    Destiny & Light made my wedding day hair and make up so perfect. From day 1 at my hair and make up trial Priscilla and her team made me feel like family and exceeded my expectations. I rarely wear make up and I was worried about it being too much, but Priscilla made sure I felt comfortable. My bridal party was very satisfied with their hair & makeup as well (and some of these girlies are picky). I highly recommend Destiny & Light for your special occasions!     Emma did an AMAZING job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and her team did such an amazing job on my girls. I couldnā€™t have asked for a better group of people to help in making us all feel beautiful on my wedding day! She even made sure I was 100% happy with my lip color, after I decided to go in a slightly different direction. So attentive and easy to talk to!     Oh my goodness: do you want to look like a queen on your wedding day? Do you wanna have the best team holding you down and making sure you look your absolute best? Then Destiny And Light is your team! Priscilla, Jackie, and Lucy: what a team! šŸ˜ And every other team member in between that helped with corresponding emails, planning, appointments, and everything in between! Every single guest that saw me were just speechless. My own dad didnā€™t even know what to say during our first look except ā€œWOWā€I canā€™t help but cry every time I see my photos because I truly felt unstoppable that day!These ladies worked diligently through two massive hurricanes and made sure that nothing fell through the cracks.By the end of my Getting ready, I felt like I had known Jackie for years! Some of the hardest things after the wedding that no one tells you about is moving on and not staying in contact with your vendors who have worked so hard to make sure your dream comes to life!!     If youā€™re looking for amazing hair and makeup for your wedding or special event, look no further! Destiny and Light really knocked it out of the park for my daughterā€™s wedding this past week. Priscilla truly listened to what my daughter wanted and gave her exactly the look sheā€™d been dreaming about. She was an absolutely breathtaking bride, with a stunning group of bridesmaids around her. Emma did my mother-of-the-bride hair and makeup and made me look and feel more beautiful than I could have imagined. The team was prompt, skilled, efficient, and so much fun to work with. Destiny and Light Hair and Makeup Group made a wonderful day even more wonderful!!!

    I recently got married on 11/23/24 and used Destiny & Light for my hair and makeup. I didnā€™t have a trial done because I knew they were going to make us all look stunning, and they didā€” I wanted a natural/soft glam makeup look and I loved how it turned out! I also wanted a low bridal updo, Emma took her time and really did an awesome job on everyoneā€™s hair, my hair turned out amazing! I would highly recommend any bride looking for hair and makeup to book with Destiny & Light.

    I found Destiny & Light through the preferred vendor list from our venue at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club and through a friend recommendation.Emma was an absolute blessing to work with. I gave her inspo pictures and she immediately knew what to do. Her talent shined through not just at the trial but especially during our wedding day and I could not be more grateful. She made me feel so comfortable and was an instant friend. I could not recommend her enough!!Thanks to Destiny & Light, me, my bridal party, my mom & my husbands mom looked gorgeouss and felt like our best selves.If youre considering them, dont even hesitate and just do it !

    They did so amazing! The team was so accommodating and made my visions come to life and then some! Iā€™m pretty picky about my hair and makeup and they did what I wanted down to the details. Super easygoing if you ask to tweak something. The day of my wedding the person supposed to be helping the main stylist, Jackie, was sick. Jackie asked her to stay home and called another stylist to help her to keep me and my bridal party healthy. Even with the delay, they didnā€™t skip a beat. They were on time and efficient while taking their time to make everyoneā€™s vision come true

    I had the privilege of working with Destiny & Light for my small wedding ceremony with immediate family. Despite being the weekend after Hurricane Helene, both team members Emma and Jackie communicated throughout the week to let me know they would still be available despite the hurricane. I had a couple girls who couldnā€™t make the flight due to the circumstances, but that was no issue for their team. They made everybody feel comfortable and look absolutely beautiful, and they were the ultimate hype team as well. Not to mention, they didnā€™t act inconvenienced to be there, and it made all the difference in the entire experience. I am so very thankful to this group. They are professional, kind, and extremely talented (nobody has ever made me feel as pretty as these girls did on my special day). 10/10 would recommend.

    Absolutely loved Emma she did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding!! Top tier would have her do it no questions asked!!! I recommend her to my friends who are getting married!! She was very professional any times I had questions or was unsure of something she made me feel comfortable voicing my opinion and helping solve any issue I may have had! As well as Amber who did the hair of all my bridesmaids she also did an amazing job! Emma and Amber were super efficient we finished with more time left over to do touch ups and make sure we all loved our look! Emma truly did an outstanding job I recommend her fully!!     Emma, Priscilla, and Jackie slayed my wedding party of NINE hair and makeups! As a makeup girlie, I am incredibly picky about how my makeup ends up- and Iā€™ll tell you whatā€¦ I was over the moon. I went with a pink/purple full beat and Emma KILLED IT. All of them are incredible artists with even better vibes and personality. My wedding day was beautiful and having a 8am start with this team, 20 stars.     I would highly recommend this group to any bride looking for a glam squad for her big day! I had 11 people who had their hair and makeup done, and the ladies from Destiny & Light made everyone look BEAUTIFUL and stayed true to the timeline.My lead stylist, Jackie, was incredible! She made sure I was feeling beautiful and confident for my big day. She added in a few special touches to my hair and makeup which was so fun as well. Her energy was what I appreciated the most! She was so calm the entire time which helped me stay relaxed throughout the morning. The glam squad brought such a fun, relaxed and positive energy to the bridal suite which was so appreciated!

    I am on a bridal team from Iowa and we took a 2-day advanced bridal hair and makeup class with Priscilla. It was amazing and exceeded my expectations! Priscilla is incredibly talented and SO fun to work with! She is absolutely hilarious and made the very long (10-hour) day enjoyable. Not once did I feel bored or like the day was dragging on. She was very detailed in how she taught us hairstyling techniques and made sure we understood the why behind each step. She was hands-on and her constructive criticism was very helpful. I was able to create styles I didnt even know I was capable of. Her positivity and encouragement really helped to inspire me and recognize the value in my work, which is something I struggle with. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Destiny and Light and will definitely be taking another class with them in the future!

    My daughter who was the bride had her hair done with extensions and styled along with he make up done by Jackie. I also had my hair and makeup done by Jackie. Lucy styled hair for four bridesmaids. They were both very professional, personable and provided great care to us all. They took their time but kept on schedule so it was a relaxing and enjoyable time. The make up and hair for each of us was what we requested,well, even better than we thought it would be. I would highly recommend them for your special event!

    Emma did my hair and makeup for my wedding in December and it was phenomenal. She made my dreams come true and gave me the look I always imagined for myself.     The work that Priscilla, Amber, and Ashley did was more than I could have asked for. I dont know how but the hair and makeup looked better than the trial run. They were on punctual and flexible. They drove to my friends house where we were getting ready and they even finished ahead of schedule. We loved them and recommend them.

    I booked my hair and makeup for my wedding in May 2022 with Density and Light. My stylist was Angel, and she was just that! She took my ocean, beach-y, natural vision and was able to make it real with a very simple but elegant braided hairstyle. She also gave me the perfect mix of natural but elegant makeup. I dont often wear makeup in my everyday life, but I felt good in her hands and she made great choices for my look. She was fun to be around, professional, and flexible. Her and her teammate (Im so sorry I do not remember her name but she was equally as delightful and deserves praise as well!) also did several of my bridesmaids as well as my mother, and everyone was very happy with their looks. Most of my ladies got different hair and makeup styles (as in there wasnt a singular hairstyle or look they did) and I think the team did an amazing job of making everyone look unique but cohesive, as well as make everyones hair and makeup look good for their hair type and skin type. I would 100% recommend them for your event, you will not be disappointed with the quality or the personalities of your team :)

    Priscilla was responsive with clear, concise, and consistent communication - even though I had asked more last minute for my bridal (and bridesmaidsā€™) hair and makeup. She was flexible and so willing to help me. I think her and her team did a great job of not only hearing what our vision was, but providing feedback and elevating the looks. All of our hair and makeup easily lasted the entire day! Her team was willing to come to my home in Bartow and then went to the venue in Seffner with nothing but positive attitudes.     I truly felt like I looked like a princess on my wedding day thanks to my stylist Vanessa! My makeup lasted and looked flawless all day and night. My hair was beautiful and came out exactly how I wanted it to. At my trial run she took the time to understand what I was looking for and what my preferences were, so I highly recommend doing one of those to get some one on one time with your artist before the big day. D&L also had very reasonable pricing, and I was able to get a group package for me and my 5 bridesmaids!

    When I pictured my wedding hair for my big day for myself and my bridal party I knew I had to hire the best! Priscilla and her team are amazing! I wanted an elaborate Russian 3D updo and I booked a trial with Priscilla herself. We worked together to discuss the elements of the style I loved the most and were important to me to be incorporated in my look from the inspiration pictures I provided. She helped keep me sane and not a ball of nerves for the big day! My wedding hair turned out amazingly beautiful. I would highly recommend Priscilla and her team for your bridal hair needs. 10/10

    I just wanted to say all the ladies in the group are amazing !!! I was so nervous about getting my hair done because I was never the type of female to get all dolled up. Pricila and Maria exceeded my expectations for my wedding day look . I have an afro and thought my hair was beyond repair but I made a consult appointment with Pricila and she knew exactly what to do and knew exactly which stylist could do the style I was looking for. From there it was no joke , they are very organized We scheduled everything that same day . we did the trial , the day before the wedding Pricila installed my extensions, on wedding day Maria styled my hair , my mothers , and all my bridesmaids. She did an amazing job everyone looked beautiful and loved their hair . She was very quick too . We even had extra time to spare . Destiny and light made my dreams come true.

    We had 7 girls that needed hair and make-up, including myself, the day of the wedding. Destiny and Light stuck to their schedule and every had everyone finished early. All my girls were 100% happy with the team. I was especially happy with Amanda who I booked a trial run with to figure out how we wanted the wedding look to be, and then she did exactly that on the wedding day. i could not have been more pleased with everything!

    I canā€™t say enough good things about this company! I have never in my life felt as gorgeous as I did on my wedding day, all thanks to this company and my stylist, Paola. She totally nailed exactly what I was going for with my hair and makeup. All the girls looked absolutely stunning!! Paola not only did amazing work, but she also read my mind throughout the day and knew exactly what to say when I was having a freak out moment, haha! I told her at the end of it all that I consider her a friend, not just a stylist.I asked for a second trial because I was so nervous about my oily skin... they instantly got me another appointment and made sure I was 100% happy and confident before I walked out!! Also, during my trial, my mom, dad, aunt, grandma, and her best friend all came in ā€” the D&L crew was SO welcoming and didnā€™t seem bothered a bit by the random ambush! There was so much laughter throughout my trial and my wedding day. The stylists were all so laid back and wonderful to work with!I HIGHLY recommend hiring this company for your hair and makeup!!!     Best Wedding-not-wedding experience ever!!!Im beyond elated that I chose Destiny and Light. I am not from the area, but I was looking for a makeup artist that could 1. Travel to me to make it less of a hassle to make it to the venue on time. or 2. have a location close to the venue. 3. Be personable. 4. Answer my questions. 5. Give me and my family and friends an awesome time. 6. Address any issues we had with the makeup before we left. I called Mr. Brown before and asked many questions, I usually do not wear makeup because I have sensitive skin, and I also didnt want the caked up look on my big day, I wanted to look like me not Barbie. Next, I knew that timing was everything and I didnt want to have to have the make-up reapplied several times throughout the night. I ended up getting airbrush make-up which lasted all night. The time for what should have been my Cinderella themed wedding that I made a family get together party was 6PM- Midnight inside the International Event Center Venue which is indoors so I didnt have to worry about the make-up melting from the June sun. Even after Destiny and Light received notification that the event was cancelled about 3 weeks before the wedding, I am so happy that the company reached out to me to confirm so I didnt lose the deposit. Also, the company was able to assist me in getting 2 Make-up artists instead of 1 so my party wasnt walking around in make-up all day and when 2 of the people decided not to come to town, Destiny and light allowed alternate people to take their place. Moreso, some of my party was able to get dressed at the salon this saved us so much time. I decided to go to the salon because it was less than 5 minutes away from the venue. Jamelia and Natasha did an awesome job with getting us ready for the Party and I recommend the company to anyone. Its well worth the money for the experience and the great job that the women did. My wedding coordinator Jennifer from Special Events also said they were highly recommended. I have yet to meet Mr. Brown but Ill ride through and see him one day soon. He is awesome. I wore my gown because I paid for it. No need in wasting it!

    Makeup stayed in place even through water gun exit!Priscilla and her team were amazing. Priscilla made my hair vision come to life and my makeup stayed put even when I got absolutely drenched during our water gun exit. I couldnā€™t believe it - I looked the exact same after the water dried! Priscilla was able to work with my naturally curly hair and styled my hair without heat the morning of my wedding, which took all the stress out of trying to apply my hair products perfectly.I recommend reading all the fine print so you donā€™t get caught by surprise with contracts, and be careful sorting through emails since there are a ton of auto-replies that have older covid policy information. They have a robust portal system than can be confusing if you donā€™t stay on top of it, which is what happened to me (I hired a full-time wedding planner that didnā€™t have access to the portal). I recommend having pictures of EXACTLY what you want for them to reference. Priscilla was great about me asking for adjustments the day of to make sure my hair looked exactly the way I hoped. Thank you Priscilla & the team for making us look fantastic!

Angel and her team brought my natural glam dreams to life, and I would 1000% recommend Destiny & Light for wedding day hair/makeup.I will add that I did do a trial with Angel, and I am really glad that I did.     D&L was amazing on my wedding day. Our beach wedding was cancelled less the 24 hours before due to hurricane Ian. When I called the salon in tears to see if my stylist could come to my home and do our hair and make at 5 am, instead, without hesitation it was a yes. I couldnā€™t be more thankful for everyone being so flexible and willing to still make me feel absolutely beautiful!! My stylist, Amanda was incredible the entire time. From my trial runs to my sadness on my wedding day of being in my backyard and not on the beach, she did everything with ease. She was also so kind to my dogs which was a bonus! Amanda made me feel like a princess! I am going back in a few weeks for her to do my hair and makeup again because we have to retake our wedding photos since my photographer cancelled. Priscilla went above and beyond to make sure that I was taking care of Jacque and her daughter and I canā€™t remember the name of our make up girl but weā€™re amazing. They cater to all of my various wedding party wishes. They did a fantastic job, and everybody went looked beautiful. I was so glad that I chose them.     The entire D&L team is fantastic! Jeanie was so easy to work with to plan my dream wedding. Angel is a true artist; she turns everything she touches to gold! She did my bridal makeup and Hollywood waves. Krysten was also phenomenal. She made my mothers, sisters, and grandmothers look like models. Every one of them looked fantastic from 23 to age 78.     Getting ready for my wedding was chaotic. My family was unprepared and we were running late. Corinne was my stylist and despite the fact that my family threw a lot at her, she handled it professionally and with Grace. Corinne was heaven sent! I went to her for a trial run, rehearsal dinner and the wedding. Each time we switched it up and I was looking fabulous honey!!she has such a fun personality, was always on time and ready for whatever. I couldnt have asked for more!     BOOK THEM!! Lori and Kelly were absolutely amazing! From start to finish D&L was incredible to work with. Lori is so detail oriented. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she re-created it perfectly for both my hair and makeup. She was so attentive when I wanted to change the lipstick color and hair accessories. In addition, Lori was going thru a family emergency and she completely put it aside to focus on me and my bridesmaids. Both Lori and Kelly were patient with all 9 of my bridesmaids, my mom, grandma and me. My grandma decided to get her hair and makeup done the day of and they didnt think twice. Im forever grateful for their kindness, talent and the wonderful experience.

    Amanda is the best makeup trainer she helped me fix any mistakes that need to be fixed on my model. She helped me how to do wing liner for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I have learned so much from her than I have ever learned on my own. She taught how blend and do natural looks to glam looks. She taught me how to contour properly. I would definitely suggest her for the future.

    Make up came out beautifully ashley did a great job. My grandmothers hair turned out beautiful as well. The reason I only gave 4 stars, they tell you to wash your hair the night before my mother and I did just that and because of that our hair did not hold the curls. My moms curls fell in 15 minutes and when I told ashley she said my mothers hair didnt want to hold a curl while she was styling her hair but failed to mention it while styling my mothers hair so we couldve found a better alternative. My hair after a 30 minute drive had to be touched up as well because most of my curls had gone flat as well.

    How do I add like a million more stars??Priscilla , I love you!! Words cannot explain how amazing you and Kelly are!! I had a horrible hair and makeup trial somewhere else that I wont mention, but Priscilla is absolutely AMAZING!!! My sister law called The Destiny & Light Hair and Makeup group which I figured they were just way out of my budget because the pictures they had were amazing and knew they were going to be super expensive. Also, because there was no price range on the knot and wedding wire which my thoughts about the prices was actually absolutely incorrect. After my horrible trial that was at a DIFFERENT location, Priscilla was about to leave and stayed to talked to me the bride to be that was absolutely devastated that I had no one to do my hair and make up for my wedding that I had been planning for a year actually all my life which was 2 weeks away. Priscilla calmed me down almost immediately which is Not easy! She showed me a couple things she could do and I just loved her instantly just her personality the atmosphere is amazing! I live in Orlando so going back and forth couldnt happen and I technically couldnt afford to pay for another trial, but I just knew that she could do everything I was looking for. So I was like Yes I have to have you do this, I mean I just wanted/want to keep her. So two days before the wedding she was in a car accident! I was like Noooooooooo!! So Kelly was going to do my hair which I was nervous about just bc the only other person that I had from a different place was so bad but then thought about it and just knew that if she works with Priscilla she will be great! I walked in on my wedding day and my angel Priscilla was standing there!! I wanted to cry! She was going to assist because she knew I was an absolute mess the day I met her. Priscilla immediately had my laughing so much I was bright red which I needed more than anyone knew. She made my wedding day getting ready Super fun, it was absolutely a perfect atmosphere! She was not able to really show me what all she could do with the hot mess I had from the other trial but I was speechless when she finished my makeup and hair! I had like 5 different pictures that I wanted but I think she just could just read my heart! I am very ocd and I could not find ONE thing I would change at ALL!! I CANT thank you enough Priscilla for making my Big (birthday) we didnt use the word wedding I was too nervous) ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! I wish I had a million dollars to pay you because thats how I felt I looked like when you were done. And your price was better than that other lady which blew my mind too. Kelly did moms hair and makeup and bridesmaids and did absolutely AMAZING as well!! I was so shocked with how perfect Everyones hair and makeup came out exactly what everyone wanted!! Kelly came back to the wedding venue to finish the girls and do touch ups and handled my crazy and Super nervousness! Kelly helped me with holding my dress up while I was steaming and touched up my hair and make up again so it was perfect! I know she stayed later than was expected and I cannot thank you enough Kelly you were so absolutely amazing!!! I love The Destiny & Light hair and makeup group!!! I could keep going, but honeymoon time! I love you all so much!!!

    I would recommend Destiny & Light over and over and over again. I planned my wedding from Chicago and chose Destiny & Light based on the numerous reviews. I had done a trial hair & makeup session and absolutely LOVED meeting Priscilla from that day, very friendly, down to earth...and all around very nice to work with...especially since I was doing everything from out of state. The day of my wedding came....and Priscilla showed up with her team that day...and I will say...they truly were a team of ANGELS that day. 4 of my bridesmaids and my aunt got delayed and showed up to my wedding 45 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle....I explained everything to Priscilla that morning and broke down telling her I was sorry for everyone not being there and felt so bad because I couldnt tell her in enough time to not bring so many people...she looked at me and said....you are the Bride today...you dont worry about a THING...we will have EVERY SINGLE one of your bridesmaids done with hair, makeup and anything else...in plenty of time...and she was NOT LYING!     Professional, artistic and affordable. These are the three words I can use to describe the D& L team. Corrine was my main MUA for my wedding. Instantly clicked with her. She executed my vision to the T Day of wedding we had over 12 services schedule between my bridesmaids and mothers. Being on time was a pet peeve of mine and Corrine assured me that she and her team would be completed by 12noon. Sure enough, 12:03pm they were packed and walking out the door.     I gave Destiny & Light Hair a 5 star because the are absolutly worth it. I was seaching online looking for a good place with good reviews after my last salon experience of an allergic reaction that turned out to be a chemical burn on my scalp. It was really the worst salon experience without mentioning all the effets from it. Moreover, I was really disapointed and hirrified after seing my head. I waited months for my head to heal and also to be mentally prepare to be able to trust another person with my head and hair again. I went on my day last Monday to be exact and I was no able to be seen because I didnt make an appointment. Understandable after I read all the good reviews I expected them to be busy. The girl from the front deak took my number and told me she would call me back the same day to make an appointment for me. Almost forgot to mention that the place is very pretty and clean and everyone said hi to me as soon as I walked in. It felt very peaceful and welcoming. I got the call back and told her my times of avaliability for the reat of the week. She call me back made the appointment for today and I am so glad I did. Cam was absolutly AMAZING!! I went in today really nervous and scared and she made me feel so good and confortable. I went in with the intention of only getting a trim and wash. I left with a new style and cut that I never would thought I would let someone i just met do. I felt so amazing and beautiful my husband LOVE ā¤ā¤ā¤ my new style and it made me feel like a queen. I am so greatful for Cam and the owner for having such an amazing place with very happy and professional employees. They were all very nice to each other and us and it felt like a big family working together. I wish I would of known about them when I got married.
