I recently visited this salon for my first-ever perm, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My hair ended up being thicker than expected, but Bryan, the stylist, was incredibly patient and accommodating throughout the entire process. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and made sure everything was just right. Not only was Bryan super skilled, but he was also really friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. My curls turned out gorgeous and natural-looking, and I’m absolutely in love with them. The salon has a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, and I left feeling pampered and confident. If you’re considering your first perm (or any hair treatment), I highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely be coming back!

I was worried since my last 2 hair experiences somewhere else were very unsatisfying and it was someone I had used several times.As soon as Natalia started talking to me about what we wanted to accomplish I knew I had the right person! She knew exactly what she was doing and the end results was more than I could have hoped for. Definitely recommend this Salon to anyone interested in booking! Soon as I walked in I was greeted by Nat which she was so friendly and kind. The service I got done was a Perm by Bryan for the second time which turned out amazing once again and lasted me 7 months the first time. Turned out unbelievably curly no wonder they call him King! He is so professional and great at what he does. I was so happy with the results I will be coming back again routinely. Its very nice inside and plays good music which is a plus hehe the owner is always offering something to drink and yummy chocolates at the end. Please don’t hesitate and BOOK!!! I haven’t been to a salon in about four years since moving to Florida, but after reading the reviews and seeing how conveniently located it is, I finally decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did.From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. Nataliya was absolutely fantastic. She washed my hair perfectly and styled it in a way that exceeded all my expectations. Everything was done in a timely manner, and she was incredibly kind, personable, and generous throughout the whole appointment.One of the highlights of the experience was that I could enjoy a glass of wine, and my husband, who accompanied me, was offered coffee. She took the time to engage in conversation with both of us, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.To top it all off, she took before-and-after pictures of my hair without me even asking, which was such a thoughtful touch. Fabulous!! I visited Mooi for the first time for a deep tissue massage and it was wonderful. Natalie didn’t phone it in but gave everything she had and she has a wonderful, strong method. I get my PT from Potentia next door and thought I’d get massage next door afterward. What a great find!!! I’ll definitely be back.

I absolutely love this salon, especially Nat, Alicia and Brian. I have been getting my hair done here for almost two years. As a military spouse, it is always so hard to find a new salon in a new place. They are always so kind and very professional. Alicia always does a phenomenal job on my color and cut. Nat always takes care of me in the salon and I take both of my boys to get haircuts by Bryan. It is a friendly place and always look forward to my appointments. Thanks and you all soon!

Natalie is amazing . Simple as that . First time getting my haircut by her was a Last minute decision google search to find a place open after 6 . , i looked in a mirror and realized it was time for a chop. I had zero expectations i was lookin for a trim / clean up and walked out with one of the best haircuts ive gotten in my life . About half way through i could already see how great of a job she was doing . She took her time and made me feel like a gosh dang superstar. All in all , i will be seeing natalie again and would advise you to do the same . If you know me you know i love my hair . I am a musician and my hair is a part of my shtick . It was my first time at this salon and I was nervous as not many stylist I came across know how to deal with Asian hair. I came in expecting to chop my hair off to shoulder length because of how thick, coarse, and long my hair was but Alicia advised me otherwise after telling her my concerns. Taking the shape of my face into account, She was able to create many beautiful layers, taking off lots of weight and thickness and I was still able to keep the length of my hair!! She did an amazing job explaining what she was going to do and I was comfortable the entire time.Highly recommend!

I am a Muslim and it is VERY difficult for me to find a place to cut my hair. I wear hijab and this implies I cannot take my scarf off in front of man.I’ve called a few salons to ask if they had a private space where they could do the haircut (a closet would’ve worked, I am not picky) and got turn away instantly. Fortunately Mooi was on my list and after explained my ordeal to the owner, who was so very kind and understanding, she gave me an appointment and opened just for me on Labor Day!!!Nat was very knowledgeable, she actually listens to what you want and delivers! I cannot recommend this salon more. From the second I walked in, the owner made me feel right at home. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome, offering me coffee and Italian chocolate. My stylist, Alicia is a true color artist. She took her time truly listening to my various hair requests, made several suggestions, and then carried out my vision to perfection. She is very professional and listens to my ideas. She always guides me in the right direction with what service/style will work best with my hair. Salon Athena is my favorite salon I’ve ever been to. LISA IS THE BEST!!! She makes sure you are happy with everything , and gives the best customer service and experience!! I first learned about this salon after my stylist, Brian, started working there. The location is great - its convenient (if you live/visit the regular downtown area), and the staff is incredibly friendly.I usually get the following services there: 1) Relaxer, and2) Color and Conditional treatment. I am a pretty low maintenance person so I dont do intricate styles (especially for it to succumb to Florida humidity) and I have never had a problem with either of those services there.Note: to the person who recently claimed their hair was ruined by relaxing, I would like to say that while Im truly sorry you didnt receive the excellent service I regularly receive, you lost me at claiming that you were told you can wash your hair after relaxing it on the same day. As a person who has done this for many of their adult years (despite having a sensitive scalp), I can say that I have never and would never ever wash my hair the same day as a relaxer, and no stylist I have ever had would ever recommend that. You shouldnt need to wash it on the same day because it already gets throughly washed to get the treatment out, and your roots/scalp need some time (days) to adjust to the effects of the relaxer. It is within your right to be dissatisfied with your experience, but its equally important to get some facts straight. [To the salon: I know you dont need my help with defense, and Ill be happy to remove this paragraph if you request it.]Anyway, the salon allocates my time for services perfectly as I am usually done on or before the time they have set. I like that I can call, or book my appointments online as well.I highly recommend this salon.

Ive been getting my hair permed for 9 years. The last few times I had my hair permed was a disaster. My hair wasnt curly and was super frizzy after getting it permed. I wasnt sure if it was due to my hair, the product, or inexperienced hair techs. I decided i would get my hair permed one last time. If it didnt work out, then i would give up on my curly hair era. If it did, then i would continue.My experience with Mooi Salon: On Saturday I went into this salon and got my hair permed by Brian. He double wrapped my hair with the curlers and used extra perm solution. When he was finished with my hair, i had the BIGGEST smile! I couldnt believe it! Usually after I get my hair permed, I walk out of the salon looking like a poodle lol and have to wait a few days to wash and see if it turned out good. Not this time! I felt like me again. Like my confidence was back. I went home and looked into the mirror once again and laughed with pure happiness. Few days later, after my first wash, and its unbelievably gorgeous. I honestly couldnt be happier. Mooi salon just gained a lifetime customer.Thank you so entirely much! I absolutely love my hair. For the first time in a long time, I feel beautiful. I now have hope once more. I very very highly recommend Mooi Salon to anyone getting their hair done. 10/10 recommend!

Richard does a wonderful job on my highlights and haircut. He has a great personality. I have been going to him for some time now. I am always happy with my hair when I leave the salon. The manager is very nice and friendly. The salon is clean and has a nice ambiance.

I followed Bryan Cross to Mooi when he started there in early January 2023. Bryan just understands my hair (which is curly and I also wear it straight sometimes). He is quick and efficient. Plus, the blowouts he does do not make my hair frizzy and last me almost a week, I started coloring my hair about 6 months ago and this last time I went (which was the first time I was at Mooi), the color seemed so much better. The location is also very convenient.

Bottom line: ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDI’ve gone to Salon Athena twice now. Both times I was absolutely amazed! My first stylist was Nadia who cut and layered my hair. I’m always pretty nervous about getting a haircut but she was so detailed and made sure everything was even and even styled it for me afterwards.This last time I had my hair cut/highlighted by Lisa. First time ever having highlights. Lisa was SO THOROUGH. It was later in the day but she still took her time and didn’t rush through it at all. She picked out the perfect shade of blonde and toner and gave me highlights that blended flawlessly into my hair. I have never been so happy with my hair. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted and she ran with it.The building is super clean, all the professionals working there are extremely nice and willing to work with you for what you want. There is a promotion going on for first time customers so I got a great deal but pricing before discount is very reasonable. This is a beautiful salon with such friendly staff! They offered me a drink while I got comfortable in the salon robe to protect my clothes and Ronny was so easy and fun to talk to while she did my color.
