We had an absolutely amazing experience at Sharkey’s. The staff went above and beyond, starting with playing lovingly with our son to make him feel comfortable. They were incredibly attentive to our child’s needs, and what really stood out was their dedication to perfection. On two occasions, when we as parents said, ‘It’s fine, it’s enough,’ they took the initiative and said, ‘Hey, we can do it better,’ and they did! It was truly fascinating to see such professionalism.The little details made the visit even more special – kids cab sit in fun cars like a race car or a fire truck and at the end they even receive a balloon. Even though working with kids, especially like our son, can be challenging, they showed so much patience and effort. They do it with passion and expertise. We’ve never experienced anything like this before – it’s worth every cent. Highly recommend!

I have taken my child here a few times and we usually book with Brittany who is always fantastic and very thorough, but we had to make a last minute appointment before an event and booked with Faith. Faith was absolutely wonderful and patient considering we were the last appointment of the day, and my child was a wiggle worm. She worked to ensure that she was still able to give him a great haircut. She spoke very kindly to him and was able to complete the cut in only about 15 minutes! I appreciate her and the rest of the great staff at Sharkey’s 😊

Lexi was wonderful! We had her as my daughters hair stylist when we lived in Tampa, and now we have moved to GA. Shes been so great that I make sure my daughters have appointments with her for haircuts and fairy hair when we travel back and forth between GA and FL. She cuts my daughters bangs very well, and she does fairy hair in the best way with the clips. I found out each Sharkeys does it in their own way, and I was not impressed with the one in GA, in which they sew little strands into their hair. This comes out very easily unfortunately and its painful to put in. With my daughters, she makes sure the colors show through the hair and uses the clip method, which makes it much less painful and can last for months (which my daughters love!).

Lexi gave my son his very first haircut (super cute certificate!) and we weren’t sure what to expect. Go figure, he was scared and cried but Lexi was so patient, caring, and considerate trying to help him relax. She was so careful cutting his hair and despite his constant movement his hair came out great! The price was perfect. And my son got a balloon after the haircut and immediately smiled! I had someone else cut his hair when I got back home to TN and unfortunately she wasn’t able to give him a straight haircut with all of his movement so I realize it took A LOT of talent and maneuvering from Lexi to give him such a nice haircut. As a parent I also got to live vicariously with my son sitting in the cool Top Gun chair 😄 I wish I lived closer bc I’d be a regular customer for him and myself!

Was a little nervous about our first born son’s first haircut. Finally committed to getting his first cut at Sharkey’s and Ms Lexi did amazing! She was so nice and took such good care of our boy. Such friendly staff who do quality work. Will definitely go back.

From the moment we walked in the staff were amazing. Brittany is wonderful with kids. She made our daughter feel like a princess from painting her nails to cutting and braiding her hair and even added gemstones to her hair. Our daughter was on cloud nine the whole day. Thank you!!

We got our daughters first haircut here, we drove an hour for her bangs to get cut and then to add tinsel to her hair and it’s actually really reasonably priced ( $20 for anyone wondering, $15 for a bang trim and $5 for tinsel ) we also bought a crown ( it’s not some cheap stuff from the dollar store its an actual metal crown) and a cape ( red riding hood style) as it was her first experience and all together it cost $76 with tip. So for the comments saying it’s super expensive I have to disagree . Now let’s get on to the actual service, the salon is clean and well staffed. Lexi is who cut our daughter’s hair and let me just say she’s amazing !!! She’s patient, kind, she’s funny and she makes the experience very enjoyable for the kid! The haircut itself went amazing and the final look was perfect ! My daughter could not be happier and now wants to keep coming back for all future hair styling !

Mr Kirby and Ms Jay were so good with both of my boys! They were personable and made my kids feel comfortable and at ease with getting a haircut. They also did a great job with my boys hair- looks so much better and cleaner! I would definitely recommend either of them for their phenomenonal service.

This was our first time at Sharkeys, Brittany was so patient and gentle with my son, he is terrified of haircuts and she had him smiling the entire time, she definitely made the experience so much easier then I expected. We will definitely be returning!

Lexi the manager is so awesome!! We were there a few weeks ago and got a cut and some tinsel for my 3 year old daughter, and it just didn’t come out very good, but today Lexi did such an amazing job, made sure that the little piece that holds the tinsel is the same color as her hair. It looks so much better! She was so helpful and wanted to make sure we were happy!!!

Took my daughter and son here for their first hair cuts. They had a great time and Mrs. Lexi and Mr. Kirby were BOTH SO FANTASTIC with both children. My one year old son loved getting to watch his favorite YouTube video while being distracted from the cutting, while riding in a firetruck chair, and my daughter was spoiled like a princess and even got a little manicure. This is THE BEST haircut salon for kids that I drive 30 minutes from St. Pete just to get there.

As always, Jay is amazing. My sons first haircut at a different place was so traumatic that he had refused to get a haircut for almost a year until we found Sharkys. This is now his 3rd or 4th time and the experience is always pleasant. Jay is always kind and understanding of my toddler and talks to him and explains what is going on. We drive about 50 min to get to this location and would never think of going anywhere else ❤️ thank you Jay!

What an amazing kids barber! Amazing set up and environment for boys and girls and different ages. I wish I could get my hair done here honestly lol. I found Faith at Sharkeys because I was talking to the Mom of one of my daughters classmates explaining how difficult it was to get her a good haircut because she squirms and has a pretty bad cowlick. Thank God this Mom told me about Faith at Sharkeys! She has been a Godsend! Not only does she do a great job cutting my daughters hair, my daughter now looks forward to going and seeing Miss Faith and getting her haircut! We love Miss Faith!

Took my daughter to Sharkey’s off Henderson in South Tampa for her first hair cut! We saw the naturally talented stylist, Lexi. Lexi was fantastic! My daughter was nervous, until Lexi kneeled down and explained step by step what she was going to experience. This lady is a toddler whisperer!! My daughter can’t wait to go back to Sharkey’s to see her new pal!

We had Jay for our appointment, Jay was kind, patient and reassuring during the entire visit for my son. He was getting his big boy haircut. My son moved a lot but Jay was quicker with the scissors. Jay was able to cut his hair before he could turn his head. Jay took time to attempt the buzzer by gentle turning it on and letting my son see it and touch it. We decided it wasn’t time for it since he was weary about it. At the end of the visit Jay made sure that we were satisfied with the haircut before leaving🙂

Fantastic! Although I did not attend, I heard my son’s first haircut experience was an amazing time enjoyed with his Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa. We thank Lexi and the whole Sharky team for making it a fun and inviting atmosphere. The fact that my son got to choose his haircut chair got him super excited to be a part of the fun! He liked his fighter jet chair so much that he wanted to go back on the way home. I highly recommend for first haircuts and many other salon type needs!

We had a great experience here! My 2 year old loved it! She warmed up to the place as soon as she got to pick the frozen car to sit in. She loved getting to watch a show during her haircut then drew on the walls in the bathroom before getting her nails painted for the first time. Angie did great with her! She loved getting a ring and prize to take home. The 1st haircut certificate/ lock of hair and trophy were great for me to add to her baby time capsule box. They did a great job of making her feel special!

Our little guy got his first haircut here today - alongside his big sister for support - and both cuts were beautiful! Our stylists were accommodating, friendly and made both kids feel at ease. Our little curly haired guy didn’t shed a single tear, smiled the whole time, and was just so comfortable and happy here. Our big girl walked out with a Halloween tattoo on her hand, crown on her head and balloon tied to her purse. My 4 year old son has had some traumatic experiences at Barbershops but he was a like a pig in poop at this place. We did not schedule an appt and we didnt have to wait long as walk-ins, even as we came about 45 min before closing. The owner was very kind and accommodating to him and there was plenty to keep him busy while we waited. We will absolutely take him here every time from here on out. I dont have a single complaint. I am really glad this place exists.

What a fun place! We desperately needed a place like this in South Tampa. I wish this was around when my kids were younger. Took my 7 year old daughter in for a hair wash and cut. Very kid friendly. She loved it. She wishes she was small enough for the fun chairs. But she was big enough to play many games on the video screens while they worked their magic on her hair. Daughter had her choice of games and didn’t want to leave. Cut was great. Price was right. Such a fun place for all ages of kids. Will definitely be going back there for EVERY hair cut.

We took my daughter in today for her first haircut and we had the BEST experience! Lexi was SO WONDERFUL and made this core memory moment very unforgettable! She did so great with my little one, she cut her hair and it looks amazing and we all had so much fun!!! This was my second time at Sharkeys the first time was to get my daughters hair cut before school started. We got greeted by Brittany. She did a fantastic job on my daughters hair and listened to everything she wanted with her haircut!Today I decided to book an appointment with Brittany to get my haircut (Yes, they cut mommys and daddys hair too!!) Before we started, we talked in depth on what my expectations were for my hair and then what she could do.Let me tell ya, my hair was long, thin,dead and unhealthy. Brittany worked her magic gave my hair a fresh new look! It was evenly blended, full bodied and healthy.Id 100% hands down recommend Brittany for kid haircuts and mommy haircuts. She does a fantastic job.Well definitely be back!!

Lexi was fantastic! She was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions. My daughter has curly, textured hair, and Lexi was incredibly knowledgeable—she gave great advice on how to care for it between cuts and even recommended a few new products to try. We really appreciated her patience and expertise. We’ll definitely be back to see her again!
