and will want to return again and again!

    This is a very modern and beautiful salon! No detail has been overlooked here to allow you to enjoy your salon experience. Melissa has cut my entire family’s hair for several years, including my two young children, and we have all been extremely pleased every time. My kids absolutely love getting their hair cut, and look forward to their time to chat with Melissa! Coronavirus precautions are being observed here as well, and we felt extremely safe during our visit. You will not be disappointed with your experience here!

    I am thrilled that Melissa now finally has her own salon! It is a beautiful, light and welcoming space.Then again, I would follow Melissa to whatever place she is working, which I have already done for the last seven years.     Intrepid Salon is incredible! Ive been looking for a salon since we moved to Florida 6 years ago, and my close friend brought me here! Melissa (owner) is EVERYTHING!     I have been working with Melissa for several years now. She has the Midas touch with shears, but she’s also a great person, hard worker, professional, and a fantastic mother.     Melissa has been doing my hair for close to 10 years and I have never been less than impressed by her!Melissa is fabulous. She is kind, patient, gregarious, and will put you at ease. Shes also a great listener and makes sure that you leave with exactly what you wanted.The salon is gorgeous and spotless. Chairs and sinks are comfortable, even if you need to be in them for a while.Melissa is Covid-19 certified. She cleans and disinfects each area immediately after its vacated, so nothing is missed. She wears a mask and also requires customers to wear them too. Right now, she is only seeing one customer at a time. This is probably the safest salon in the area.

    I have been going to Melissa for 4 years. She is exceptional with color, cutting and styling and she is a pleasure to be with. Intrepid Salon is a modern, stylish salon in an excellent location off Siesta Dr. with easy parking. I feel so comfortable with her high level of protocol for Covid. The salon is immaculate as she is following the strictest standards. I only wish I could have her and her beautiful salon in Ohio as well. Lynn G

    I just had a haircut with Melissa the most exquisite, professional, knowledgeable and personable hairstylist I ever met in Sarasota and I would say elsewhere I have been too! I am grateful to her business and delightful service .First time ever in Sarasota I had a hairdresser worked on my kinky curly, silver , messed up hair with attention to details , with care , time and confidence …. I am overwhelmed and grateful to her ( Mellissa) and the phenomenal result … I owe her this review since I never wrote a review for all the 15 hair salons with unsuccessful experiences… the best hair salon and owner deserves to shine and if you need to love your hair again and get the look you imagine, Mellissa will make it happen….

    Intrepid Salon’s decor is high end...lines are clean, crisp and fresh...a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All health protocols are followed. Melissa greets me with a warm genuine smile. She has great communication skills and pays attention to details...she is up-to-date on the latest hair trends and color. I love my cut and color. Melissa has been my “Rockstar” hairstylist for 7 years...an awesome experience.

    I’m not sure how I can put into words how great Melissa is and how amazing the salon as a whole is!     I have had my hair done with Melissa for many, many years. Each and every time, its s exactly what I wanted. Each visit, she spends time asking about by hair, what I like, what I would like to change, and gives me great advise. I like it that she listens to me. She suggested Keratin treatments some years ago. Best advise ever! I never would have known to ask. She can see areas that need help, and she knows how to solve your individual problem. I have been to her new Intrepid Salon 3 times during Covid-19. I love it that it is only myself and Melissa in the salon. She only works on one client at a time. No one is waiting around. She is Covid-19 certified. The salon is super clean, and she spends time in-between each client disinfecting. I feel very safe here. I love each and every visit with Melissa and love her new salon! She really treats me like part of her family!

    Not only is Melissa a gifted stylist but her salon is certified on COVID-19 protocol. I felt very safe there. And by gifted for me it means a fabulous cut with NO upkeep and a color that was not only very becoming but has stayed until my next appointment. This is a first as I have always had to use my own touch up in between. So yes, highly recommend Melissa at Intrepid Salon.

    The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. My color came out perfectly. My stylist was very knowledgeable and experienced. I also had a Mani and Pedi.     I have been avoiding hair care due to pandemic. A friend told me about Intrepid and the procedures they use to keep clients safe and it sounded just right. So I decided to do something about the mess on my head and I am so glad I did-and did at Intrepid. I worked in the health care field most of my career so I could tell they were taking the pandemic seriously and following all the CDC guidelines; that assurance allowed me to relax. Addison, the receptionist, is so sweet on the phone and very efficient. And Melissa-well, I just adore her! She is incredibly talented with color and cut, and so engaging. It was clear that she genuinely wanted to provide what I wanted. I feel so much better about going out the little I do, and just seeing myself in the mirror, lol. I will be returning for maintenance of color and cut. Very, very happy with Intreprid Salon!!! ❤

    A neighbor mentioned the new Intrepid Salon, designed with Covid-19 care--one person at a time, A+ sanitation, hospital quality air exchange system, etc. Despite needing cut and color, my virus worries kept me out of any salon. When I received a return appointment call, I was amazed at the Covid 19 care and attention of the salon owner. This is the salon for anyone with high angst about Covid-19. Literally, I was the only person in the salon for 1.5 hours. Owner/stylist is the only stylist in this immaculate/sanitized setting. I agree with all other comments about the amazing owner/stylist and quality of hair cuttng and colorng. I dont have easy hair and my cut and color were great. What a find!
