    Malachi is the man. Iā€™ve been going to Malachi since the first week I moved to Tallahassee and needed a quality cut. Iā€™ve been impressed from the start by his initial quick consultation to figure out what kind of cut I was looking for. Unlike most barbers at other shops, he truly takes the time to understand what you want and then makes it happen. No nonsense. Not to mention the atmosphere in this barbershop is always great. The guys here keep it welcoming and a chill vibe. You know itā€™s quality when every friend you refer over comes back thanking you.

    I recently got a haircut here from Jadyn. Iā€™ve been getting my haircut from Jadyn when he was at an another barbershop and moved here. He is one of the best barbers I have ever had the pleasure of cutting my hair. Definitely book Jadyn if you can. He is kind, cool and will talk about God with you. Overall always a great experience.

    Iā€™ve got cut by Jayden (Grateful) twice now. Not only is he a man of God, but he has a proper heart and a humble personality. Heā€™s pleasant to talk to and even more so to get cut by.The cuts: Theyā€™ve all been fire. One thing I like most about him, as a professional, is his persistence in regard to the clarity of your cut. He makes it a point to fully understand exactly what you want, usually adding in suggestions to make the cut fit your head shape more. He considers the overall look you are going for and then suggests subtle adjustments for your specific style of cut and hair texture. He does rush you or make you feel as if you are an inconvenience. He takes his time to ensure you get EXACTLY what you asked for.The experience: He doesnā€™t over talk you in the chair, nor is he easily offended. Iā€™ve seen him handle a number of personalities, all with a smile. He is very humble and meets each client where they are. If you have children or a family, I would suggest you bring them all to him given how emotionally regulated he is. He also never rushes you out of the chair and never tries to up-charge you, even when most Barbers would. This man is the definition of gentle yet professional and punctual. I have yet to beat him to the barbershop.The atmosphere: This barbershop always has the most fire music, whether itā€™s R&B or Christian Rap. The music is always clean and at a VERY low volume (I was sitting literally next to the speaker during my wait, so I was jamming). The VAST majority of the time, thereā€™s nothing playing other than the TV, also at a very low volume. There is no cussing, perverse language or commentary by the barbers as well. These guys are clean cut, PROFESSIONALS. The styling is centered around Christ, his death, his journey to the cross, and his risen position as our high priest. The symbolism is all around the shop - if you care to notice. If youā€™re not Christian, it is NOT overbearing nor are they pushing any beliefs on you whatsoever, this is an BARBERSHOP - however they do stand for something, respectfully. Everyone is greeted and attended to. Iā€™ve went to multiple other Barbershops where your cut almost appears as if it were a chore, as if they donā€™t care to cut you nor do they want your business. Iā€™ve witnessed many families off-put at other shops by this kind of common attitude. That could NEVER be your experience at The Chose Image Barbershop. My wife came in with a head wrap and every single Barber asked if she needed help, even though another asked prior.Back to my experience with Jayden: As you can probably tell by now, him being a Master Barber is an extension of the great character and work he is already well-equipped to display. I genuinely believe that this man would succeed in any field heā€™d choose to apply himself in, given the acumen and Grace he has been blessed with by the Father.If you are troubled, I would definitely recommend a cut with this man (or in this Barbershop in General). As he is willing to pray for you and provide guidance on areas you may find shaky. There is safety in righteous counsel. This kind of role, which is very familiar with Barbers from my background (as an African American), is handled very well by Jayden and he is always open to give you general counsel or pray for you.This man is foremost a servant-leader, and a really good one at that (this is true of every man in that shop). I think no matter what barber you go with in the shop, you definitely wonā€™t be let down. Iā€™ve never seen one person walk out of that Barbershop the same way they went in. They always look sharp. Itā€™s safe to say the whole barbershop be slicing. Also, each barber can cut ALL textures of hair. Theyā€™re really skilled, so donā€™t let your subtle societal biases make you judge any one of these Barbers. Theyā€™re really like that, i.e., those guys (if you will).While I remain in Tallahassee, Iā€™m only getting my cuts from here. They are definitely Tallahasseeā€™s best (yes, I had tried MANY other Barbers). And there is not even a close second place.

    This Barbershop is amazing! Iā€™ve enjoyed every experience I have had in there with all of the guys that work in this shop! Jadyn is my barber, and he always completed an amazing haircut while also getting to have real conversations and connections with him! He is a true leader for Christ as so is all of the other barbers in that room. I also love their Bible Studies they do on Monday Nights and I love every single second of it!

    Been coming here for a few months now and have nothing but great things to say. Cameron and his staff are absolutely fantastic. Always cordial and welcoming. These guys go above and beyond every time and i always leave nothing short of satisfied. The shop is in a good central location just off of Monroe which is very convenient for after work appointments. The interior is nicely decorated and always very clean. I could go on for days but you get the jest. Give them a shot, i promise you will not be disappointed.

    I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the shop has a really cool vibe. I had my fade done with Jadyn, and he took the time to really listen and care about what I wanted from my cut.     The atmosphere in this place is great. We followed Malachi here from his previous location.
