I have been coming to the shop to get a fade for 21 years. I moved over the bridge and I still drive 40 minutes to get my haircut every week. If youre looking for tight lines and attention to detail go see one of the Cuban fellows in there. You wont be disappointed!

Highly recommend this Barber Shop, every single Barber there does an excellent job and I’ve never walked away dissatisfied with my haircut. Fernando, guy from Cuba was great. He was very friendly, was very direct about not moving my head. He wanted no mistakes. Haircut and beard 35. I left 40 total and it only took 30 minutes to finish everything. Quick, efficient, friendly.

My husband went to see Fernando for a long overdue hair cut. And by long overdue I mean hair half-way down his back! He explained to Fernando the type of haircut he wanted, and Fernando delivered it perfectly. My husband does not like his hair short but actually likes this short haircut that Fernando gave him. He looks great! Incidentally, this haircut was done on the way to a job fair, where my husband landed an interview and is now undergoing training to start a new job!!! We recommend Fernando to anyone. He is easy to work with, listens to your preferences and has a real talent for his line of work. You will not be disappointed!!

Went there today 07/15/2020 for the first time ever and was very nervous about the results, but the barber/stylist Fernando who cut my hair, did a phenomenal job and was professional. We held a good conversation and it was an overall GREAT experience. I will definitely come here again and I just might make Fernando my regular barber from now on. Absolutely deserves more than 5 stars! GREAT JOB!

I’ve been living in the Tampa area for 10 years and after trying several barber shops around I found the right place to get my haircut, Elite Barber Shop. Regardless of been way out of my route to work, I drive an additional 40 minutes because I know I won’t just get a cut, I will get the right cut. What I like about this place is that it is always clean, spacious, and organized; James and the crew are professionals, always display great attitude, very meticulous and talented. Sure you have read many reviews but after many disappointments at other shops I have to say that I will not go anywhere but here. If you need to schedule an appointment outside of normal business hours they will work with you, just ask. I have always walked out very satisfied with the results. Give it a try.

Most professional barbershop in the Bay hands down. Ive been a returning customer for years, and every time each my experience is better than the last. The hours are very flexible and sometimes theyve helped me out by staying for a last minute cut. The guys can make any cut you could possibly fathom and on point! Changing barbers is always a trying process. Thankfully for several years these guys make it so I never have to consider it. I get a full cut and beard shave with Fernando and it’s perfect each time. A true perfectionist. Quick and precise. He’s been booked and had my haircut by the other guys in which they’re all masters in their craft.The foosball table is a nice touch for a kids and competitive adults as well. If u need a haircut and shave, the lineups will have you feeling like a 007 agent.Best shop in south tampa.

Went as a first-timer, but Ive found my regular spot for as long as Im in Tampa.Elite Barber is a great spot to go in for anything from a tight edge-up, a close shave, to a full-on cut. I particularly like how they finish everything with a straight razor. I hadnt gotten the straight finish until I came to this shop. As I sat in the barbers chair, a few more customers came in one by one and theyd be greeted by their first name-- which is always a sign of good businessmen.The cuts are detailed, but quick, and the waiting area is relaxed with comfy couches and plenty of seating for watching TV or chatting it up with the barbers. Ill definitely be going back to Elite Barber and will be recommending my friends to do follow suit. Great business!

**Update** I had to up update my review based on some unfair activity on here. While I would never judge someone elses opinion no matter how wrong they are, you really have to take a step back sometimes and take a look around before leaving a negative review. If all the previous ratings are 5 stars and the reviews are outstanding about the barbers, why would you be the ONE person to leave a bad review? James and the other barbers are the type that if you have an issue (which I have NEVER seen happen), they will fix it on the spot. I have been going to them for years and never once had a bad haircut or seen one person leave there disappointed. The reason I feel I need to post this is due to the fact that the ONE person leaving a negative review, has left nothing but negative reviews for other businesses, which leads me to believe that person will never have a positive experience no matter what. Thank you James, Dino, Fernando, and TY for always running a class act and pushing out tight fades.Original review:James runs a tight ship. All the barbers can fade with the best of them and keep up on all the new trends and styles. James cleaned me up with a fresh 1/2 fade and one of the cleanest parts Ive ever worn on my head. Overall one of the best shops in Tampa.

No joke this place has the greatest barbers within a 1,000 miles. Very nice, polite, and they have the cleanest cuts. For someone who needs to get a haircut once a week it can get expensive, but these guys charge only $12. The pictures on the website do no justice. Perfect fade and straight blade cut. Would give 10/5 stars if I could. Thank you.

Every time I walk into the Barber shop I am greeted by my first name. The conversation is always good and makes for a great atmosphere even while you wait your turn. They also have a few tvs that makes it entertaining. I have been going for three years now and wouldnt even consider going to another Barber shop.Id rather let my hair grow than go to another place.

Went today. Cant remember the name of my barber - he was in the 2nd chair closest to the window. the first chair is vacant right now.I have to say he did a great job. I got a nice and tight graduated fade that is disconnect at the top and left some length.It was perfect graduated and blended - the way I like it.It seemed like everybody else in the shop was getting good cuts too.Thumbs up for this place - hard to find a decent barber in this area that understand clippers and style.

Love this place. Its close to me (as are many others) and easy to pop in for a quick cut. The guys in here know whats up. I hit many barbers in the area before I found a home in this place. They can do most any cut/style, you always get a blade shave cleanup when theyre done trimming and you walk out fresh and a new man. Did I mention they only charge $12 for a haircut? Seriously, I would pay $16-18 for a cut here. People know and love this place...so pick an odd time or youll have a little bit of a wait, just like any other place.

I love this barbershop, always on point with the haircut. The barbers are always nice, polite, and friendly, I even play foosball with them if is not busy😂... I have been cutting my hair here with Todd, but I will let any of the other barbers cut my hair and I am very confident I will not regret it. I agree this barbershop is one of the best in the South Tampa area and if you are military, please do not make the mistake to get a haircut in base, they are horrible, it is like getting a haircut in BMT.

I been coming to this shop since 2005 and have always had great service and cuts. I seen some negative reviews but want to promote how many great reviews this shop has. I normally wouldnt do this but I was witness to a situation today that I felt was wrong so I felt it is my place to defend the shop and barber. He asked for his edge to be pushed back and the barber advised against it. He didnt like it so he wasnt charged for the cut. The barber was very polite and offered the service of a different barber next time. As far as a client leaving, this is one of the regulars who always has meetings and often stops by for cuts and leaves if the shop is busy. I am always happy with my cut, all of the barbers have cut my hair and they all do an excellent job. As far as the service the shop, it is always friendly, relaxing and a clean atmoshere. Too bad people who dont know what they want blame others and not own up to their own decsions or mistakes. This customer was rude and showed no respect. Elite barbershop is the best shop with Great barbers and I highly recommend it. Dont let one bad review pursuade you for not trying this shop.

I have been going here for well over 7 years now and never have an issue. James always does a good job cutting the few pieces of hair I have left and the experience is always enjoyable.Parking can be tricky at times but that is really the only issue I can think of. They have 2 TVs to keep you entertained, music, restroom and magazines if you get bored.CASH only so keep that in mind! My haircut runs $12...pretty much costs me a dollar per strand of hair I have left!! :)

You may want to come to our shop. Many barbershop shop lack versatility you will not find that here. Anything from new school haircutting, beard grooming, to urban, to traditional haircuts, are executed with ease at Elite barbershop. Highly skilled, reliable and professional barbers that are capable of cutting all hair types and styles. For some people entering a new barbershop establishment can be terrifying. The moment I walked in the doors of Elite barbershop I fell in love with the remix songs email echoing through the speakers. The foos ball table provided great entertainment as I waited to be seated with my Elite barber. The clean and friendly atmosphere transcends into an old time barbershop. Parking is always available, accessible through Gandy Boulevard. So many times expectations are not met on account of not being familiar with the razor blade. Hot towel shave are always an option provided to customers. Regardless of your race or ethnicity you can count on a quality haircut. It is uncommon at all to see females sitting side by side with males customers but not here, they take care of all at Elite barbershop. Qualified barbers are available to cut any texture hair. From long layers to buzz cuts, a desired is not beyond imagination. Flat Ironed extreme layered hair is easily achieved. Round brush long hair to extreme undercuts are done on a regular basis. I was looking for a good barbar shop for my Husband as he is very very picky and rarely trust anyone to touch his hair.. We tried a few barbers in the area to his unsatisfaction. So we decideded to give it a shot.. HE LOVES THIS PLACE!!! Ive been getting my hair cut at Elite since 2005. I have never left unhappy. I get my hair cut the way i want and the barbers there pay attention and take their time. I like the price and make special trips just to be sure that Elite is who cuts my hair. I cant trust anyone else. I read a review of someone who was disappointed with the cut he received and all i can say is that in the middle of a cut if you need to stop them to clarify anything...just speak up. One thing that may help someone that has never been there before is to show them a picture of something you want...they can definately repeat what they see in a picture. Looking forward to my next cut at Elite. Thanks for 7 years guys.
