I was referred to The Little Salon by my stylist in another state. The network for referrals in the natural products realm worked great. The move away from the strong chemicals for hair coloring was the right move for me personally. Finding a salon that honors that and has talented stylists is a true win. This is my second season using their services and they have earned my loyalty. Marissa, the salon owner is my colorist and truly takes her time to do thorough and evenly distributed highlights. Gabby cut my hair and I am very happy, especially as it was my first experience with her. Gabby asked all the right questions, but more importantly, listened and followed through in performance. The front desk staff is professional and friendly. Marissa appears to be a dedicated team leader and gives her staff autonomy while providing direction. While I was there its clear that the shop has a loyal clientele whom the team was familiar with, and the relationship was friendly and warm. I will continue to come back to The Little Salon. While it isnt a large shop it is clean, modern and inviting and has the most important elements; friendly, professional and talented stylist and owner.

I am new to the area and tried this salon for the first time yesterday. I was booked with Brianna and she was awesome! She took the time to listen to all the details/concerns about my hair and ended up with a cut I absolutely love! The other ladies were very nice too, and the vibe was so great. The experience after a couple of years is as good as the first. Remember the days you went to a small, attractive, personable salon? Your stylist and the staff all knew you? It was a calm and pleasant experience. You had confidence your hair would look its very best when you finished. The stylists all add their specialties - mine, of course, is the greatest! Whatever style, color, special look -- relax and let them create their magic. Give yourself a gift and try The Little Salon.

My first hair cut in a foreign country given to The Little Salon and I made the right decision!I was so worried because I have a pretty straight hair and never give a try outside of my country, so i did a deep research in Sarasota area and finally found this place which I am attracted by their website and Instagram. They are good with female hair style and coloring. The environment is calm, tidy, and cute:)Sincerely recommend Janette if you want a delicate hair cut! I’ve been going to the little salon for over a year now and it has been the best experience. My first visit ever was with Melissa and she completely transformed my hair to blonde, she is so talented and kind. When she went on maternity leave I started seeing Emma for all of my hair needs and she is also phenomenal! I do not trust anyone else with my hair…I moved to North Carolina and still make visits back to Sarasota to see Emma. She is not only a great stylist but a down to earth individual who radiates positivity and calmness. We did another hair transformation recently and changed my color from blonde to copper I am absolutely obsessed!! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. You won’t be disappointed with the stylists or the products, everything is organic and natural. Thank you little salon for being the best in the game and treating all of your clients with nothing but kindness and respect.

After only going to get trims at chain salons near me, my friends finally convinced me to commit to getting a more major haircut after toying with the idea for months. I contact the salon a bit more last minute, and they were able to schedule me for an appointment in my needed time slot after something opened up. I was scheduled with Janette, who was absolutely wonderful with talking through what I wanted/needed and what would work with my hair. I cannot recommend them enough for being such a light and comfortable space, Ill definitely be returning in the future !

Renee is a hair artist and magician. Scissors are her paintbrush; and her talent and techniques are extraordinary. Amazing haircuts; so incredibly clean; last 4x as long as a regular haircut! and I can say this because I live 1,056 miles away from Sarasota. I have known Renee since she was out on LBK many years ago; best haircuts I have ever had! Janette is a master colorist and took my over-processed straw and made it hair again; she is a wonderful addition to the team at the best salon - The Little Salon! Between the two of them; and 4 hours they brought my hair back to life. Wish I lived closer.... xoxo.

Just today, I had a superb experience with Emma. It was my first time for color (roots) and a cut in Florida, and I couldnt be happier with the results. After not having a professinal haircut for more than 3 years and just chopping off the ends at home, I decided it was time for a real haircut. I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted other than shorter. I’ve seen Melissa twice now. She is amazing. The color line they use seems to last much longer on my hair than usual and it feels nicer which has been wonderful and it doesn’t fade as quickly with the harsh Florida water. I kind of hate giving a great review because I’m sure she will get even more booked up when people realize how great she is. 😉

She really takes her time and educates me along the way on how we are going to achieve the look I want. She has a client for life!

I am so happy I found this salon and Janette! Janette is amazing and always cuts and colors my hair exactly how I like it. She really cares about her clients and after I get my hair done, so many people ask me where I go. I cannot recommend her enough. She is awesome! If you’re looking for a nice fresh cut, color, highlights, etc... she does it all and I promise, you will not be disappointed. This salon is so cute inside and everyone who works there is so friendly. It’s very clean and they take all of the necessary steps to make their staff and their clients feel safe during these weird times. I am so happy to have finally found my forever salon and stylist!

My new salon! Megan was wonderful in helping make my appointment for a long hair cut, and Marissa was fabulous with cutting my hair! I loved the atmosphere and felt very welcomed. As a young adult, I have been to countless hair stylists in sarasota and no one was ever able to get my hair right with what I asked for. I have been to a few places around Sarasota, but have truthfully not been entirely satisfied with the results. Emma was consultative and personal and her approach, and I left with hair that I love.

I’m new to the area and was lucky enough to find this cute spot. From start (booking appointment) to finish every step of the was was a positive experience. Emma greeted me with a smile and asked questions about what i was looking to have done. Her calming personality made my time in the chair very relaxing. She taught me things about my hair that I never realized (texture/styling). I had a partial highlight, gloss and trim. The salon is the cutest and has a nice flow of customers. Needless to say I highly recommend and I already booked my next appointment!

I love the Little Salon! This is the best haircut and color i have ever had. Paulo is extremely talented and has an artists eye for what his clients need. After my first cut and color with him, I received more compliments than I could count. He knew exactly what I needed...from my hair, down to his perfectly brewed espresso. He is also the king of the blowdry!! Amazing, better than a massage with gorgeous results. The owner Renee is a renowned stylist herself and also has her beautiful artisan jewelry for sale in the shop. My husbands hair looks better than it has in years, she knew just what to do for him. Highly recommend this wonderful salon.

What makes The Little Salon stand out? You dont feel rushed -- even though it was a Saturday evening and I was her last client, Renee didnt rush at all. Emma is a phenomenal colorist, I could not be happier my blonde highlights and cut today. Not only was the color perfect but the time and attention she gave to my hair was incredible, she wasnt rushed and was meticulous every step of the way. Im super fussy about making sure my blonde highlights are as natural looking as possible and Emma nailed it. My husband even commented when I arrived home how beautiful and natural it was (and he normally doesnt notice these things!). Thank you Emma for making me beautiful today!

Wow! Great shop. My first visit. Met with Hilary who was so charming! Such a lovely lady who knows her stuff. She gave me a great cut and made me feel like I was her best friend.The atmosphere was comfortable and not pretentious! Beverages were offered although I declined.Nice place and I just love Hilary. Her talent is unmatched in my opinion. I will go back!

The Little Salon is an intimate updated salon on Main St. in downtown Sarasota. My hairdresser Janette Saliski relocated from New Jersey several months ago. She has 30yrs experience skilled in all aspects of cutting, coloring and styling. I frequently receive complements on my hair and feel so fortunate to have found her!

After trying several salons without success I discovered Rafael at The Little Salon. YIPPEE!! He managed to repair the damage from previous unsuccessful haircuts and gave me the desired Sassoon style I was seeking. Finally I have a GREAT stylist in Sarasota!!
