    Nicky has been my barber for a few years now. I refuse to see anyone else! They have a very simple to use portal online to book an appointment. Nicky is always playing the best music in the shop too.Just book that appointment already!

    Relaxed casual atmosphere. I was greeted as soon as I walked in (without an appointment) and Rosa seated me immediately. She was very nice, asked me how I wanted to be done, and gave me a great haircut. Very pleased!

    I came here for the first time recently because my old barber started giving me inconsistent hair cuts. I had a little trouble finding it because it is actually a backroom in Kelly Days Firehouse Tavern. This was confusing but also kind of interesting. Its a 2 chair shop and I walked in without realizing that most of the time they operate from appointments. I was lucky and the current appointment ended up calling to tell Johnny he could not make it no so he sat me immediately. I could really tell Johnny knew what he was doing after I told him the hairstyle I wanted (undercut) and he asked me a few styling questions and commented on a few things my prior barber had messed up that were bothering me already. I was super pleased with how it turned out and will be coming here now in the future.

    Visited Cigar City Barbershop for the first time about a year ago, and ever since then I refuse to let anyone except for Eldar to cut my hair. He is a professional in every sense of the word, insane attention to detail and work ethic and I highly recommend giving him a call if you’re looking to get anything done. 5 stars and a customer for life here.     Dylan is the man. My non-speaking son is a regular and Dylan always treats him with kindness, respect and great attention to detail. His fresh fade always garners compliments and I recommend Cigar City Barbershop to anyone who asks. Wonderful shop dog too.

    Literally the best first cut by a barber I’ve gone too hands down! If you need a new barber or are thinking of making a switch, Cigar City Barbershop is place to go!Nicky understood exactly what I was asking/telling her for my cut.     Had a great experience with Nikki , needed my unruly beard trimmed up for an important interview, she was awesome, old school hot towel shave and a trim and I look like a human LOL!! Seriously great place and the dog !! (Blue) loved it , I’ll be back !

    Had my first experience here today. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Do ensure you are clear about what you want done. I was not as I was tired and jetlagged, my fault, and didnt get what I wanted, but still came out with a good looking haircut. Wife liked the way it came out, so, happy accident? I cant hold them accountable when I wasnt clear, but figured its worth a mention. Will go back and give it another go.

    Nicky by far is the best barber I have every had. Every time my hair looks amazing. She listens to what I want and delivers. I really appreciate your gift and great customer service! Everyone else there is also super nice and their clients leave with great haircuts!

    Annie was great. I was in town for work and stopped to get a skin fade. Annie is a great personality and we had a good conversation. But when I got to my truck I noticed the left side of my haircut was lower than the Right. No big deal. Went back in and she immediately apologies and kicked her son in law out of the chair. Fixed me in about 3 minutes and I was on my way. Very good experience. Shop has a cool vibe and very clean.

    Went for a cut today found the place relatively easy. If you look for the barber pole on the building it makes it way easier. If you pass it on your left the next block has parking for $1 an hour once you turn left and its on the right. When I walked in I was telling him Abe hadnt really liked my last few hair cuts and wanted something different but the same. He told me all about how my hair was laying what and how to comb it so I dont have hair doing whatever it wants. They were both cool guys talking and joking around. He did a good job trimming my beard and with the shave too. I will for sure be going back. It might be a 45 minute drive but its totally worth it. Like he said a hair cut is like a tattoo you get what you pay for and Im super happy with my hair cut.

    Update:Recently went in to get my hair cut with Johnny at the new location. Same great service at an awesome new spot. Great vibe and even easier to find. Cant change a thing about my earlier review regarding the experience, same great service and attention to detail.Original:A cool atmosphere and laid back experience make this barbershop worth the hunt. Not actually difficult at all to find, dont be deterred. Showed up for a cut and beard trim with Johnny and found him to be a very experienced barber with a great eye, he helped me come up with a plan to correct a previous bad cut and executed it with minimal effort from me. Dude knows his stuff enough to have turned me into a repeat cutstomer.

    Im not from Tampa, but happen to be staying in the area and decided I needed a trim. I popped in and saw Nyno, who was absolutely fantastic. Great conversation, and fantastic haircut and beard trim. He took his time to make sure all the line ups were perfect.Highly Recommended

    My husband searched around for years since moving down from Chicago to find the perfect place to get a haircut. Cigar City Barbershop did not disappoint and is now the ONLY place he will go to. Perfect place for him get a cut, grab a drink and smoke a cigar. These guys are personable, extremely talented and passionate about their craft. Highly recommend!

    Great local barbershop. Very comfortable atmosphere with art placed in every corner. Their music selection is on point. Staff are very professional and keep the shop clean at all times. Plus theyre funny lol. The place does stay consistently business, so youll need to schedule an appointment, or you wont get a spot.

    A very unique barbershop. I was visiting from out of town, and called to see if I could walk in. No problem. Annie took care of me and did a great job. Comfortable, but unique, environment. Super friendly people. I might have to fly to Tampa every time I need a haircut. Highly recommend.

She’s always punctual, timely, friendly and always does a fantastic job with our hairstyles. We’re always looking for an excuse to hangout in Ybor, and it’s great to know that getting my haircut and beard trim is one of those reasons. Highly recommend!!

    These guys are great! Ive been to several Barbershops around Tampa, and Ive never seen 2 guys care more about their cuts than these 2. They will not finish a haircut until you are truly satisfied with their work. I highly recommend.

    Good old school barber shop. Its two barbers with a two-chair shop in the back of the bar upstairs. Ive only gotten my hair cut but it always looks good. Listening to them talk to other people with more complicated hair than I have, it seems that both barbers are pretty knowledgeable of different types of hair and styles etc. They prefer if you make an appointment instead of just walking in like I did my first time.

    I just google searched Ybor City barber and this is the first one that came up. I went through the Yelp page and saw the awesome reviews and figured Id try it out. Not exaggerating when I say this is the best place to get a haircut in Tampa. The online appointment system is great and Johnny the barber is a really cool guy. Really happy that I found out about this place.

    Very pleased with the cut I got from Nyno yesterday. I have been paying 45$ a cut at another well known place in S Tampa (my cut yesterday was 25$)but they have been slipping since I started going the last few years so I decided to give this place a try. It is now my spot for sure. Nyno is a young guy with a great story and I can say he is 1) meticulous about his craft, high attention to detail 2) passionate about hair. Its very obvious to me he cares about giving a good cut every time which I love as Im super picky about my hair and care how it looks more than the avg guy. Thanks Nyno, see you in 4 weeks.

    Just moved down from Ohio and I was on a mission to find a solid spot to replace my long visited barbershop. The Cigar City Barbershop (located upstairs, inside, toward the back of the Lions Den) was just the place I was looking for and Johnny did not disappoint!     Pretty busy, make sure youre on time or early and schedule prior to your haircut.Walk-ins are near impossible, but you get excellent service from anyone here. Any of the barbers are very nice and down to earth!

    Best hair cut Ive ever gotten, even better than when I splurged for my wedding. Abel was great and you can tell him and Jonny (the owner) both love what they do. Its tucked away in the back of a bar (you can drink and smoke cigars) which makes it hard to find but its totally worth the time spent parking, walking and looking. The place is badazz. A hair cut is only $20, not much more than you would pay at a salon chain. Theres only 2 chairs so make an appointment, or schedule a house-call!

    I signed up for a haircut, beard trim, and shave. Got a great haircut, tonne of great beard growing tips, and Abel also decided that the shave I signed up for wasnt needed if I was going the route that I am with my beard.     Since moving here from CALI, I have been looking for a old school barber that has skills and has customer service. Ive been to lots of different barbershops in Tampa and I never felt welcomed. 1. Because Im not thuged out and 2. Im gay. But my boy Johnny created a great automsphere in his shop for my appointment! Looked me in the eye, shook my hand, gave me and my husband an AWESOME ESPRESSO! And a BAAAAAANGING HAIRCUT!!!! I will definitely will be setting weekly clean up appointments! And sending all my Freinds over too!     A genuine artist who cares for his craft as much as the people. Come in for a beer or smoked old fashioned and a nice cigar, hang on giant comfy couches and catch a game or chill outside on the rooftop patio.
