Love the Study Salon! I see Liz E. and she’s phenomenal— my husband, who has curly hair, has never had a stylist more intuitive and understanding when it comes to his hair type. For me, whether it’s color or cut, she’s able to consult and create the look that I’m going for. Or, if I show up with 0 plan, she takes the time to help me figure out what would suit me best based on the season or what events are coming up.Plus, love the products here. I started going to The Study when I moved to Tampa a little over two years ago. My close friend had suggested that I see her stylist as she was familiar with cutting wavy, curly hair. All it took was one haircut, and I was hooked! I haven’t seen anyone else for my hair since. My hair is truly at its best since I’ve been coming here. Ashley really takes the time to have a conversation and understand what you’re looking for. I always appreciate her explaining what she’s doing and why she’s doing it. I will always recommend The Study (and Ashley!!) to anyone looking for a salon recommendation.

Actually the best hair salon I have ever been to and Ive gone to a good amount in the Tampa area. I wanted a hime cut, which isnt a very regular haircut. Liz did an amazing job and I love how she asked me what my thoughts/vision was throughout the way. This was my first time getting this haircut so I was a little worried about how it would look on me but she made it look so good. I will definitely come back

Finding a new hair stylist can be daunting, but I lucked out when I found Kiersten at The Study. The salon itself is super cute. But most importantly, Kiersten is one of the best hairdressers I have ever had! She does a phenomenal job on my color every time I go. She is passionate about her craft and it shows. The same goes for her haircuts. I highly recommend both The Study and Kiersten. You will not be disappointed!

Love, love, love The Study. From their salon set up, to their products, to their stylists, everything is first rate. I found this retreat when I was searching for a place that uses Kevin Murphy products (the only product that revived my hair after 21 years of pulling it back into a bun all day). I could not recommend this place more to anyone. Love it and I love my monthly appointments. I get my self care in a sweet setting with good people. Any stylist can take care of you. Mine is Sabrina and I love her! Enjoy!

I was so nervous as a first time client, having been religious to my previous hairdresser for a long time. But Ashley greeted me by my name and explained everything to me that we would be doing to my hair over my appointment. I was with her for over 5 hours and felt comfortable and informed the whole time. She spent a long time explaining what was best for my hair texture after such an intense highlighting session, which I am very grateful for. She perfected the results and I am so so happy. Hal does an incredible job every time! I have very thick naturally straight hair and have either had so many people totally screw it up or just had to get cuts with no character. Hal always kills it. Super cute in here as well and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended!!

I found the study after having a traumatic experience with another Tampa salon. I had gotten extensions for my wedding and I knew that something was wrong. I found The Study, and Ashley, and as she removed my extensions (put in by another salon), most of my hair came out with them. It was horrifying. Ashley and Stephen were so caring. During the last two years, Ashley has helped me not only grow out my hair, but successfully have extensions while doing it. Their methods at The Study for extensions are extremely safe and do not cause a lot of shed. They take this very seriously and I cannot express just how much I appreciate them and the work that they do.

Sabrina has been my go-to hairstylist for years before I moved away for school. She’s amazing! She has gotten my hair from red to blonde to black. When she told me she moved salons awhile back, I knew I had to check it out while I’m in town for winter break. Unfortunately, Sabrina was out of town but she recommended Kiersten and put me in touch with her. Luckily, Kiersten was able to get me in on such short notice. I have thick, coarse Asian hair which can be a challenge for hairstylists to work with. But Kiersten did an amazing job! My hair feels lighter and looks more refreshing. The salon itself has a very clean and earthy aesthetic. It feels very cozy. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Parking here can be a little confusing so make sure you parallel park on the side of the building on Osborne Ave. Overall, I highly recommend this salon and will be coming back whenever I’m in town again!

What can I say good about the study. They first off are great people who do your hair. Stephen and Ashley are both so knowledgeable about every aspect of hair. They color hair, they do hair treatments, they do hair extensions, they do so many great things with your hair. If you just put your hair in their hands they will make you beautiful. Stephen and Ashley are talented in their craft and you can trust their advice on how to change your look. The salon is such a gorgeous place. You feel like your at home with their comfortable couches and they give you snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is truly like you have known them forever it’s so comfortable. I recommend you try this salon at least once and I guarantee you will go back to do your hair all the time. Friendly, polite, and caring is how Ashley and Stephen are. Alright, the truth is no one wants anyone to know or be able to tell that you have extensions. BUT we ALLLLL want long, full beautiful hair!!! I’ve had multiple types of extensions throughout my life that have ruined my hair and then I have to “take a break” and let it grow out. Not with these! The Weft Extensions are to die for! My hair isn’t damaged when they are removed and replaced, they feel light weight and comfortable, There are endless color options, mine matched so well I didn’t even have to color my hair to match! They curl and straighten easily. You can wash your hair and let it air dry and the texture resembles your real hair. If you’re looking for something MORE, definitely give these a try!And don’t give them a try with just anyone, the experience won’t be the same unless you do it with Stephen!!! He’s amazing, humble, free , funny and he genuinely wants to make you feel beautiful!!! Thank you for being so great!

I love the chill vibe, all the plants, the owners personality will have you leaving smiling and laughing, and their honesty and suggestions are based on the clients needs/wants verse suggesting something that may benefit their own pocket. I enjoy that I’m not pressured to chit chat if I don’t want too - some days I like to listen to my podcast when my color is processing or moving up my extensions, which leads up to the BEST part of this salon.... Invisible Bead Extensions!! I have thin hair and my pony tail always looked super sad and overall no definition. That was until STEPHENNNN showed me what one row of invisible beads would look like and it was the best decision - I feel confident and beautiful (which we ALL deserve to feel). I also found this gem because of a referral so I hope this helps you make the decision to give the salon a try — LJ
