I stopped in without an appointment and was seen by HUGH FORD at Great Clips in Carrollwood Commons. Hugh first sat me in his chair and looked at my hair texture & condition. I explained I wanted more layers cut in my medium length, fine naturally wavy hair. I asked for a shampoo & conditioner even though Hugh said my hair was clean and he could trim it without (having the $10 extra added) shampoo & conditioner. I explained I preferred getting the whole lot because I personally wanted the conditioner.Hugh cut my hair dry (which many highly experienced stylists do with my hair type).I explained I preferred easy-care haircuts because I don’t like using hot styling dryers or irons and usually let my hair air dry after putting my favorite sculpting hair serum on my towel dried hair..Hugh is easy to talk to (and listen to. with his charming accent). More importantly, he listens to what clients who come to him want and delivers!

I was running errands the Saturday before Thanksgiving and decided I should get my hair cut. I went into Great Clips around 6:30 and Hugh took care of me. He gave me a great hair cut. I had a growing out pixie and he cut it so it wasnt so heavy but I could continue to grow it. It started to get busy but he took his time and was patient. Ill definitely be going back to him and recommend him.

Steve, the manager, is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to. His customer service skills are outstanding as he takes an interest in getting to know his customers likes and dislikes. He never makes you feel obligated to have to go back to him, but like any stylist he appreciates repeated customers. Thats what I call an outstanding hairstylist.

I dont write many reviews unless someone has done a job worth mentioning or is someone you should avoid. Stephen is the manager of Carrollwood Commons. Great Clips does reasonably priced haircuts. I learned a long time ago that you should always find out who the manager at a store is, and generally, you will get a good haircut. When the last manager who was cutting my hair left, I found out he was her replacement. He does an exceptional job cutting my hair, and Im very happy I learned that valuable lesson.

After having so many bad experiences with hairstylists in Tampa, Im so glad I listened to my husband, and gave this place a try. My hair was extremely long and breaking in some parts, so I wanted a radical change, and asked for a short bob with tapered back. Kathleen was amazing, and Im so happy with my hair cut. The only suggestion I can make for anyone wanting to get their hair cut and hair dried, book in advance through the website, as they wont be able to dry your hair if you dont book in advance.

My dad comes here all the time to get his hair cut & can not have highly enough of it! The wait & work times are always quick & easy to get in & out of the salon. The staff is always very friendly with my dad & hes always telling me stories about how much he connects easily with all the stylists. Looks like any other Great Clips. You can get your place online which is great so that you do not have to sit around forever when you arrive. Staff was friendly and doing their best with some missing or malfunctioning computers. Haircuts were great. Lollipops for the kids if they do a good job (I guess the adults could take one as well though I did not ask).

I have been coming here for along time and the only one that I had cut my hair was Rya as because I have had quite a few bad cuts from others there before I came across Rya and it never fails I called to ask when she would be there next so I could get a haircut and sure enough I knew it was just a matter of time and shes no longer there........ I took my elderly dad here for a basic buzz cut. The hairdresser was SO FRIENDLY with him, her customer service was exceptional. However, and its my fault, after we left I noticed his sides werent as tight in comparison to how much she took off his top. Not a huge deal since my dad didnt notice but to a consumer, pay attention! His next visit will only be $8.00 with our receipt, not bad!

We have been coming to Great Clips for our boys and typically my husband for years. We usually go to the one closest to our house and that goes for this location now that we live in North Tampa. Today I came in with my three and half year old son who absolutely 100% hates his hair cut. I warned Jennifer profusely who would be cutting his hair how much he will not be cooperating. She took it in stride and first off tried to get him comfortable with her before even making our way to the chair. I know today was no easy task with my son but she and the team there showed no hesitation in getting the job done. One of the girls even stood next to Jennifer to try and help calm my son down while I held him in my lap with all my strength. You guys were great today and I just wanted you to know that. I hope you dont mind if we return once every couple of months to go through this again. Great team here! Thank you for getting us through this haircut. 😊

I have gone to a few Great Clips locations and while my none of my experiences have been horrible they were nothing great either, uneven trims. So I decided to try the Great Clips at Carrollwood Commons. I was fortunate to have a stylist named Judy trim my hair... she did a phenomenal job and now she is my go to hair dresser! Not only is she a talented hair stylist she is intelligent and interesting to talk to while you sit in her chair. I would highly recommend Judy the next time your in need of a hair cut/ style, she is talented, very friendly and professional!😊
