My two daughters (ages 8 and 10) and I came in for a fun day of hair transformations—color and cuts—and the team at Platinum delivered beyond our wildest dreams.From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel welcomed and at ease. Jonny and Natalia were incredible! They listened carefully to my girls’ ideas (they had some BIG plans for their new looks!) and brought their visions to life with skill, patience, and care. It was clear they were committed to making the experience special for all of us. My daughters were absolutely thrilled with their new hairstyles, and seeing their confidence and excitement was priceless.I’ve been coming to Donna at Platinum Salon for my own hair. Great place. Savannah Reese was my stylist, and she took great care of my hair. It was my first time adding color, and she gave great tips on what I would possibly like and what would look good. She was also friendly and easy to work with. She cut my hair to a better style and with nice layers, and her price was reasonable for the expertise and services provided. The only thing I would advise is maybe don’t wear a hoodie or lift your head during the wash because some of the bleach water got onto my hoodie (that could’ve been my fault). Besides that, I loved the service and my hair 😊

I have gone to this salon for both my daughter and myself. By far this is the best salon I have ever been to. Exceptional staff and service. I highly recommend the Platinum Salon. I came into the salon with bleached damaged dry hair and came out with my hair feeling fresh, soft, and shiny. Jelena revived my hair back to life. She was so kind and patient. I have been looking for THE place for my hair for years. This is it! When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the gentleman at the front desk .The salon is gorgeous ! Then my stylist Johnny came over within minutes with a big smile and a hug. He was so personable. I got a great cut and style and a head massage with my shampoo. I recently went to a place and had a terrible experience. I didnt like the cut, color, or blow dry. So I went to see Allen at platinum and he fixed it for me. The other place made my hair black when I wanted chocolate brown. Allen was able to fix the color, fix the cut, and styled it really nice. The whole experience was wonderful from my hair to the exceptional customer service experience. I went from feeling ugly to feeling pretty and it really made my day. Thank you so much Allen!!

I might sound dramatic but I am a tad emotional writing this because Platinum Salon saved my hair! I had previously gone to another salon in Lutz where I spent $1K and 10+ hours to achieve horrible results, I was depleted. I decided to try Platinum Salon and I’m so relieved I did. They took me in and corrected the flaws from the other salon and color matched me perfectly. I will never stray from them again. Fair priced and so skilled at what they do. Also shout out to Michael at the front desk who knows how to represent a company in the best way and offer personalized service. Adore you Platinum!

I was invited in to Platinum after I posted publicly that my hair was ruined by another stylist and I needed help. Allen graciously offered and ultimately went above and beyond using several techniques perfected over 34 years he has been in business to make my hair presentable again. And he made it look effortless! Additionally, he offered me a deep discount to offset what I had already spent 5 days before having it ruined and what I will be spending to maintain it over the next year as it grows out. Im so grateful!

OK, let me start from the beginning. The owner of the shop is a very nice man. The man behind the counter. Is it even nicer man? I wanna think their name is Allen n, Michael great guys run a great establishment. Bringing my wife here for a couple months now. And she is always satisfied with her hair. Her hair is always done by a girl named Savannah. You cant miss her. She has the beautiful pink hair. She absolutely does an exceptional job at. Haircuts hairstyles hair Coloring highlights low lights. Anything that comes to a head of hair. This girl is the BOMB!!!!Super easy to talk to very personable. A loving human seems like the whole establishment. Are good people highly recommend coming here to get your hair surface done or perhaps sitting and chatting with the stylus. While your wife gets her hair done, its always a good time.

Ive been a client of Platinum for two years and my regular stylist recently left and I rescheduled with Johnny. I was initially skeptical because I didnt know this person, but we hit it off quickly and I was very happy with my haircut and style. What I LOVED about my original stylist was that, in addition to a flawless haircut, she would always give the best scalp massage and then style my hair with beautiful curls. Johnny won me over by doing these same things, without me having to ask for them. My hair looks beautiful and Im pleased with the result. It was money and time well spent to get my hair done by Johnny!

Update: Following the best haircut was the best color highlights with Johnny. The pictures say it all! He artfully blended my ashy blonde roots with low lights and elevated by blonde to a more natural looking level! Love love love it!. The whole salon has a great vibe! I just got the best haircut of my life with Johnny at platinum salon! First he touched up my ashy grey roots and blended them in beautifully. The shampoo was like a mini massage! And if you have neck pain- their shampoo bowls lift you head up and a foot stool keeps you so confortable and relaxed! Loved that! But the hair cut.... seriously- this guy knows what hes doing! A true artist who gave my flat shapeless stingy hair more movement, body and trxture than I ever thought possible! Ever want to go to one of those high end salons in New York and get your hair done - well you can have that with here in Tampa with Johnny who was trained and worked in New York! HE IS SO GOOD! But the whole place is fantastic! From the time you make an appointment with the very knowledgeable and pleasent front desk, you know this salon is different. Really focusing on your needs and making professional recommendations. The salon itself is beautiful and clean- they even sanitize the hair brushes and wrap them in plastic! The other stylists seemed really good as well- I saw a great precision mens cut and a Stylist giving an older lady a perm that turn out beautiful. Prices were extremely reasonable considering the outcome. You get what pay for but they exceed all my expectations! If youre looking to freshen your look, bring your hair back to life or a total makeover- make an appointment with Johnny TODAY- I predict that it wont be long before theres a long wait list!

The amazing owner Alan took the time to go over all the pros, cons and what is healthiest for my hair. I dont even know where to begin with this review honestly, I will say that I am a 31 year old woman who had never been inside of a salon and to say I was nervous to have someone touching my hair or even being in this kinda place is an understatement. As youll see in the first set of photos my head was a mess and as a SAHM I can never find time to do anything and even if I could I decided to butcher it out if pure boredom 😂 Weve all been there. Ive dealt with breakage,clumps and clumps of major fallout since I got sick back in 2021 and needless to say Ive been very much down on myself so as a birthday surprise my best friend did all the research on the best salons out here and booked me an appointment where she spoke with Mike who listened to all of concerns,and to be real my best friend is EXTRA and she knows it and will not settle for anything less than the best,he said he was booking us with their best stylist and they were NOT lying! I walked in a nervous wreck and within less than 20 mins if talking to the AMAZINGLY talented Miss Tammy I felt as ease. She made me feel so welcomed and listened and preformed more than what I thought was even possible. She was very honest and wasnt just out to make money but to take care of her customers to ensure they leave with healthy hair and that alone is big. She was very sweet and sent me home with nothing more but nothing less than what I actually needed to start healing my hairs. I never thought Id be able to go blonde after literally torturing my hair since I was 16,but she made it clear that if she feels like doing something certain to someones hair that they want and she knows it could mess up and ruin their hair that she wont do it and that made me respect her for her work and passion so much more!And lastly but definitely what we all came for,she gave me my dream hair and Im so happy to now have her as my regular stylist and to be going on this new hair journey with her! I have seen such amazing reviews for this place and I wanted to check it out myself for a haircut and beard trim. I got put with a newer stylist, Natalia, who seemed eager and excited to do my hair. I was nervous at first, as I have never been to this salon before and I was with someone new, but it is safe to say that Natalia is the only stylist I will be going to moving forward! I say the same thing about how I want my hair to look, but the result was the best I have ever had. She was very communicative with me and brought me along the entire process. It was refreshing to have someone who was so precise and clearly cared about the happiness of the customer, rather than the paycheck. She even made suggestions about small, detailed changes that would look best with my face and she was spot on! The great conversations and professionalism I had with Natalia left me with a smile on my face. If you ever need to get your hair done, go to Platinum and ask for Natalia!

My daughter went to get a silk press and it was terrible. The stylist blamed it on her having bad ends but even the roots of my daughters hair was still puffy and not shiny at all. She has gotten silk presses before and even with her ends her hair came out amazing. My husband paid $80 for her to walk out looking like who shot john ... Though the staff are nice and professional, I do not recommend going here if you have natural afro kinky hair.UPDATE: after posting my review, the salon reached out to me to fix my daughters hair. The rep was very nice, and concerned and even opened the salon back up for my daughter to fix her hair. I definitely appreciate the gesture. And Im hoping my daughters hair can be fixed .UPDATE: It looks soooo much better. I appreciate the stylist taking the time out to correct the style from earlier. Her hair looks like she went to a salon now. So much better than earlier. I am very grateful that the stylist came back and put in the extra effort to make sure I was happy with the style. Jozzii worked magic on my icky grown out rather brassy blonde. When she finished my hair it looked and felt healthier then prior to processing it. This is my 2nd time at Platinum and this time I had a scalp facial treatment by Jancy and it was incredible! I highly recommend this treatment. It was so relaxing, Jancy does the best scalp massage! My scalp feels so good and it’s not itchy or flaky like it normal. Then Alan cut and highlighted my hair and my hair looks and feels fabulous!LOVED my experience at Platinum. My daughter and I had a fabulous experience here at Platinum Salon Tampa. The wait time was quick and we had vip service with ready to order nice hot coffee by Micheal, office manager. I did, cut, color & highlight. After trusting my hair him for over 25+ years, i leave it to the expert yo choose my color:)! Of course, as you can see in my video, the color came out so fabulous!! My teen daughter who has natural curly hair, wanted it straight and last minute & they were able to accommodate. We love them. Within 30 minutes, Al and his staff work on my daughter, and as you can see, it was, so beautiful. She did a cut and straighten. She was so happy. She kept playing with her hair all day long and kept getting compliments through all her social media. All her friends didn’t even recognize her. I went in for a simple haircut and I left happier than Ive left a salon! Allen is the best hair designer Ive been to. He and everyone who works for him makes you feel so welcome and feel like you matter to them. I would recommend him to anyone and from what I saw from the other hair designers, its not hit or miss. They are not just hair stylists, they are artists. Be prepared to fall in love with Yancy too (Im sorry if Im spelling your name wrong). Alan was awesome! I’ve been to a few salons now and he’s the first person to do exactly what I’ve been wanting. I kind of gave up trying to get a stylist to give me exactly what he did so I went off to different colors but I’m so glad I tried one more time to get this! It even looks better than my inspiration photo I showed him. He gave me the contrast I wanted with the dark hair and the platinum I wanted in the highlights. My hair also looks and feels healthy!

I wanted to share my story and experiences about Allen Coleman and his Salon...Platinum Salon. I moved back to FL 3 years ago on this Friday. I had been going to the same High End salon for many years. I was very disappointed to find out there were no similar salons that had the same vibe and culture that I had become accustomed to for many years. I always had the best. I could not find one salon that I liked in the area that was close and work with my very crazy schedule and life.I went to many different stylist and salon based on the referrals of others. I was told that they had experience, and it would be great. Not only was it not great, but it was also horrible. I am Greek and I have very long, dark, thick and curse hair. I have to get my grays touched up almost every other week because of how fast my hair grows. I would go home every time with color all over my face, or they didnt get all the little stubborn grays. They never thought...I just sent my client out into the world with color on her face and it has my name on it. It was so frustrating. I am in my 50s and in sales. Looking good is important to my image and professional success.Fast forward. I had just moved to Wesley Chapel. I joined the Wesley Chapel FB group. I went on the group and asked who the best stylist and salon in the area was. I received over 30 response and over half of them said contact Allen Coleman at Platinum Salon. I believe even Allen reached out. I reached out to him on FB, called the next day and got in the same day. That was the day my life changed forever. I cant even put in words how much Allen and his team mean to me. I am actually getting emotional while writing. You cannot put a price on how someone makes you feel. Over the last year I have gotten to know Alan very well. He is one the most important people in my life. Recently, I went in to have express straightener. While sitting in the chair waiting for my hair to process. As always, I was watching Alan do his magic. I normally would say...Allen cant you find a way to make gray and not have to cover the gray anymore. And of course he would tell me not with you very dark hair. This day was different. He had a blond in his chair, with beautiful highlights. But that wasnt what caught my eye and interest. It was her cut. I complimented both of them. it was my turn to get back in his chair. I said in a very bold & confident tone. Alan are you ready to cut all my hair off? We talked about it a few times. That day I was ready to make a drastic change. I am so glad I did. I have not been this happy with my hair since I do not know when. A week later I went back for a Magic Sleek straightener treatment. I was once again overwhelmed with emotion. I cannot say enough about Alan, Jancy, Johnny, Tammy, Savannah and the entire team. I might be my oldest, but I feel my youngest. I absolutely love my Platinum Salon Family. We can forget the man behind the scenes that keeps everything running. that would be Michael. How can you not be in a good mood when Michael is around. I recently had my first experience at Platinum Salon. We just moved to the area, so I needed a new stylist and some major help on my grown out roots (it had been 7 months since getting my done, before I had my baby!). I was scheduled with Savannah and had to call to move my time back an hour since running late from a kiddo’s dr appt. Yancy was happy to accommodate me still, but with Tammy. When I arrived, Savannah was still able to take me and she was happy to address my hair issues and work with what my hubby requested for a new look as well. She explained she’s still quite young but was trained during high school, and has been with Platinum for three years. She did an amazing job! I loved how Tammy still came over to “check in “ even though she wasn’t able to take me, and introduce herself. They and the head of house, all of the staff was a great team and family. I even met Michael, the owner, who rang me out and gave me some recommendations for other things I was looking for in the area. He had been shooting a promo video for Valentines in the front of the salon, but was super involved and kind. I can tell this group is very much like a big family, and I will be returning. My appt was with Allen, whom I believe is the ABSOLUTE BEST OUT THERE! My first appt with Allen I was nervous just bc it was my first time and as all of us ladies know you have to earn trust. This place was an awesome experience! From the moment I walked in I felt the customer service was top notch! I am of Asian decent and I have dark dark hair. I wanted to do something extreme and really different for the new year. I was very nervous. Tammy sat down with me and really took her time to consult me and make me feel so comfortable and we went ahead and went from black to platinum blond! She did so amazing!!! I am so so pleased with the outcome and the hospitality the entire staff showed me through the entire process! Michael greeted me immediately at the door and Tammy and Alan, along with almost every staff member worked on my hair throughout the entire process, and my hair looks amazing! Wednesday afternoon, I was looking at places to get my hair cut after being disappointed with messed up scheduling by a nearby salon. Platinum Salon is the absolute best in the area and beyond. Ask for Tami!! When I came in for the first time, I had grown-out, damaged, blonde hair with very long, very dark roots and the intention of returning to a silver/gray all over color that I had done in the past. I am used to seeing the shock on stylist’s faces when I have proposed this in the past, however, here, I was met with excitement and a realistic plan that took into account not only achieving the color I wanted but also the health of my hair. Since then, I have been back every six weeks for a tone/treatment/cut as per Tami’s recommendation to keep my hair healthy and maintain the amazing silver color. To speak to the amazing customer service and genuine care for their clients I say this: I came in today and while my hair was being done, I began having a stomach ache that put me on the very verge of passing out. Tami and Donna both did everything they could (bringing cold water, a cold wet towel for my forehead, and checking on me every couple minutes) until the pain subsided. It is very obvious that the stylists at Platinum not only know their art very well, but also love what they do, as the work reflects. I get multiple compliments (not over exaggerating here) every single day on my hair. Give creative liberty to the artists!! You will not be disappointed.

O. M. G. Allen was AMAZING today. I went for my first Brazilian Blowout and I’m in LOVE. After having children, my hair turned very wavy and because of its natural thickness was very difficult to blow dry and straighten. He was very personable and walked me through each step. Once my hair was dry and straight he noticed that my hair wasn’t cut straight so he fixed my hair to make sure it didn’t look like a hack job. The stylist Allen did a great job on my hair and did so in a very professional and timely manner. Yesterday I had my first experience with Platinum salon. My appt was with Allen and I was very worried when I came in. I have had some bad hair coloring experiences and due to medication my hair has thinned significantly so I cant afford for it to be burnt. I wanted salt and pepper color which is a darker gray and shiny gray mixture. Allen looked at the picture and gave me exactly what I asked for. He foiled my entire head of hair so fast I was amazed. Another stylist had told me it would take 6 to 8 hours to achieve what I wanted. I was in and out in 2 and a half hours. I was so thrilled with my hair I actually cried on the way home. Although I am a grandma many times over I didnt want grandma gray hair lol and I got the most gorgeous shiny platinum gray with chunky dark lowlights. My husband loves it and my grown son said he expects me to start doing some kind of super woman tricks like the marvel comics movies lol. Definitely not an old lady color!!! I just want to thank Allen and Michael for a great experience. Ive found my hair home.

I go to hairstylist Camery and have been for a while. I’ve had multiple hair colors, and cuts done by her and not once have I been disappointed. She makes me feel flawless and my hair flows & looks just as much! I’ve attached some photos of my journey with her and will continue.! Highly recommended

Maria M. OMG where do I begin my experience at Pure Hair and Platinum have been nothing but great. Allen does my hair quickly and beautifully. He resently started coloring my hair, I just love it. I strongly recommend them to anyone thats looking for a wonderful experience and a great hairdresser you wont regret it. His employees are kind, helpful and courteous. So glad I found him. That place I go to for off the wall style cut.Found them by randomly call salons that will accept me on the fly. This was the only who did. So it was by luck at first.But when I got there, Tammy, the stylist, took me in. She listened and was accommodating. I got the feelings that if she could not do what I asked, she would be honest about it. Which is a major big deal for me.I was donating my hair. They even gave me a referral place to do such thing.Then I had some non traditionally cut in mind. Tammy was great. She was not sure, but she asked her coworker for help. Another good and rare finding: The workers work with each other.I love the place so much, I went back again. Had a different wild cut. And it was so much fun.Wishing them continue success.

I have never had a hair experience like this I am so happy I feel refreshed and not so emotionally drained from how my hair was looking this team is awesome!!!! tammy did my hair and Im so thankful she took the time to make me feel like me again!! The best of the best! Amazing at meeting your scheduling needs, they are willing to stay late or open early. Tammy is PHENOMENAL! I have never met a stylist who cares so much about what shes doing and just truly helping you feel special and relaxed. And she gives a killer head massage! I wont go anywhere else. Check them out!

Photo on left was from another hair salon. I asked for a bob and to have it thinned out. My daughter didn’t like it whatsoever. So I brought her to Platinum Salon & Serena took care of her. As u can see on the right picture her hair actually looks like a bob and it’s so sleek. Don’t waste money at other salons and come here first!

Great hair cut & coloring ever. After trying numerous places to have my hair styled in the Tampa area I found Platinum. Allen ( the owner is a great hair stylist). He is kind, patient & always give me the best hair cuts! Staff is friendly & kind. Especially, Michael (front desk & Tamara, one of the hair stylists).The Place is always clean & during this difficult time of COVID, everyone wears a mask, clients are maintained socially distantly from each other.Prices are the best in Tampa area. I always get complements from friends & others. The highlights are gorgeous.I strongly recommend Platinum & AllenCathy Foy

This was my first visit to Platinum hair...I can honesty say that I LOVED my experience! The whole staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in. Destiny is amazing- Seriously, have her do your hair! She really listens to what you want and you can tell that she truly loves what she does!

This salon is amazing- a hidden gem 15 minutes from Land o Lakes.The stylist was very friendly, professional and knew it she was doing. I came in needing a color correction from doing an at home color.Whitney took my mess and made it a beautiful blonde.She didnt rush to get me out the door and made sure to get the look I wanted, while maintaining the integrity of my hair. Thank you again!I will be back.

Had such an amazing experience with Jozzii today. After a thorough consultation, she listened to everything my daughter wanted and the final result was stunning! I was honored to have Alan give me the most amazing cut and color. I showed him a couple pictures and he understood the assignment. The before picture is my long, dark, dull, washed out hair and the after is the beautiful short, blonde master piece. I am obsessed! Highly recommend Alan if you’re in need of a transformation.
