    I really enjoyed my curl experience there. Anne started me off with a exhilarating shampoo and treatment followed by a trim in which she was very careful not to trim too much because after our brief consult before she started she knew length retention is important to me. Chevy then took over with providing me a beautiful rod set and lots of education on how to use and apply certain products in order to achieve the best results.

    I had a great experience at Chic Beauty! Queen did an awesome job with my two strand twist! Queen and the owner Chevy were so kind and welcoming! Chevy was also very knowledgeable on textured hair! Definitely recommend them for natural hair girlies! I’ll be back for sure! 🩵

    I hardly give reviews publicly as I mostly share with family or colleagues but I had to make an exception. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had from a stylist in a long time. Chevy was not only professional, she guided me through every process she was doing. The best part of my appointment was that she ON TIME. I didn’t meet anyone there or had to wait.

    This was my first time going to a curl specialist and I was very impressed! I felt so understood and heard and I got exactly what I asked for in a cut. Anne was very informative and patient to me during my appointment and my hair has been so soft ever since I left. Im definitely coming back! (Plus you guys have really good tea)

    Chevy is naturally gifted and has a warm personality. She made my experience at her salon memorable as a first time client. She took her time doing my hair and educated me on how to care for my natural hair. I love the definition of my natural curls. We achieved the color, cut, and style that I wanted.     Chevy is AMAZING! I have been on the biweekly maintenance plan for about 6 months now; and I have seen such a tremendous improvement in my hair. I have new growth and a much healthier appearance. I really appreciate how Chevy carefully assesses my hair and adjusts products accordingly to provide the best results. She is very professional, maintains a meticulous appointment schedule and salon, and genuinely cares about hair health. She even restyled my hair a few days after a scheduled appointment when I unexpectedly caught in the rain. She is a true gem in the hair care community and I highly recommend her services!

    I always have an amazing experience at the salon. After going natural many years ago, I dreaded going to the hair salon because I was constantly worried about heat damage or my hair being handled too aggressively. Every time I get my hair press and trim by Chevelle, I truly feel my hair is in safe hands and I fully trust her guidance. She is truly the best! I also got to meet her lovely apprentice Jasmine who brings awesome energy to the atmosphere. I definitely would recommend this salon again and again and again.

    I was preparing for a vacation in Tampa, and decided to check for a natural hair care salon that I could visit in the Tampa area while there. I’ve been searching for reliable go-to updos since transitioning away from relaxers several years ago. I searched the web for top-rated Black salons for natural hair care, and was delighted to find Chevy. I saw that she had received stellar reviews, and upon visiting her it was very easy to see why! When exploring her website, I found that she offers many services and expertise with natural hair care - exactly what I had been looking for. I wanted a consultation from a knowledgeable professional who would listen attentively and give me tailored recommendations for caring for my hair, including addressing my unique individual concerns. Chevy gave me the perfect consultation and outstanding service, with empathy and TLC! She intuitively picked up on so many things without my even needing to fully explain. She gave me a beautiful updo style, which did perfectly for me for my whole vacation and beyond. And the salon and atmosphere are just great. There is a wonderful, warm vibe, and even the music is fantastic. I felt very valued, listened to, and well taken care of. And I learned a LOT about my own hair and how to uniquely care for it. If I could see Chevy all the time, I definitely would. I certainly will try to visit her whenever I might be back in Tampa. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented natural care stylist with loving hands who will take great care of them and their hair!

    Id give more than 5 stars if I could! Chevelle was a wonderful stylist and teacher. She asked questions, listened, and addressed all of my hair concerns. She suggested simple and inexpensive changes to my wash-and-go routine that made a world of difference. My curls are finally defined and frizz free, even in the Florida humidity! Ive already referred a couple friends to Chic Beauty Collective, and plan to return in the future.

    Okay, can I just say that this was the best service for hair I’ve ever received?! No, not natural hair service, I’m talking hair period! Chevelle, or Chevy as she likes to go by, was soooo awesome! I booked with her for my birthday (this past Wednesday) for some well needed maintenance, and in the early morningtime! Although I came prepared with my own cup of coffee, Chevy was ready and willing to fix me a cup (how sweet)! For my appointment, I was in for a trim/cut, detox, wash.. basically the works, and that’s exactly what I received. I’ll be honest and say, I’m not much of a talker, especially in the morning but my time spent with Chevy felt like I had known her. She was so easy to talk to and definitely made it feel like a friend of mine was doing my hair instead of a complete stranger. Not only is she a sweetheart, she is very knowledgeable about natural hair. Definitely not just somebody who chose to dive into this, talk about different hair textures (the 3b-4s talk) and call it a day - she was very detailed and specific in her explanations. All in all, I really enjoyed my time and I have already booked my second session. It’s been a time finding a natural hairstylist in S. Fla, as i’ve been on the search for about two years but I really thank Abba myself and my hair found her! Lol

    I found Naturally Chevy Hair Studio last year when I moved to Tampa. I was new to the area and needed a stylist to care for my natural hair. I found Chevy through IG and Facebook and was highly satisfied. She did the most beautiful flat twist-out styles (flat twist-in) that lasted for two weeks or more and held up in the Florida heat and humidity. Not to mention that she was super gentle with washing and detangling my hair.Additionally, she was always pleasant and easy to talk to! Her private suite was also very quaint and comfortable. I have since relocated from Tampa, but when I return to visit, I will schedule an appointment with her. I will say that my only regret is not coming to Chevy more often while in Tampa and trying other services.If you are reading this review and are new or native to Tampa and looking for a Natural hairstylist and Curl Expert that will get you right and cares about natural hair, look no further!!

    Book with her, immediately. I had a lifetime of bad experiences at salons to overcome in even scheduling the appointment. I was hopeful it would be good, but was resolved that hair will grow no matter what.Chevy single-handedly changed my mind. Its the first haircut that I have actually loved. Every time I walk by a mirror, I find something else I love about my hair. So glad shes in this area!

    Chevy is amazing! She is a talented stylist who truly cares about the health of your hair. Ive been coming to Chevy since 2017, mostly for protective styling, including crochet and updos. I always get compliments on her styles. She also did my big chop and has been my secret weapon in keeping my 4c hair healthy as I grow it out. Trims and treatments with her have also left my hair healthy. She also simplifies natural hair care by giving tips and recommendations on caring for my hair kinky, coily hair at home and in between visits. Shes very professional, sweet, and knowledgeable. Booking an appointment with her is super easy and she always responsive to questions. She truly cares that her clients have a great experience and are happy with the end result. Ive recommend several friends go to her. Truly a gem!

    Before I went to Chevy I had to deal with hairstylist that made my hair look good but not healthy or grow longer. She’s been my hair stylist for almost 3 years now and I love her. She’s kind, knowledgeable about hair, and really cares about making you look good from the inside out. Great hairstylist.

    First of all what I liked is the fact that she had an early appointment. Next, as shes doing your hair she tells you the steps, so theres no surprises. She explains what shes doing. I didnt get the color I was aiming for but we got into that family. She didnt want to damage my curls by over processing to get the color i wanted. My next appointment we will work to get me there. I love that she cared about my curls and educated me on products that she used on it. I definitely recommend her for your hair needs.

    Wow! What a positive experience. First, she talked to me about my hair goals and products before she touched my hair. Second. Once the cleansing process started she explained each step. She did the same at styling. Love my cut and style. Third. She explained how to care and style my natural hair on my own. She is professional. Timely. Fourth. The salon is spotless and she complies with the appropriate guidelines for Covid sanitation. I will return.

    Chevy has been my go to hairstylist since I moved to Miami. She’s skilled, professional, covid-19 friendly (a huge plus nowadays, especially with my baby at home), you get good value going to her and she’s punctual which shows that she values your time.     I booked with the new stylist, Mitsie. She is welcoming, gentle, and professional. Honestly, I was apprehensive about going--so much so that I wanted to go through with a late cancellation and be penalized (there is a 50% service charge if you cancel with 24 hrs. of the service). Upon meeting Mitsie, my trepidation melted away. Such a lovely demeanor she has.I had falsely assumed that I could pay extra for take-down and detangling services, but that wasnt the case. Once I realized this, I didnt have time to change or cancel the appointment. I had the arduous task of trying to prep my hair before going in when I needed that time to study and work. I take full responsibility for missing such details. (The information is available in the FAQ section of the website. Once you pay the deposit, a notification appears which reminds you to detangle your hair before coming in for your service). Ive never been asked to prep my hair before a hair service that included washing and drying. Its incorporated into the service, or the option for the service appears when you are booking your appointment.Lastly, be sure to email (I would not recommend calling based on my experience) the owner with any questions that you have. Though Mitsie was nothing short of amazing, I wont be returning since they dont offer the services that I need the most.I would highly recommend Mitsie and the business overall. The shop was clean and in a nice area.

    I got a glueless lace frontal sew in for the first time. Keelah and Chevy were amazing as always. Jasmine slayed my edges and gave comic relief to boot. The ladies there are wonderful. I highly recommend.
