    My transformation was drastic. From start to finish this place and all of their stylist were so impressive. I reached out to one and she referred me to another who specialized in the color I wanted. I appreciated the honesty and how well they all work together instead of being competitive. I spent pretty much the entire day at the salon and it was professional, modern and they took care of all my needs. I’m extremely happy with my whole process of working with them and especially my stylist Rae. I would highly recommend them!

    Gotten a rezo cut with ismeida and she quite literally saved my hair with the cut and treatment. she is very easy to talk too, understood my concerns and also told me what was being done at every step which I LOVE. her energy is amazing and i didnt feel stress about this haircut at all, shes very trusting!! 10/10

    Finding a new stylist in a new area is always tough!! I booked with Paulina and she was amazing and also so sweet! I showed her some old pics of what I wanted and she did an amazing job and also said we could play around with the color for next time, if needed. The cut was perfect, too! I have thick hair but wanted it shorter with layers. Sometimes it can turn into a lions mane, but the layers make it look great. Definitely recommend going to see Paulina!!

    Kelsey has done wonderful with my hair and experience! She listens to what you’re looking for and executes it even better than you imagine! She offered education on products and recommendations for my hair that I asked for. She doesn’t push products onto you to buy like other hairstylists do, but instead shows you what she’s using and the purpose. Her knowledge on products and how she explains them is so helpful. She is a hairstylist who is truly skilled and loves what she does. I share her information with everyone who compliments my hair. She makes sitting behind her chair easy to trust and feel safe that the style will come out perfect!

    Sylvia is one of the best manicurist I have ever worked with. She takes her time, she is detailed oriented, she takes care of your nails and cuticles. She doesn’t use the machine and on top of it all she’s pleasant.The salon overall has a great vibe. The women are nice and they offer you cartaditos and cappuccinos.It is a conveniently located inside the mall to your right when you walk inside. This is the perfect place for a local or for anyone visiting. I’m definitely coming back.

    I’ve been going to Shear Art for over two years now after searching through salons, and I’ll never go anywhere else. All employees are friendly and professional, the establishment is clean (especially during the pandemic, their guidelines were amazing and made me feel extremely at ease!) I see Rae Stanton who has transitioned my hair from blonde to brown, done amazing 22 inch extensions for my wedding, and now transforms my color each visit. She is a true visionary and artist who makes dreams a reality!! Highly, highly recommend.

    Ok don’t walk run to this salon and get your hair done by Paulina let me tell you how she understood the assignment slayed my hair! This girl is magic I went yesterday not knowing what to expect being a first time client there and was hoping for the best but my girl did a great job and she was so sweet and personable!     Pami was my stylist when she was in North Carolina. I will miss her dearly but her move to Florida and new job is so well deserved. She is the most thoughtful and skilled hair stylist I have ever had. She completely understands my vision and goals and does exactly what she says she will. I have had bad cuts in the past and it’s such a crummy feeling to feel like you weren’t listened to and have to suffer horrible grow out. It’s such a relief to sit down in a chair and know exactly what to expect. She also prioritizes hair health and client education. I have learned so much from her! I wish her all the best!

    This is a very high-end salon and its even open on Sundays!! The Stylists are very knowledgeable and they carry Redkin products. I was very pleased with my highlights and the price. Highly recommended!

    My stylist Jessica N just moved there and I came to this Salon to continue seeing her. I have been seeing her for years and have followed her from another salon she used to work at and then her own private place and now here. She gives the best haircuts I have ever had. I finally found someone who really knows how to cut layers AND she has worked with my hair both straight and now -since I’m trying to embrace my natural texture- curly. We are working on growing it out while maintaining the curls right now. It’s a journey for me because I’ve never embraced my natural hair texture before but I trust Jess to get me there! 😆

    Jamie, at Shear Art, is one of the most amazing stylists I have ever had highlight and style my hair. I have used several stylists at Shear Art;, however, Jamie is one of the absolute best! Jamie discusses what you expect and LISTENS to your expectations. Going to Jamie on a regular basis has improved the condition of my hair,, definitely improved my hair style, and has done wonders with the color of my hair. Going to Shear Art is something I look forward to and enjoy it because of Jamies excellent work, her easy going and friendly demeanor and her talent.     I went to this Salon for the first time and was impressed with how clean and huge this salon is. Pam did my hair and she listened to exactly what I wanted. She is meticulous with her work and explains everything she is doing. She was easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable regarding hair. I asked her what I could do with my hair because it gets really greasy so quickly and she suggested a few shampoos I could try and they have been helping! She definitely goes the extra mile.     I was recommended this salon by my former salon when I moved states and I could not be happier here! I see Kristina and she is not only a top notch stylist, but she also is a joy to talk to while getting your cut. She is very knowledgeable about all the products and she caters to your hair specifically, not what she thinks would make the most money or what the salon may be marketing currently. Theyre prices are reasonable for what you are getting, and they have a loyalty program that helps you earn points towards discounts. All in all of your are looking for a great place and a wonderful stylist who cares, look no further, and dont forget to ask for Kristina!

    This is my favorite salon of all time. I’ve been coming since 2015 and they always take incredible care of me and my hair. The staff is friendly and professional and the stylists are so so so talented. I’m a natural redhead but over the years it has faded. They’ve helped me maintain my color and confidence! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair but Shear Art! Julie is a genius!

    Ive been looking for a good hair salon in the Carrollwood area, and went to this place based off of the reviews. I was not disappointed! The salon itself is really nice and clean. I had an appointment with Rae, and she was amazing! Literally the best shampoo ever, and she cut my hair far beyond my expectations. The price was very reasonable for the quality of service that I received, and they even have a rewards point system. I will definitely be back and asking for Rae!

    Searched through a lot of places when I first moved to FL last summer and I was nervous on finding a new hair stylist. I found Esther’s instagram page and loved her work so I decided to check it out. Been here twice now already for my balayage and Esther is amazing and very accommodating! The salon is very clean and professional would definitely recommend! Also they serve wine :)

    No matter what service I go for I am always pleased! My hair is by Taylor and she makes magic happen. My daughter has very long hair and wanted a perm...I was a bit nervous but Kathy made it ok, and made my daughters wish come true- and she looked AMAZING! Tina for eye brows and nails as well as Lisa...the whole team there makes you feel and look better. Whatever you need- they have it!

    My husband has been getting his hair cut with Nellie for a couple of years now and he is very happy with his cut every time. He is pretty particular about how it is cut and prefers a scissor cut over shears and she does a great job. We highly recommend Shear Art and Nellie.

    The salon was recommended to me by a neighbor. Because of the price I only visit every once in awhile. I have used the same stylist each time. She has been very hit and miss. This last visit was a total miss. I was happy though after returning to have my hair cut repaired another stylist a newer young lady Andie, did a great job and I left feeling much better.

    I will forever go to Jess Brady at this salon! She gave me the look I have always wanted to try - a balayage! As a mom of two kids both under 3, it was important for me to feel pampered, which Jess did very well. I was relaxed and felt so beautiful afterwards.     I cannot say enough about Sarah Thrift at Shear Art. I have been going to Sarah for a year now. Rare is it to find a stylist who is awesome at both color and cuts, but she has done fantastic color, highlights and lowlights for me. Last month I brought a picture for her to see the cut I wanted- she cut my hair exactly like the pic. Aside from being so competent, she is so nice and thoughtful. I would definitely continue to recommend her.

    I was way past due for a haircut and couldn’t go any longer so I called Shear Art. They were able to get me an appointment the same say with Valerie. The salon is clean and pretty inside. They are a Redken salon and use great products on your hair. Valerie gave me an awesome haircut and styled it cute. It cost $60, average price.

    I see Dallys at Shear art salon north and she is absolutely amazing!! The salon itself is always so welcoming and so clean. All of the staff is kind and friendly. Dallys does a beautiful job with my blonde highlights! She makes them look so natural and fresh with a root smudge as well.     Shear Art Salon & Spa has undergone a beautiful renovation in the last year or so and is a hidden treasure in the shopping center of Carrollwood Village. Located just a few steps from the Cold Stone Creamery and on the opposite side of Walgreens, Sheer Art shares a parking lot with many small businesses as well as Publix.I have not had the pleasure of visiting the spa yet; however, when my daughters were in high school it was quite convenient to be able for them to have their make-up done and follow up with their hair being fixed exactly the way they asked, and ending with a mani/pedi! Shear Art are professionals with what they do AND they do it like a well oiled machine! When my oldest daughter was married two years ago, I brought in the entire wedding party and they could not have accommodated us any better!However, my review today revolves around ALLISON, my stylist, who after 6 years still spends as long as I need to discuss how I liked my previous haircut and highlights, if there was anything I wanted to change or alter, and if I inquire about anything different, she takes more time to ensure that I understand how it will grow out or how the color might change. She also reminds me if we had done something similar before and if I liked it or not. How many of you can honestly say you hair stylist spends 10-15 minutes discussing what you want done and gives her opinion if she feels it might not be right due to your hair texture or hair color. She is fantastic about knowing if it will or will not work!Allison also does not put haircuts in between your appointment. Ive been to some high end salons where while my highlights are processing, the stylist is cutting someone elses hair and I had to wait or had the lights turned off until she finished with the haircut and blow dry . Allison focuses on me, just me! She offers me something to drink, brings me a magazine I might be interested in, checks my processing 2 or 3 times in the short time my hair takes and massages my head until I practically fall asleep when she washes it out.Allison again discuss my cut as she is cutting my hair and checks it again after she blow drys it. I tip her as much as I can afford because Shear Arts prices are reasonable compared to other salons. My daughter and I had an appointment on the same day and she goes to a high end salon in Hyde Park. We both had the same thing done: highlights, lowlights, hair washed and conditioned, hair cut, and blow dry.......I paid $130 not including tip and my daughter paid $300 not including tip.For me, it is not the money, it is Allison! I HIGHLY suggested you call Shear Art and book an appointment because it takes a few weeks or more to get an appointment! Thanks Allison for all you do!

    Where do I begin....My stylist moved to CA over two years ago and Ive been searching for a home. Ive tried many upscale salons in the Tampa area with no success and decided to try out Shear Art. I have very fine hair and love the platinum blonde which takes a toll on my hair. When contacting Shear Art to set up an appt, I explained my situation and wanted someone knowledgeable and who was educated. They immediately set me up with Blake. BEST decision I ever made. This guy really knows his stuff. He was also assisted by Lysia (sp?) who was great too. They listened and offered great solutions. They care about the integrity of your hair but deliver results.     Great colorists and I always get a good haircut. I wont get my eyebrows done here though, they didnt do a good job on those...might have been the person though, she was new. Also dont be late to your appt not even 5 minutes....you will be checked in, then you will sit and wait out the rest of your alloted appt time waiting for your stylist to come get you only to be ignored..then you will watch your stylist take their next appt after you. It is only after waiting and watching this will someone from reception come up to you and explain with a straight face that becuse you were 5 minutes late you missed your half hour appt. Even though you just sat there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come get you and even though you still have about 7 minutes left in your appt time..and they took the next appt during your time. They were more than happy to work on me next though because that time slot was free. Other than this incident, Ive always enjoyed it here.
